The atmosphere is fun and the ambiance has a saloon 1920's feel to it. The staff is also very friendly. Although the appetizers are tasty the main entrees are mediocre. Their pizza lacks seasoning and flavor which is what they are most known for. Their drinks are not great, the one I had tasted like listerine. Which is good if you're trying to get drunk, bad if you like drinks with quality taste. Also when I went they were on a wait with 5 tables open. Odd. They also only had 2 featured drinks for happy hour and no food specials which was underwhelming. This could be a cool place to hang out but it did not meet my expectations. Once a newer bar opens up in the area and this place has competition it will surely plummet. read more

Response to owner: I have an app called "find me Gluten Free" which is where I originally was suggested to try your restaurant. Considering I have celiac, I always immediately ask the server (before ordering anything) if the place I am at has a gluten free menu. Since YOUR (obviously unknowledgeable) staff said YES. And brought me out an adjustment menu , stating the gluten free menu looks "ghetto"( her words) is only because the gluten free menu was being re-done, but wasn't printed yet. I posted a picture of the menu she brought me... that alone should show you need to re-educate your staff. I will NEVER be back to this establishment, not only because of the service, but especially because of the way you have responded to this issue. It's almost embarrassing for you, and your entire establishment. Very inconsistent, very unreliable, very untrustworthy. You should advise your staff to stop greeting new customers with the saying "this is a fast pace kitchen, so as soon as any food you order is ready it will be out." Everything we ordered came out at the same time... 30 MINUTES after we ordered. Disgrace. read more

A few people in our group couldn't find anything they liked.. the menu is the same old thing, pizza crust was good but the sauce was bland, the wings have great taste but came out kinda burnt. My 4 star review remains the same as the food is awesome. The pizza is fresh with the San Marzino tomatoes, wood-oven char, thin crust and great flavor. This time I had the Bada Bing shrimp and the wings. No disappointment there. And the service was attentive and pleasant. Thanks Lexi!! Again, however, I raise the issue of the pour with the martini's. $9.00 in a smallish prohibition-era glass that was barely half full...once you took the two huge olives out of the glass. The Director of Marketing (I think that was his title) responded to my concern about the pour (thank you!!) with his take on why the pour is what it is, but unfortunately I will no longer be purchasing martinis at this venue. Probably no loss. I will just stick to the beer and recently adjusted pours of wine. If I want a well poured martini. I will go to the Telford Inn who do it more customer-friendly for the price. Despite this minor issue, the Cinder Bar is a welcome establishment, and I will return. Keep up the good work. read more

I really really want to like this place but they've made it so hard. I first visited Cinder Bar during a going away party from my old job in 2017. I had a great experience, food was great, but it took forever for my boss to get the check, though I really enjoyed the food and beer. So much so, that I took my family the next day for a lunch. The food was great but the service was so very slow. We were there almost 2 hours for my wife, son and I. And we had to ask for the check at least 3 times. This past weekend (8/5), I decided to take my wife for a birthday lunch especially since we had a $15 off coupon. Our server was EXCELLENT, the food was good and his suggested beer pairing was great. Not only that, but my 8 year old son was undecisive (sorry!) about what he wanted on his pizza, so the server made a suggestion and did a phenomenal job with his choice. However, we couldn't escape with a perfect experience. The first issue came when I ordered a beer based on the QR code in their menu that had the full list. That wasn't up to date, so I couldn't get what I want. Not a huge deal, but a pain. Then, we put in a dessert order, and shortly after my 3 month old daughter started to cry so my wife asked me to take our dessert to go, and she would wait in the car for me. After a few minutes, our server came over and apologized for the wait, telling us they would be right out, and handed me the check so at least we could get that done quickly. Which I agreed with, 2 birds one stone and all. After another 10 minute wait, the server came back and said the kitchen screwed up and didn't make our dessert, but was going to make it right, that he would be right back. I was a little confused, and then a manager came over. She said they were not going to charge us for the dessert, and were going to take some of the bill off. I didn't ask for anything for free, but appreciated the offer. Another few minutes went by, our server brought over a dessert for my son and I to share while we waited for our "to go" dessert (?) and apologized for the issue. Shortly after he brought our "to go" back with the dessert we ordered. A manager came to us and apologized again for the issue, said she was taking a bunch of stuff off our bill, which again, I didn't ask for (I will never ask for anything unless its a truly awful experience), but greatly appreciated the offer. Our bill was dropped from roughly $60 down to $15. I still felt the server did everything in his power to help us, and he still had to do the work, so I still gave him the full tip that I would have given him prior. So the bill should have been roughly $27-28. I checked my credit card bill this morning, they billed me the total original amount. Again, not asking for anything for free, but if you're going to offer something, make sure its done right. My wife and screaming child waited 20-30 minutes for this dessert issue to be resolved, and in total we were there almost 2 hours for a quick dinner. I unfortunately won't be back. My former employer had a service related issue, I had a service related issue on my second trip, and on my third and final trip had a service issue. Though it wasn't related to my server (who really was awesome), it was a kitchen problem, it was too much stress on my family to deal with. A shame. Really really good food, fair prices, but they just can't seem to get the service right. **Update** My card was updated to reflect the right amount, so I gave the review an extra star. First time visiting the Cinder Bar. We waited approximately 45 minutes for a table, which was fine since we got drinks and sat outside until our table was ready. The problem was when everyone at the table got their food, but the two of us who ordered the pizza turnovers didn't get anything. Turns out our order was never placed. We live nearby and really want to like this place but more often than not we have been disappointed with the food. The kitchen is hit or miss, even when ordering the same items. The beer and whiskey selection is very good but the prices are not. Relative to Philadelphia, the prices are fine but for Clarksboro its overpriced. If you go I'd suggest lunch because the food has been better when its less crowded. Also if you are a sports fan you will be disappointed in the TV selection because as far as I can tell they do not have DirecTV. read more

This was our first time visiting. We were seated fairly quickly and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall food was good, but my Risotto dish was VERY salty and undercooked. I definitely wouldn't order that again. Pizza and Chicken and Waffles was great. Only other issue was they had forgotten a sauce on a plate and when we asked the runner for it he told us to ask the server instead. At first I was a little skeptical about going to the Cinder Bar, i'm not sure if their website is compatible with other phones but on my iPhone I couldn't view the menu and when we arrived there was no space left in the parking lot. However all the staff members were really friendly, the environment was beat and lively, most the people in the crowd ranged from mid 20s to 50s and the food was delicious! Turns out the restaurant is also owned by the same owners of the village pub in Logan and cicontes pizza. Two other places that I enjoy going to so it makes sense that this dining experience was enjoyable. For the appetizers we ordered Ukrainian pierogies and The cheesesteak eggrolls with spicy ketchup. Both were really enjoyable and the cheesesteak eggrolls were really filling. For the main course we had the salmon with walnuts sauce on a cedar plank with brussels sprout hash I highly recommend this plate.my only complaint with the salmon is that it was topped with a scallion that was welted I could not cut it nor could I eat it so it really shouldn't be on the plate. My husband had the shrimp roll, he wasn't too crazy about it. For the desert we shared a nutella and marshmallow pizza and an ice cream cookie skillet. We each had two drinks and total was around $75. Everything comes in locally even the tables were made from wood salvaged from storms. I look forward to coming back. read more

I never been so disrespected in my life than my most recent experience at Cinder Bar. Myself and a few other friends went to Cinder Bar for a few drinks and a good time. With my past experience with working in the restaurant industry, I am very respectful of the staff and am generous with my tip. During our visit, the bartenders were not really attentive and we had to go up to the bar to be served. When it came to closing out my tab, my one friend and I split the bill. The bartender was so confused as my one friend had paid in cash and I wanted to pay the remainder with my card. Now I'm sure everyone could agree that after a few or more drinks on a Saturday night it would be safe to assume that the person paying with their card would only pay 20% tip on what they had to pay. However when I was in the bathroom the bartender who wasnt even our waitress or bartender the whole night confronted my group of friends about the tip we left out bill.This waitress/bartender only waited on us a few times during the night and as many as you can guess we were confused by her aggressive accusations. When I came out of the bathroom this waitress decided to confront me about the level of service I received. The tip was a honest mistake but the way she went about it was so aggressive and beyond disrespectful that I will make sure I never go back there again. This is the most unprofessional establishment that I've ever visited and I will make sure I let my local friends know about this unpleasant experience! read more

This place is fantastic. A relaxing culinary oasis in South Jersey. I had lunch and dinner quite a few times there and the food is absolutely amazing. You have lots of healthy options and comfort food as well. You have to try their cured salmon dish, the ahi tuna, the plank salmon, oh and do not forget the Brussel Sprouts (with garlic and bacon). All I can say is wow! This place is all very unique and unlike anything in Southern New Jersey! The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I had the Brussels sprouts, the conte pizza, the candied bacon, and the pirogies. The Brussels sprouts were good, the candied bacon blew my mind and the pirogies were unbelievable. Tonight was our first time at Cinder bar and it was AMAZING!! The food was incredible- I highly recommend their wood fired pizzas and the truffle fries!!! So good!!! Our waitress was also great- she took the time to explain everything and we never had to wait for anything- she was totally on point! They have so many different cocktails and craft beers too! We had a great dining experience at Cinder Bar! We were a party of 8 and were seated within 10 minutes of arriving around 5:15pm on an already busy Saturday evening. The beer selection is great, and the drink menu also included tasty non alcoholic options for the women who were pregnant in our party. We ordered a mixture of small plates including Cheesesteak egg rolls, Wings, Edamame, Sriracha deviled eggs, Bada Bing shrimp as well as pizza, salads and sandwiches. Everything was delicious, and arrived quickly. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the one issue we had with one of the desserts was handled well. I also appreciated not feeling rushed from the staff even though the restaurant was very busy. We generally enjoy dining in Philadelphia for better food options, but will keep Cinder Bar at the top of our list in the future! read more

I regret not writing a positive review about our previous visits since we did enjoy this restaurant every time we went. The food is great and unique for the desolate culinary wasteland in which we live, and we were happy to find a place featuring fantastic, creative cocktails for me alongside craft beer for my husband. We especially appreciated the variety of local beers on tap. Today I read that Cinder has joined a small boycott of NJ breweries and will no longer serve their beer in protest of a proposed change in the law that would allow local breweries to skip the mandatory tour of the facility and sell packaged snacks like bags of chips. A few bar/restaurant owners are protesting because they feel it will devalue their liquor licenses. How on earth is going to a brewery that only serves one brand of beer and snacking on some Fritos at all comparable to going out to a nice restaurant and enjoying your pick from a variety of alcohol and menu options? When we go to a brewery we are looking for a completely different experience than we do when going to a restaurant or bar. Last week we went to Death of the Fox, which is just a few doors down from Cinder, and we were planning to go to Cinder tomorrow night. Going to the brewery doesn't mean we no longer want to visit Cinder too. Having a local brewery in the same shopping center shouldn't affect Cinder's business in the long term if they continue to focus on serving tasty food and a variety of beverages. I assume this protest is in direct response to a brewery opening up next door. Way to be neighborly and welcoming of a new local business. I was hoping we'd see Death of the Fox beer on tap at Cinder so this is especially disappointing. Obviously we'll find somewhere else to go tomorrow since we too feel we have something to protest, in this case an unwise business decision on the part of the restaurant owner. read more
