This was my first visit to Chuy's. The restaurant has a fun theme and atmosphere. The restaurant staff were great - really friendly and helpful. My server recommended the steak burrito as a good crowd pleaser, but mentioned it was very spicy. I went for it. Now, I was with a large group so I understand how that can impact a food order. But my burrito came out and the portion was huge. The seasoning was hatch chili, and maybe medium spicy at best. But it was terrible. The steak was low quality and sliced up in a way that made it feel chewed up, and was lukewarm. The flavor was bad and i didn't come close to finishing. The rice and beans were also pretty weak. I did not complain, but definitely didn't finish. This was terrible food, and wildly overpriced for the quality. However the staff were really fantastic and it has a fun vibe - it is just too bad the food was such poor quality. read more

Someone in our party called ahead on a Saturday afternoon and basically got a reservation, even though we had been told no reservations a few days prior. We were seated right away/early as we waited for the final few members of our party. In the meantime, the chips, dip, and salsa were plentiful as we ordered drinks. Our server was not the best, he was pretty forgetful and had to come back to the table a few times to ask again what we'd ordered, both with drinks and with our main meals. One friend ordered guac but he rang in queso and somehow we also ended up with another round of extra guac and queso right before our meals arrived. I ordered the steak salad, and my meal came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's. It was also in a different bowl than the others who had ordered the same salad, so that felt a little off. It tasted good and the jalapeño dressing was plentiful. I had asked for water and it took quite a while to get any, as our server seemingly disappeared for a bit. We went to Chuy's to celebrate our son's birthday. It was on a Sunday around 7 pm and the place was empty except for another table. The restaurant looked like it had many rooms though so there could have been a few tables per room. Our waiter was prompt and got us taken care of right away. The menu did not have as many choices as other Mexican places. It had enchiladas, fajitas, tacos and burritos and chimichangas. I think they are known for their sauces. They had a lot of sauces from mild to spicy. The menu only had a front and back side and did not have what I was craving: Carne Asada. Most Mexican places have a menu with pages that flip. I was on a strict diet and it was hard to find something healthy. I got the fajita steak salad. I asked for dressing on the side and no cheese. My son and husband both got the Chuychanga which is their fried burrito. We also got an order of cheese dip. My salad came out with cheese in it...boo...but I picked it off. It did not look appealing but I was pleasantly surprised! Let me tell you that it was delicious!!! The dressing was so delicious as well, but the salad didn't need dressing. The steak was flavorful and I almost ate the whole thing. I also added the Fresca salsa as suggested by our waiter. I'm actually craving it right now! It's something I would order whether I'm on or off my diet. My husband and son loved their chimichangas or as it was called "Chuychangas". It wasn't as good as the one we had in Tucson but it was really good! Cheese dip was just ok, nothing to brag about. Our waiter was so good, quick and helpful. Food, service, pricing and ambiance were great. Would definitely go again and would have finished it all but got too full. Probably the best Mexican food I have ever had. The last time i heard a kid scream at that volume for a solid half an hour was when my cousin was getting a 5" dog bite sutured up on his arm in the emergency room. But there is absolutely nothing this establishment could have done about that. In my estimation, said kid just liked the sound of his/her voice as he/she appeared to be totally fine after the screaming session concluded. Parents get a zero to one star. read more

Really cool place! We sat in the area that was car themed and really enjoyed it & weren't expecting it at all when we walked in! The complimentary chips and salsa were the best I've ever had! Not happy at all about my favorite Mexican restaurant. New management again and they're changing things that aren't broken like my tortilla soup that used to have a clear broth that is now what seems to be a beef broth and so extremely salty I cannot eat it. New napkins that feel like sandpaper ((literally)) if you rub them they sound like a brown paper bag.. Stop trying to fix things that aren't broken please.. I'm not sure when or if I'll be back but this was our go to spot every Sunday after church but I don't think any more!! read more

We were heading home from Columbus to Cleveland and wanted to grab a quick dinner. This fit the bill. We sat right away and it wasn't too crowded. Place is typical Tex-mex with decor. Nothing unique. Menu is not too big. Which I actually liked. They have some apps, some tacos and burritos, enchiladas, a few specialty entrees and soup and salads. Not overwhelming. Server was very nice and very eager to please. We got tacos which were good. You get 3 and the plate looked filling.The app quesadillas, which was also pretty good. I got the tex cobb salad. It was pretty good. It was lots of food. I took more than half home. OK so why the score? Because it was just all average. It was OK. Nothing bad. But nothing great or spectacular at all. Just had a great experience dining at this place for the first time. It was surprisingly affordable, especially in an area so packed with expensive restaurants. They were very flexible with the menu items, since I am one of those people who cannot tolerate the noxious weed called cilantro. Attentive, friendly service. Generous portions, especially with the carry-out entree I ordered in addition to dinner. The take-out was organized in separate containers, and a large bad of chips was included along with the salsa and ranch dips. Will be returning asap! read more

Been awhile since we've eaten here. We stopped coming sometime after Covid because they didn't have a lot of the old menu items. One of our favorites was the Elvis Presley Memorial Platter. Hadn't been to this location I don't think. Ordered food for Mother's Day. For some reason the Easton location does not have tres leches cake for online ordering (and has often been out in the past.) This one did, and since that's really the main draw for Sweetie, I came here. Texted when I arrived; food came out barely one minute after specified time, so yay. Fresh and hot. Well-packed, as always at Chuy's. The tres leches is huge and good. She had her usual burrito and Baby K had cheese quesadillas; both enjoyed them. I tried the new chili verde chicken enchiladas. Pretty darn good. Just a tiny amount of heat in them. Good portion size, with the rice and beans. Plus you get a big bag of chips and their sauces (your choice, we just go with the creamy jalapeno and the pico.) Nothing amazing, but solid chain Tex-Mex at reasonable prices. Haven't been here for awhile. Disappointed today to discover they no longer offer their Happy Hour appetizer buffet. Also dropped my favorite the blue corn enchiladas from the menu. I ordered the three enchilada and crisp taco dinner. It was excellent, although I'd much rather have the churro beans they used to offer than refried beans. Another disappointment. The Grandma's margarita was very good. I sat at the bar and the bartender was adequate but not overly attentive. We arrived around 6pm, immediately seated, greeted, waters/drinks, chips. Servyer was SO nice, very attentive. Cute funky atmosphere. 50s style chairs and tables, Elvis statue. No one is taking themselves too seriously here. We started with small guacamole and small queso, just enough. I ordered the enchilada and taco. Well seasoned. Healthy portion, just good Mexican food. Hubby had an Elvis platter, SO much food. Kids had big as ya face burritos We asked for a lot of customization and they delivered. Everyone enjoyed everything and we plowed through 4 baskets of chips. At the end of the meal the server asked if the kids wanted dessert, even though we didn't get them a traditional kids meal. Options were vanilla ice cream or an orange push pop. She also offered me one! With appetizer dips, 4 adult meals, and a few beers this was $100+ with a nice tip, but overall we had such a nice experience which isn't always the case these days. One of my favorite Mexican restaurant chains. The menu is very simple unlike a lot of restaurants and the food quality and consistency is off the charts. Very kid friendly and I would add that there is never usually sticker shock when you get your bill. This is one of those places that every time we eat there we always wonder why we don't eat there more often. read more

I was given bowls of fresh salsa Fresca and creamy jalapeño sauces to dip my thin and crispy tortilla chips in. My friends and I loved everything we ordered. The chips were the best we've ever had, and the creamy jalapeño dip was unlike anything I've ever tasted. The service was great, and Mary Kate was a rock star server. The tortilla soup was absolutely delicious! We stopped for lunch at Chuy's and had great meals. We were warmly greeted immediately on entering and taken to our table. The service from Holly, our server, was outstanding. Another member of the wait staff began our beverage order until Holly could accommodate us. Every table gets a serving of tortilla chips and fresh salsa and creamy jalapeño; both excellent! The tortilla chips are light, fresh, and crispy. The salsa is very fresh with a wonderful tomato-lime-hint of salty seasoning that goes perfectly with the tortilla chips as is the creamy jalapeño dipping sauce. The atmosphere in Chuy's is festive complimenting the Mexican cuisine. We had a Chuychanga filled with roasted chicken, cheese, cilantro, and green chiles with Tex Mex sauce (I prefer the tomatillo sauce to this but wanted to try a new one). And we also had Chicken Flautas with Queso sauce as a great compliment. Each dish came with Mexican rice and refried beans, fresh lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo. The serving sizes are ample. Our server kept our beverages filled along with chips and salsa. Visited after work with friends. This was my first time visiting this location. I previously visited the Easton location. The restaurant was not busy when we sat down but picked up a little bit by the time we left. Upon being seated we were given chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and tasty. We ordered jalapeño dip and guacamole to go pair with the chips. The jalapeño dip was the highlight. I ordered the Deluxe Chicken Enchiladas as my entree. The sauce was pretty good but the chicken was tough and dry. It likely was overcooked. Overall it wasn't the worst meal but it was a bit disappointing. read more

I love, love, love Chuy's. I would have to say it is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Their chips and salsa are over the top delicious. Their chips are light and airy and melt in your mouth. Their jalapeño ranch dip is extraordinary, not too hot and not too mild, it is just right. Have I mentioned their hard tacos, their homemade taco shells are light, airy, and super yummy. I love their shrimp tacos too, they are delicious. We had a super nice waiter that catered to our every need. The decor is Mexican and it has a fun atmosphere. One warning is that their salsa that comes with the chips, has jalapeños in it so quite spicy. Not sure if there's an alternative. Big parking lot outside seating in Polaris. We were not sure what we were in for. I guess it's a Tex Mex place. The pictures of all the dogs were really cool to look at while we waited for a drink. We had the chips and guacamole and a choice of spicy salsas. We had great service who had the time and patience to tell us all about the dishes. I had a huge steak burrito and it was spicy not realizing it I added more hot salsa. Alot of margarita to drink down the spice. Chuy's always hits the spot. We ordered for takeout due to covid. They had our order ready to go in 15 minutes and we did not even have to step out as they have curb side pick up. Glad we ordered to go because the parking lot was pretty full. Not my first time getting the chicka chicka boom boom platter, and it won't be the last. It's always great and I just love the spicy sauce they have on top. It definitely has a kick, so it may not be for those who do not like things too spicy, or perhaps ask for the sauce on the side. They even packed up their complimentary chips and salsas. Always love the freshness of the house made tortilla chips and salsas. If I knew I would be getting the chips, I would have not ordered the panchos. The panchos are HUGE nachos and we got them with ground beef. My husband and I were so full with just the chips and panchos, we barely had our entrees. IMO, I would prefer the nachos to be as big (I know crazy, right?). My husband got the chicken fajitas, and everything was nicely packed up, making it very easy to assemble at home. The portions are big, and definitely lasted two meals for both of us. I usually don't like refried beans much, but I really do find the ones at Chuy's tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone to who has cravings for a Tex Mex meal. We had just said that we didn't really enjoy dining out as much anymore but then we were totally proven wrong when we ate at Chuy's for lunch the other day. The GM was so personable - Best service I've had in years! Food is fresh and delicious. It's Tex Mex. A little more complexity in spices and a little more decadent. Somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 overall. Our server was fantastic on an obviously busy and understaffed weekend. He was attentive and friendly and quickly fixed an issue when the food arrived. Solid 5 experience there. The chips were thinner than I expected and broke apart easily, especially dipping. The queso was super watery though it had a good flavor, but I wouldn't order it again. However our main courses were great for a Tex-mex spot. I loved the variety of sauce choices. I had an enchilada (not pictured) that was good but I would try something else next time. They have a decent Happy Hour selection and I think that will be my next visit to try some drinks! read more

My first experience with Chuy's was in Kansas City, MO and after a great experience there, I was thrilled to see them moving into the Columbus area. This was my first visit to their new Polaris location and I wasn't disappointed. The Tex-Mex was as good as I remembered from my visit to their Kansas City location last summer. We were there on a Monday evening so it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Our server, Bradley, said he was pretty new and was a little hesitant at first but soon found his groove and was an excellent server. Service overall was excellent -- starting with the hostesses at the front door, Bradley (our server) and the young lady who actually delivered the meals. The tortilla chips were exceptional. They're a bit lighter and crispier than some Mexican restaurants. The red salsa was a bit on the spicy side - much to my own liking but a bit too spicy for the wife. Bradley recommended the creamy jalapeno sauce and pointed out that it wasn't as spicy as it might sound being a jalapeno sauce. It was excellent. It had a nice jalapeno flavor without a lot of the heat. During happy hour (4-7 pm), the side-car, which is a "chips and salsa" bar in the back end of a car is complimentary. Chips, ground beef, queso, and red salsas, and refried beans. It lets you put together a nice "loaded" appetizer of chips. For dinner, my wife had the Chuychanga (one of their specialties) which was a flour tortilla filled with roasted chicken, cheese, cilantro & green chiles, deep-fried & served with sauce & sour cream. I opted for the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchilada which included roasted chicken & cheese with their Boom-Boom Sauce. Both of our meals were excellent. And -- the meals are all priced very reasonably. So, good service, great food and reasonably priced. read more

What a spicy addition to the Polaris food scene! And I do mean spicy. We are usually fine with a little heat, but both the free salsa (with nice light-tasting chips) and our two adult entrees were spicy enough to be off-putting for milder taste buds than ours. If you like it spicy, you'll love it! I had the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas and hubs had a steak burrito. Fresh, extremely flavorful and generous portions. Kiddo loved her kids cheese quesadilla and especially the Mac n cheese side. Kids can color a free coloring page to get $1 off their meal.
