Our Bartender was John, he was quiet at first but then opened up and got friendlier. The shelves had a lot of choices from which to choose, so I ordered a Basil Hayden bourbon. Snacked on French fries, which were crispy outside, fluffy soft inside. Delicious!! I THINK the Owner, maybe he was the head Chef.... Not sure. But, he came out with a new dish they were testing. It was flounder on a bed of a crispy potato patty, swimming in a Beurre blanc sauce and topped with some tomato jam. OMG.... it was delicious!! What a great combination. If added as a "Special" or a "regular" menu item, I would definitely order that !! Definitely a good stop, if you are visitng Danville, KY.

The patio was perfect - only complaint was old eyes had a hard time seeing the menu as it got dark outside. Service was great - our waitress was attentive and got our order in perfect, plus was able to split up the checks with no issue. Complimentary rolls were served after we ordered - they are sweet rolls but nothing like Texas Roadhouse. Let's just say I was okay after one roll. I ordered the chicken pesto with baked potato and my daughter ordered the chicken wrap with fries. Everyone else at the table ordered steaks. The chicken was a little tough and overcooked, and the baked potato was very good. Tables outside were a bit wobbly so the table rocked while I cut into my chicken. My daughter liked her fries and chicken wrap. Overall it was a solid meal, but don't think we'll be back.

I immediately messaged my Dasher but never received a response. When I called Drake's in Danville, I was hoping they could simply help make it right. Instead, they completely exceeded my expectations. The manager sincerely apologized, had a fresh burger made immediately, and then HE personally drove it to my home to make sure I had my meal while it was still hot. That level of customer care is incredibly rare today and says everything about the kind of leadership and team Drake's has. Ironically, after everything had already been resolved, my Dasher finally replied saying I would need to contact the restaurant, even though I had left a generous holiday tip. Mistakes happen, but what truly matters is how a business responds. Drake's turned a disappointing situation into one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a very long time. Thank you for going above and beyond, especially on a busy holiday. You've earned a loyal customer, and I'll happily recommend Drake's Danville to anyone looking for great food and even better service.
