I have not been to a Chuck E Cheese location in so long, ever since I was a kid and wow time has changed! My daughter and niece had so much fun and wow they definitely stepped up the food because it was delicious! The pizza tastes so good! It was pricey though but can't really complain too much since it was good! Also if it's your first time here you have to purchase a play card and make sure you just ask for the card and double check with the worker because I didn't realize the worker sneaking in a wristband for me and charging me an extra $3 when I never asked for a wristband! Awful experience. Ordered at 6:00 and still did not have our food at 7:20. I had to wait in line just to talk to someone to find out our order slipped through the cracks. I ended up just asking for a refund and left with very hungry kids. The kids had fun playing for a while but many of the machines are faulty and staff is not helpful. Hold the phone...since when did Chuck E Cheese start serving fresh handmade pizza? I brought my two kids (3 and 16 mos) to the TO location expecting the same mediocrity I remember from childhood. What I got was the exact opposite. I was pleasantly surprised to find the location to be very clean and well maintained. Staff was pleasant enough as we placed an order for pizza and drinks. The food came fast, and the pizza is great! They've even added garlic butter to the crust. I'm not sure why this location has an average of three stars...our experience was way above that. I've been multiple times before over the years, but my gf and I borrowed her nephew and niece for the afternoon and came here. We ordered a medium pizza (1/2 cheese & 1/2 pep), soft drinks, one salad bar, and $30 (90) tokens. Five (5) reasons to love it: ==================== 1. First and foremost, it's secure. Upon entry, and unique stamp for you and your kids are marked on your arm. Your kids cannot leave without an adult with the same stamp. Someone is staffed at all times to "man the gate". 2. The arcade games, they have all mostly geared for tikes. A lot of the games are interactive, meaning they have some type of hammer or ball. The games are very quick, mostly 30 seconds or less, so the tokens go extra fast. Thankfully, the do have some adult games: terminator, race cars, etc. 3. Chuck E: besides the small stage with the chuck e character and video performances, the real bonafide Chuck E comes out to the floor and engages with the kids. He dances and the kids follow. He takes pics with your kids. At the end, a hundred tickets are thrown on the floor and the kids go grabbin' crazy. 4. The food, not great, but good. After all the great pizza around LA that I'm having (researching for my upcoming book), I actually enjoyed it! They have a basic salad bar setup (after 3pm), and it was fine for $7. First off, I tried to contact Chuck E. Cheese corporate directly. I've left over 3 messages immediately following the party of February 24th, 2018. It is now, March 9th, 2018 and no one, not one person-has called on my voicemails I left for their Customer Relations. That being said-unless you want a party in shambles-by all means have your party here. They DO NOT CARE as you are stuck at the venue with unorganized staff, cold food, carefree in trying to gather your party and last of all-YOU are STUCK-end of story. I remember, MANY moons ago, a Chuck E. Cheese party. Although crazy busy, those parties I've attended (even at this particular venue) was organized. I remembered the coordinator or "assigned" persons to your party-actually announced (via bull horn in the past) or the PA System (as recently as 3-4 years ago) that "Lunch is served. Please join your party if you are with ___ now so that you can enjoy the show and the food with the birthday boy/girl!". As you sit down, CEC would walk around and greet you and your party and do photo ops (while the animatronics sang and danced). Then, after eating, you go play for a bit more and again, when it was time for the cake to come out, the assigned servers would announce "Ok ____ party! We are about to bring out the CAKE so please find your way back to your table to join us in the birthday song for _____!!!". Well, don't expect any of that here. The staff, on the 24th-were absolutely unorganized. I called two days before the party to confirm all was good (with their 800 number) what to bring, what I might need to bring..etc. It was answered with "we have everything under control. you just show up and have a great time."-Mmmm-ok. Well, 1 day before, my husband called and all of a sudden-"you need to arrive 1/2 hour before to (wait for it) SET UP! Wait-set up what???? You are providing the balloons, YOU are providing the venue, YOU are providing everything and we are paying you $25 per child. WHAT do YOU need US to SET UP!? You are KIDDING right? *wait for it*. We haul our butts over and make it in at 20 mins earlier than set time. There was no set up. You know what they wanted? They wanted us to "you need to order your pizza's NOW so that everything comes out on time". Wait-our package includes pizzas for X amount of kids. We gave you a head count already. MAKE THE PIZZA'S! "But what about the adults?" Really? I said to them BEFORE the party-3 separate conversations (THREE) "We will order the pizza's after we get a complete head count of people-WHEN THEY ARRIVE and COMMIT to staying". Makes no sense right? Why not just serve COLD pizza's and COLD wings!? Our child's name was spelled wrong too. Our server, as sweet as he was, is inexperienced and nervous as a bat with a flashlight shining on him. The "management" that was scheduled were an absolute disorganized bunch of rejects from management school. Not one of them looked like they showered before they arrived. Bless their hearts, they couldn't even say "hello" when you were talking to them rather-they averted their eyes the whole time. When the cake cutting time happened (which is on THEIR TIME which they DO NOT ANNOUNCE) *and it HAD to be at a certain time because CEC goes table to table apparently and that is the only time it will come out to sing??* so we were rushed and 1/2 of our party was missing and I (ME-the HOST) was running around trying to get my group together and I missed singing Happy Birthday to my 3 year old along with about 5 of her friends and a handful of relatives! Cake cutting-omg. What a cluster (insert insult here). The "cubes" were crooked and lopsided-some were right side up, some were sideways and some upside down or falling apart. When we were leaving, I asked the manager *who walked away saying to their employee "can you help this customer"?* if I could have a MED PIZZA BOX so that I can cut the remaining 1/2 sheet of my cake into quarters so some of our guests can take some cake home. The refused to give me boxes and insisted on cutting it for me in the kitchen where they cut the in half from 1/2 sheet when I asked for it to be cut into 1/4 and then placed on MED PIZZA BOXES with the lid "CUT OFF" and just "plastic wrap it". Delivered-2 LG PIZZA BOXES with 2 cakes. I had to send it back with "can you cut it in half one more time and can you make the boxes smaller? do you guys have medium boxes?" and finally getting over the evil stares from the manager and server *who is starting to fume out the ears* I gave up and said "can you just give me 6 styrofoam to go boxes?". When they delivered-AGAIN-4 LG PIZZA BOXES cut with lids off with 1/4 cake on there. I just about died laughing. Wasting all that time and material. Just embarrassing how unwilling to listen to the customers. We ended up putting cakes in styro boxes. We left with them throwing us dirty looks-when they did nothing AND we ran the show. Very attentive, polite, quick at cleaning up or party mess, and always gave service with a smile. I'm so glad we decided to host my daughters 3rd birthday here. We used to love it, however the new manager gave us hard time during my daughter's birthday on January 13, 2019. No server was assigned and was short staffed, so literallythere was no one to help you in whatsoever. Food came out after the birthday and after guests left. Kids kept crying because they were so hungry. The same manager called me back after one week to ask me for more money which was totally awkward as we already canceled all the food and paid what we got and all the birthday expenseswere paid on their website. My husband and I were driving home from an appointment the other day and happened to pass by this Chuck E. Cheese and see their sign advertising takeout. For $5 you can get a large cheese pizza (we made it a stuffed crust for only $2 more ) and it was really, really good!! My husband ordered a large supreme stuffed crust for $11 and between the two pizzas we ate for a couple days which was a nice treat to get some comfort food from our childhoods during quarantine. (They have some other fun menu specials too at great prices). The quality was really good! Fresh, hot, perfectly baked, great size and awesome value. The customer service was excellent too. My wife isn't really to fond of this place but I love and my kids love it as well. It's a nice go to spot if you can't think of anything else to do for the kiddos and I don't know if they changed their Pizza from when I use to go when I was a kid but the pizza isn't too bad. We went on a Sat evening, we were able to find a booth right away. There were people there but it wasn't super crazy packed. -Ordered 1 med pizza, casheir said it would be out in 25 mins- ok perfect. 40 mins later and pizza wasn't out yet, when I asked I was told it would be another 5 mins. I didn't make a big deal about it, however, my girls and I were starving! We love it here. I remember growing up with this as a child and my 5yo loves it the same. The reason for the 5 star: we come here once a month and we have always been greeted with the friendliest of staff. If a game breaks, they are right on it and they always great you with a smile. Yes, the pizza is not gourmet, but it's better than it was growing up. BTW- they now have cauliflower crust. Bathrooms are always clean and the gaming area is tidy. Last year, we had my daughter's birthday there and she and her friends had a fantastic time. She felt very celebrated and special. The cost is actually super reasonable compared to other options in the area and no need to clean up. With many Chuck e Cheese in danger of closing, I sure hope others remember how fun it is for kids and stop by to have a beer and some wings while the littles play. read more

Today I threw a birthday party for my two-year-old granddaughter. I invited all of her aunts, uncles, mother, father, close friend, my wife (Grammy), and myself (her loving grampa). I wanted it to be so special for her! And She was so happy to meet Chucky and jumped around him and up and down. She played so many of the games, ate the pizza and the especially loved the cake. It's a great place for a kids party. My wife and I threw many for our kids. It was worth every cent to see that sheer delight on the face of my beautiful granddaughter Natalie. I had to deduct a few stars because the place was not that busy and yet there was garbage everywhere. Food on the floor, a garbage bag left in the middle of the aisle and just overall a bit grungy. I told our party host, but I was disappointed the manager never stop by. There were only two parties going on and I think the manager missed a chance to smooth things over. Haven't come to CEC in a very long time. Couldn't remember why. Walked in and bam I remembered immediately. The line to order food is horrifically slow. Like slower then molasses dripping down a tree in winter. The food is ok. Use a coupon. 1 large 1 topping 3 drinks and a salad bar for $35. Otherwise it's a 1 large 4 drinks for $34 and a salad bar $8.50. Good salad toppings choices. The eggs are whole instead of cut up? The ranch is a bit sour. Not as creamy as others ranch dressing. Overall salad bar is good and worth it. Good soda selection of Pepsi products. Now my real issue. Tokens. Tokens. Tokens. I had 400 tokens but guess what???? You can't use tokens anymore. Guess what else? They won't take your tokens and credit your new crazy plastic card. Guess what else.....they don't care you have 400 wasted tokens! What happened to CEC being about the kids having fun time inexpensively and not having to be responsible for a "credit card". Well now you buy time or points. But that was no help with the 400 tokens I had. Not one email letting customers know. Not one sign. Nothing. Just 400 wasted tokens. And corporate absolutely does NOT care. To say that ruined our experience was an understatement. Also annoying was the 4 times games were out of tickets. Or the photo machine that had no paper. PARENTS BEWARE! The staff at this place are RUDE!!! A automated card machine literally STOLE $213 out of my credit card WITHOUT making a single selection on the touch screen. I have been bringing my 4 kids to this Chuck E. Cheese for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They do a great job at the kid check, so I know my kids are safe to play if I want to sit at the table to take a moment to rest. We have had 6 birthday parties here in the past few years. The service is always great-- parents and kids always happy. Also, we have gone multiple times since they reopened from Covid closures. It is always clean, and the staff wears masks. read more

Times have changed. I used to frequent the Chuck E. Cheese's in Northridge (actually had a couple of my birthday parties there) when I was a wee lass. They don't have the huge animatronic characters anymore, it's all done through a DVD/videotape that runs on constant loops on TV screens. The food has somewhat gotten better from when I last remembered it. The games are still fun and they have more "intense" rides (video game type roller coasters). The prizes you win still suck, but, would be fun none-the-less for the youngin's. This particular Chuck E Cheese has gone way down hill. I take my kids here every so often, but I will not be returning to this one. The salad bar yesterday was disgusting. The tomatoes looked okay but tasted putrid and so did the cucumbers. The dressings were all mixed up and even when employees appeared to be maintaining the salad bar, they never tried to clean up the dressings. Then... the French fries I ordered tasted kind of funny. They were soggy too. I'm a vegetarian and I frequently get sick if I accidentally eat something with meat in it, like a broth or whatnot, but this usually doesn't happen with fried food. I can only think that they cook them in the same oil as the buffalo wings and don't change it enough, because I got that very tell tale stomach ache. But really, I don't come here for the food, I come for my kids to play, so that's why I'm really irritated. Lots of cutting corners happening here. It wasn't that busy but many many machines that should have been giving tickets were out of tickets. I kept looking for people who worked there to fix it, but there just weren't people who weren't working parties. Worst of all, many of the machines were not working at all but had no signs to say they were out of order, so of course my kids kept putting tokens in them. The one game my daughter wanted to come for in the first place, the stretch one where it draws a picture of your photo, was not working. Neither was the one that makes little ID cards. I think they were intentionally off because they were out of supplies and the franchise owner is being cheap. The prizes have gotten worse. 50 tickets for a tiny box of nerds, the kind that come in big bulk bags. A month ago, my daughter had 75 tickets at an arcade in Long Beach and was able to get a little plastic crown. To say she was disappointed with a box of candy is an understatement. About a month ago, I was thinking that this might be a good place to have my kids birthday this year. I'm glad I visited first because I definitely will not be planning a party here now. read more

This place is a hit for the kids with fun but the food here is only ok. It can be a little pricy for what you get food and game wise but coupons help a little bit! Yesterday, we had a few issues there... we ordered a salad, large pizza, and three drinks. He asked if we wanted the herb butter on the crust (which I said no, since I wasn't sure the kids would like it and he seemed disappointed that I didn't get it and they still ended up putting it on it!), which I didn't even want to complain about once we got our pizza, because it took almost an hour. I asked after 35 minutes of waiting and I could tell they hadn't even started it, although they said it'd only take 5 minutes (another 15+ minutes later it finally came out!) While we were waiting for the pizza, my Mom has her salad, and I went to get her a clean plate (which they allow you to do), but once again no one was at the register and I grabbed one from the stack on on top of the counter. One of the younger workers (who ended up being the manager) practically runs over and asks me if I just grabbed the plate (trying to call me out - I was allowed to get a clean plate). I said yes, my Mom wants a clean one (it's a $9.11 all-you-can eat salad bar). He's like ok, but can I swap it for the old one. Ok, sure. When the pizza finally comes out I ask what happened and he said, "Oh, our cook was on his break." I asked how that can be avoided for the next person. He asked if I'd like to talk to the manager and I said yes. Then, he goes on to tell me that we aren't allowed to use the regular plates like that (my Mom was put a few salad bar items on a plate for my starving 16 month old, while we waited for the kids' pizza). I told the worker that I didn't care since they took so long with the pizza and my kid was starving. He just walked away and didn't know what to say. Lol! I don't normally talk like that, but come on, he had the audacity to try and enforce that when they messed up with the pizza. He could've said something but excused it due to the circumstances. A few moments later, the manager comes over and looks all dopey. I explained to him why my little one was eating a few salad bar items which he said he understood. I went on to tell him that no one even apologized for what happened with the pizza. He apologized and then left. Then, it took forever to cash in our tickets because only one person was working he register and prize stand. She kept ringing people up for food who were in that line less time than the prize people. I guess that takes precedence. Not sure what everyone else was doing besides watching the salad bar security cam! There have been times that we were there and the food was terrible. The pizza was ok due to it being fresh and taking almost an hour! The salad bar is pretty good, but there was some slimy spinach, which is what I use. I took my toddlers here and of course we had a blast. No game issues. The only games down were one skeeball lane and the Fast & Furious. I do wish there were more games for two year olds and that you receive more tokens for cash but those are relatively minor issues. During the Happy Dance, Chuck's nose fell off and he split. One of my girls was super sad :,( Not throwing a fit just teary eyed heart-broken. Fortunately, Jennifer and the staff member playing Chuck E saved the day.
