A quiet and cozy spot for a morning meal. Cielito shows that simplicity can mean great. Coming in, you'll see a semi open kitchen, a few items on the shelves and a couple tables for patrons to sit in. Salsa Rojas and Verde are abundant and gives you a good mixture of flavors for your entrees. I ordered the Taco plate which came with 2 tacos filled nicely with meat, with rice and beans. Its a straight forward no frills kind of meal, and frankly I liked squeezing whatever amount of salsas onto it. Cielito is quiet but proven a great place for a nice bite. read more

Service was acceptable. Food... not so much. The refried beans tasted weird and the pintos in the Charro beans were not cooked thoroughly. The queso was not creamy and the shell was stale. The enchilada gravy was acceptable, but the tortilla it was wrapped in was stale. Their salsas and rice were mediocre. Guacamole was the only highlight. read more

I come here for a business lunch with three coworkers, and we had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, arrived quickly, and was very affordable. The staff spoke both English and Spanish, and were very friendly. I had the two pork chops, which was very filling. The taste was great, and I would return again The ambiance is really neat! There are murals everywhere which makes you feel like you're in little Mexico on the inside. read more

My experience was wonderful. I'd give the food 3.5-4 stars, but this place is wonderful. The staff and ambiance is great. I was waiting for my wife to get her nails done and needed a place to relax and wait. I only had the street tacos and they were well prepared. Salsa was on point. Chips fresh. I WILL be back!!! Try this place out! read more

We came in here on Saturday around lunch time. The environment was very relaxed. The servers were polite and the food was delightful. My husband ordered the deluxe dinner while I ordered the chimichanga with beef fajita. It was delicious! Afterwards we ordered a four count of the sopaipillas and they were incredible! I definitely recommend trying this place out. read more

The workers were super nice here and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the nachos and they were super filling. I also ordered the beef fajitas and it was good. The beef was a bit tough. They were able to sit us down super quick (we had a party of 7) and would constantly check up on us! read more

Food was amazing! VERY Reasonably priced and so so delicious. Being from Texas, I eat a lot Mexican or Tex-mex. But this one is sooo good. I wish it was closer to my house. Try The mole enchiladas!! read more

Walked in, and was immediately assaulted by a burning old oil smell. Got seated, and when I asked for a moment with drinks the waitress looked at me like I was crazy and made me feel like I had to hurry up and give an answer. Got my chips and salsa, both tasted old like they were sitting for at least a night. I couldn't even order food, because I didn't know if I would be spending so much money on expensive but nasty food. Had to leave without food, but had to pay $6.50 for one drink. Overall would not recommend. read more

The service at this restaurant used to be amazing, along with the food. It is a great memory with my father. Now when you walk in the door, the gentleman that greets you is so miserable. The servers aren't very friendly. Look at this sad plate of beef fajitas. The presentation is terrible. The outside patio is nice. read more

Not my first visit to this restaurant but it has been 10 years since last visit. Decided to go Sat at 5:30pm, was a little surprised that parking lot was empty with only 5 other cars. But it is July 4th weekend so that could explain the fact they were slow. I noticed some changes to the interior since my last visit and it still looks nice. They do have a lot of tables and the menu has a lot of choices. Waitstaff got our drink order right away and the waiter arrived shortly after to answer some questions we had and to take our order. We ate to many chips and salsa (like always) so we decided to get the quesadilla plate. My GF got the small and I went with the regular large. Included beans, and salad and sour green and guacamole. I add charro beans also. Pricing is mid range and food was very good. Service is very friendly and pretty fast. Will be back again for sure. read more

I have a pretty basic matrix for deciding if I like Mexican food: Salsa. Beans Margaritas Quality of the meat Like movies and wine, we all have a different opinion of what makes Mexican food good. I grew up eating Tex Mex, so it has a special place in my heart, but I'm agreeable to all the other variations. Cielioto brings a little heaven to Mexican food! The building is the first thing you notice. If you're like me, you'll anticipate that if they put as much effort into their meals as they do the restaurant, the meal will be amazing. We began nibbling on the salsas, starting with the red. It was not chunky, not watery, and was not super spicy, leaning toward mild. It had some cilantro, but not much. The green salsa was a perfect blend of flavor and consistency. Both had great flavor, but I think the green was my favorite. We ordered the queso dip as an appetizer, and were pleasantly surprised to discover it came with a side of sliced jalapeños, just like the nachos I ate as a kid! The queso was not littered with much green or red bits, and the chucks in it were super easy to navigate around. My teenager commented about how much he enjoyed not having to fish "scary things" out of his dip! For our entrees, we ordered a cheese enchilada plate with red sauce and mixed fajitas for two. The enchiladas were simple, Tex-Mex style, with ample cheese, refried beans and Spanish rice, and plenty of red sauce. Exactly what we wanted! The were tasty enough my son took his leftovers home for a midnight snack. The fajitas were good, as well. But, before I start on the fajitas, I have a side note of praise for our waiter. I ordered the fajitas "without cilantro", since cilantro is of the devil. Our waiter went and mixed us up a special batch of pico de Gallo without cilantro, something I deeply appreciated! Fajitas--they were ordinary chicken and beef fajitas. Not overly robust, not underwhelming, but standard, reliable fajitas. The meat was good and had minimal fat, the onions sizzled on the skillet, the guacamole was great, and the tortillas were homemade. What more can you ask for? This restaurant experience was fantastic. And I'm not the only one who thinks so. The place was full of locals. Tons of locals, all of whom the staff called my name and fist bumped as if lifelong friends. The locals know what's up, and this place is up on my list of places to return! read more

From OOT and hotel recommended. I was hesitant because of only 3 stars but was not disappointed at all Food was good Restaurant was clean Staff friendly Service good I would definitely eat there again read more

Place aight. I've been here for lunch a bunch of times and my go to is the steak fajita nachos. It's not the best I've ever had but it's good - and I promise you won't leave still hungry. They give you good portions for your dollar. The full order is massive I always need a to-go box. The half order is just right but it depends on how hungry you are. I've also had the enchiladas and street tacos and those are good too. The staff is very attentive and always coming by the fill your water(s)/drink(s). The salsa and chips are good which I always use with my main dish. Ask for a side of jalapenos and some tabasco sauce and go to town on the nachos you wont be disappointed. Get ready for a nacho nap! read more

This place is...not what I remember it being. We walked in last night at 7ish and there were 2 other cars in the parking lot so we thought, hey, we are going to get GREAT service. As we walk in, I had to be the one to say hello instead of being welcomed in to dine at their establishment. A very nice server, Antonio, seated us. Another server came to take our order. We ordered 2 margaritas, frozen, with sugar. When the server brought our margaritas, he brought us the JUMBO size. I asked him, "Sir, are these the grande?" He said yes. I said we didn't order these. He rolled his eyes, got extremely temperamental, and then gave us away to Antonio who seated us. I'm beginning to see a LOT of smaller Mexican restaurants do this. They will bring out the large, you'll drink it not knowing, then bring the bill and they'll say, "well, you drank it so now you have to pay for it" That or they just want to build the check for a higher tip. When someone try's to hustle me, and I call them out on it, and they have a serious attitude problem, I just can't go back to support it again. Antonio did a great job finishing taking care of us, but the point is, don't try to be a crook. The food is pretty good, but service to me means more than the flavor of beef fajitas. The tortillas are out of this world amazing. The margaritas are semi strong. I've definitely had stronger. It was very clean and quiet read more

Came in for Mother's Day. They blocked us and exit with large group instead of setting them up in another spot. Didn't get plates and was told we would have to move. Waitress was bumping into us for there was no room. Got tortillas but fajitas didn't come till later. Food was ok but service was terrible read more

I ordered the veggie enchiladas and expected fresh veggies but it appeared to be the "vegetable medley" you might find in the freezer section. I wouldn't recommend. The chips and salsa were good, but I wouldn't come back here. read more

I wasn't expecting much from a small town Mexican restaurant, but I was blown away. My wife had the beef fajitas with shrimp and they were fresh and delicious. Great salsa with the chips with a nice zing to it but not too spicy to eat. I had the chimichanga dinner plate. I really wasn't terribly hungry, but it was so good I finished every bite. The atmosphere was perfect. Mexican music playing loud enough to hear but not so loud as to interfere with normal, soft-spoken conversation at the table. Restaurant was clean and the lighting was subdued but still bright enough to be welcoming. If we are ever back in this area, I would definitely eat here again and plan to recommend it to friends who live near here. Also, the service was great. Very attentive. Never had to wait for refills and they cleared plates as soon as we were done. read more

MId-afternoon. Very slow service. Had to find a waiter several times. Sat outside due to the bar section allowing smoking. Pinacolada cocktails had no alcohol or coconut. Basically frozen pineapple juice. Tasted really poor. Mentioned it at the checkout and was completely ignored. read more

The beef fajitas were amazing completely finished them off! The building has comfortable lighting and good music! The service was fast and the food came out quickly. 5 star for Waller, TX. Seriously people, give it a shot - great good and great service at a great price. Any reviews less than 5 stars are snobby people who think they're in Austin or Houston. This place is amazing for a small town local establishment. read more

Their food is really good. It doesn't matter what you order it all great food and a great cost.

Food was good but it was near closing when we realized how late it was and how few were in attendance at the restaurant. We felt rushed to finish our meal. We were with our teenage grandchildren and the opportunity to just listen & talk was precious. We will go back but time our visit so they are not rushing to get us out if their restaurant so they can close read more

Warning :::: Do not order fajita nachos unless you like gristle and fat!!! Why try to serve people low quality food? I would rather pay double for quality!! Worst margarita I ever taste in my life. I asked for house margarita, when I tasted it was awful, I told the waitress , he told me it can't change it, do you want a top shell margarita?, I said yes with tequila patron, he took the margarita and put a lot of tequila on the same one, I said I don't like it, he didn't want to change it, he charged it. Worst customer oriented people. read more

We ordered the chunky guacamole for an appetizer. This is more Pico de Gallo with a little bit of chunks of avocado. Husband had the fried catfish fillets. Way too much cornmeal. I had the nachos Al carbon. Not too bad. The margaritas were pathetic. Just watered down margarita mix. Neither of us received water with our meal and the service was very limited. Do I recommend this place? Definitely not. read more
