After tasting these hot and fresh churros, you can never go back to the frozen ones. $10/bag for 6 long pieces. We came on Sat midday for post-lunch treat, no line. Sometimes I see line of 5ish people. We downed it while standing on sidewalk. Next time I need to bring chocolate sauce another Yelper suggested!

Warm, golden, and perfectly crisp churros coated in sweet cinnamon sugar!

Amazingly crunchy, golden & fresh off the fryer! Perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft fluffy center coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. I came on a Saturday afternoon, quick service with a steady crowd. It is located next to a parking lot where you can enjoy your fresh, hot churros! $10 for about 6-7 pieces!

No wait. Hot bag of $10 churros good for 4 people! Not too oily and a good amount of cinnamon and sugar

Gustavo makes amazing churros! They're fresh and hot. He does take cash and Zelle. I have been to many churro stands in the bay looking for authentic tasting churros that remind me of my homeland, and this is the spot that makes them legit!

The listed hours are unreliable. Sometimes he's there, sometimes he's not. But if you're lucky to catch him, these are the best churros in the bay! $10 a bag. I think you get like 6-7 pieces. Went at around 7:40 on a Friday night and there were 3 people ahead of me. It came out pretty quick though. Churros are doughy on the inside. Best eaten hot but also yummy once cooled down. A staple in Hayward. Also lots of parking available.

The best churros ever! The crispy crunchy sugar cinnamony dessert was to die for! Just a guy making churros, it can get busy. I bought a bag for $10. Worth every bite! Make sure you bring a hat, it can get hot depending the time of day you go... and if you're waiting for a fresh batch!

Amazing, friendly and Oscar made us a fresh crisp one. We love Churros, and Costco discontinued and replaced with cookies. Bad idea. Churros brings me back to Mexico cruise vacations Closed every Mondays,

Was lucky to catch Oscar selling churros today around 2pm. There was a 20 min wait since he wasn't here yesterday (he was booked for party) but it was worth it. Oscar was nice as always and the churros were amazing. $10 a bag, he accepts cash and Zelle as people have mentioned in reviews before.

Opens at 5pm, line already at 4:30pm being 90 degrees outside
    Kevin P.

Came here at opening and there was already a line. Hours a very odd, but it's to be expected with a pop up business. $10 get you a bag of churros and believe me, you'd want to come back to get a second bag. If you come at opening, the oil is clean and clear!

We won, we got those churros

    Ask the Community - Churros

Can someone please post the hours or confirm the hours as of March 25, 2023? I see all kinds of hours on the reviews but some are way back from 2019. Would be great to know for sure as it seems like the Yelp hours aren't correct. Thanks!

According to a November 20, 2023, San Francisco Chronicle article, the hours are from noon to 5:30 p.m. (or until sold out). The telephone number is 510-472-4895.…

    He is there today? 3/23/23?

    Not there 😤

Does anyone know how I could contact them?

Does anyone know if he's out there rn?

    Yes. Right now

Are the times posted accurate? It looks like In the reviews some people are going at noon?

Does anyone have contact information for him?

No contact info but you can speak to him when he's there. He's friendly and understand English. He's usually there on good weather days from 1-5p everyday until he's finished.

What are his hours of operation? I'm craving these churros.

I just talked to the guy. He said M-F he starts at 2pm until he finishes. Sat-Sun he starts at 11am until he finishes. He sometimes stays until 8pm but depends on whether he runs out early or not.

If I'm being totally honest, the line moves quite slowly, since everything is made to order. From the side of the road, the trompo with the al pastor was the main attraction, with a giant flame roaring on one side. For that reason, I opted for three al pastor tacos, even though my other favorites -- cabeza and lengua, were available as well. A sweet slice of grilled pineapple is included with all of the al pastor tacos and toppings -- like diced onions, cilantro, radishes, and salsas are all self-serve after you pay. If you ask for your tacos to-go, they'll wrap them up on some aluminum foil. Since the stall is on the sidewalk of an intersection, there's really no place to eat the tacos other than the Target parking lot behind the taco stand. The tacos here are solid, but perhaps a bit pricey, at $4 each. Each taco is doubled up on tortillas. The al pastor tacos I had were well-seasoned, had a wonderful smokey, char flavor, and were really nicely crisped up. Although I didn't personally order one, I saw that the burritos here are absolutely massive. Surprisingly, the taco stand only takes credit card. If you try to pay with cash, the woman handling the check-out process will explain that she does not have any change available. Additionally, although there is a list of meats that are available, there is no menu, nor any prices listed. Overall, tasty tacos, but the experience could've been better overall.

I decided to track my steps and it was actually a quarter mile in an oval shape. One and they had an information booth as well as a live band, at the other oval end they had some volunteers making/designing your own reusable bag- such a cute way to give back to the community. Apparently this farmers market is going plastic free soon! All defenders seem to have their own price margins and one vendor was selling each bundle of herbs for a dollar. Sadly, she was all out of basil, but had a bunch of mint, lemon leaves, and tarragon or some other parsley type leaf that I've smelled before, but never have tried to cook with. Most thunders had prices by the pound, some vendors had pre-bagged vegetables for five dollars. I've been to the San Jose farmers market and they have basically the same vendors, but their bags are three dollars a bag instead of five. A handful of the vendors here did state they were California certified Organic or USDA Organic, but it didn't seem like they washed their fruit off after they picked it. Lol just interesting to me on the presentation since their root vegetables had mud on them. I'm sure they taste good but presentation means a lot to me. Hee Nevertheless, I bought a handful of different vegetables and this delicious onion bread from a local Italian gentleman who actually makes pesto without nuts so that he's not free bakery and he can cater to those people with nut allergies!! It's a local vendor, so please check them out! I wouldn't mind checking out this farmers market again, but I'll probably go just before closing since I know they give better discounts then 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning. Hee

Perhaps it was the hunger and the smell of grilled meat in the air, or that the bright yellow oven was steaming and the sweetness of fresh roasted corn aroma was my calling, but it called and I came. The menu was simple: Baked Potato (5) Roasted Corn (2.5) Lemonade/Pink Lemonade (2) Water/Soda (1) +(.5) for any additional potato toppings. That corn is so special because it's just slow roasting in that giant, yellow oven so old school and classic, where you know that's why the food is some delicious. Their famous corn should be topped with: salt, butter, cheese, chile, lemon and mayonnaise. I'm not a huge mayonnaise so I skipped that, but the rest melted all into a buttery drizzle went perfectly with the corn. They don't have the butter out, so let them know you want butter with your corn. Plus, the corn is ON the cob! The potato is amazing. It's huge so huge it's about twice the size of a regular sized person's fist. It's baked and the skin is crispy. Meaty potato loaded on top with different cheeses, salt, butter, green onions, bacon bits, sour cream and jalapenos. It's the perfect hotness and they wrap it up beautifully for you. I'm not even sure if these words should be used to describe food, but I am and they can because I have no other words. Must come try the baked potato because you won't regret it. Absolutely delicious and makes me love farmer's market to discover food vendors that you can't have every day. The lemonade isn't bad and not overly sticky or sweet. The pink one is always better! If you ever swing by the San Leandro's FM, this is the one stop that you should duck into for a second to indulge yourself-never had a better baked potato. Plus, it well worth that five bucks you have. The carbs are worth it because an extra hour at the gym won't kill.
