This pizza was really delicious. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the highlight was the butternut squash for me! There was mozzarella, fontina, caramelized onions, and balsamic glaze too. Everything paired together perfectly. The service was brief as we did takeout but the staff inside was super friendly. The ambience was really nice with dimmed lighting and an open kitchen. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Will definitely go back and dine in soon. We took a trip over on the coldest record breaking day too! -10 degrees with wind chill. The food was very good also ... however , we received our bill , and my husband and my entrees were both charged $3 more each , I even double checked the price when we got into our car , and sure enough they were both overcharged by $ 3 each , we left a tip according to our bill . The issue isn't the $ 6 , it's the fact that we were overcharged, one entree would have been a mistake , but both seems to be a stretch . read more

My friends and I have been to Cibo Matto quite a few times. The last couple of times we noticed a difference. Prices went way up ( food and drinks) and portions down. They are now charging for bread and oil too. Food is still good but tbh we decided we probably wouldn't go back at this point. Service was good. It was very busy. I loved the scallops and shrimp tortellini. It was delicious! It was the first time in a while that I loved my dish. The shrimp were a decent size. The scallops were also nicely seared. I split this dish with my bf and they plated it nicely on 2 plates. Next time I probably won't share. I even used my leftover pizza crust to scoop up the sauce. It was a creamy sauce that was green. Not really sure what the sauce was but it was delicious. Food came out super fast and the drinks were delicious. It's a semi casual place and the staff are attentive. We also ordered the sausage pizza and it was good but nothing special. I like my pizza a little crispy and the crust charred. I had to use a fork to eat this pizza. Very good dinner. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, solid variety of food choices. Had the Cod dinner. Very moist, a large portion with plenty of taste. It came out in a very fair pace, just after finishing a nice garden salad. Add to the order an old fashion, made to perfection by the way, and dinner was complete. Only issue, they were out of the salmon dinner. That's usually not a big deal 'cuz places do run out of stuff but the staff really should let you know things like this before you place your order so's you're not scrambling to find something else. First the good, nice atmosphere, the restaurant was extremely busy but had a reservation so seated within 2 min. They had the freshly baked focaccia bread which for $3 was well worth it , it was delicious and a great starter as we waited for our food. 3 of us opted for the Chicken Picatta which was a generous portion of chicken and they gave a choice of pasta with your meal. Loved the addition of artichokes , right amount of capers and lemon but a little on the salty side. The delicious ending to our meal was the bread pudding a generous portion served with a scoop of Carmel gelato and whipped cream , enough for 3 of us to share. Prices are as expected these days. Service ended on a high note when a gentleman replaced our server and gave excellent service, which I had asked for his name. Now the bad: the delicious basket of bread was served with a 3 compartment small dish which had some crushed red pepper, salt and pepper ( which were not to be found on the table) and probably 1/2 teaspoon of parmigiana which they expected to be share with 4 people ( also no spoon available so had to use the tip of a knife ) after a few minutes a young girl came by with some olive oil to dip the bread even though we each had a small bread plate in front of us she did one circle on one dish in front of one of us, I called her back over and asked if she would put a small amount on the other 3 dishes she said "can't you all share " hmmmm would never say that to customers and the 1/2 teaspoon originally served was not enough for all the bread they served plus these days no one wants to dip in someone else's dish. We then asked our waitress for more parmagian she gave us a look like we were bothering her and returned with a tiny ,prob 2 ounce dish that again had an ounce of cheese in it for the 4 of us. Things turned for the better when the gentleman waiter took over we again asked for cheese for our pasta and with a smile said of course you need cheese and returned with a larger bowl of parm. It was such a turn off to see how cheap the first servers were with the oil and the cheese which gives the 3 star review. Will go back and hopefully have better waiter. read more

I actually have a bite on the top of my hand that itches now. My martini was great. There is really no ambiance, so if this is important to you, do not come here. This place has really great food. Dimly lit and good vibes overlooking their pizza oven and kitchen. My favorite dish is the truffle gnocchi, but everything I've had here or my family or friends have ordered have been delicious. Generous portions. Good service, sometimes a little slow paced. Visited for lunch with friends during the summer of COVID-19 restrictions. We dined outdoors under the enclosed tent, which was very nice. The service was excellent, as were the cocktails. The menu, which boasts "Italian comfort food," offered a nice enough variety that we were a bit flummoxed over what to order. So many lovely choices! I ordered the Swordfish Kabobs, an app special, and they were so good, I wished it had been offered as an entree. The mild, chargrilled chunks of fish were tender and savory. For my meal, I had the Golden Beet Salad - another winner! Just fab! My friends had Fish Tacos, Shaved Brussels Sprout salad and the Warm Baby Spinach salad. The pasta sauce was sub-par, like they just poured chef boyardee or spaghetti o's into it. I assumed the meatballs would make up for it but the texture was mushy (and not in a normal meatball way) and reminiscent of meat-filler. Menu in general was a bit overpriced. Extremely over priced for what it is. Very busy, claustrophobic and noisy. No place to park, had to park next door at a convenience store and then walk over to restaurant. Their dish prices are $3-$5 more than what they should/could be. My skimpy pour of bourbon was $17. Shame on you. But, they obviously can get it because the place was packed on a Wednesday evening. When a customer does not perceive value in their dining experience, they won't go back. Noisy, over crowded, no sense of feeling special with attentive service, no parking. Work on your prices. Offer some apps and entrees with lower prices. Your apps shouldn't be priced at what an entree is normally priced at. And your entrees shouldn't be priced at fine dining scale, because you are not a fine dining restaurant. Pasta doesn't cost much money...you can do it. One Positive note: One of the best bolognese sauces I've ever had...the pasta was perfectly cooked, decent portion. Over-priced though. read more

Another time I wish we could give half stars as this place is 4 1/2 for sure. They were very accommodating with our reservation. We started as a group of 7 for seating at 615 & some of us were late & we added an 8th person & they handled it very well. Our server did a great job! He was very personable & also worked w us splitting up the check which can be painful with a large group. They have a good bar with a good beer selection. I didn't have wine so I can't speak to that selection. They did a very nice job renovating the place, I'm not sure what it has been in the past, some chain restaurant, but it was very comfortable. The only reason I wouldn't give this 5 stars was the food. It was very good just not great! I had the linguine & clam sauce & the clams although numerous were the tiniest clams I've seen. Others at the table enjoyed their dinners as well but none were wowed by theirs & to earn 5 stars that's what it takes. Prices were reasonable. My wife and I have visited many times and we generally enjoy the food but the atmosphere has degraded. On our latest visit, the service felt very rushed and at our typical after dinner drink at the bar, the staff began mopping the floor; cleaning the bar and generally preparing to close at 9:30PM. They were literally cleaning around us making us feel we were in the way. I understand that the Staff works hard and deserves to go home but seriously? Mopping up around the customers? On another note, what is with "Bread as an appetizer" for $3 at an Italian restaurant? Bread and oil at an Italian restaurant is part of the ambiance! Bread is breadth! How long before we see Sauce on the menu as an 'appetizer'.
