I typically don't order to go but I had eaten dinner at another spot and I just wanted something for a midnight snack. Chuy's is a quick and inexpensive restaurant that welcomes both families and groups of friends. The atmosphere is casual. My family and I often frequent Chuy's and we are rarely disappointed. We always begin our meal with the chips and salsa and the jalapeño ranch. The jalapeño ranch one of my favorite dipping daisies. My main meal is usually the Sopopilla Chicken (oven roasted with queso). Sopopilla Chicken is not on the menu and it is absolutely delicious! If you are not feeling adventurous, then the Tacos and Enchiladas or the Mexi Cobb salad are great choices. The Tres Leches is one of the best that I have had! read more

I drove all the way to Arlington just to end up with raw flour tortillas. They were so powdery...there was sandy-like grit everywhere...and I got it all over my hands. I knew something was off, just wasn't sure what. After my first fajita my mouth was filled with grit as well. After they brought me another batch of tortillas, I realized that the first ones they gave me were somehow uncooked or 'unprepared' I suppose. By then I lost my appetite, but the server was good. It wasn't his fault. But I feel a certain way about eating fresh yeast. Google said I won't die from it, so they get a pass. I will add however, every other experience that I've had at this location has been SUPERB. This was a one off. And this location to me, is definitely better than all the others in DFW. It's a mixed bag for me. The first time I ate here was amazing. The burrito was a good price and it was HUGE! But the second time I came, the burrito was nothing like the one I had before. It was a lot smaller. I also really like sour cream sauce on my burrito, but unfortuntely the sauce on my burrito did not taste like sour cream sauce and tasted... odd. Can't quite explain the taste. And to top it off, the burrito had bits of jalapeno in it, and I know for a fact the other burrito did not have that in it. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I can immediately tell when something is just slightly spicy. Overall the first time was amazing, second not so much. Sucks because my first experience with Chuy's really set a standard that the second visit missed the mark on. read more

Place name on wait list was told 30/35 min. Didn't receive a buzzer at first had to go back to get one after other ppl were placed on the list. After waiting 45 min outside, went inside to see how far down we were on the list and the list was no where to be found but was told a table wld be found for us. Waited 15 more min still no table but several parties that came after us had been seated. Went back in was told the same story so I asked them to look in the trash can and get the paper out and tell me how many ppl were in front of us. Could not produce the list or tell me how far down we were. We were immediately seated on the patio. Asked for a manager, he listened to our complain thn offered an appetizer. Not want I wanted. The staff here is incredible! I come here to do homework reasonably often (party of 1, please) and the staff treats me no differently than a party of greater size. Our first visit to this location. Waitress, Amy, was very efficient. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas were delicious as always. Chilis Rellenos were just ok. We've never been served this item with the seeds not removed and this serving was absolutely FULL of seeds! My hubby's still spitting seeds 15 minutes after leaving. We plan to call another location to ask if this is their normal recipe-- surely not! Hint: if you order the whole beans expect a lot of bell pepper and onion. The waitress began taking his order cut him off half way then went to help someone get alcohol down from the bar. Great food...awesome chips..they're the thin type! Salsa was really good. They let you choose the sauce you would like on your food instead of everyone getting red or chili. The only downside I found was I asked for the jalapeño ranch salsa on my veggie enchiladas and they just give you a bowl of COLD jalapeño salsa. Why?? Why?? Would you give me a cold sauce to put on my hot food?? I was perplexed...but never the less I just asked our server for some queso and it was an easy fix. Cute place and quick service. I've been to numerous restaurants in this chain and by far this location is the best. Our waitress knew all the meal options by heart and their ingredients. The food came fast and was totally on point. The drinks were strong and very tasty. We were sent home with extra creamy sauce but don't tell anyone. Lol read more

I have never had a problem here but yesterday (July 11th, 2021 around 1:30-2:30) our server Abby was pretty bad. I've dealt with some pretty crappy waiters before but this is only the second time in my life I've received what I consider to be bad service at a restaurant (enough to leave a review). We chalked it up to her being overworked on a busy Sunday but there's absolutely no reason to THROW things on the table when asked for them or have an attitude and be rude ESPECIALLY when we were not difficult or rude. The two people who brought our food and drinks out smiled and greeted us better in the 10 seconds it took for us to get our food than the entire time we sat at her table. I hate that she was only somewhat "friendly" when it was time to pay. I wish we could've been treated that way from the beginning. I usually love eating at this restaurant however this time the customer service from our server was TERRIBLE! Server wouldn't sell my 50 year old mother a drink because her ID was expired and wouldn't accept her paper ID because it wasn't "valid". I went to the bartender who gladly served me the drink for my mom, but our server went and got the manager and had the drink removed from our table. The server was rude and demeaning when speaking to us. We were so upset that we actually lost our appetites and got up and walked out without receiving our food. Finally made my way here! It was packed being over the Memorial Day Holiday. I guess I was not the only one wantng something other than Barbque. Since it was crowed our wait was about 20 mins. The time flew by as we sat and looked at all the decor that,was on display. They also have T-Shirts that you can purchased and they were selling right out the door. This is a family establishment so children are in the house. That is not big deal to me as it reminds me of family time. We finally were able to be seated they took us towards the back towards the restroom. Of course that was a no GO... So we asked to be seated else where. They immediately sat us at another table. First off we tried the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom it was spicy and since I like spicy it was a hit for me. We ordered the appetizer that had a little of everything on it. It was so yummy and filling we questioned our main meal. We ordered the Bigger than your face Burrito. It was just that......bigger than your face. We got a free queso for telling them it was out first time here. So of course queso it is on my Burrito. (Chicken) I had a very good Margarita and it was point with the liqour. So good! I'm picky with Tex Mex and this place is my jam. The jalapeño ranch dip is incredible and the chips are fresh. Homemade tortillas, fresh tomato salsa. The style is quirky and weird. I loved this place in Austin so I was happy to see it come to Arlington since I'm up here pretty often. The actual dishes themselves are quite good, and the servings are very big. Don't forget to order the queso--one of the best around. I rarely can finish my plate when I go to Chuy's and I have a pretty large appetite; so if you're on a date (and you two have already passed the I have to impress her stage), one appetizer and one entree between the both of you should be plenty of food. Their complementary chips were thin and crispy (barely salted -huge plus for me!) and the salsa had a lovely bite to it. Most salsas requires extra heat for for me but this one had enough bite to bite me back. Mmmm sexy. The queso was great. It was the familiar kind. Not all gourmet and weird. Simple queso that resembled freaking queso. Oh and their guac. I would gladly eat that with a spoon with a side of chips. That guac alone was the star appetizer. My entree was alright. It was exactly what I was imagining. I had ordered the vegetarian enchilada. I was hoping the roasted/grilled veggies would stand out more but it was a little outdone by the cheese. Regardless of my complaints, I finished my plate. I'm not super crazy about their refried beans but I would definitely go with the charro beans. I didn't want to be too musical that night so I left my beans half eaten. ;) Everything else looked really good. The fajitas smelled wonderful. The quesadillas were cute. And the margaritas were strong. I didn't have a taste but after one goblet, my dad was quite buzzed. The service was awesome. They were efficient without seeming pushy and they were very attentive. My first Tex Mex and my first time in Texas with Elite Yelper Tiffany D and her family. Service: After we were sat down, the server brought out chips before taking our drink orders. After our bringing out our drinks, he took 8 orders all by memory and made no mistakes. He also refilled our drinks when they were only half full. Service gets +1 star. Food: The tortilla chips were perfect and exactly how I like them: thin, crispy and not salty. The guac and queso dip were fantastic. I ordered the deluxe quesadilla while Tiffany D. ordered the veggie enchilada (see photos). The quesadilla had a bit too much cheese but overall great. The veggie quesadilla had plenty of flavor and wrapped in blue tortilla. Food gets +1 star. Environment: We went on a Tuesday night so there was plenty of tables available. The noise level was not too loud where we had to yell to place our order. Plenty of parking spaces too and there's a Pinkberry nearby! Overall the restaurant appeared tidy and clean. +1 star. So Ive been here multiple times. Its a really cool place. The servers are usually real fun and dont seem all depressed and soulless and without personality. I think personalty is a requirement to work here. My daughter works here. Shes cool. I love a place that allows you to wear jeans, thirsts, tattoos and piercings and blue hair. Anyways, the food isnt all that great but its certainly edible. I usually only go here if Im planning to have margaritas. Theyre good for some dranks! They have this creamy jalapeno ranch dip that makes ya wanna slap ya mama. Your OWN mama. Only the super secret cool people know of this so youll have to request it. Your welcome. Basically, the food is meh but its a fantastic spot for happy hour. I think my favortie meal is the steak burrito with hatch sauce. That sauce is hauuuuuuuuuuuuut!~ get it on anything. The food at Chuy's always seems to be pretty good, I haven't had anything bad here. You can sit in the bar area if you don't mind tiny tables to avoid a wait, and there you refill your own chips/salsa, but both are pretty good. I actually like it more like 4-stars worth but we had a bad experience while trying to feed my brother: On the phone they claimed to have a gluten-free menu but when we got there, the "gluten free menu" had two entrees: Veggie enchiladas with no sauce and a chicken salad minus the chicken (and maybe dressing? I forget). So if you're some kind of strange human who doesn't need protein in their supper, maybe it's ok, but my brother isn't. They won't even vouch for their corn chips, which have no reason to contain wheat flour. So if you are looking for a Celiac's Disease-friendly place, don't believe the guy on the phone that says that there's a GF menu, there isn't. read more
