I had a frozen margarita here that was raspberry and combined a sparkling wine which was decent but not that amazing. It was definitely watered down and I didn't feel much of a buzz. I found the service to be pretty friendly regardless. There was a decent selection of games with a few games that didn't work. I liked the card system and it was easy to use and see the balance of game plays and tickets available. They also had a decent selection of prices but not much in our ticket range. I can tell this was newly renovated and for the most part was clean. The games are definitely fun and engaging. Parking is very easy in the large parking lot.

Ok so Dave and Busters had a facelift over the winter in anticipation for spring! They have new zones - one called the Arena. And private seated "Bays" with electronic darts and shuffleboard. You have to reserve this area but it's new and it's modern. The food even tasted better than I remember too! We last visited over the summer and I can really tell they've gone through some changes for the better. The drinks were stiff and tasted great. They do have new games too to keep it modern but my only complaint is probably better prize options. A lot it is throw away garbage.

Definitely a fun place just to come watch a game on TV or play the arcade games, but I don't recommend coming here hungry because food is definitely not their strong point. In fact it was very mid / below average. I spent around $70 and was very disappointed in my meal.. the spinach dip was probably the best thing I got, but it came with a very small amount of chips I had to order more to finish it and it was slightly bland but paired with the flavorful salsa it was good. Next the margarita flatbread was not great it was not hot just slightly warm and the cheese that was on it was gross just very salty and weird tasting. I do not recommend it. Then for the main entrée I ordered the chicken Parm Alfredo pasta, which I almost couldn't order at all because it took 20 minutes of going back-and-forth with the waitress because she kept telling me that it was discontinued and not on the menu anymore, but then she found out that it was on the menu after all... so idk. Anyways, it wasn't great. The pasta was a bit bland and almost tasted like boxed pasta you buy at the store and the chicken Parm that came with it was a dry and there was not enough marinara sauce on it, that was dry as well. also the tomatoes that they put on top were cold.. and finally the apple pecan side salad came with no candied pecans so I had to ask for those on the side... presentation wise etc. It wasn't great. The blue cheese pieces were super thick clumpy pieces and it was not the best. I also ordered a five dollar drink the blueberry mule that had no alcohol and it was not great just super sour and way too sweet... not very balanced so yeah not the best experience this time around

Dave & Buster's in Thousand Oaks at Janss Marketplace has been a solid addition to the area over the past few years. If you enjoy arcade games and sports bars, it is definitely worth a visit. The drinks are surprisingly affordable, especially compared to other spots nearby, particularly as you get closer to Westlake. The arcade has a good variety of games that are not outrageously priced, and the prize room has a decent selection of rewards based on ticket earnings. They recently went through a remodel, and I have to say, it has completely changed the vibe of the place. The emphasis now seems to be more on the restaurant and bar experience rather than just the arcade. Instead of being greeted by a large arcade counter when you walk in, there is now a host podium that makes the entrance feel much more open and welcoming. The layout is now split, with dining to the left and a more casual bar area to the right. The bright wood accents throughout the space really warm up the atmosphere and make it feel more inviting than before. One of the biggest additions is the shuffleboard area near the bar, which I was initially excited about. However, it turns out to be a paid shuffleboard experience where you play against a computer. This feels like an unnecessary cash grab. Shuffleboard is a staple of bar games because it is meant to be played with friends, so I don't understand the point of adding a computerized opponent. While I did not try it myself, I did see people struggling to figure out how to get it started, which does not inspire much confidence. I will probably give it a shot next time, but I am skeptical about the concept. Another big change is the new interactive game stadium, which is placed right before the arcade. The floors and walls are interactive, and a host runs the experience. It is a paid attraction, and while I did not participate, I watched others play, and it looked like a lot of fun. The host running the experience was engaging and energetic, which added to the excitement. This addition definitely adds some energy as you transition into the arcade section. Cleanliness is mostly good, but there are some areas for improvement. The bar tops could be wiped down more often, as I have sat down more than once to find a sticky counter from a previous guest's drink. The menus can also feel a bit grimy, which is not the best first impression when starting a night out. The staff at this location is always friendly and attentive. Whether sitting at the bar or at a table, service has always been quick and efficient. However, I have noticed that arcade machines seem to be out of order a little more often than expected. There are technicians on-site to fix issues, but certain games, like the ping pong ball drop, seem to be frequently down. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is something I have noticed more here compared to other arcades and barcades. Noise levels are exactly what you would expect from a place like this. It is loud, chaotic, and filled with kids sprinting around and shouting, so if you are looking for a quiet night out, this is not the place. That being said, it is a bar arcade, so it comes with the territory. Overall, the remodel was a great move, and it makes the space feel more modern and welcoming. There are a few operational kinks to work out, particularly with game maintenance and bar cleanliness, but the drinks are affordable, the service is solid, and the experience is fun. I am looking forward to seeing what other updates they make in the future.

Charging for sauce with a 20 piece wings and a $14.99 drink that was all mix. Wtf overpriced for Dave & Busters

Manny is amazing, he offered to accommodate our large crowd Towards the end of the night. Awesome service by our wonderful waitress Drew. She answered all our questions and made impressively accurate suggestions from the menu to match our different tastes. Love the vibe, the music and the personality of the staff in general. We will be back soon. Great job Guys

I'm being generous & updating my previous review... I've visited D&B a couple times since then & wanted to see if there were any variations. Marilyn was an exceptional waitress. She was attentive & made sure we were happy. I give her 5/5 Stars... Bry was also attentive & satisfied our needs, 5/5 awesome server on our recent visit. Food: Chicken Strips were okay. Fries were a tad on the salty side... Fries are a hit & miss. Sometimes served warm or room temp. Kids Chicken Bites were fine. Comes with a good amount of French Fries. Nachos were way better than I had during my initial review visit. What a huge improvement. I appreciate that. We ended up ordering a 2nd round. My friends ordered the wings. I didn't try them but they looked inviting. They initially ordered 2 entrees of wings, then ended up ordering another one. I'll have to try those next time. Reason for bumping up another star: My dad lost a valuable item while playing a basketball game. We looked all over in multiple areas & repeatedly searched several times. Milad was a worker we thankfully ran into, in the arcade section near the basketball games way in the back. He went beyond, & was super helpful to help us find my dads lost object. Thankfully it was found! Thank you so much for your help Milad! You will spend $$$ here, especially if you have kids. You need to get Power Cards to play. Check the deals they have online, before coming or on the App. Those power cards go by fast! So if you have little ones, I suggest you hold onto those cards. I, myself, definitely enjoy to play & can spend $50 on games easily, smh lol. Con: I dislike the location of the paper towel dispenser in the restrooms. It's right above the trash receptacle & it's super low. When the paper towels automatically dispense, it's touching the top of the trash. Not hygienic especially when there's a stack of used paper towels or wet paper towels underneath :/ Overall, think of D&B as a Chuck E Cheese for Adults... Food, A Full Bar, Games for both Kids & Adults, Arcade Games, Tix for prizes, lots of TV's & a great place to watch sports.

    Lisa C.

We had a great time here!! The employees were so kind and helpful. We had a small issue with our card, but Nick went above and beyond to make us feel like a valued customer. So many great games for the whole family! We had an awesome time.

How far away is it from the 101 freeway and is it in a mall?

Hey there! It’s less than a mile off the 101 at the moorpark exit. The major cross street is moorpark and Hillcrest road. It’s not at the oaks mall, it’s at the janss marketplace.

    What time is power hour?

    Monday-Friday, 4:30 - 7:00pm

How many chips should I purchase for an 8 year old to enjoy the games for a max of 2 hours? I'm not sure how many chips per game.

Hi, about 300 chips would cover 2 hours of play. The best day to go is on Weekends for half price games. This way the chips would last longer or you can buy half the amount.

Is there outdoor seating available?? And can we bring out pups for outdoor dining?

    there is no outdoor dining

Wow Andy you sure have a lot to say which is all false the owners and management work extremely hard in all aspects of our business sounds like your upset we cancelled trivia? All of your accusations are false and not accurate we sell hundreds of thousands of these dishes you've mentioned all made in house and fresh with rave reviews and what's funny most people will look at your outrageous post and list and laugh at how inaccurate it is. We obviously cannot help the ranting you have made and the quiz patrons feel free to not come back if you are going to falsely slander our business they way you have. Very disappointed in the amount of false statements you've made but that what Yelp is a platform for people to hide behind rather than calling an owner or manager to discuss true facts. Good luck in your future endeavors at better restaurants we obviously aren't the place for you. so kim... exactly what did I say that wasnt true? that one of my teamates won't come anymore because your ladies room is not up to cleanliness standards? that your food is wildly inconsistent? that your managers have told me that ownership doesn't give a crap about quality? Hate to break it to you but no one in the room of 60+ people was disappointed when our quizmaster told us that we wouldn't be having trivia at the crown and anchor anymore. There were even a few cheers! and we didn't miss a single trivia night because he had pre arranged to switch our wednesday night trivia to a different restaurant that although it is an even further drive for me and my team, the food is much better, completely consistent and ownership of the restaurant takes pride in the product they put out. We have been asking our quizmaster for years to find an alternative to the crown and anchor.... We go to wednesday night trivia because we love the quality of the quiz and we suffer through your food as a sort of "necessary evil" and you can accuse me of not approaching you personally when there was a problem with a meal but the fact of the matter is that I have approached your managers several times with issues (like when the iced tea had no flavor or the fries tasted like they were cooked in filthy oil or the chili breadbowl was stale) and those same managers (multiple) said that you weren't there and you didn't really care about the product the crown and anchor put out. you could have just apologized for my negative experience but instead you accused me of lying and slander. And just because you manage to stay in business doesn't mean that you are putting out good/consistent product.

The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy. Perfect for a date night or a "let me mentally unpack my life over cocktails" hang with my best friend. What keeps me coming back? The bartenders actually listen. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.
