Scallops and pork belly in the back, lamb chops on front
    Kelvin L.

Was at Ciel! for an anniversary dinner to enjoy the 360 view of the city (90 min for one rotation). The Concorde has one of the best views of the old Quebec and port areas of the city. At night, you can see the sister city, Levis' lights across the river as well as any ships moving along the water. We got the following: - soup of the day x2; with bread and butter - scallop and confit pork belly medley; with maple-garlic herb and daikon vinaigrette, cauliflower, and other veggies - cheesecake; with maple caramel and caramelized pecans - roasted rack of lamb; with artichoke and herb sauce The food was very delicious and the meats all the right amount of tenderness. The scallops were fresh and well seared, all the vegetables still had a great crunch. The service was great, and we enjoyed the ride around the restaurant. Although the night started with a foggy view, by the end of the night we were able to see the city. Staff was not pushy to have us out of the table and we just enjoyed our time out. Although the rotation is slow, you really can feel it moving, it isn't for people who are sensitive to a moving platform. It's like eating on a train or a plane, if you are okay with that, this was a fun experience. Otherwise, visit for the bar experience so you can leave once you are done. Definitely a recommendation, especially if you are staying at the Concorde already! Have a look at their menu before going and/or best to see it at the restaurant as their menu changes often.

We had an amazing dinner for our last night in Quebec. The service was great, our waitress checked in regularly, topped of waters and drinks, and made sure we were having a nice time. The kids loved that the restaurant rotated during the meal, it was fun seeing different views during the meal. The food was delicious and drinks were perfect.

We wanted to check out the amazing view at this revolving restaurant, but definitely get a reservation online beforehand if you want to dine in here. We came after 130p and were told lunch hour is over. However, we can order drinks and desserts which turned out to be just perfect. Luckily we got a great clear day and had a wonderful view of the city. We got to enjoy some cocktails while sharing desserts with our friends. When you get a perfect sunny day, don't forget to wear some face sunscreen since you are on the 28th floor. Absolutely would recommend anyone going to Québec City to visit Ciel even if just for drinks. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful even though it was his last day working at the restaurant.

What an incredible evening! We're here from California. The ambience was wonderful. Our server Louis was better than you could even imagine. We had an allergy in the group and he and the chef made everything to perfection. We so appreciate everything he did for us and how kind everybody was. We made a reservation and we were seated at the correct time. We had a cheese tray, the steak tartare,, the pork chop, And the chicken. The pork chop was probably the moistest chop we've ever had. The steak tartare was so yummy. I couldn't believe it. The chicken was overdone, but not their fault. We had to have it without the sauce. I would recommend this to everyone. Seeing the city at night was lovely.

If you're in Quebec City, you must try this restaurant. It's on the 24th floor of the Hotel Concorde. You are able to see across the city - and you're literally moving in a circle while you eat so you can see a full 360 view. The ambience is excellent, the food tracks with the cost. The service was impeccable. Appreciated the wait staff's patience with my intermediate French. My dish was the pork with veggies. My goodness, tender, excellent sauce with the chimichurri! The little guy got the sausage and potatoes with variety of green beans and asparagus. He ate most of it. And hubs got the chicken! No leftovers present. Please make a reservation here and put the cherry on top of your visit to Quebec.

Our final evening in Quebec City we wanted to treat ourselves to a fine dining restaurant. While there is no shortage of fine dining restaurants here, I chose this one because of all the others I looked at, it had meal options from the main menu that I thought my little ones would eat. Unbeknownst to me they have a kids menu and it rocks! For $15 they get a beverage, soup of the day, a main (fish, pasta dish or sausage and potatoes dish), and surprise dessert. We opted for the pasta with bolognese sauce and mackerel for our kids. The soup was cream of mushroom and surprise dessert was a log of ice cream coated in some sort of perhaps white chocolate and topped with chocolate sauce, fresh berries, oreo cookies and oreo cookie crumbles. It was beautifully presented. We did not have a reservation and rolled the dice walking in around 7 because they do take some walk-ins, although you should make a reservation if you can on their website. They squeezed us in for 8:30 and took my number down in case we could come back sooner while we took a stroll in the neighborhood. Great neighborhood, by the way! The host was so nice and said she would do her best to get us a nice table by the window, even though I would have been happy wherever and did not specifically request one. We were very lucky to get a window seat. Since the restaurant is at the top floor of a hotel, the view is spectacular. I also discovered that the room rotates, very slowly, so you get a 360 degree view of the city. Service was top notch. Our waitress was very attentive. We even got to see fireworks outside. The entire meal was delicious, as were the cocktails and dessert. Side note: the cocktails are cheap for us NYC people, and in some instances, cheaper than other non fine dining restaurants we had visited while in town. I highly recommend the wild mushrooms appetizer, halibut main course and the steak. Man, that was a huge steak. Wait time in between courses was rather long, however. Maybe the kitchen needed more time to get the food out or it is normal to sit for 2.5 hours for dinner at this place. We did not mind. So maybe if you are in a rush, let the wait staff know. There is 90 minute free parking up until 10pm available along the park adjacent to the hotel and a huge metered parking lot a few blocks away too. When we return to Quebec City, I will definitely come back here. What an experience.

Gorgeous views! This restaurant rotates slowly as you eat and you'll rotate 360 degrees by the time you finish eating. Amazing views of the city and Saint Lawrence River. The best sangria I've ever had! So delicious and went down way too smooth. I loved the charcuterie platter too, and our cheese plate. Everything here is very high quality. Excellent and attentive service too. I recommend making a reservation.

SO and I stopped here on our 2nd night in QC after reading some favorable yelp reviews.  It's on the top floor of a hotel and rotates slowly providing a great vantage point of QC. As the SO was drinking a Spritz Tropical and me a lager, the fried burgot came out.  We never had them before and thought they were tasty and crispy, but it took a bit of effort to chew them up.  It was still good to experience them for the 1st time! The next appetizer, wild mushrooms with venison, soon followed.  The venison was cooked medium rare and was accompanied by very tasty wild mushrooms all atop a puree (we think it was parsnip) along with shreds of beet.  A very enjoyable dish! We also had a salad comprised of tomato, a dollop of lemon confit labneh, diced cucumber and spiced pecans sprinkled on top all resting in a pool of delicious pikliz emulsion.  Very light and refreshing! SO had the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and well balanced with pickled carrots, oyster mushrooms, kale and turnips along with a tasty turmeric sunflower puree.  A great combination of ingredients! I had the piglet loin accompanied by swiss chard, black beans and zucchini atop a delicious creamy corn and salse verde around the edge...a surprising combo that worked well together! We ended the dinner with a tasty blueberry cheesecake and a glass of ice wine.  A nice 2 hours well spent (which is the maximum time allowed). Overall, the service, food and ambience were excellent, but the menu is a bit limited and the flavor profiles tame.  Definitley good for a one-time dinner just for the views or an extra special night out!

I was a little nervous that this restaurant would be more touristy and less quality but I was pleasantly surprised! I also was a little nervous about getting dizzy from the revolving aspect but that didn't bother me at all. It was very cool to see the city from above in 360. We were there for an hour and a half and did a full circle around. Our server was great and the food was very good! One of the folks I was with said their hot chocolate was one of the best they've had! I appreciated their gluten free bread option and my guests really enjoyed their mushroom omelette and French toast! Their appetizer and dessert options for brunch are limited.

Best view, service and decent food. 1. Reservation: a must. You cannot be seated without one and most people reserve 1 month in advance for window seats. 2. The view: amazing. Absolutely THE BEST VIEW of Quebec City. It's rotating, so from your seat you can get 360 view of the entire city. Best to come 2 hour before the sunset. When it gets dark, you can enjoy the view with your eyes if lucky enough to be seated by the window, no picture will look good when the lights are on aka dark outside. 3. Service: great. 5 stars 4. Food: good but not the best. 3 stars Unfortunately, like all similar establishments, their food is good, but not the best. I did like their bread comes hot. venison tartare: meh cheese platter: sad fish of the day: just okay dessert: not good, didn't even eat it 5. Drinks: 4 stars Mixed drinks were good, just not very good. It truly could've been better All in all, especially if you are a tourist, despite not the best food, this place is still the best and a must try.

Brunch with a view--Salmon Eggs Benedict

Coming here was one of the highlights of my trip in Québec City. It really surpassed my expectations! I had made reservations in advance but had run a little late to my reserved time by 15min due to weekend bus schedules. The staff, however, was accommodating and seated me right away upon my arrival. This was my first time at a rotating restaurant, and I was quite fascinated and loved the concept. Lots of great views of the surrounding area and city during the course of one's meal. To my surprise, the food was also absolutely tasty. The dish I got for a Saturday brunch was the salmon eggs benedict dish and a fruit dish (included) and a couple of lattes. I wanted to come in with low expectations because I feel like sometimes the food isn't as high quality for restaurants that seem too good to be true, but it was the exact opposite here. Food was 10/10 delicious and filling. The staff as well was very kind and attentive, but not overbearing. Absolutely would recommend any going to Québec City to come here (hopefully on a clear day)! I would love to visit again at some point and would absolutely take friends here to impress too!

I'm a simple guy. If I see a revolving restaurant, I go. No questions asked. Most of the time, the views themself make the trip worth it, but every now and then the food takes center stage. Ciel! is the rare hybrid. The best of both worlds. I was able to sneak a last minute reservation at 6:30 despite it being a holiday. Seems like it was meant to be. Little did I know I was about to embark on an unforgettable journey. My family and I began our voyage with the Beef Tataki, Pork Flank, and Leek and Mushroom Cream Soup. The Beef Tataki was extremely flavorful, with a mix of sour(?) + umami sauces along with perfectly seasoned beef pieces. My only complaint would be that I wanted more. Leek + Mushroom Cream Soup was fairly standard but definitely highlighted the both the leek and mushrooms without masking their individual flavors. Pork Flank is an absolute steal and must get. Not only do you get a perfectly juicy, seared pork belly but also escargot that mesh well with the sauce provided. For the entrees, we got the Alaskan Halibut and Chicken Supreme. Chicken Supreme: THE standard I expect now for any chicken. They have somehow managed to get a crust that is slightly charred without sacrificing any moisture, leading to juicy bites of chicken goodness. Those juices coupled with the bbq sauce. You just have to try it to get what I mean. Alaskan Halibut: nothing extremely special but definitely one of the best halibuts I've ever had. For dessert, we got a latte, crème brûlée, as well as a choco-caramel finger. The crème brûlée was to die for (although in a little biased because it is my favorite dessert haha). Great sugar crust that unveils a creamy, rich crème that coats your mouth in sugary goodness. The choco-caramel finger was a hybrid brownie cake. The mouse paired with a densely packed brownie crust is the perfect way to end a meal! Service was impeccable and our waiter was extremely accommodating. The views here are unparalleled and the place is a good escape from the hustle and bustle from below. Ciel! Is a must go if you come to Quebec City and will be a spot I will cherish from a trip here!

With the dynamic trio of Philippe Racine, Philippe Fournier, and Andréa Beauseigle at the helm, this newly minted bistro is not just a meal; it's an experience that speaks to the heart of local gastronomy. As we stepped into the inviting atmosphere of Bistro St. Malo, we were immediately struck by the relaxed ambience that feels both chic and comforting. The decor is a perfect marriage of rustic elegance and modern flair, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The menu, crafted with both passion and precision, beckoned us to explore a variety of tempting dishes. We kicked off our culinary journey with the Mussels Marinière, bathed in a heavenly concoction of wine and garlic. Each bite was a succulent reminder of the sea, perfectly paired with crusty bread that could easily become a new best friend. Next on the list was the Soupe à l'Oignon, a classic French onion soup that was nothing short of a warm hug in a bowl. The rich broth, adorned with a gooey layer of melted cheese, transported us straight to a cozy Parisian bistro. Now, if you think escargots are just a fancy way to say "snails," think again. The Escargots Gratinés at Bistro St. Malo are a revelation, baked to perfection with a garlicky herb butter that made us rethink our long-held beliefs about these little treasures. For the main event, we indulged in the Joue de Bœuf sauce Robert, a sous-vide masterpiece that had been lovingly cooked for 30 hours. The beef cheek was so tender it practically melted on the fork, paired with a creamy potato purée and vegetables roasted in duck fat--a dish that could make even the most steadfast vegetarian reconsider their choices. We couldn't resist diving into the Ragoût de la Mer, a seafood stew that was a celebration of the ocean's bounty. With scallops, shrimp, lobster, cod, tuna, and salmon mingling in a rich bisque, this dish was a symphony of flavors that sang the praises of the fresh local products so central to the bistro's philosophy. Bistro St. Malo is more than just a meal; it's a culinary journey that pays homage to both French tradition and the vibrant tastes of the Mediterranean. If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Quebec City, do yourself a favor and make your way to 75 St-Paul Street. You might just discover your new favorite dining spot.

Both of us opted for the table d'hôte menu, which included an appetizer, main course, dessert, and tea or coffee. We happily paid the small supplement to begin with the Duck Foie Gras served with strawberry-rhubarb jam and brioche--a decision we did not regret for a second. The foie gras was rich and silky, while the sweet-tart jam provided a beautiful contrast. For our entrées, I chose the Pulled Rabbit Poutine with devil's sauce. Comfort food elevated to another level, it was hearty, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. My dining partner selected the Cassoulet with duck sausage and duck leg confit. While the duck was excellent, it was the beans that stole the show--perfectly cooked, deeply flavored, and exactly what a great cassoulet should be. We finished with desserts: a traditional Far Breton for me and a beautifully executed Crème Brûlée for my dining partner. Both were wonderful endings to an already excellent meal. The service was warm and attentive, the ambiance charming and inviting, and the food delicious from beginning to end. Located in the heart of Old Québec, Lapin Sauté is exactly the kind of restaurant travelers hope to discover--authentic, welcoming, and serving food that leaves a lasting impression. We were underdressed, but the host basically was like "the dress code is only for the waitstaff, you are fine." So the place is definitely welcoming and had a nice vibe. Most of the tables spoke French but there was one other larger group also composed of English speakers. Waitstaff was fully bilingual though the vibe of the place is more Francophone than Quebec tourist. The food is cooked technically very well, though the portions are small, particularly our scallop appetizer which was maybe 2 scallops. The food was very good, but for the price it wasn't amazing, amazing. My wife said her trout for example was a bith mushy. I had the beef and it was very good. I'd happily it that and the scallop dish (maybe I'd order two, lol) again. Cocktails were also very good. Then there was the pre-dinner mackrel rolled in seaweed. Totally fine but an odd choice to give to all the diners. Also, the bread was only so-so (I got a better loaf tonight at Farm Boy) and the pepper butter and fois-gras butter were sort of tasteless. Again this is a solid restaurant and despite being 'fancy' had a very unpretentious vibe about it, which I appreciated. But the price feels a bit high, and the service was quite slow. So for me, it is a 4, but except for a restaurant I ate with friends in Montreal in 2018 (the name of which I am forgetting) and a really excellent spot on Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the it is probably the best restaurant I've eaten at in Quebec.

They were right next to the large pick-up window looking into the kitchen, and our host then said "These are the people who will be preparing your dinner", and introduced us to each person in the kitchen... by name. This is a very small place, cozy and atmospheric. If there are just two of you, sitting at the bar is the way to go. It's where you really feel the vibe and see what makes this place so special. The food is off the hook, and changes so frequently that it's pointless for me to highlight specific dishes. We had an amazing charred broccolli, a seasonal morel dish, razor clams, and unique egg mayo concoction. Doesn't matter. the food will be exceptional whatever they are serving. Thier Michelin Bib Gourmand (exceptional food at reasonable prices) designation is well deserved. But if the soul of Buvette Scott is the food, the heart is Marine, who appeared to be the only server on duty while we were there. She is a transplanted Brit (I believe), with a quick smile and a sassy outlook. Even as busy as she was, she had the time to engage us and make us feel like we were old friends. Stories were told, laughing was had. We were the last two left from the first dinner seating that day, and Marine and part of the kitchen team sat at the bar with us as we finished and shared insights about Quebec City and how they ended up there. Rarely have I felt so comfortable and at home in a place I have never been before. Really good restaurants serve up really good food... But truly great restaurants provide an experience that impacts you on many levels, and holds a place in your memory. Buvette Scott is a truly great restaurant.
