Since they have a full bar, we asked why. I honestly don't think she knew what a Margarita was. She said she'd ask the bartender & came back to tell us they could make them. We asked the price. Again, she had to find out... $12. We agreed, but when she returned with two drinks in Old Fashioned glasses, I refused mine. The drink was literally 4 sips! My dining companion kept hers & said it was nicely made but not worth the price. I ordered a ginger ale instead ($3). We both ordered fish & chips ($21) and, again, were disappointed with what we received for the price. The chips appeared to be hand cut & were tasty, but the small, thin fish fillets were breaded in what I believe was cornmeal. Edible but certainly not what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Where's the beer batter? Neither of us liked the tiny cup of coleslaw. Afterwards, we asked for a dessert menu. Again, no prices. There were three desserts & several coffee drinks listed. We opted for Irish coffees ($13) and were pleased with the coffee, whiskey, brown sugar and fresh whipped cream concoctions. With tax & tip, the total bill came to $105.76, way too much for this kind of place. And, they ended up charging us $13 for that mini-Margarita. Whatever. We won't be back.

Every time, I've been impressed with the fun, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy some good food, grab a beer or glass of wine, and let the kids have a great time. The food and small bites are just enough when you're sitting outside--perfect for something casual while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I also love that it's dog-friendly, which adds to the welcoming, laid-back feel. Yes, they serve beer and wine, but this definitely doesn't feel like a bar or a place centered around drinking. It's much more about families, friends, food, and having a good time together. It's a really cute local spot, and I'm happy to see something like this opening in the area. The Drinks: I got the Dew, which I found to be light, flavorful and an easy drink despite being an IPA with an over 7% abv. It was definitely the best part of the visit. My wife got the Black Cherry seltzer, which was fine. Good flavor upfront and no alcohol flavor, but nothing exciting. It's a seltzer so that's about what you'd expect. The food: unfortunately very disappointing. We got the firebird and the Italian. The firebird, was just spicy. No other flavor. No complexity. Just spicy. You couldn't even tell there were other ingredients on the sandwich. Sure Nashville hot sauce is supposed to be spicy, but the whole sandwich had one note: and it was spicy. The good news is that saved it from being dry because dry was the theme of the food. (For context I have no problem with spicy food). The Italian, also had one note: dry. Turning kings Hawaiian buns into a grilled cheese, the bread doesn't hold up to the demand of pressing it down on both sides. So you're left with dry bread. That was paired with mozzarella that didn't get melty and gooey , it got dry. And the rest of the ingredients just don't have the strength to stand out (crispy prosciutto and crispy Parmesan) The chips that came with each dish, one salt and pepper one garlic and herb, sadly both were uneventful, and while maybe crispy, the takeaway was the chips were just DRY. The Ambiance: Very nice. Family friendly, definitely a hip Brewery feel to it. Sadly just not enough to carry the whole experience. Would I come back? Only if I was coming from a particularly stressful trip to the kids book store right next door.
