I was horrified when I got home with my box of chicken. The bag was full of oil and the box was so saturated that it fell apart. I wanted to try the new spicy chicken and it was awful. It tasted like someone re-dipped the cooked chicken in hot oil and sprinkles seasoning salt all over it. It was not edible at all, and I was very disappointed, I have never had chicken this bad before. Literally if I did not have weathertech mats my floor would have been ruined. I had not had Church's Chicken in a long time as we don't have any in NYC (that I know of) anymore. This used to be some really good chicken but I was very disappointed. The chicken was horrible! My sides was cole slaw and mac & cheese, I can only assume that there was some macaroni under all that cheese sauce. The cole slaw was just okay. I tossed it all. Four out of the last six times our order has been incorrect. A customer should not have to disassemble our order on the counter to check for accuracy before we lThis problem has become the norm instead of the exception. Food: probably on the lower end of the fast food chicken choices, but it's actually not bad. A bit greasy, but that's expected I suppose. They also offer some innovative items like tenders that are fried in biscuit batter. Those are good! Interior: tables are clean. That's about it. The floor needs a good mopping, the bathrooms need to be redone. I imagine the cooking area could probably use a good scrub down as well. Staff: friendly. Could be better trained. I can't expect a lot from a chain chicken place so I'm not rating this high because it's top notch, but it for what it is, they have really good fried chicken! It's crispy on the outside and really soft n the inside and juicy! The biscuits are so soft and good! read more

One week later: I was sitting in the parking lot of Captain D's, talking on the phone and watching the traffic when I decided that there were entirely too many people in the place. So I rolled over to Church's. This visit, the place was surprisingly busy. I ordered one of the $3.29 special shrimp baskets that were advertised on the sign out front and on TV. Horrible. I got the dregs of what they had on the steam table...about 1/4 of my shrimp was actually fried okra, and none of it was very fresh. The fries were limp and I didn't get many of those, either. The picture above shows it exactly as it was presented to me on my tray. Slung over to one side, the combo of fries, a piddling amount of shrimp, and the included (albeit unordered) fried okra barely filled half of the tiny paper basket. Seriously, $3.29 is cheap, but I didn't perceive what I got as worthy of that small sum. I could have had three McDoubles or two cheeseburgers for less than I paid for this joke of a "meal." I previously said that I would have rather paid $2 less than the fish and shrimp basket that I had on my last visit. I paid $2 less on _this_ visit, yet what I got was still worth $2 less than what I got. Maybe that's the business plan, or maybe that's a lesson in not ordering seafood in a chicken joint. After giving Churches Chicken the boot for selling me RAW chicken strips, I decided to give them another try. I ordered garlic shrimp, fries and a lemon fried pie. The restaurant was very slow, so there was no excuse to pass soggy fries, cold shrimp, and a soggy pie. I questioned the cashier about my order however, she was more concerned talking to the other person in the back. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I love this place but went at 545pm and wanted a 20 piece spicy dark only and the kitchen hadn't even dropped any. The cashier said full time. I asked what that means they said 18 minutes. It's dinner time and they didn't even have it cooking. I settled for regular because my family was at home waiting on me to come home with dinner. We were looking for a snack my husband ordered a $5.00 box and I ordered the chicken fried steak. The box came with a honey butter dipping sauce my husband could have used for shots. My chicken fried steak was hot when it came to the table and stayed warm until the last bite. Kaci who was on the front line-was friendly, took our with out error and delivered it to our table with a smile. Will come back next time we are in Milton. read more

Ordered a family mix box of chicken with (EXTRA) sauces, we asked for all the sauces they provided and of course expected to pay extra if necessary. The person taking our order was very passive aggressive and just sounded like they were having a bad day. We gave them a dollar tip because, why not, at the window and they gave us the most irritated face the entire time, not even a thank you. We checked to see if there was sauce in the bag after pulling out of the drive thru (that was a big thing we asked for while ordering at least 4 times so they got it) but there wasn't a single pack. I went back inside to get some sauce and the lady at the front gave me the dirtiest look and gave me two little packs of ranch, (I asked for BBQ) and she walked off and talked to her coworkers before I could say anything else. I was being extremely nice fyi. My brother was irritated and went in to get more sauce and they gave him some crazy attitude and started arguing that we need to pay for sauce, as if we didn't ask for it 4 times to begin with at the beginning of the order. Like we gave you a dollar tip, not saying that's a lot but come on the least you could do is give us some sauce like damn take it out of the tip if you're gonna be so rude. They all started yelling at my brother and making unnecessary comments. We do continue to come back, but can't stand going inside!I feel bad for the employees! The place is run down and needs lots of TLC! It's needing a good cleaning inside and out! I never want to go in because of how nasty it is. The bathroom smells like someone died. The registers are dusty and dirty! Don't out your purse on the counter, or anything else for that matter. Food on the floors and evidently, the pipes are backing up in the back. The company needs to put more energy and attention into the facility! Help the employees help themselves when it comes to having pride in your work area. I dont know how they pass inspection. Oh ya, they clean for those, but on a normal day, they aren't. I am sick of them getting my order messed up. I live 18 miles north of milton on highway 90. This churches never gets my order right, they always leave something out and if you go to the drive thru , you have to repeat yourself 5 times. I am sick of them leaving something out like to day . COB sauce i told her 3 times and i needed sweet and low. You can inside and they still mess it up, it is usually the chicken. I triedcalling them and they will not anwser the phone. Not worth the wait! The new place in town is always packed and after eating the food today I do not understand why. We ordered the 16 piece meal that comes with 3 large sides and 8 biscuits. We ordered two mashed potatoes and one red beans and rice. We got three mashed potatoes. Two with gravy on the side which we asked for and one with gravy on the potatoes. Then We said we had ordered red beans and rice, they did give us the red beans and rice. We got home and found we only got six biscuits when we should have got 8. No, No, NO. We popped in the store after shopping nearby, as parents wanted some chicken at home. Not busy place at the time we were there, placed order and waited and watched as people who came in after us ordered and were served. We just wanted 2, 2-piece chicken with biscuit meals. We see all this chicken piled up, and we are still not getting our order, while the workers are clucking and laughing like not a care in the world.
