Included with the meal is rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. They also included a bag of chips and two cups of salsa, not shown. Let me tell you that for $15.01, tax included, you'll be hard pressed to find a better value, or quantity of food. There was so much and I have a pretty healthy appetite. This food was very fresh, not greasy and very tasty. My only complaint is the fact that they need to add some more seasoning, but this is just a nitpick. You could take it back home and add your own! Isn't it amazing how lousy service can ruin your meal? Food was okay but nothing made me want to come back again. Salsa was pretty good--the perfect kick for my tastebuds. Chips were twice as thick as chips I normally enjoy. Flavor was pretty bland. I got plate combo #29 and husband got plate combo #24. Beans and rice were very bland, as were burritos and taco. To say we were disappointed is mild. Server did not check with us even once to see if we needed or wanted anything. As we went out the door he was busy sitting at the bar talking to his friends. The food is pretty good, the chips are always warm and the salsa is always delicious! Makes a great lunch stop if you work nearby. I work across the street and I'm always in and out in about 20-25 mins. The service is always great, and very quick, and the prices are below average. Usually $7-8 for me with a soda. We've gone to the other location in town before and like it so we decided to try this one. Worst mistake and probably worst service ever. I was a waitress all through college and I usually tip very well, this was so bad we left 47 cents. When we came into the restaurant they seated us at a table that was crammed in front of the bar. It so so close my daughter hit her head on the bar. After a minute a guy behind the bar asked for our drink order, he started talking to someone else while my sister was telling him and she just stopped talking and had to tell him again. He brought our drinks to us, one drink was wrong, no biggie. We thought he was the bartender. After about 10 minutes we asked the hostess if someone could take our order (they really weren't busy). She said something to him in Spanish and he looked at us and made a comment we couldn't hear. He came over with an attitude. While taking our order he kept looking off and couldn't seem to focus. We noticed he walked off from the table next to us when the lady was asking for something too. He was acting very strange When we got our food my aunt's order was wrong and mine was disgusting. He never came back to see how our food was. Our drinks were gone but instead of asking if we needed refills he stood right behind the bar (next to us) taking a big drink of something. He finally asked us if we needed more to drink and got that wrong. We asked again for a water and he slid it over the bar, making my sister get up to get it. Meanwhile he would make snide comments like "for the pretty lady" when giving us something while acting like an ass to us. It took another 10-15 min wait to get boxes and the ticket. This is my favorite restaurant in Springfield! Cielitio Lindo means "Beautiful Little Heaven" in Spanish and boy is it a piece of El Cielo! Great food at a cheap price. You'll find all your standard Mexican dishes along with a few restaurant specialties. Be sure to try "El Beto" special called "Quesadilla Cielito." It packs a stuffed chicken quesadilla with rice, beans, guacamole salad and chips and salsa for only $5.97. On Fridays and Saturdays there is usually a Mariachi band that comes around and plays for customers, especially couples. Check it out! read more

Then once the food did come out my fajita taco salad was ice cold like it sat in a refrigerator and my husband's food was lukewarm. I had the pollo y camarones, the food just didn't have any flavor honestly. The menu said seasoned with spices, but I couldn't really taste any. The shrimp was over cooked, I think they used precooked shrimp, so it was just too done by the time the chicken was cooked. Probably not a place I would go back to. read more

Terrible, inexcusable service at the South Campbell location tonight. Waiter let our chips and water run out 2x, waited over 40 minutes for our food, and when we talked to their "manager," she told us that "That's just how we do things here...we've been behind all day and there was a large party that came in before you" We come in often, but after tonight will never be back. The manager is the primary reason. It takes an exceptionally bad experience before I'll ask to see someone, and then to have her literally not even care, and make excuses. Just pathetic. read more

I had 40 in cash and she actually asked me if I needed change. I said.. ummm yes.. the staff in the back were yelling stuff so loud we could hear it from where we were seated, and several servers were just sitting in the booth on the other side of the divide from us watching t.v. for a large time frame.. Originally from Houston, Texas, I am used to Tex-Mex Mexican food and have not found what I would consider really good Mexican food in the Springfield area. So I would not give this restaurant four stars if it were in Texas. I would give it three. I read several reviews on another site for this restaurant and half loved it and half hated it. So I was not sure what to expect. I got my food to go. I was helped immediately and the waitress was very nice. She seated other customers as they walked in the door. The place was clean and pleasant ambiance. I ordered chips, salsa, and cheese dip. Fajita chicken quesadilla and mixed fajitas. I got everything ordered for just under $28. This included rice and beans for both meals as well as guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Here's my run down: Chips were fresh and crispy. Queso (cheese dip) was tasty but a little thick and that may be because it cooled a little on the drive home. Salsa was nice. Not bland but not super flavorable either. I read they do have hotter salsa available if you ask. The fajitas were not very seasoned which I find that to be common at the Mexican restaurants here. So I added some fajita seasoning I had at home. The quesadilla was pretty good. I would order it again. I added some fajita seasoning to it as well. Rice and beans were good. Not super special but not bad either. There was not anything I didn't like. The meat just needed more seasoning. From what I read in the other reviews-service is hit or miss but I had good service. One of the staff at the Mercy Hospitals just S of Cielito Lindo recommended it as being pretty authentic. We knew this was bogus as soon as the server plopped down the salsa. It looked like watered down tomato sauce devoid of any pico de gallo. We went ahead and ordered our lunches anticipating a change in the authenticity.
