a target in a wooden box
    Sharon S.

Lots of fun and laughs abound here! Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We certainly did. This is the second place I've been to with axe throwing. (Think it was good I knew what to do when I arrived.) The person who trained us was hard to hear bc it was loud in the place. And we were ok. Tip: Easy to sign up online - the only way to get a reservation. Tip: if you go during bright sunlight, as for a back lane. If it is too sunny outside it can be difficult to see the projected target on the wood. There was one waitress for all lanes - she seemed very busy. And was pleasant and we were well served. There is a projector and you can pick different games to play (tic tac toe, monopoly, whack a mole, darts, and more) If you're staying at patriots place or are near by, this is a fun activity!!!

Mom hitting the target on her first try! - A woman wearing glasses and a dark long-sleeve shirt is standing inside an axe-throwing venue, raising her arms in celebration after hitting a target. The venue features a fenced area with digital projection targets on the walls, and a control panel is visible on the left side of the image. The setting appears lively and energetic, with the woman smiling and expressing excitement.

Great food! Great staff! Great time! Special thanks to the team giving our mom a great birthday and a chance to throw the big axe!

A circular target painted on a wooden surface displays concentric rings with numbers from 1 to 4, indicating scoring zones. The target is painted in pink and white, with the dart positioned at the center, indicating a bullseye shot. The wood grain and cracks are visible through the paint, giving a rustic appearance. The image captures a game or activity setting, likely related to axe-throwing or similar recreational activity at Crazy Axes in Foxborough, MA.

The axe throwing was fun. Our coach and server was nice. But that's about all I can say nice about the place. It was Friday night and it was DEAD. They were out of everything so we had to settle for some mozzarella sticks with no marinara. Burnt chicken with ketchup. (Odd choice) However the pretzels were good. Overall I had fun playing but if I were to ever go back I would eat first.

    Great shot!

"Walk in as strangers, leave as friends."…read more If that's not a saying that makes you want to head there now, then I don't know what is LOL! Obviously, there is more to the new renovated location of La Cantina than this saying but I will say I was pretty impressed when I saw it and knew I had to add it to my review. Let's just say it is pretty accurate. We did leave as friends since we made a few at the bar and then some. Just saying! La Cantina winery in Franklin, MA used to be a small wine bar that offered wine tasting flights and minimal food. BUT, now it is in a stunning new location (not far from their old stomping grounds). Fun Fact: It used to be a Mechanic garage. Well, wait until you see how it has turned from fixing cars to wine making and tasting. YOU HAVE GOT TO COME HERE! Parking is easy with plenty of spots. They have a lot of room at their gorgeous bar, but they also have high tops and tables for families or a large group. And, they host events here too; birthday parties, bridal showers, and anything in between, this place is it. I actually want to hold one of my milestone birthday parties here but well keep the number a secret for now. Service: Alana was our bartender and she was wonderful. Always asking us what we needed and how were doing. You don't get this upscale service any where else. And, when I wanted another sample of something she gave it to me without a fuss. Always with a smile on her face, she was the best. Wine: They have an excellent wine menu to choose from and they offer flights for about $25 pp. Flights are the best way to try multiple wines. I personally loved most of the red wines with Petit Sirah being my favorite. My husband loved their Barbera! I did sample their Sauv Blanc too which was nice but it was too cold to have a full pour. Food: Their menu is great with a ton of options from charcuterie, to tapas and some entrees. I will say some of their items can get expensive but definitely worth it. We started with a few cheeses and prosciutto. Then we ordered one of their popular pizzas called La Cantina. Everything was fresh, made in house with their beautiful pizza oven right smack in the middle of the bar. You have got to see this thing, its huge! Overall: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We had the best time and we can't wait to go back. Franklin is not far from where we live but still a good 30 minute drive and also not far from the Wrentham outlets. We didn't have to make a reservation for a Sunday afternoon but I bet Saturdays can get pretty busy. I just loved everything about this wine bar and I know you will too! Cheers~

No one came to address is for severance minutes and then choose to move to the bar. Here, Alna, the main bartender, greeted us immediately and made us feel welcome. She explained the wine flights and offered a sample of Reisling to my girlfriend, who preferred Moscato, which La Cantina doesn't offer (though no one trait does in New England). Thankfully Alna had a similar palate to that of my girlfriend, and they quickly made a connection. Love that! I chose a flight of reds and ultimately preferred the Clone 8 above those that I tried, thigh the Cab Sav Reserve was a close second. The Drunken Goat cheese sample was delicious too! The menu definitely has us eager to come back for food. And for those who aren't wine drinkers they have a small selection of beer and a cider. The atmosphere is lively and open, and looks like they'd open up the large bar doors on a nice day. Come enjoy a flight, or a glass, you can't go wrong!

While I can appreciate the choose your own adventure / tasting concept and benefits of moving at your own pace, wine tasting is something where I'd prefer to have more of a personal touch. The storytelling and personal connection was missing, and made the experience feel a bit hollow. The space was a nice open hang and there's snacks and games, and there is staff there, but the experience made me realize I prefer a guided human tour for some things, wine tasting being one of them. Prices also snuck up on us a bit, it's easy to lose count of how many you've had with the card reader. I was also a bit bummed to find that if you liked a wine you cannot purchase a bottle on site. But I'm glad I tried it and had fun.

There's a nonna back there that knows what she's doing! The restaurant has two sides and is cozy. The wine selection is excellent, and our waiter recommended a Montepulciano that was so phenomenal we ended up ordering a whole bottle. We're still craving it days later. We started with the oysters, which I believe were from Wellfleet, and they were outstanding. They were meaty, fresh, and had no brine/salty taste at all. Even the bread with olive oil was memorable because it was perfectly salted and soo flavorful. For my entree, I had the chicken piccata with house‑made gnocchi--- simply divine. Truly one of the best gnocchis I've ever had! Wish there was more of them though. This was our first time trying the restaurant and it was SO good. Just note that the entrance is not at the front of the building, it's at a side door down the alleyway. We came here for our anniversary dinner as the mister knows I love a good home made pasta and from reading that everything is made fresh with hand picked ingredients, he thought the pasta was homemade as well, unfortunately only the gnocchi and ravioli were made in house. We were told that due to staff shortage, they couldn't keep up with making fresh pasta anymore. The bread appetizer was good that had a tasty olive oil that accompanied it. The fresh ricotta and pecorino/prosciutto sticks - both were fine but nothing phenomenal. We both ordered parmigiana after we were told their parm is delicious as they don't put it in the oven twice - so we got one chicken and one veal. We realized when it came out what they meant - the burrata on the parm was cold. Very interesting rendition but not for us. I didn't like a bite of warm chicken then a bite of cold burrata to follow up. Our favorite prob was the dessert, toffee cake - it was a nice finish to dinner. The service was good but it was pretty busy that night so everything felt a bit chaotic, but kudos to the team as glasses were always filled and dishes were cleared promptly. It does feel a bit tight but I'm sure they try to maximize the space they have. It's a bit out of the way so we won't be rushing back.

We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.
