Shopped in this store on 10/30'24. While checking out at the self checkout I had a problem with an item scanning. After several attempts to scan the item I placed it aside to continue with my other items.After those were scanned I tried scanning the item several more times. All the time I was checking out I noticed a couple of employees looking directly at me and offerd no assistance. Feeling frustrated and annoyed by the lack of any kind of service I finished and paid for my scanned items. The 2 employees still standing there talking about the weather or how hard they work. I gently dropped the unbreakable item onto the shelf, and It slid behind the shelf onto the floor. I was about to just write it off like so many other horrible customer experiences by this store .As I was about to leave one of those employees rushed over to retrieve the item. I was annoyed to no end and I said to her "why were you just standing there after watching me struggle with scanning that item" Her response was that she did not see me, which was a blatant lie. She rushed over as soon as I paid and was ready to leave. I immediately went to customer service to complain and was told that she was a manager. We placed an online order on Nov. 11, and paid extra for express delivery. This order never came and had to be canceled, we have YET to get a refund. They keep saying we never got charged, but I have a charge on my bank account from them for the amount of the order on the day I placed the order. I have showed the local store this proof and they will NOT refund the money. We went in there yesterday to show them, got treated like trash and liars even though I had hardcore proof. I have contacted corporate complaints, BBB, hoping that something will get accomplished. This store is terrible. The only nice people that work here are in the electronics department, I have no issues with any of those employees. But your so called Head Team Lead, is a freaking joke. He did nothing to help us. Even though I showed him my bank app with the charge removed from my account and also showing him that there was no refund and also telling him if it had been a so called authorization charge, that the charge would have disappeared. NOTHING. He basically called the billing department and gave me the rudest call center employee that I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to, she was arguing with me like a child. I kept telling her, You guys charged me, no we didn't, no we didn't and I finally kept saying, Yes you did. I had to hang up on her because apparently she was behind the door when they handed out brains. I am so tired of dealing with this at all but they took my money, didn't provide a service, and have treated me like garbage the entire time. I don't know how many times I have to keep showing people these charges and trying to get this through to someone, but this company doesn't care at all. I mean look at the state of things when you walk in there. It takes forever to even find a person when you need help and they are rude whenever you ask for anything. This isn't the first time that I have had issues with Walmart online delivery, but the first time I did FINALLY get my money back after 2 weeks. They take money instantly, but make you wait two damn weeks to receive that money back??????? How is this even legal? The fact that in our small town, its Kroger and Walmart doesn't help anything. I guess I will have to start going to Danville Walmart where they actually seem to have a bit more sense. I don't know these days, I would rather give Bezos my money than this mess. read more

Almost a week ago I called the Walmart Deli in Harrodsburg Kentucky to place an order for the Harrodsburg Police Department Thanksgiving dinner (2 meat trays & 50 pieces of chicken). I requested a pick-up time of 2:00 pm today - our dinner was scheduled 3:00-5:00. I went to Walmart around 1:00 (an hour before my pick-up time) hoping that my order would be ready to pick up so that I could tend to the three sides I was currently preparing - the girl at the counter reminded me that my pick-up time was 2:00 and said if I would come back then I could pick it all up then. I was fine with that and said I would come back. I returned around 2:10 only to find out that my order still wasn't ready and that I would have to wait for 30 more minutes. I was not happy!! I left the building where our dinner was to be held (about 3 blocks away) with water on to boil and a casserole in the oven. I expected to pick up my order and go right back. That did not happen. I was very upset with them, needless to say. She apologized and said we wouldn't be charged for the meat. I told her that I didn't care about getting free meat I just wanted the dinner to start on time. I had to return to tend to the sides I started preparing before my wasted trip, and had to ask my husband to go back 30 minutes later to pick it up. He returned, fortunately, at the very moment the meal was to start. I was in a panic by this time, it was a very stressful last hour before our dinner!! For anyone else, this might not be that big of a deal, but we planned this time specifically so that 1st shift police officers and dispatchers could eat at the end of their shift, and 2nd shift could stop by on their way to work. In addition to our order being ready 45 minutes late, after being told that we wouldn't be charged for the meat, when my husband returned to get it, he was still charged for most of the order. And lastly, I ordered two meat trays, I wasn't told that most of what was really on the meat tray was piles of cheese - probably 3 times more cheese than meat. And the fried chicken was absolutely horrible. A thick layer of hard/crunchy coating with very little actual meat. I assure you I will never order anything else like this from Walmart. I was stating my complaint to another employee and she said that the deli and bakery was in desperate need of help and the management wasn't willing to do anything about it. Management should have been back there behind the counter helping out if things are that bad. I have made many complaints in the past regarding other issues with the Walmart in Harrodsburg; my complaints go unanswered and nothing seems to be getting better. read more

Not one open checkout in store this morning. Elderly folks trying to self checkout and bag their own groceries from motorized chairs. One staff person in the area to assist but she could only do so much. Walmart you need to provide assistance to the elderly and physically challenged. Tons of staff meandering around the store, empty customer service area with two staff and yet customers struggling to check themselves out. read more

Tonight I shopped at Wal-Mart and everything was going just fine until the checkout. I found all the products to be just fine and even got some good deals on several items. Then came the checkout...My daughter and I had 2 carts full and we were very disappointed when we found that none of the checkout lanes were open, only the self checkout lanes. If I had known beforehand that I would have to scan the groceries myself, I would never have purchased $300 worth of groceries. I would have just bought a couple of items and left. The manager told me that it is self checkout only after 10 PM. She was pleasant enough and I told her that she did not need to apologize since it was not her fault that Wal-Mart is too cheap to hire people. I was also annoyed that they did not have any large bags for the larger items like toilet paper and paper towels. It seemed strange to me that they have 12 checkout lanes plus several self checkout areas and yet not one large bag to be found. The checkout machine I was working with did not work very well and the whole ordeal was very frustrating. I could not get the plastic bags to open and that was slowing me down. The area filled up with people that were waiting for the machine to check out. I could not go any faster and it is still a mystery to me why there were other machines in the self checkout area that were not open for use. Needless to say, any good thoughts I had about the good deals that I had were quickly replaced with sheer frustration. Considering Kroger is focusing more on customer service with many of them getting the Clicklist service that allows you to stay in your car, and Amazon has a grocery service that delivers to your door, I don't think Wal-Mart can afford to not have employees. They get tax breaks for building Wal-Marts in small towns because it creates jobs. Without these jobs, what is the point of Wal-Mart? The next time I need to go grocery shopping, I will consider customer service before I go. read more
