We went to Chuy's on a friday evening after work w/ my friends from work, walked right in at 5:30 and it was a little busy but we didn't mind sitting out on the heated patio and we got right in. We had an amazing server, Kelsee she hooked a sista up! I know I'm a picky eater but she definately got my order correct with all my modifications~! I loved how they had a Nacho Bar, where you can choose chips, different kind of salsas, queso cheese, beans and beef. It was friday and they were busy so they needed to have it more stocked up, it was a little empty, but non the less our server refilled our chips even at the table with out asking. Just as a forewarning, there isn't a lot of tex-mex that I like. As a matter of fact, I loathe it. I love Mexican, and grew up eating the authentic stuff because my best friend's mom is a magnificent cook (best rice and beans forever). Chuy's beans taste canned. The rice is dry and flavorless. It's all pretty classic tex-mex and if that's what floats your boat, more power to you. Two stars because I liked the guacamole and the watermelon margarita. Decent. Nothing outstanding. Chips were cold, and menu is a bit cluttered and hard to read. Should be more streamlined. A lot of the menu items seem to almost be duplicates of each other. Food was decent, service was average, and the place always feels uneasy and crowded. Nothing horrible, just not a place and area I frequent much. Place name on wait list was told 30/35 min. Didn't receive a buzzer at first had to go back to get one after other ppl were placed on the list. After waiting 45 min outside, went inside to see how far down we were on the list and the list was no where to be found but was told a table wld be found for us. Waited 15 more min still no table but several parties that came after us had been seated. Went back in was told the same story so I asked them to look in the trash can and get the paper out and tell me how many ppl were in front of us. Could not produce the list or tell me how far down we were. We were immediately seated on the patio. Asked for a manager, he listened to our complain thn offered an appetizer. Not want I wanted. The staff here is incredible! I come here to do homework reasonably often (party of 1, please) and the staff treats me no differently than a party of greater size. Casey's service is always impeccable, ask for him! Also- the hosts are so nice and accommodating, particularly Toni (give this man a raise, he deserves it!) Our first visit to this location. Waitress, Amy, was very efficient. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas were delicious as always. Chilis Rellenos were just ok. We've never been served this item with the seeds not removed and this serving was absolutely FULL of seeds! My hubby's still spitting seeds 15 minutes after leaving. We plan to call another location to ask if this is their normal recipe-- surely not! Hint: if you order the whole beans expect a lot of bell pepper and onion. My husband went to this locations yesterday (which we visit frequently) to order a meal to go. He was greeted when he walked in. The waitress began taking his order cut him off half way then went to help someone get alcohol down from the bar. Great food...awesome chips..they're the thin type! Salsa was really good. They let you choose the sauce you would like on your food instead of everyone getting red or chili. The only downside I found was I asked for the jalapeño ranch salsa on my veggie enchiladas and they just give you a bowl of COLD jalapeño salsa. Why?? Why?? Would you give me a cold sauce to put on my hot food?? I was perplexed...but never the less I just asked our server for some queso and it was an easy fix. Cute place and quick service. I've been to numerous restaurants in this chain and by far this location is the best. Our waitress knew all the meal options by heart and their ingredients. The food came fast and was totally on point. The drinks were strong and very tasty. We were sent home with extra creamy sauce but don't tell anyone. Lol read more

I have never had a problem here but yesterday (July 11th, 2021 around 1:30-2:30) our server Abby was pretty bad. I've dealt with some pretty crappy waiters before but this is only the second time in my life I've received what I consider to be bad service at a restaurant (enough to leave a review). We chalked it up to her being overworked on a busy Sunday but there's absolutely no reason to THROW things on the table when asked for them or have an attitude and be rude ESPECIALLY when we were not difficult or rude. The two people who brought our food and drinks out smiled and greeted us better in the 10 seconds it took for us to get our food than the entire time we sat at her table. I hate that she was only somewhat "friendly" when it was time to pay. I wish we could've been treated that way from the beginning. I understand being irritated about your job but don't be rude to us especially if we are not rude to you. read more

At an establishment that has long wait times and typically seating thousands of patrons on busy weekends, why in the hell is there no option for reservations or call ahead seating??? I usually love eating at this restaurant however this time the customer service from our server was TERRIBLE! Server wouldn't sell my 50 year old mother a drink because her ID was expired and wouldn't accept her paper ID because it wasn't "valid". I went to the bartender who gladly served me the drink for my mom, but our server went and got the manager and had the drink removed from our table. The server was rude and demeaning when speaking to us. We were so upset that we actually lost our appetites and got up and walked out without receiving our food. So good! I'm picky with Tex Mex and this place is my jam. The jalapeño ranch dip is incredible and the chips are fresh. Homemade tortillas, fresh tomato salsa. The style is quirky and weird. We stopped at a couple other places in Arlington to eat and were met with over 1.5 hour wait times. We swung by Chuy's and expected more of the same. To our surprise they were able to seat us right away. We soon realized how. Our whole experience lasted a total of 25 minutes. Our server, Nygil, was absolutely awesome. He must have been to our table at least a dozen times in those 25 minutes but not in a bad way, we never realized he was there. Someone should give this guy a raise! Our food beat our margaritas out but not because the bar was slow. The kitchen was just super fast! The food was hot and delicious and the margaritas were great as well! Finally made my way here! It was packed being over the Memorial Day Holiday. I guess I was not the only one wantng something other than Barbque. Since it was crowed our wait was about 20 mins. The time flew by as we sat and looked at all the decor that,was on display. They also have T-Shirts that you can purchased and they were selling right out the door. This is a family establishment so children are in the house. That is not big deal to me as it reminds me of family time. We finally were able to be seated they took us towards the back towards the restroom. Of course that was a no GO... So we asked to be seated else where. They immediately sat us at another table. First off we tried the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom it was spicy and since I like spicy it was a hit for me. We ordered the appetizer that had a little of everything on it. It was so yummy and filling we questioned our main meal. We ordered the Bigger than your face Burrito. It was just that......bigger than your face. We got a free queso for telling them it was out first time here. So of course queso it is on my Burrito. (Chicken) I had a very good Margarita and it was point with the liqour. By far the best service I've ever gotten at a Chuy's. Bryan was our Server (he mentioned he's also the Bartender) and I honestly couldn't have asked for better service! Talk about being on top of it and making sure everything was perfect along with keeping our drinks full. It was busy in there and we were a group of 10.
