Impressive. Standout food. Comfortable, chic ambiance. Proper service on the formal side. After seating and confirming Anglais, our menus were courteously switched out for English. The menu was the same as the website but promises to be changed seasonally.
Drinks - interesting, good, unique touches (the old-fashioned option had a touch of absinthe), wines by the glass (check with the server on their recommendations)
All of the plates, as is the trend, are ordered to share and come out in 3 waves, appetizers, cold plates, then warm plates, of course followed by dessert if ordered. It really makes sense for a party of 4 to just order everything or close to everything. The share-plates are smaller than entree-size.
Food - I've listed favorites below, but as I sift back through, everything was very, very good, impeccable, perfectly done, beautifully presented. If I went back, and I would, I'd order one of everything.
Appetizers - portioned as listed on the menu often in bites of 2, the server really wanted to bring us 2 portions of anything that had 2 (for our party of 4 to each have 1), since we didn't want to overeat and one of us is veg, we insisted more than once to just bring us single orders (2 pieces) and we would figure out how to share it. This worked well for us.
Can't decide which was my favorite:
Zucchini - subtle, bursting with flavor, almost like a very thin, sophisticated lasagna
Lamb - a favorite, rich and delicate
Oh, and the Scallops were very memorable with the green cilantro sauce
Cold Share Plates
Asparagus with the subtle feta foam was my surprise favorite
Salmon also very good
Warm Share Plates
Ravioles - perfect almost upstaged by the accompanying asparagus and morels
