    Taco kit! Feeds 4 people!

Yabo's Tacos are delicious, with many options and combinations of sauce. I'm a fan of the strawberry jalapeño and habanero! I love to order the meal kit. For $25, you get 12 tortillas (you pick corn/flour), your choice of meat, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and sauces. I added sides of black beans and rice with street corn for my vegetarian. Teenagers loved making tacos from the kit, and I had enough meat left over to make nachos the next day. Staff are friendly. I've never dined in here, but it seems like a nice stop with bar, TV's, etc.

Love their mini tacos, they are a great value at $2.50 each as well as the burrito bowl! They also have a great rotating beer selection and tasty margaritas!! Happy taco Tuesday!!

Nothing screams I want heat like a cold Christmas week. So here I am at Yabos again while finalizing my Christmas shopping. I have a feeling I should've gotten guac with my chips, but the salsa is good if not a tad spicy. Like I said, I need heat :). This trip, I got shrimp tacos, chicken, and steak. Something to relax with. New puppy shopping is hectic. Need bedding, good, toys, etc. So this is a welcome introduction. Now, as to the food: I'll agree with other reviewers, the chicken is a tad dry but not inedible. The shrimp tacos hit the spot, but the steak... Oh my Lord the steak was out of this world!! I don't know what the marinade was but it is the best I've ever had! I'm tempted to return for more after my trip to Meijer. I forgot to order the steak my usual medium rare, but I needn't have worried. It was the tenderest, most tasty piece of cow I think I have ever sank my teeth into. I was going to comment a little on the price of lunch, but I've paid more for less tasty steak at steakhouses. Will definitely return more often than annually, and I found a new favorite taco. For a bar, and not really authentic Mexican, these guys did the steak tacos justice.

I came here for lunch and it was a great experience! The staff is nice, the place is clean and the food is delicious. When you first walk in there are two sides to the restaurant(the desk to order for yourself or the bar side to get full-service). I dined in on the bar side and TJ was my server. He was very attentive. I ordered the Small Nacho($7), Steak Fajita Taco($5), and the Blackened Mahi Taco($5). They were all delicious but my favorite thing was the Nachos! I think they were the best Nachos I've ever had! I will definitely be back.

Yabo's Tacos has a couple of locations. This one is in Westerville on State Street. This is still the same weak drinks and shitty food though. It's not worth the costs. The service is slightly better at this location. I had the margarita and the vegetable tacos for happy hour. It was about $7 for the margarita. This was pathetic. It came in a tiny cup. There didn't seem to be much alcohol in it. It was bad but then there was the food. This was weak. It's about $1 for a taco on the special night or it's about $2 regular. This has no flavor without the sauce. It has to get the sauce to taste like anything. The sauce unfortunately is the only thing you can taste. It has the same drinks and food as the other location. It unfortunately tastes the same. The service is still rude there.

Man what a great establishment! Food is amazing and the GM DJ ensures that the staff takes amazing care of all their customers. They have one of the best beer selections on tap in Columbus! 5/5, 10/10, could not recommend more.

I had heard good things about Yabo's and it did not disappoint. Ended up here on date night and sat in the bar area at a high top. Bartender greeted us right away and let us know what domestic beer was on special - only $2 drafts! Perused the menu while munching on chips and salsa. The salsa was tasty. Some of the chips were overly seasoned/salted....I just avoided those. Ordered the baja traditional tacos, one ground beef, the other pulled pork. Tried several sauces and found that I am a huge fan of the Sissy Sauce. The ground beef taco was great. The pulled pork taco was even better. I will be ordering the pulled pork again next time. The bartender was timely with beer refills and delightfully pleasant. Also tried a tater tot and a burrito bite from the appetizer menu. Both were delicious. Will definitely be back again soon with the fam to eat in the main dining room.

Delicious food, kind of slow service. We came right in the middle of the lunch hour. Not very busy, so not sure why it took so long to get our order? Thankfully we weren't in a hurry, so we were able to enjoy. Wouldn't come if we were pressed for time.

Standard causal Mexican food place. Prices are a little high for what's on offer. Decent beer list, and local.

We were looking for a local taco restaurant for lunch one day and stumbled upon Yabo's. It was a nice surprise as it had a pretty impressive menu with creative items. Overall, it was delicious and made to order (which I like). I would've enjoyed more fresh vegetables in our meals, but the taste was great and the portion sizes were huge. They had a vide variety of hot sauce too! I'd rate Yabo's a 3.5 if possible.

If you like American tacos, then this would be your spot. Nothing authentic about yabos tacos. The Baja tacos have "pico de gallo" on top which mostly consists of all tomatoes and make everything super wet and the soft tacos become super soggy. Yuck. The sauces are horrible. Who puts feta cheese on tacos? The worst $12 I have spent on tacos. Ill stick to authentic tacos from taco trucks or actual mexican restaurants. And it is a taco joint...you have to pay for chips? Definitely must be American owned. Not even complimentary chips and salsa? Yea that told me enough even before my meal came out. Many people had salads, maybe a salad would have been better. Pulled pork and pulled beef had no flavor. Chicken was dry. Pork was fatty. The sauces were way to watery. I spent more time getting liquid off my hands and mouth than actually eating tacos. By far the WORST tacos i have ever had. And the prices are expensive for basic tacos.

Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. All were excellent and were attractively plated-- it wouldn't have mattered, but it was those little extras that really elevated the experience. We were also given a bowl of their latest salsa to try-- sweet and mildly spicy watermelon! We are regulars here and always enjoy the food and the pleasant ambiance, but this brunch was truly exceptional. We ended our meal with a plate of puffy Sopapillas with honey to share. This was different from most brunch items I tried but it was very good. The green chile pork had a bit of heat for me but I still enjoyed it. The tortillas, sauce and queso were all excellent. The restaurant looked like it had many rooms though so there could have been a few tables per room. Our waiter was prompt and got us taken care of right away. The menu did not have as many choices as other Mexican places. It had enchiladas, fajitas, tacos and burritos and chimichangas. I think they are known for their sauces. They had a lot of sauces from mild to spicy. The menu only had a front and back side and did not have what I was craving: Carne Asada. Most Mexican places have a menu with pages that flip. I was on a strict diet and it was hard to find something healthy. I got the fajita steak salad. I asked for dressing on the side and no cheese. My son and husband both got the Chuychanga which is their fried burrito. We also got an order of cheese dip. My salad came out with cheese in it...boo...but I picked it off. It did not look appealing but I was pleasantly surprised! Let me tell you that it was delicious!!! The dressing was so delicious as well, but the salad didn't need dressing. The steak was flavorful and I almost ate the whole thing. I also added the Fresca salsa as suggested by our waiter. I'm actually craving it right now! It's something I would order whether I'm on or off my diet. My husband and son loved their chimichangas or as it was called "Chuychangas". It wasn't as good as the one we had in Tucson but it was really good! Cheese dip was just ok, nothing to brag about. Our waiter was so good, quick and helpful. One friend ordered guac but he rang in queso and somehow we also ended up with another round of extra guac and queso right before our meals arrived. I ordered the steak salad, and my meal came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's. It was also in a different bowl than the others who had ordered the same salad, so that felt a little off. Restaurant was overly busy, we had to wait soooo long to be seated and the food took a long time to come out as well. The place was so busy! Busy is an understatement, it was jammed packed! My husband dropped me off to go put my name in because there was no parking. It was raining too; which made everyone crowd inside with no where to stand without impeding the staff. There were at least 6-10 people just standing around by the door and it was a very hectic scene! The phone rang non stop and there were 3 employees talking to 3 different people. This poor girl behind the counter looked like she wanted to quit her job and run out the door. I waited patiently watching the loud chaos unfold and had to finally get someone's attention to put my name in after 10 minutes. A very rude and tall lady who cut in front of everyone was going on and on about a specific waitress she wanted to serve a group. She kept talking and explaining how she wanted her dinning experience to be as if there was no one in line waiting. Everyone was gaving her a mean look, annoyed at her privileged behavior. After she was done, I asked how long was the wait and someone finally gave me an iPad where I was able to put in my name and phone number so they can text me when it my table was available. I was told the wait time was 40-45 minutes. We left and hurried back after 45 minutes. Once again, the place was packed. I was in the same chaotic predicament: pressed up against someone by the front door trying to get to the front; to talk to a staff. I tried to get someone's attention, anyone, and the employees were busy behind the counter, ignoring me. Finally, I asked in my loudest voice "how much longer is the wait?" She asked me my name and said I had 4 people ahead of me, it would have been 6 but 2 left and did not come back. I was floored! 4 parties ahead of me ??? That could mean an hour!!! I decided to patiently wait except It felt so crowded. There was a very large man standing by the door who blocked the whole door. There was really no where to stand and the fact that it was raining made it worse. There was a tent with a few tables they put up that took up 2 parking spots. I'm guessing it's for extra seating. We stood under the tent but it was also crowded and we were still in the way. I felt very claustrophobic! I was thinking in my head " I should have ordered to go", just then a gentleman who was waiting next to me asked how much longer was his to go order. He has waited over 30 mns. That squashed my previous thought completely! After 15 mns. They finally called my name! Yes!!! Thank goodness! We put I. Our order asap. I ordered a cheese dip and I got my usual "pollo à la diabla", and a margarita to drink; my son had pollo chimichangas with a horchata and my husband ordered what I got except he added watermelon flavor to his marg. The food was good. We asked for the secret spicy salsa from the back. The first time we asked the young chip guy and he said that this was the spicy salsa. It was zero inch spicy! We asked the waitress and she brought it out for us. It's very spicy and we love it! It has a smoky peppery taste. Our cheese dip was a bit runny. The pollo à la diabla is always a good solid choice. It wasn't as spicy as usual but still my favorite. My husband ordered a second watermelon margarita and it came out with a cute strawberry and sugar rim. Presentation was on point. It was just way too sweet and undrinkable. We had to send it back. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. She gave us keychains and my son got a juice box. That was a cute complimentary gift. I gave it 3 stars for the wait and chaos! They need to prepare better next year for a big crowd and a big waiting space: maybe a larger tent with free chips and salsa for the drinking patrons. People who want to come out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo shouldn't have to suffer and have a terrible dinning experience. There's got to be a solution to the craziness because this restaurant is always a 5 star. Well, lesson learned: I will probably not go out on Cinco de Mayo again. It's too crazy and chaotic. I can make tacos and margaritas at home.
