I stopped by Chun Yang Tea while in the area, hearing how they were serving a great selection of drinks. I ordered: +the Honey Osmanthus Tea - this was watered down, and there was no taste of the honey; the tea didn't seem to have been steeped properly, which really doesn't make any sense for a tea-centric place +and, the Smoke Plum Lemonade - this literally tasted like BBQ sauce, but in a gross way; such an awful drink! It's not even a taste that you could adjust to - this drink was tossed The drinks were just disappointing - not sure what people are on, but this place ain't it. In addition, the drinks do take a while to be prepared. Staff were friendly, and there's limited seating inside. +awful drinks +limited seating +friendly staff

One of my top 5 favorite boba/tea spots of all time Had their Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea and it was spectacular. Very authentic flavors and had a rich tea flavor. The staff was also friendly. It was a bit difficult to find at first since it's in sort of a mall. It's also not too sweet which is great as they recommend 0% sugar and only honey for the sweetness.

The Lychee Oolong Tea with Ayu Jelly is the drink to get. When all your friends agree that you got the best drink, you know you hit the jackpot. With a plethora of bubble tea options in Flushing, we decided on Chun Yang because it was close by and we wanted fruit tea. While located in one of those buildings with multiple shops, Chun Yang wasn't hard to find. Lucky for me and my friends, we didn't have to wait to order. We did see a line form after we got our drinks though. My friends ordered the Raspberry Oolong and the Kiwi Yakult Drink with Ayu Jelly while I ordered the Lychee Oolong with Ayu Jelly. It didn't take long for our drinks to come out and we got one of the tables in Chun Yang's sitting area to enjoy our drinks. The sitting area had several tables and was pretty spacious considering most bubble tea spots I go to are grab and go. Taste-wise, the fan favorite was the Lychee Oolong with Ayu Jelly because it was not too sweet but still fragrant and fruity with a clear taste of the oolong. The ayu jelly worked well with the oolong and was the perfect jelly texture. The Raspberry Oolong tasted pretty average and the Kiwi Yakult was interesting but not something I would get regularly. While our drinks were a mixed bag, I'm willing to come back and try other flavors since I really liked the Lychee Oolong. It's also nice that there are several tables so you're likely to get a table where you can sit in the AC on a hot day while enjoying your ice cold drink. Just wish they had a bathroom.

Mango coconut sago 9/10 but honestly 10/10 will come back for it!! Sooo good We tried a bunch of different places around NYC for mango sago and I will say this by far is the best. The other places layer it so that the sago gets so cold it's crunchy but the way this place layers it, the sago is still nice and soft

It's hard for boba shops to impress me these days but Chun Yang really knocked it out of the park! The quality of their tea leaves is amazing. I could instantly recognize the floral osmanthus notes in my tea, while still tasting that classic oolong flavor. The honey rounded out the drink wonderfully. Also loved the grass jelly here... I made sure to get every last piece!

The best papaya milk I've tried was in Taiwan and I've yet to find something better in America! So my bar is set sort of high, and I know it is not accessible or fair to make that sort of comparison...with that said, the papaya milk I had here was good and satisfying!! It was more of an icy blended papaya milk. I wished the ice was blended more for a smoother consistency, but it was great on a hot day. It wasn't too sweet and I could taste the real fruit. They have a few seats and tables to sit and chill after a long day of walking. Next door there is a snack shop and a bookstores down the street that makes for some fun browsing!

Chun Yang has some great tea- it's not super cheap but it is good quality for what it's worth. I had a pomelo oolong iced tea drink which was very refreshing and thankfully not 90% ice. If I'm in the area, I'll be back to try more, maybe something with boba next time around.

The Bubble tea here is phenomenal. My favorite was the winter melon tea. Not too sweet just the right amount. The place was clean and they offer a wide array of flavors to choose from.

Cold Peach Oolong and Cold Hojicha Latte
    MengYao L.

Found this place on Yelp as I was in the Flushings area. I ordered the Cold Peach Oolong and Cold Hojicha Latte and do recommend both. I like that the staff recommends the percentage of sugar and ice just because each tea has their own level of aroma and briskness. The Hojicha was super good! And the peach tea is perfect for a hot day to help cool down. I noticed they also had a purple rice drink which I was interested but was too afraid too try but will definitely order it the next time. This shop is located inside and has a decent amount of indoor seating. However it was hard to find. In terms of the price, I'd say it's pretty reasonable.

I'm usually a milk tea person, but Chun Yang Tea seems to have much better fruit teas than I'm used to so I decided to go with a fruit tea today. Also, they use real fruit bits in their drinks, so that intrigued me. POMELO OOLONG TEA - 7.50 I wanted to try something different that I can't get normally and the pomelo oolong tea was perfect. Unfortunately, this drink only comes in a large size. I got this with less ice and 0% sugar. I found that the drink was still too sweet due to the sweetness in the syrup. However, it felt more like natural "fruit sweet" so I was more OK with it. I enjoyed the oolong tea a lot as it stood out well. I also enjoyed the fruit bits in my drink, YUM! I added aiyu jelly (+1) to my drink as recommended by the person who took my order which was a great idea. Sadly, this also means my drink was $9.25 after tax. The drinks here aren't cheap, but the fruit tea quality was fantastic. Stop by if you want to treat yourself!

This is a cute little boba shop with a few indoor seats. The menu is pretty extensive with a variety of interesting drinks. I got the hojicha latte with boba and everything tasted good and flavorful. The chewiness of the boba is just right. They gave me a scratch off card with my order with 15% discount for next time. Service was quick and courteous.

This branch has plenty of seats and staff are very friendly. They follow the orders customization and do give you suggestion what topping is good for a specific drink. Very comfy place to sit down.

We stopped by here on a weekend afternoon, and it wasn't too crowded. Got our drinks super quickly, and there's quite a bit of seating around the shop to chill at. I got a classic black milk tea, and it was quite solid. Strong and unique tea flavor, with a very strong amount of creaminess to it. The pearls themselves were also the right amount of chew. The drink was maybe a tad watered down, but overall super solid. Would definitely stop by if you're craving boba!

Of course, we expect the school to choose only the highest quality restaurants to order delivery from, and yes, it was quite good, considering that it was delivery that was lugged all the way from Flushing and ultimately had to be reheated in the microwave. Come this past weekend, we decided to plan a whole day trip to Flushing to visit Flushing Meadows Corona Park and eat some good Taiwanese and Chinese food. We search Yelp and we come across this place, OK Ryan. The restaurant is small and cozy, but packed a big bite. We had Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Chop lunchbox, Oyster Pancake, Pork Intestine Vermicelli, Taiwanese Sausage, and Golden Red Bean Pancake. Everything authentic and delicious. Oyster Pancake was probably the best I've had for a very long time - it was filled with oysters, not too doughy, not too saucy. Beef noodle soup had excellent depth of flavor and the meat was tender and delicious. We ordered way too much food and took a bunch of it home. Found out that the restaurant was cash or Venmo only. So I take out my phone and Venmo the bill. But wait, my Venmo app did not register OK Ryan as a new restaurant. In fact, it said I had paid this restaurant several... times.... before. Cue the freak out. Who hacked my Venmo account to buy Taiwanese food?? OK, so obviously, OK Ryan and OK Canaan are one and the same. Good for delivery, but now we know, much better in person. We'll try the real OK Canaan next time.

We came on a weekend dinner and surprisingly there was a lot of people before 5:15pm and no one really afterwards. I really appreciate all the Taiwanese decorations in their restaurants and the circular tables which I haven't experienced in a bit. In general, their menu was pretty amazing as it had all the Taiwanese hits that one could want and I seriously couldn't choose! - Braised Pork Rice Lunchbox - Absolutely loved the vegetables in this dish, it really reminded me of the the railroad lunch boxes you get in the train station. I think the braised pork was okay as there wasn't a lot of meat and it was a bit heavy on the fat. - Taiwanese Chicken Cutlet - I was a bit confused on first look of this chicken because they had some rick crackers stuck to the outside of it. I'm not sure if that's the way it's supposed to be but at least the flavors were spot on as it was ultimately crispy on the outside with a bit of spice and juicy on the inside. Probably the best dish of the night. - Pork Intestine Vermicelli - I've never had this dish before in the states so I was interested to see how this would turn out and it was actually a lot better than I thought. The flavors were pretty on point and the cleaned out the intestine well. I probably wouldn't order the lunchbox again, and although no dish extremely WOW-ed me, their breadth of Taiwanese dishes is pretty amazing and I will be back!

My eyes lit up when I saw the menu. The owners are from Tainan, Taiwan which is often consider the culinary capital of Taiwan with many iconic traditional dishes and flavors. The restaurant is spacious but it does not have many table seatings (3-5 tables?). When we came it wasn't busy so we got a spot but we did see many people coming in for their takeout orders. The oldies they play at the restaurant take me back to my childhood. The place is structured very interestingly where it's an open kitchen so you can actually easily see how they prep the food in the back. We ordered: - oyster omelette pancake - mung wort kueh (4 pieces) - danzai noodle - mixed spice platter The oyster omelette was the highlight! The bottom is crispy and they use a generous amount of oysters. It's the most authentic oyster pancake I've had in the east coast. Alot of other "Taiwanese spots" don't make it correctly. I also love the mung wort kueh (hard to find places that sell this) - it's a fun snack to take to go. It's a savory mochi bun with shredded radish as the main ingredient. The danzai noodle is an iconic dish from Tainan. Its main star consists of the one shrimp and the marinated ground braised pork. Although I would prefer the dry version but they serve the soup version here. The broth tastes very clear and clean, doesn't feel like it's dosed with salt and MSG. We got the mixed platter - an iconic street food in Tainan is 滷味 (Lou Wei) which is consist of different ingredients tossed and braised in a soy-based spice sauce. They have a nice selection of Lou Wei options and the platter we got had pork belly, duck neck, tofu skin, and lotus roots. The spicy duck neck can be intimidating for those that have never had it but it is fun to eat. There are so many items on there that I can't wait to try. For first timer, definitely get the oyster pancake and Luroufan! I can't wait to come back and try more of the traditional Taiwanese dishes. They also have frozen dumplings that you can buy to go. 50 pieces for $28-$30 is a pretty good price!
