I have visited this location several times. The Margaritas are really good. My favorite meal is the large ground beef burrito with the Tex mex sauce. The staff is always very friendly. My favorite waitress is Dania. She is always friendly and has a warm and welcoming smile. She is very efficient but always makes me feel welcome. It is nice to end the day with good food and excellent service. read more

The God was great. I had been looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Love their taxi taco bar.

Went here for a happy hour on a busy Friday night! I never knew about the unlimited nacho trunk bar!! Our server Alaina was kept very busy all evening but was still super attentive to our table. Everyone in my group wanted to make sure this review reflected the amazing service we got from Alaina. Will definitely come here again and order more from the menu! read more

Service was excellent. Decor is really cute and retro. I liked their chips but that's about it. Food was nothing special. And no beer on tap. read more

Excellent food, excellent service. We were originally headed to Don Pablo's and, finding it closed, noticed the Chuy's nearby and decided to try it. The atmosphere is pretty strange (diner feel with pretty fresh music and basically everything homemade, where I'm from these things don't mix often), but it's lively and overall nice. Our server, Isha, started off with a joke and was pleasant and attentive from there. We were given chips and salsa, as well as a creamy jalapeno sauce for dipping, all of which were excellent and made in-house. And my entree was also amazing. I got the vegetarian combo, which had probably the most excellent chile relleno I've ever had. You could tell it wasn't frozen, because the pepper still had some texture, and it was absolutely brimming with cheese. The vegetarian enchilada was out of this world. Rather than just stuffing it with cheese or beans and calling it a day, there was a vegetable medley, including zucchini, onions, and corn. They took the extra time to make a vegetarian plate something that even meat eaters might order, and the attention to detail was really nice and unexpected. I will definitely visit again. read more

This place is awesome!!! The wait was about half of what we were told and everyone was so nice. From the hostess to the bartender to our Server D.J. The food is amazing and you get massive amounts for such a low price. I was shocked. D.J. Walked us through the various salsas. She was friendly and just all around awesome. The enchiladas were out of this world. Sitting outside while the pumped 80's tunes just mad bathe night that much better. We will definitely be back!!! read more

Only 2-3 tables were full when we came in. We had to track our server several times, our drinks weren't refilled and I ended up walking up to the bar multiple times to order food and pay the bill even though they had at least 10 ppl just standing around looking at us. No one seemed to know what they're doing. Won't be back. read more

Chuy's food is delicious, the interior is nice to look at and the service is great. The first time I went we were served by a gentleman who was just so awesome and knowledgeable. The price isn't bad at all and it is definately a place I would go to hang out with my friends for drinks or just dinner. All in all would most definately recommend. read more

I tried Chicka Chicka boom boom after reading lot of reviews here and it was AMAZING.My husband Combo#6 and it was good too. We both couldn't finish as the quantity is pretty large. This will be my to go place here on for Mexican food. read more

My first time going to Chuy's last night. I noted that it looked like the silver diner I went to in Reston but with a Mexican flair. I passed by it every time I would go to the shopping center adjacent to it. I was curious and wanted to try it out. The food was delicious and spicy. The menu had a lot of options and the meal portions were satisfying. Josey (my server) was great getting the order and staying on top of things with the tables. The only negative for this place would be the parking and the location of the front door, which could be a choke point for people coming and going. Other than that, I would definitely recommend to everyone. read more

Been there several times. Food tastes great and good atmosphere. But I've gotten sick last two times I ate there so I'm afraid to go back

Eh. We ordered out. Best thing was the Baja shrimp tacos. The crispy beef and soft chicken tacos were mediocre at best. Guac was just OK. Meal left us thinking we should have made our own at home. read more

Service could have been a little better but, overall it was a nice place. Food was yummm. Big portion too. I ordered the combo of enchiladas and taco and Husband ordered the "big as your face" burrito. read more

This place definitely struck me by surprise. As soon as I walked in everyone greeted us very warmly and were great. The food was delicious and the chips and dip pushed everything over the edge. Do yourself a favor and try the creamy jalapeno dip. And if you have Mary Beth as a server, you're beyond lucky because she was one of the best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. read more

We had the Wednesday special of "Street Tacos" and ordered margaritas...delicious. Super efficient and friendly waiter named Stephon. We will be going back soon:) read more

Excellent food, plentiful, hot and served with a smile. Fantastic recommendations and service by Ajmal.

We found this place by accident, we were driving to another mex restaurant and saw this place. What a find, food we so good had the steak burrito. Services was not so good at first, however when Eric showed up that all changed. I would go back again, maybe today. read more

I would like to start out by saying that I too was at Chuy's on 5/5 as was a reviewer below (Jim M). My husband and I arrived at about the same time the other reviewer did, 5:20 or so. We were told about a 40 min. wait so we took our pager and waited. The place was PACKED, probably due to the fact it was Cinco de Mayo. We got our table at about 40 minutes like the hostess said. The interior design is pretty retro, we liked all the kooky decorations like the hubcaps on the ceiling. We waited about 5 minutes til our server, I believe her name was "Tequila" (that's what her name tag said) approached us. She brought us chips and salsa and proceeded to explain how everything worked. She told us about the free queso, etc in the bar area. We had a drink and ordered. My husband had the elvis presley combo and he loved it. A LOT of food. I had the chuychanga. Excellente' All in all, a very nice, positive first time experience. The food was great, service was fast. Our server told us that many of the people working there were from another store. They were brought in to help out til the permament staff are fully trained. In my opinion, this was very smart on Chuy's part. We have been to many newly opened restaurants and it was almost always a disaster. New staff do try but it is always about a month or 2 until they work out the bugs. With Chuys bringing in seasoned employees to assist, it made for a very good first time experience. We will go back. read more

New tex-mex restaurant in town. I must say I was impressed with our server Anna's quick and attentiveness throughout our dinning experience. Service is very important to me so just based on that this place deserves a 5 star. Food was good too, I had the beef fajitas and my fiance had the "chuyschanga" both 2 thumbs up and fairly priced our entire bill was $32 ! Which is great 2 entries a drink and one of their homemade sauces creamy jalapeño yum. We didn't get a chance to check out the bar but we figured wed come back when the weather is warmer to go to the bar and also utilizes the patio. Chuy's is now in my restaurant rotation. read more

Bomb bomb employees or a little rude but overall great food . I definitely recommend anybody who likes some good Mexican food to try this place out. Love the whole Elvis thing they have going on there read more

The food was actually lovely, but the servers were cussing in front of my friends and I as if we weren't customers. I'm talking, the bad curse words, not the ones that aren't that bad. Ridiculous. read more

Two things good about this restaurant is their location and the "salsa" they serve with chips. I ordered fajita chicken tacos and they were cold. Chicken smelled funny. Waiter was rushed with our order - couldn't seem to write what we wanted and my wife got chicken quesadilla- when she wanted veggies. Final bill - no doubt - we are charged for both chicken and veggie quesidillas. Drinks are blah. I am done with this place ! read more

Welcome to Sterling/Cascades, Chuy's!! You're a refreshing step up from your direct competition! I enjoyed my Southwest Encilada dinner! The blue corn tortillas are a great twist, and the generous chicken & spicy accents made it ideal! The service was upbeat and efficient, and overall, we had a great experience. Suggestion - be a bit more generous with the serving size of the guacamole! If diners want completely authentic Tex-Mex, they'll need to avoid the chain restaurants, but if they want much better than On The Border & Don Pablo's with a family-friendly atmosphere, they'll enjoy Chuy's! We did! read more

I had the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. Lots of food! This is exceptional food for the price, they have a great handle on Tex-Mex.

When I heard of Chuys opening near me, I instantly went over to check it out. And so far so good. I've been twice and their burritos are excellent with lots of flavor. Our server recommend the boom boom (might've been bam bam) sauce on my burrito and it was a hit to me. Only problem was the waiting time as our food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. Nonetheless, it is a phenomenal new restaurant that I will be at many times in the future. read more

Our server was AMAZING...she was super personable and tried hard to help us find something we wanted,,,everything seemed to be a a bit "off" from what I wanted. She explained the decor and the hand carved fish...all very interesting. I ordered the fajitas, steak and chicken and they were SO dry...awful, like could barely chew and swallow It ...so bummed. The food was lacking a bit of flavor...i know it's a chain, but I honestly expected better. Would have received one star, if it weren't for our spectacular waitress. A woman, maybe in her mid to late 40s? Sandy blonde hair... read more

Went to Chuys in Sterling and it was good. Sat at the bar and I love the fact that they have a nacho bar for happy hour 4-7pm. The bartender Jasom was nice, friendly, and welcoming. He told us his favorites and made delicious happy hour margaritas great bartender. Most of the rest of the staff seem like teenagers and as tho they lack experience. The host didn't greet us. They seemed too interested in their own conversation, so we sat ourselves at the bar. Enchiladas were good. read more

Great food, great service...and the killer of that sad Don Pablo's down the street! What's not to like?!

Excellent Tex Mex food! Thin, crispy chips are delicious. So is the guacamole. Try the creamy jalapeño dip. Loved the taco salad. Someone in my party ordered Elvis fried chicken. Muy bueno! Ask for Megan (waitress). She is super. read more

What a big change we saw here this evening. It was bad enough that I have to re-evaluate returning. Tortilla Chips in tiny pieces, Salsa 3 times hotter than usual, Fajitas super bland as well as the Rice and Beans. Service friendly but so unrefined slapping thinks down on the table and not refilling Chips. Did the kitchen management change? Why such a bad turn about? I have no idea but I was definitely unimpressed and dissatisfied. read more

Been here twice. First time they forgot the appetizer. Second time my beans came out cold so I returned the dish. When they brought the new dish, the rice was barely warm! I asked for the manager and when he came over he said they have this problem periodically because it's such a long walk from the kitchen. Really! That's not a problem that will run restaurants have. Given all the good options I have in my neighborhood, not really inclined to go back. Oh well! read more

Love Chuy's!!!! Their chicken tortilla soup is the BEST!!!! Can't find a better one anywhere

We took my husband out for dinner on Father's Day and thought we would try something different for a change. I am not usually a Mexican food lover because over the years, the food was more fast food tasting rather than authentic to me. My children had heard that Chuy's was pretty good so I went on line and read a lot of reviews which said the same thing. Also, one of my gages as to whether a restuarant is good or not is if it has a crowd, i.e., there are lots of cars there, and since this Chuy's has been open, there is always lots of cars there. Anyway, once we got there, we had to wait a little, but being Father's Day and have a party of 7, we expected that. The food was superb. Everyone enjoyed their food. As everyone has said, they bring out baskets of tortilla chips that are thin and crispy with delicious salsa (my favorite) and a jalapeno ranch sauce which my granddaughter loved. I had the comida deluxe meal which was very good, and one of the highlighted meals as one of their most popular ones, some had salads, and fajitas. The salads were h-u-g-e!!! They looked delicious and I was told that they were. I also actually liked the guacamole which is quite unusual for me, because usually do not like it. I was told that I liked this because it is freshly made. I will tell you that there is definitely a different taste. We all loved everything we had, and as many others have stated, we couldn't eat it all. We all had to bring part of it home. I suggest that you do not drink so much before your meal, because that is part of why you get full so quick, especially, since you get refilled as soon as your drink gets down. We did not get dessert because as stated, we were full. Now, I have to say, we had the greatest waiter, Mario. From the time we were seated, he was there. He knew the menu well and answered any questions that we had. He came back often to ask if we needed anything more. He was so personable. If you go there, I highly recommend him for your waiter and I want the manager to know that they have a great employee. read more

My girlfriend and I came in this evening and walked into hosts/hostesses talking at the podium taking a moment to greet us because of their conversation. We then were seated in a very empty dining room, only about 2-3 families. We looked at the menu and knew what we wanted while waiting to be served. We did not see anyone coming to us nor like anyone was making it a priority to greet us and get us started. This was our first time trying Chuy's as we have been on the search for the best fajitas in NOVA... this was a disappointment. Go to Los Toltecos or Plaza Azteca. Better service. read more

Dined there today. The server was luke warm, not to friendly. As far as food. I had the The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo consisting of Beef Tex-Mex enchilada, cheese Ranchero enchilada, chicken Tomatillo enchilada, a seasoned ground sirloin crispy taco & homemade tostada chips dipped in chile con queso. The cheese and Tex-Mex enchilada were good but the crispy taco was over greased and broke apart when I picked it up, didn't eat it. The chicken in the chicken tomatillo enchilada was tough and very dry, also inedible. The rice had a burnt flavor and I'm not sure why there was a lone chip with cheese on the plate, just didn't make sense. I took most of it home for my dog to eat. Don't plan on returning. read more

I was not impressed by this place. The only thing that was actually what I expected was the margaritas, I mean I would hope that people couldn't mess that up too badly...My boyfriend and I went after wanting to try this place since it opened. I had never been to a Chuy's before so I assumed it wouldn't be too bad. It seemed like the whole place was run by 18 year olds who didn't seem to know what was going on. Our waitress didn't know the drink or food menu and even suggested something that wasn't even on their current menu. Our food came out quickly, but my quesadillas were basically little tacos folded over (definitely not what I expected), my boyfriends macho burrito was very good and hot, I wish I had ordered that instead. After we got our food our waitress pretty much disappeared without really checking in to see if we needed anything. Finally after waiting around she came back with our check. I don't think I will be in any rush to try this place again, I think I will stick to what I know and go to Uncle Julio's instead. read more

GET CHIPOTLE INSTEAD. This place is trash. I saw THREE roaches, the service was sooo slow, and the tables were dirty. I'm HIGHLY disappointed. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

I went into the Chuy's in Sterling tonight and had a great experience at the bar. I first had Sam, then Dennis. Both were very attentive, friendly, went above and beyond by providing the pricing for your queso which I did purchase. They both are great employees and represent any company well. Thank you Sam and Dennis for doing a great job. You not only took good care of me, I noticed everyone else you did take care of, you used the same care and attention on them. read more

I love this restaurant! Almost everything I have tried so far has been very tasty and the servers and bartenders are always amazing! Jesse and Mario are our favorites!!! The margaritas are so yummy I just wish they came in a bigger glass, maybe like the giant margarita glasses that they used to have at that other Mexican place years ago near here. Happy hour is so much fun with the car hood that opens up full of tasty nachos for all!!! This is my little girls favorite restaurant now! One server told her all about the little plastic men hidden throughout the restaurant so she loves trying to find them each time we visit. We also recently found out that if you take a framed picture of your pet dog to be added and hung on the wall, you get a free appetizer. She has already made me buy the frame and now we just have to print out one of the multiple pictures we already have. We will definitely be going back soon, as I constantly crave the chicken tortilla soup ... it is to die for! read more
