Love Love LOVE! Obsessed is an understatement! The shop is simple inside and it's a quick eats/ take out spot. Their menu is simple, Korean corn dogs with different interiors. Can either be with sausage, just cheese, half and half, squid ink, jalapeno, the list goes on! You order at the counter, grab your receipt for your number to be rung up and grab your food! I always opt for the jumbo Korean corn dog, my all time favourite! You can't forget the amount of sauces they have in store as well. But the must get topping/ sauce is definitely sugar. Trust me on this, get the sugar and ask for extra! I also always get ketchup and spicy mayo as well. Tip: make sure to ask for your sauces on the side if you're not eating it right away, so that your corn dog doesn't get soggy! All their corn dogs are 10/10! Super crispy exterior and event better insides!

Such a fun and delicious snack! I was never a fan of corn dogs but these were so delicious, very different from a pogo. I always get the half cheese and half pogo as I find the full cheese one to be a little too heavy. There are a variety of toppings and sauces you can choose from, I recommend adding potato to the outside which makes it a whole different experience. Usually this location is super packed depending on the time you come, so prepare to wait a bit.

Part 6 of my series called eating through the GTA. TL/DR: If you watched viral videos during the pandemic and craved a Korean-style hot dog this is a must try. I highly encourage you experiment with the different sauces and get something with cheese (great cheese pull)! Service: Friendly and willing to answer our questions, I wish there was more input when it came to recommendations or suggestions. Ambience: This location was relatively small. There's not ample seating or areas where you can bring a large group with you to eat. The location was clean and well lit. Food: Note this was my first time trying a Korean-style hot dog. After talking to the staff there we decided to order 1 original, 1 gamsung, and 1 half-mozzarella. Elite tip: if this is your first time go to their website and think about different sauce combinations and toppings you'd like to try. If you're indecisive or not sure it can be a little overwhelming. The exterior for all three of our dogs were excellent. It's fried in a glutinous rice batter so the texture isn't like that of an "American style corn dog." Instead, you get this great crispy exterior with chunks of potato that provide even more texture, a soft interior with a great chew that comes from glutinous rice products. The hotdogs themselves were fine. Nothing that is life shattering or game changing. The original is beef, gamsung is beef + chicken, and the half mozzarella is 1/2 cheese and 1/2 beef. What really makes these hot dogs great are the topping choices and the sauces! I love sweet potato so I picked that as my topping. I also enjoyed their honey butter, sweet mayo, and sweet chili! You have so many combinations to pick from but I chose fewer items this time around just to get a better idea of a baseline. I would absolutely go again to try some more combinations but I would probably bring a friend who also knows what sauces and toppings complement each other best.

I'll give this place a generous 3.5 stars. My friends ordered through Skip the Dishes which...for these? I don't recommend. We wound up with a bike courier and it took way longer than it should've to arrive...Having them fresh is the best way to experience it! I tried the regular and sweet potato half mozzarella dogs, and they were filling! I got two just in case, but one was PLENTY. The cheese was still warm enough to pull out and that's half the fun of these things! Definitely will be back to try more varieties...but in person!

Located at midland and finch, this korean style pogo which uses rice flour has been serving up delicious hot dogs on a stick for a while. Parking is plentiful. The hype has definitely come down a bit but I feel like there's always customers still. Food: Original - definitely recommend this if it's your first time. The hot dog is nothing special but the rice flour casing has a really nice crunch and chew. Add to this delicious toppings like honey butter or chili sauce, and you've got a delicious treat. The combinations of sauces is probably never ending. They do recommend adding a bit of sugar which I totally agree with in addition to other sauces you want to try. We also got three potato covered dog. It makes for a great visual but the potatoes aren't seasoned so you definitely need to add sauce to give it flavor. If you're looking for something more filling - definitely try the potato covered one. Price: Starts at around 5$ and goes up depending on the type of rice dog you get. It's a nice treat and they do it well.

I've been to a few chung chun locations and most of my experiences have been pretty consistent (which is great!). The north york location has always been one of the busiest and I was glad this one in Scarborough wasn't busy as I went during the day (I know it usually gets a little crazy during the evening on a weekend) I've been meaning to try out the volcano dog as a lot of people were raving how amazing it was but every time I went they've sold out (especially the NY location). I usually get the half cheese/half hotdog and this time I finally was able to try the volcano! My usual toppings consists of ketchup, honey mustard and spicy mayo. Batter on both dogs were golden and crispy. I personally thought the spice on the volcano dog doesn't hit you at first but after a few bites you feel it (loved it!) but do wish there was cheese in it (I love cheese). The cheese/hotdog as usually was super cheesy, crispy on the outside and one of my safest option because you can't really go wrong with it! Definitely a good recommendation for those who haven't tried k-dogs before.

Omg. I'm salivating just thinking about the rice dogs here. It was a Saturday evening and we stopped by for a late night snack. The half mozzarella hot dog with ketchup and honey mustard on top was the perfect snack. The batter is light and not too greasy. Crispy on the outer and juicy inside. Next time around I'd want to try it with toppings (saw many people who added potato). The only problem with this location is that the wait was long - more than 20 minutes for just a single dog - and there is no seating. So, you can either have your dog in the parking lot or in your car (which is what I did lol).

This was my first time getting a Korean rice dog so I wasn't sure what the expect. The service was pretty efficient and there's a sign outside that displays the order number ready for pickup. I'm a big fan of sweet potato so I ordered the Sweet Potato Hotdog. There was a massive amount of sauces available so I look forward to trying lots of them. From the first bite I was immediately impressed. The sweet potato on the outside was crispy and delicious while the inside was soft and chewy, creating a great combination of textures. The chipotle sauce we got was really nice too. This was a quick and fun snack so I'll definitely be returning here!

I love hot dogs. I love food on sticks. By extension, I love Korean hot dogs because they are on sticks. For the past year, I have been dropping by Chung Chun's North York location to get my hot dog fix. When I learned that this Scarborough location had opened up, I was thrilled. It takes me roughly ten minutes to get here and I seem to drop by this plaza monthly for something. This store used to be Happy Lemon. Although in sad about it closing for good, I'm happy that Chung Chun has set up shop here. The problem? This place is always busy. I would get here and there'd be many people lined up outside. Being the patient person that I am, I waited for months. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after my experience at Beyond Monet, I was beyond hungry. I had a hankering for hot dogs and thought of checking this place out on my way home. I'm glad that I did. I arrive at around 8:30 pm. This plaza was super busy. Chung Chun Rice Dog was not. Yay! There was only one person ahead of me. I checked out the menu while in line. The chocolate hot dog was new to me. I knew that I needed a dessert one. I had a helpful woman taking my order. I got four hot dogs, which tends to be my usual quantity: - Chocolate - Mozzarella - Ramen chip - Squid ink I paid with my debit card. It was seamless. I got a receipt with an order number and patiently waited for my food. I probably waited for at least ten minutes. Another woman said that my order was ready. She asked what seasonings I wanted on my hot dogs. I got spicy mayo on the ramen chip and parmesan on the squid ink hot dog. I thanked her and headed to my car to eat. Although I love all hot dogs at this place, my all-time favourite is the ramen chip. There is something amazing with crispy ramen around the rice batter. It's doubly crispy, and I enjoy the contrast in texture and sound. The dog has cheese housed in the top and hot dog below. It all works. Add spicy mayo and it's a whole new level of yumminess. Delicious! I then had the mozzarella hot dog. I was hungry! The cheese pull was insane. I didn't take any photos of it because it just kept on stretching and I had quite the time controlling all of it. It's fun to eat, especially when it comes hot from the fryer. Similar to the ramen chip hot dog, the cheese is in the top portion and the hot dog is in the bottom part. The following day, I had the squid ink and chocolate dogs. The squid ink is so fun to eat. I love the hot dog tentacles at the bottom. It also has cheese in it. The chocolate dog is all chocolate inside. It's not overly sweet. I dig it. I love the new packaging in a compact box. It used to be in a massive box. Yay to less packaging! I'm so happy that I got my fix. I can't wait to return for more. (334)

It's an interesting corn dog for those who are interested or likes can't dogs. The rice cake corn dog was multiple PCs of hot dog, rice cake skewer wrapped in the batter and then deep fried. The ramen corn dog was the hot dog wrapping batter and then a layer of ramen then deep fried. The thickness of the batter is not as thick as regular ones which is good. Rice cake corn dog for me the batter was a little thicker because of how the rice cake was a lot of carbs and a more carbs on the outside. Wait time for these are a little longer than expected 10- 15 minute wait time.

I've had their corndogs at another location and absolutely loved it! They have an extensive menu and I always wanted to try their other flavours but unfortunately, the location close to me always have long lineups no matter the time of day! So when I went to grab a drink with my friend and saw that there's only a few people outside their location, I went to lineup! I finally got to try their squid ink corndog and my friend got the ramen dog! They are so delicious and super cheesy! The cheese pull is just crazy! If Giannis thinks pogo sticks is one of the best food in America, wait until he tries this!!

Can get very busy, depending on the day. You order at the counter, wait outside for your number to come up, then go back in for pick up, while choosing a topping if you want. And while there can be line to order, it generally moves pretty quick. Ordered a few to share. I liked the Squid Ink-Cheese Hotdog the most. Had a bit of everything (though the ink itself really has no taste). I thought the Potato one could have been a bit crunchier. Overall not too expensive. A fun snack.
