With that being said, I've tried a variety of their menu items. They offer a wonderful variety of tex-mex dishes, burgers, soft-serve, and more. Another thing I appreciate about all their entrees is that you can customize them, include whatever meat you want, remove items, and add items. I really do appreciate this as it makes your meal truly cater to your cravings! This location is a takeout spot or drive-thru experience. There isn't any indoor seating spaces, although they do have a covered outdoor eating space. The service is usually pretty quick and friendly. I have never had any issues here with my order and I have always received the correct order within a reasonable amount of time. Everything is made to order and tastes very fresh as well. I would say the prices are fair and the portions are giving, depending on what you order. They do not offer complimentary chips with most meals though. On my most recent visit, I tried their nachos with shredded beef and churros. The nachos included a bed of their corn tortilla chips topped with black refried beans, jack & cheddar cheese, then topped with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa fresca. These were just ok and definitely not my favorite thing from here. I don't think nachos are served best as takeout and the chips got kind of soggy. There was a plentiful amount of the tender shredded beef though. The flavors were there, it just wasn't executed the best and I would probably opt for their tacos instead. I also don't love El Indio's guacamole as it reminds me of premade store bought guacamole. Their chips are also hit or miss...sometimes they taste very fresh and other times they are slightly stale. On this particular experience I didn't think I got the freshest chips. Their churros I got hit the spot and were coated in ample amounts of sugar & cinnamon. I thought these were a perfect way to end my meal and really enjoyed them! Overall, I really think El Indio is a solid spot for Mexican in Midtown. They have a solid business and are relatively close to campus. The food tastes very authentic, is fresh, and has a lot of flavor. While the nachos weren't my favorite, I love their tacos (all of the meats I've tried have been wonderful!), taco bowls, and their soft-serve is AMAZING. I truly enjoy ordering here and will definitely be back soon! I would recommend checking them out if you haven't already.

I opted for a patio seat, which turned out to be a highlight in itself as I watched the foot traffic and street life go by, making for a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The chips arrived with salsa that, unfortunately, fell flat. Sparse on cilantro and short on flavor, it didn't do much to set the stage for the meal. The refried beans that came with my burrito were a touch runny, though they actually paired surprisingly well with the chips as an impromptu dip. The star of the meal was the burrito itself, tasty and satisfying. It delivered where it mattered most. The rice on the side was solid if unremarkable, the kind of dependable accompaniment you'd expect. Overall, the Burrito Factory and Cantina is an all-right spot, but it has room to grow.

Our server was Brandon, who was an absolute delight! He was so energetic, so friendly, and gave great suggestions. We started with drinks. I had a skinny margarita and my husband had a Frida (top shelf margarita) and our son had a Coke. First thing we ordered was the chips and salsa. The chips were perfect, not too thin and not too thick. They came with two salsas. Both were tasty. Not sure if there is a spicier option but we will check next time. I ordered the Birria tacos. They were so delicious! So much flavor! The avocado tomatillo salsa was perfect with it. My husband ordered the Al Pastor tacos. It was very traditional Al pastor. He loved the black beans. His words were " these are the best black beans I have ever had!" Our son ordered the chorizo tacos. First, I have never seen chorizo tacos offered in a Mexican restaurant. Secondly, they were amazing! To finish, I ordered the banana pudding and our son ordered the churro sundae. Both desserts were delicious. The portions were huge! All in all I say Nopal is quite the gem. Perfect portions and dishes that are packed with flavor. And service that goes above and beyond. We can't wait to go back. We will ask for Brandon!!!

We have been to this area before on previous trips, but Tortillas was a newly opened restaurant since our last visit. We were definitely excited to give it a try! The restaurant is located in a modern development, combining housing and retail. It appears that there is a lot of development and growth to this area, and it makes sense that restaurants and other businesses are moving in. There are several other businesses and shops in the complex, and Tortillas is near the front on the left. At the time we went, it was not very crowded. We had no trouble finding a parking spot close to the entrance. The complex has private parking all around the buildings. There are several tables located outside of the restaurant, so you could dine outdoors and bring your dog. However, we sat indoors for this visit. Indoors, there are both traditional tables, booths, high tops, and bar seating. I can see this being a great place to go by yourself or with a larger group. Our group was 7 total people - four adults, and three smaller children, and we were accommodated with no issues. The people we were meeting beat us to the restaurant, so our table was ready to go upon arrival. It was not too busy at the time, so seating would have been no issue if you walked right in. The menu here is not extensive, but they do still have a variety of dishes and unique items to the restaurant. They also have a full bar, so there are many drink options to indulge in. There were appetizers, entrees, and even desserts. I also saw a sign for weekday lunch specials. Chips and salsa were complimentary, so our table enjoyed a few baskets of those before our main entrees came. We ordered the Grilled Mexican Street Corn as an appetizer also, which I really enjoyed! Anytime this is on the menu at a Mexican-type restaurant, I usually will order it. It was still on the cob, and it came with four halves. The kids at the table enjoyed an order of the Queso Blanco to accompany their chips! I personally ordered the Quesadilla Burger, as it seemed like a unique offering. It truly was sooo good! The Quesadilla "bun" was loaded with cheese and veggies, which paired so nicely with the burger. It was a great size too, and I only at half at the restaurant. It came with a side, for which I opted for the Mexican Corn. This was served off the cob, and was similar to the appetizer in taste and dress. As you might figure, I love Mexican Corn in any form, so this was great for me! The kids we were with enjoyed their entrees, so if you are looking for a good place to take kids this would be a nice spot. They also had milk for them to drink. The staff was accommodating to them as well, which is always a plus. Our service this day was wonderful! All of the food came out accurately and quickly. The waitress we had was top-notch! Her name is escaping me, but despite being pregnant she was stellar and a joy to talk to. I hope all of the staff here are as wonderful as she was to us! The prices here are fair. Some of the items I would say are a little more on the pricier side for what they are. Others, such as the Fajitas, I feel are rather cheap (comparably speaking to other places similar I have been). However, I would say the value is there. As stated, they also have lunch specials if you are looking to try it out for a few dollars less. I was extremely satisfied with my first experience trying Tortillas in Newberry! We visit the North Central Florida area at least once a year, and I would definitely dine here again on a future trip. I would recommend giving this spot a try if you are in the area, or have been thinking about stopping.
