Murder mysteries are 4-5 course meal that you can pair wine to, the other food within the pictures is from that event. It's so delicious perfectly paired and made. We arrived tonight for a friends birthday party and the place was packed. The staff and management were super accommodating and helped all 8 us get seated together. You order all your food and drinks at the newly renovated bar area and they bring your food to your table. You can purchase wine by the bottle and take the bottle with you in a special sealed bag for travel, if you don't finish it at the restaurant. My wife had their Chardonnay and I had a Blue Stallion Oktoberfest. For dinner, my wife had the Chicken Salad Croissant with Homemade Chips and I had the Hearth Burger with Homemade Chips. We came her on a Friday night in September for some great music and a beautiful venue. It is gorgeous out here. Everything about the property is beautiful and clean and classy. Wonderful Ladies Night at the vineyard! Early Christmas celebration with seven of my friends. We loved the holiday decor, food and wine selections! All staff we encountered were absolutely amazing!! Very welcoming, accommodating, and eager to ensure our evening was phenomenal! I ordered the wine flight (ended up purchasing the special holiday cherry wine, delicious) and the pizza with fig. Pizza was very unique and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their drink and food selections. Only complaint was that the potato skins were very small in portion size. Ambiance was perfect for our gathering and great decor for photos. Chenault is truly a gem to this region! Looking forward to attending one or some their upcoming events, I've heard great things! Tomato bisque was not like any tomato bisque i have ever had. Really thick with pureed veggies. Did not taste anything like Bisque, however, it was good. I have not found a wine I like, until I tried their Ed's Red. Delish, bought a bottle to take home. We sat inside as it was too hot outside. Atmosphere inside was nice but it was unbearably hot inside as well. Very limited beer list, thats why we drank wine. You have to order at the bar and they bring it to the table. That meant standing in line more than once. Stood in line to order drink, stood in to order appetizer, stood in line to order food, stood in line at inside and outside bar to pay. We ordered the Garden Pizza, I am not really a pizza person but it was good. Could not get enogh salt. Over all very nice, biggest issue was the heat, unbearable, we did not stay long. Large high roof building with no insulation. Bathroom out of order, had to ferry you to another building. All staff was very professional and friendly. This is my first time visiting this winery under the name Chenault vineyards. I once visited as it was called Acres of Land winery. The new owners have made this such a fun place to visit! From the time we stepped foot inside, we were greeted by such friendly servers and workers. She made suggestions but also explained to us how the flights work. The inside is open and has a lot of seating at various tables. There is also a private room that can be found behind the bar. Outside of the main room, is a covered patio with tables, chairs and fans. It overlooks the vineyards, which is such a nice view! The wine itself was great. We tried a red flight and a sweet flight. All the wines were enjoyable! Aside from the wines, they do seasonal cocktails that can also be enjoyed! The menu isn't huge, but it does offer charcuterie boards, pizzas, sandwiches and soups; all of which looked amazing. We look forward to visiting again soon! read more

Stopped in here for lunch. We had the Pepperoni pizza, Poosey Ridge Peach, & Chocolate Obsession . The other couple with us had chicken ranch pizza & Sams Fix it Juice to drink. This winery is a bit off the beaten path but so worth the drive. It was a bit chilly when we were there so we sat inside. But it looked like there was a great patio and view. I want to say we got 4-5 wines to sample for about $10. I liked everything I tried. We got here later in the day so we split a bottle of Riesling and relaxed. The bartender was friendly and had some great recommendations. I definitely look forward to returning and spending more time (hopefully on the patio). Great winery! read more

It's easy to think that you're lost on your way there, but keep going. It's at the end of the road. I was there on Saturday for brunch and then again on Thursday for yoga and dinner. The inside is beautiful and clean. The outdoor patio is relaxing with nice views of the large vineyard. The menu is pretty small but they offer pizza, soups, chicken salad and a few other meals. We had the veggie pizza one day and the margarita pizza the other day. Veggie pizza was delicious but the other pizza was pretty bland. The pizzas are large enough for three maybe four people. They offer red wine flights, white wine flights, sweet wine flights and fruit wine flights for only $7.00! There's a venue to rent for events. And they have various events throughout each month such as yoga, live music, etc. They sell bottles of their wine, souvenirs and booze flavored truffles, cupcakes and other candies. I tried the Sangria Boozy cupcake that I thought was too dry but my daughter tried the Peach Boozy cupcake and she loved it. Went there for their patio live music with Tony Toy last night. We had a fantastic time last, even with some rain storms (they have a new roof on patio). The food, drink, service, views, ambiance, friendliness of everyone made it one of our current favorite places! The menu is not extensive but we enjoyed our food and they have wine of course, but also a full top shelf bar and special cocktail. We stopped at Chenault for the second time. Last year, on our way south, we stopped to check them out. Their wine was tasteful, and the venue was elegant. Not to worry about atyre if stopping in for a tasting, shorts and jeans are fine. The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable regarding their wines. We also had a pizza that was pretty good. They have a limited edition Raspberry-Chocolate desert wine that is very tasty. We picked up several bottles to take home. All in all, it is worth the detour. read more

Disappointing... I checked their website, called during business hours (there was no answer) and verified their hours on the business voicemail. We planned a family outing to the winery on a Sunday and it's an hour drive from home, only to realize upon arrival that they were closed. We were really looking forward to a nice evening spent wine tasting. This is our new favorite place in this area. We travel to KY for EKU football games and are always looking for a great local place. We found it this trip. We liked it so much that we had lunch, went to the EKU spring game and then came back for dinner! Yes....it's that good. The atmosphere is A+. There is outside seating which is our favorite way to dine. On weekends there is live music. Decor is classy but comfortable. The service is an A+. Friendly, prompt, professional, and engaging. This Vineyard has improved greatly! The reviews are from 2 years ago, and I too was not impressed then. However, they have hired an incredible wine maker Alex! He's also a very good bartender! Their wines are all great! He's doing a wine slushy now too made with fresh fruit, not mixes. He's changing the flavor weekly. They are a full bar now with excellent drinks. Andrew is the chef and he's making delicious charcuterie boards! Also, incredible paninis with tomato bisque! Please give this gorgeous place another try if you haven't been in a long time! Really don't think the bar tender knows what she's doing, my boyfriend and I decided to go there on a Saturday night for a drink. We ordered two of their "signature cocktails" assuming since they are their signature, that they'd be good! I got the red sangria, they pulled the pitcher out of the fridge, and it was visible that the fruit, alcohol and sugar had all sunk to the bottom. I assumed the bartender would stir it, but instead she just poured it into a cocktail glass on ice. So I really just got some wine flavored water from the top of the pitcher. It was really disappointing. My boyfriend on the other hand got a Mint Julep from the signature list, I took a sip of it and the sugar and mint hit me more than the teeny tiny amount of bourbon that was in the drink. While we were sitting there waiting on our two drinks, I saw the bartender making margaritas for another couple, she shook the mix in a shaker, then opened the shaker and smelled it and looked confused. She poured the contents into the margarita glasses, realizing she forgot the alcohol she poured it on top of the margarita mix in the glass. Just very sloppy job. Didn't get to try the food since the kitchen was closed. This is a place where you should stick to what they know, just get wine. read more

I went with my Mom and Dad for Mothers Day. The kitchen only offered 2 entrees (eggs benedict and quiche) accompanied by grits and fruit. Iced tea and coffee were included but they were never offered to us. We had to go to the bar to order and pay for food and drinks. When I asked what was in the quiche it took three service people before anyone could tell me that is was a basic quiche devoid of any vegetables or proteins. We ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce bland. If you are going to offer only two entrees they should be pretty darn close to perfect! This place ran like a mom and pop restaurant.The staff did not appear to be trained well at all. The bar was slow and the "bloody mary and mimosa bar" was lacking of staples like celery and skewers. The tray was half empty when I ordered a bloody mary and the items were never refilled. I have never visited the cafe on a regular day but if it run like this I can go to any fast food restaurant and stand in line. read more
