Visited Ojai Olive Oil as part of our day trip from LA and really enjoyed the experience. Compared…read moreto another olive oil tasting we did in Paso Robles, this one felt a bit more fast-casual and relaxed--which honestly wasn't a bad thing at all. It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)

There are no tastings currently. Only a store called a "tasting room."…read more As of 1/30, the website and signs say the "tasting room" is open for business. Based on this, wife, dog and I made a three hour drive to the tasting room. Once there, staff stated tastings were paused due to permit issues for an indefinite time. Business and Professions Code 17500 prohibits false advertising to induce the public to patron businesses. Common sense and decency prohibits this. Staff offered ten percent off products and a voucher for future tasting visits. Staff stated customers should have called before arriving to confirm the website was accurate and that they had no responsibility. Staff was rude. No apologies just a stoic attitude with flippant responses. I purchased products without a tasting that was promised. Please update your website immediately. General public is being harmed. Incredibly disappointing experience.

I'm trying out 4 options this go around and they have a rewards program after 10 you get a free small bottle. Pricing is straight forward by size of bottle and they have other snack items as well. Chocolates and olives. I picked up some garlic stuffed Spanish olives that looked great. Friendly service, it is a small shop, one person doing all the work while I was there so be patient if someone else is ahead of you. The feel is like you're wine tasting and they will let you sample whatever peaks your interest.

This store has been a transport vehicle into a better way to cook, prepare dishes and make sugarless mock-tails. The other five star reviews really say it all - and I am totally on board. Mary has taught me so much about olive oil. She let me and my wife taste so many too. The education on the health benefits and potency and seasons... I now own and use about 15 bottles of both oils and vinegars. My faves: Balsamics for mocktails- guava, gravenstein apple, watermelon Balsamics for salad - lemon, oregano, and champangne Oils - Madigascar black pepper, bahklavout peppers oil (spicy) many different varieties of cooking and fresh usage robust to medium. These oils make every single dish taste better. Antica and Mary (the owner) are both gems. Seriously drop in, get educated and enjoy the next phase of you gourmet journey. Upgrade your cooking scene and spend some time, energy and money at Antica. Ambiance: Obviously a beautiful and serene creative environment.

On staff was Alexis, who was great! She was warm, welcoming, had great energy and was extremely knowledgeable of the products. She recommended various flavor combinations/ tastings. I ended up buying 3 mini bottles to start off, Tuscan Herb Oil, Rosemary Olive Oil, and Italian Herbs of Naples Balsamic Vinegar. She gave suggestions on how to incorporate them into every day foods, which I've done and they are delicious! A little bit goes a long way. I'll definitely be back to purchase larger bottles.

Love love love getting their sample size bottles when I'm not 100% sure I want a bigger bottle. Their staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable. I wish they had more house ware to choose from such as serving bottles or dipping sets that came with dipping bowls/serving ware. Sometimes I just want a one-stop shop for a nice oil & balsamic gift set. That won't stop me from getting them here for myself though! PS - Encourage you to sign up for their rewards. She patiently explained every flavor, pairing, and use without ever making us feel rushed. You can really feel the passion behind the products. Honestly, this place is therapy.
