Signage is excellent just off the main city drag outside of downtown. When approaching the lot was empty and clerk was outside having a smoke. Inside was clean with a ton of bottles and nice bourbon selection with excellent pricing. Also a few store picks. However nothing hard to find really in the bourbon department. Those are kept behind the counter and not a great selection and pricey secondary pricing. The shelves were not fronted which drives me crazy and that just lazy of clerks to not move the bottles up. I ended up walking out empty handed, but probably should have purchased the Woodford Double Oaked store pick for $59. I would definitely return.

He likes the rare bourbons that most places keep behind the register area. While we were on our way to The Berea Craft Festival this weekend, we passed this huge liquor store. Of course, he had to turn around. They have a drive thru, but I was thirsty and was hoping to find a soda or tea. Score! They even have a soda fountain machine, it wasn't working, but luckily we scored a 20 oz. Mountain Dew. I hadn't had a Mountain Dew in years! At $1.90, it's not your average convenience store prices. Speaking of the prices, all of the liquor prices seemed a little steep, but I guess they are probably the only liquor store around and can get away with a slight price hike. They did have a clearance section in the back though. Despite the prices, they had a large selection of bourbons... nothing rare though. The lady behind the register said that the rare bourbons only last a couple of days after they get them in.

Our bartender Crystal was extremely knowledgeable and picked a few of my pours and I was blown away. We met so many good people that came to drink pours too. This place made my birthday something I'll never forget. I picked up a couple store picks as well as allocated bottles i can't get near me. A Must-Stop for Bourbon!…read more Justin's House of Bourbon in Lexington is awesome! I had the chance to sample one of their barrel picks from Bardstown and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and approachable. Their barrel picks are top-notch, and the fact that you can sample them at the bar for just five bucks is unbeatable. Prices in the shop are very reasonable for their picks and most of their selection. Some tater tax but thats understandable. Whether you're a seasoned bourbon enthusiast or just getting into it, this place is a must-visit. I'll 100% be coming back.
