We'd bring it to the cashiers attention, but then were directed to the customer service desk where we'd spend an additional 15-20 minutes in line waiting to get the error corrected, and typically with no apology. We're now in the habit of taking pictures of all the sale items we plan on purchasing with our phone so that the cashier doesn't automatically dismiss us. About ten days ago I purchased some jalapeno cheese that was on sale for $8.99/lb., but after the young lady ticketed the cheese at 11.99/lb. I told her about it, and she corrected the error, no harm no foul. But I went back a week later for more of the same cheese, and the exact same thing happened again. It was the same young woman, and I even told her prior that the cheese was still on sale. Ofcourse I was dismissed, and she ticketed the cheese at the regular price! Again, I had to point to the placard in the display case which had the cheese for $8.99/lb. So no effort was made to resolve the pricing error the first time I brought it to the employees attention. So, all the customers over the last ten days or more were charged full price if they themselves didn't catch the pricing error. Since I'm on a role, and ready to rant, some of the other things that bug me at my local Kroger. Employees who are at work presenting themselves like its Halloween e.g. multi colors of hair, or the multiple fishing lures stuck in their face, nose, chin, etc... No professionalism at all. I'm also not to fond of having to compete with employees who are loading items for customer pickup, they often feel they're a priority and you the customer need to get out of their way! Anyway, for anyone who's interested, this is a small example of what Kroger as a company has been up to. Pricing Errors: Consumer complaints and class action lawsuits in multiple states (California, Ohio, Illinois, Utah) regarding cash registers ringing up prices higher than the advertised sale prices on shelves were a recurring issue in mid-2025.

    Shopped in this store on 10/30'24. While checking out at the self checkout I had a problem with an…read moreitem scanning. After several attempts to scan the item I placed it aside to continue with my other items.After those were scanned I tried scanning the item several more times. All the time I was checking out I noticed a couple of employees looking directly at me and offerd no assistance. Feeling frustrated and annoyed by the lack of any kind of service I finished and paid for my scanned items. The 2 employees still standing there talking about the weather or how hard they work. I gently dropped the unbreakable item onto the shelf, and It slid behind the shelf onto the floor. I was about to just write it off like so many other horrible customer experiences by this store .As I was about to leave one of those employees rushed over to retrieve the item. I was annoyed to no end and I said to her "why were you just standing there after watching me struggle with scanning that item" Her response was that she did not see me, which was a blatant lie. She rushed over as soon as I paid and was ready to leave. I immediately went to customer service to complain and was told that she was a manager. Just one of a long list of disappointing interactions with employees and "managers"

    We placed an online order on Nov. 11, and paid extra for express delivery. This order never came…read moreand had to be canceled, we have YET to get a refund. They keep saying we never got charged, but I have a charge on my bank account from them for the amount of the order on the day I placed the order. I have showed the local store this proof and they will NOT refund the money. We went in there yesterday to show them, got treated like trash and liars even though I had hardcore proof. I have contacted corporate complaints, BBB, hoping that something will get accomplished. This store is terrible. The only nice people that work here are in the electronics department, I have no issues with any of those employees. But your so called Head Team Lead, is a freaking joke. He did nothing to help us. Even though I showed him my bank app with the charge removed from my account and also showing him that there was no refund and also telling him if it had been a so called authorization charge, that the charge would have disappeared. NOTHING. He basically called the billing department and gave me the rudest call center employee that I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to, she was arguing with me like a child. I kept telling her, You guys charged me, no we didn't, no we didn't and I finally kept saying, Yes you did. I had to hang up on her because apparently she was behind the door when they handed out brains. I am so tired of dealing with this at all but they took my money, didn't provide a service, and have treated me like garbage the entire time. I don't know how many times I have to keep showing people these charges and trying to get this through to someone, but this company doesn't care at all. I mean look at the state of things when you walk in there. It takes forever to even find a person when you need help and they are rude whenever you ask for anything. This isn't the first time that I have had issues with Walmart online delivery, but the first time I did FINALLY get my money back after 2 weeks. They take money instantly, but make you wait two damn weeks to receive that money back??????? How is this even legal? The fact that in our small town, its Kroger and Walmart doesn't help anything. I guess I will have to start going to Danville Walmart where they actually seem to have a bit more sense. I don't know these days, I would rather give Bezos my money than this mess.
