- We requested several quotes from companies on Yelp that could repair/replace a 3500 sq. ft flat roof. Since we did not know what needed to be done, we were going to listen to the different recommendations of the roofers. - We initially contacted CID Builders & Developers, the owner, Oren A., asked for our phone number. He then stated Alex would be calling us and "we would love to come out, meet you and price out the project for you." - That never happened. - When we asked if someone had to be at the property for the estimate, he said "Absolutely- please. Unless you're looking for an under $2,000 repair work. Is that the case?" - I responded to him, our only concern is the condition of the roof. We are going to let that dictate as to what needs to be done which will in turn dictate the price. I also let him know we are having several roofing companies give us estimates as to what needs to be done and the price. The estimates would then inform us of what needs to be done. - Oren A. then advised me they have a $2,000 minimum and did we still want an estimate. - I explained to him again, yes we wanted an estimate and we were going to let the roof dictate as to what needs to be done. We are not roofers so there was no way for us to determine if the job was going to be $200, $2000 or $20,000. - It was at that time CID Builders said "Ok, I think it would be best that you consult with others that have no minimum job first. After you do so, if you feel as if the project can NOT be done under $2k..." - Clearly this company thinks our job is a waste of time and does not want to treat us with any importance unless the job is greater than $2000. - We will never do business with a company that only wants to give us an estimate after other roofers have determined if is a job that will cost $2000 or more. - We have all the communication from this company and would be willing to share it with anyone. Then you can decide for yourself if this is someone you want to do business with. - CID Builders and Developers claims we were upset with the $2000k minimum. They like to divert from the true issue which was they wanted other companies to come out and ensure the estimate was over $2000. - Only then would CID Builders and Developers be interested in our job. - As we explained several times, we are not roofers and we will let the condition of the roof determine what needs to be done...a simple fact CID Builders and Developers wants to ignore and divert from. - We want a company that takes responsibility for their actions...not someone that makes excuses and diverts. - If you read their other complaints, you will see a pattern that is concerning. - At the bottom is what is on their website. It should be noted that they will not give free estimates unless the cost of the job is $2000 or more. This is from the owner directly Oren A., "we come out for a FREE estimate ONLY if a homeowner is CERTAIN they're spending over $2k." - We feel his comment speaks for itself and we are not interested in people or a business that are money motivated rather than customer service motivated. I wanted to recognize CID Builders and Developers, INC representative Ben Dottan for a job well done at my home in Newbury Park, CA. I highly recommend Ben for home construction and backyard/pool projects. This team did a great job and I would rate this project 6 stars ! and highly recommend CID for home and backyard / pool projects. Ben contact info 818-940-5012. My wife and I are very pleased with CID and Bens performance in planning, developing and executing our backyard pool and kitchen. The design and construction of the new backyard was fantastic. We enjoy the kitchen, pool, and spa in the new backyard and the construction was high quality. Ben guided us every step of the way presenting us with options that met our design and budget requirements throughout the project. This included developing a plan and submitting all necessary permits and paperwork to the city and our association. The process included construction of a pool, spa installation of a kitchen, and all the necessary plumbing, hardscape (cement), tile, electrical, relocation of air conditioning, and new sprinkler system. Overall fantastic job and Highly recommend Ben Dottan for your next backyard pool or home project. John Desgrey read more

My projects started as a garage rebuild. In my mind it was simple; three walls a roof and door. To me it would be as simple as building an over grown dog house. I am so glad Ron is an expert on not only controlling the project but also the rules and regulations. He educated me on all of the regulations and permits that are needed. He explained the pros and cons of what I had in mind and what would actually work. He even fought the battle I had with the city on getting variance approval. In the end the garage came out perfect. There was no issue that was too big or too small for Ron to attend to. The project was completed on time and within budget. What really impressed me was, as the project was in progress I changed my mind on a couple of things. Ron was able to make the changes without a problem. I was so impressed that I had Ron landscape the entire back yard. The main part of the landscaping project was covering 80% of the backyard with paving stones. I can sum it up in three words "perfectly straight lines". After the first rain it was as expected, the run off control was perfect. I am looking forward to my next project; Ron will most definitely be the contractor. read more

Ron and his company CID Builders replaced the roof on our single family rental house back in 2014. It required a total tear off of the existing layers of asphalt shingles and the original wood shakes. The house was occupied at the time with new tenants, and Ron's crew was very careful to clean all of the debris from the site at the end of every day. Ron completed the new roof on time and on budget as promised. Just a week ago, more than 4 years after the roof was installed, our tenants called to tell me of some stains they noticed on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms after some very heavy rain. I called Ron and he promptly sent one of his crew to the inspect the roof. Turns out that the sealant around one of the vent stacks needed to be refreshed, and that took care of the problem. With CID Builder's quality roof work and great customer service, I won't hesitate to call Ron again. read more

I'm so happy that i selected Cid Builders & Developers Inc to do our kitchen, remodel. Cid Builders started our project right away. Ben the project manager provided excellent service from day one. I first used Ron and CID in 2015 to re-roof my house. Job was done fast, well, and reasonably priced. Recently my in-ground Spa developed a leak and I asked Ron and CID to renovate it. Again, job done quickly and well at a reasonable price. Ron would check in frequently to assess the progress and any problems or concerns I had with each of the jobs. Ron was easily reached by phone whenever I was concerned about something. He would either talk me through the issue or come out to see me in person to get the problem or concern addressed. I really appreciated that kind of quality control. My next project will have Ron and CID as my first choice contractor. read more

Even thinking of remodeling our kitchen was enough to drive me up the walls. We finally decided to pull the trigger and get estimates. After multiple estimates we where over the moon when we found CID! Paz, the project manager, took his time and reviewed all the details with us. He made sure to never to make us feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. From when the job started to when it finished everything that Paz said would be done was done. There where some hiccups, some delays, but we where prepared for it all. Overall, I will recommend Paz and CID Builders to all my friends, family, and clients!! read more

CID builders did a great job building a pool and jacuzzi and installing artificial grass on our property for a reasonable price. They installed jets in the jacuzzi as well as Badu swim jets in the pool. We worked with Ben from CID, who was very hands on and frequently came to the house when the workmen were there. He kept us informed about all the progress on the job, facilitated all the permitting and inspections, and only charged us each step of the way after we were satisfied with the work. I highly recommend CID and will be using them in the future for other projects around the house. read more

Never again...at any cost The summary of a horrible experience: Incorrect quoting, be aware of that since it will cost you more than estimated if they make a mistake as they did with me. Serious delays from estimated completion time Dishonest behavior, lack of accountability The project coordinator/sales just comes to collect the check not to coordinate and manage the progress of the project Did not treat me with respect, even elevated voice when you ask for clarifications. It was a terrible and stressful experience contracting with CID... clearly a company to avoid read more

Ron and CID Builders are awesome. They remodeled my kitchen, dining and living room after a flood. The pricing was competitive and he and his team will do the little things they see need to be done (sometimes without additional cost). The craftsmanship was great and they stayed pretty much on schedule. Ron was able to work with my insurance adjuster to get additional repairs covered, saving me some out of pocket expenses. Overall, I would recommend CID Builders and plan to utilize them on some future upgrades. read more

CID helped me to have my leaking old roof replaced. They were very prompt and professional. The whole roof was done in 2 days and inspection was ordered and got the permit 2 days after. I would recommand anyone to work with them. One more big plus, their price was very competitive as long as you know what you want and be reasonable. read more
