Naturally, I pulled up the Yelp app to search for something open nearby for recommendations. Turns out Delicia is one of my friend's boyfriend's favorite restaurant in Broad Ripple. They both frequent the restaurants in that area as they live in the neighborhood so that's definitely saying something and I can see why based on the vibe and atmosphere! We were only there for drinks (which were amazing) and they were definitely worth making another trip for. I ordered the "Pulparindo" which is slightly spicy tamarind vodka, fresh mango puree, raw sugar simple, lime juice and a yummy tajin rim. I would have had more of it wasn't last call when we placed our order. Another popular choice was the "FIRE 'N' Ice" made with el charro jalapeño infused reposado tequila, hibiscus I basil I habanero reduction, tres chiles infused ice ball. Beautiful presentation with all the drinks. Our waitress was great and attentive. I also really liked how I felt instantly in a better mood in that space and I will be going back again for dinner soon.

The service was quick and staff were friendly. We LOVED the queso and Johnny Cakes for appetizers. Everyone's meal was delicious and well portioned. If you're in town and looking for a more upscale experience with a Caribbean/Spanish cuisine then I would recommend this spot.

3 stars I tried…read moreAgave & Rye today for the first time, and I was honestly underwhelmed. First, I want to say that the overall atmosphere was pretty nice. It was a cool-looking restaurant and felt like a cozy spot. My food came out looking amazing, and it tasted great. I got the Mac n Cheese Donuts and the Grilled Crispy Chicken Burrito. My issue was mainly with the service. From the time my friend and I were seated, it took 15 minutes for us to be greeted, and we had been sitting there for more than 20 minutes before we received our drinks and had a chance to order our food. This was during the early afternoon with very little foot traffic, so I personally don't see why there was such a delay in what could've been a smooth experience. I also asked for a to-go box but was never brought one, so I had to leave my leftovers behind in order to walk to work and make it there on time. I would try this place again, but maybe next time I would sit at the bar to make the interaction quicker and easier.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. From the moment my boyfriend and I…read morewalked through the door, we were met with rude and unwelcoming service. Initially, I tried to give the staff the benefit of the doubt and assumed they were simply having a busy or stressful night. However, after observing how our server interacted with another couple compared to how we were treated, it became clear that the level of service we received was noticeably different. To make matters worse, the food we were initially served looked old and far from fresh. We eventually had to ask for a manager to step in, and when he returned with our food, it looked significantly fresher than what we had originally been given. That alone was frustrating because it made me question why we weren't served food of that quality in the first place. The woman with the long blonde hair and older-looking appearance was particularly unpleasant and made an already difficult day even worse. Her attitude and the way we were treated were completely unnecessary. I wasn't asking for special treatment, just basic respect, decent customer service, and fresh food that we were paying for. What should have been a simple, enjoyable meal with my boyfriend turned into an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. No customer should have to feel unwelcome or fight to receive the quality of food and service they deserve. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this establishment.

WOW! This is my new favorite restaurant!…read more I grew up in Southern California; Mexican food is comfort food. As a new(ish) vegan, I was resigned to cooking my own, whenever I craved Mexican food... but at Tlaolli, I was spoiled for choice! I ended up trying the hibiscus taco (clever, creative, with a wonderful melding of spices and a punch of bright acidity), the tofu mole taco (smoky and creamy, with well-balanced spices), and the Nonono tamale (no meat, no dairy, no gluten), which was roasted poblano peppers and soy chorizo with black bean paste and corn masa (a bit dry, but super flavorful and great chew). And there was housemade tamarindo, which I have always loved, and it wasn't over-sweetened, which I loved even more. Tart and bright and refreshing! His Goatness the Hubbins got a mixed platter of vegan tacos (I was proud of him), and dad got meat items, which he enjoyed (the owner let us know all meats are all natural, with no hormones). And we all shared salsa and chips, which was smooth and well-flavored, with lots of spices but only mild heat. (I could have drunk the stuff.) Atmosphere is intimate and cozy, with a few tables inside the colorful cafe and a few painted picnic tables outside. Everything is clean and tidy, including the restroom. Service was friendly, sociable, and passionate about the food they're creating. Seriously, I love this place. Can't wait to try more of the vegan menu options!
