We really liked this place! The server was kind and the restaurant had lovely natural lighting and several tables. The food was tasty, and the salsas were pleasantly spicy without burning your mouth off. We ordered the vegetarian burrito and the huevos divorciados! I wasn't the biggest fan of the celery, carrot, and green beans in the burrito but that's personal preference, and overall it was good! My wife and i tried out this place this past Monday for the first time after knowing of its existence for years...There was one couple at the bar and NO ONE at any tables..just us...I didnt mind as i like it quiet.these days...One waitress,"Fatima" doubling as a bartender as well!...We ordered an appetizer,Clams baked( excellent)the combo fajitas(steak and shrimp) and the enchilada mixta.....I dont consider myself a mexican expert so i will give a basic food impression...Shrimp were great,nicely seasoned and jumbo..The steak was good as well..tender although with fat on ends( i just cut it off..the meat was plentiful....Our enchiladas ,i ordered steak,shredded chicken and shrimp,3 of them stuffed and enjoyable... I didnt care much for the "mole"..My wife and i were engaged in very nice conversation with Fatima thruout our stay...End of meal,still no one entered the restaurant....One very troubling part of our dining experience and i mentioned it to Fatima...we had one or two gnats flying around our dishes..they later turned into 5 or six....Our waitress mentioned it was a problem they were having at the time...Drinks were good ,prices were high....The best thing i can say of our experience was meeting FATIMA..Shes a very sweet young woman..very personable ,attentive and kind....I hope MANAGEMENT..if your listening,IRON out the issues preventing your restaurant from being solid.(gnats, some food prep)..Id like to see that young lady going to work at a solid establishment.Little things not addressed can make a restaurant fail,especially these days!..Id hate to see that happen! read more

Wow, the food here is amazing. We've ordered from here a bunch of times since they opened, and everything we've had has been excellent. The pozole is fantastic. It has a delicious broth and is packed with pork and comes with a tostada on the side. The homemade chicken soup is perfection and has lots of meat and fresh vegetables. The chicken and cheese enchiladas in green sauce are amazing. The sauce is so flavorful. The al pastor, chicken, and chorizo super tacos are all excellent. My absolute favorite dish though has to be the chicken in chipotle sauce platter. It's incredible. The sauce is so flavorful and the rice and beans are better than any place I've had in a long time. We were looking for a place to eat in the Church Ave. area where we knew that there are lots of restaurants. We came upon this place and decided to take a chance. Well, sure glad that we did. The food and service were great. We were there during off hours so there were only 2 other tables taken. I ordered the Rib Eye steak. It was super tasty (served with grilled cactus and onions on top) along with the black beans, rice guacamole and salsa that came on the side!! And yes I did say cactus. It was very mild and went very well with the steak and onions. You will probably not find a better rib eye at this price. My husband ordered the Cubano sandwich with mixed meats, that he enjoyed as well. Highly recommend when you are in the mood for Mexican. read more
