Cheese in quite a long time so I decided I was gonna take my granddaughter that was one and a half to the one by the forum in San Antonio this restaurant was filthy. Every birthday table had trash on it from birthday parties. All the tables were dirty. There was so much trash on the floors all over the restaurant the trash cans were full to the very top. You can't go wrong with Chuck E Cheese! This location is big and great for parties. There are riding games for the younger kids and arcade like games for the older kids. There is one staff at the register and a few in the kitchen. This location wasn't too busy on the weekday. read more

It was easier to say that's it we're done when the game card expired when they asked for additional tokens. We love the remodel! Was here on Juneteenth and the entire place had only two staff members taking care of everyone at noon on a public holiday, but they were on top of things and doing their best to make sure it all got done. The lady who met us at the entrance was patient with me as she walked me through the summer pass options and her recommendations for what to get for me and my two young boys, and saved me $40 from what I probably would have gotten if I had to do it in my own. I watched the gentleman take care of the pizza orders, do the ticket exchange, fix the fruit ninja game, and then security check me and my kids out at the exit with a kind smile, it was actually amazing to see all of what a staff member at Chuck E. Cheese needs to know how to do . Definitely one of those imaginary situations where if I were rich I'd tip them a thousand bucks each for going above and beyond, but all I could do was thank them for all their effort. We visited this location on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not very busy. The place was clean and the machines all seemed to work great. The staff was awesome!!! We have been coming here for sometime now and it's always mediocre and low on everything and broken games but lately it's been GREAT! I've noticed new staff and let me tell you, don't judge, this crew today (Friday night 6pm) THEIR ON IT HONEY. Been sitting here for 2 1/2 hours (I know boring mom but it's my life :/) and they have freshly reset the salad bar and low and behold it started getting busy so I see why the manager had everyone preparing. The manager Tyrill is the SHHHHHHH^***. Cleaning constantly, SANITIZING and always moving, never sitting still, team looks happy, customers having fun! For starters, the time frames offered for the $99 game package are meant to inconvenience customers with young children. I spoke to the manager regarding this issue due to the $28.99 a kid package not meeting my needs and therefore it being more suitable to do the $99 package and order pizza separately. he was unwilling to budge, saying that corporate set these times and spent years planning (poor planning then). He claimed to offer me some kind of discount when I arrived. He also said "parents make it work" when I mentioned these times frames are usually during hours that toddlers are asleep. Fast forward, I bring my son the birthday boy there. He rings me up a completely different bronze game package and claims that he gave me the $99 one. Also says that he is not going to give the discount he promised. I showed up at 3 pm. he did not make my pizzas until 1 hour later 4 pm which were ordered completely separate from the 4-6 party game package time. He had a conniving evil grin on his face and said I thought your kids wanted to wait. I had 2 and 5 year olds there. This manager claims to have children but made a group of toddlers wait to eat. Then he pulled an even tackier move and attempted to "confront" me about the game package I said I received to staff. who does this guy think he is trying to corner me as a customer? Nobody came to check on us. I had to tell them I was ready for the cake for chuckee to show up and the staff member who walked out to sing with him looked completely subdued. When I reached out to corporate, there was no empathy whatsoever. The staff lied telling corporate that they checked on us several times and that I agreed to a walk in party as well as a bronze game package. all lies. I have multiple guests with me that could validate that. corporate took their side and refunded me some of the costs in an attempt to silence me. it's important to note that corporate does not have any customer service skills either. I don't foresee the company lasting much longer based on their awful service to customers. the pizza also had 0 taste. just a bunch of cardboard slices. their game packages will not save them from their horrible behavior. read more

'Chunky Cheeses', is what my 4yr old son calls this place! He asks to come here all the time, he knows he can go all out here to be himself and enjoy himself for hours of fun. And...the only thing on the menu to be pizza, he is in a kid's paradise like 'Vegas' is to adults, lol. There are all kinds of games for kids of all ages for endless hours of fun! Now they have cards on wrist bands or watches that kids can easily sport and scan to each one of their games. Just ask for a bag to collect your tickets at the end of each game. Most games work but if one or two don't give out tickets its only a matter of telling the manager to fix, they know ticket rewards are precious to kids. You wouldn't think the pizza is good but it is soooo cheesy & good for any age kid, they come with stuffed crust at no extra fee for parties! Not only that but I love their endless selection of sodas! The So-Be drink is my favorite, I never see it anywhere else except out of state. They have a salad bar some times for the healthier minded. I like that, you don't have to break your diet here but your gonna need your carbs here with all the running around with kids and all! Lol. This place was fun and pretty clean. All the games and other machines were working. From what I saw. It was a bummer to see the cotton candy machine not going. Not sure if that was broken or just not on. The pizza was good. When we first arrived it took a while to get all of our game cards. We waited a while before the party planner had to go find someone to help get those. There was one other party going on at the same time as ours. It was fine except being so close to the other party people. A little more space would have been nice. The worst part of this experience was the bathroom. It was a complete disaster and very dirty. One toilet was broken and running nonstop, it was full of nastiness. Toilet paper and trash overflowing in all the stalls. It was horrible. Along with the counter at the food place. It looked dirty. I didn't see hand sanitizer anywhere. It would of been nice to have hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes throughout the place. When it was time to go, I was in line looking at the items to cash out our points. The items have really gone down hill since the last I visited this place. I bought a light up wand the Chuck e cheese head. It was $8.00 and no batteries included. Lol For $8 It at least should of had batteries! Nobody was asking if they could help us after standing there a while. Then a family cut in front of us and so we continued to look at the items and the little girl said get away from here! The only reason I have for going here is "it's a kid's birthday party." Chuck E. Cheese & friends put on a mini show for the birthday kids. They even have a chance to go into the ticket machine and try to catch as many tickets as possible while air is blowing all around them. Pizza isn't the best, but I heard it has improved. Chuck E. Cheese is younger and shorter? HA. The team could have been a little more enthusiastic cuz it looks like a bunch of human robots moving to a practiced, boring routine. The videos that come on are pretty corny, but I guess it's not for the adults. Party planners can buy little cups of coins for their guests to play. I heard stories of how parents would get drunk (cuz they serve beer?) and get into fights here. My biggest complaint about Chuck E cheese is they are overpriced. I could probably get past The overpriced pizza, salad bar etc. if the they could at least keep the facility clean but every time I have ever been to a Chuck E cheese including And specifically the location that I am leaving this review for has always been filthy. You have to clean a table your self just to get one and the soda machines are always sticky and filthy soda all over the floor and the machines as nobody monitors or maintains cleanliness. With that said the pizza is pretty tasty I wouldn't go as far as saying it's worth $13 for a large but I have had worse tasting pizza. Honestly if you're thinking about booking a pizza party at Chuck E cheese in Selma save yourself some money and consider gattis pizza For your birthday and event needs. It was hard to find a clean table so I just had to clean a table myself. Many open tables but it still had trash on them. People don't really clean up after themselves. The pizza was okay and overpriced. The chicken nuggets were horrible. Some of them were just breading, no chicken. The ones with chicken were dry. My son noticed it wasn't good, and didn't want to eat them either. There's just too many kids running around and left unattended. I know they're having fun, but they need to slow down and watch out for the younger children. The workers seemed to be doing a good job at constantly fixing the machines. I was sad to see the changes that were made. They definitely still have plenty of video games, but there's no more Chuck E Cheese's Band. (BIG SAD FACE). They now have several TV's running videos- MTV STYLE. there's definitely plenty of Birthday party space, which seems to be what they are catering to. For video games you can buy a gaming card from a machine as well as reload it with your credit card. It's running they did away with tokens, but still have tickets. I guess with the digital age it's less people interaction and more machine payments. Yeah it saves time, but loses the customer service aspect. Regardless of my feelings my 7 year old had a blast. Pizza quality was great and drinks were self serve. As a parent I liked being able to pay the difference for my Little one tiger the prize he wanted. If something was 100 it's just $1.00. So you $0.01 is worth one ticket. Good deal instead of spending a ton just to win a couple tickets. read more

Today is our toddlers birthday!!! He turned 2! We decided to bring him in to have some fun. On first appearance, I thought to myself, "this is a cute updated location". Once we walked in, I had a change of heart. Not because of the appearance but because of the size. It's smaller than most other locations I've visited in the past. I must say, the size didn't matter to my little one. He had a blast playing all the mini games for kids his age towards the back of the building. Even my 9 year old had a fun time. We got the package for 120 play tokens, 2-1 topping pizzas and 4 small drinks for $54 and we also got 50 extra tickets each child for mentioning "I need a getaway". The pizza tasted pretty good for Chuck E Cheese. We had Fernando help us many times throughout the building from cleaning our table to redeeming our ticket vouchers. He was everywhere working hard!!! I'm so happy we decided to come here. Chuck E didn't come out every 30 on the hour but for the three hours we were there, he came out twice and danced with the kids. For what it was, we had fun. This was the first time going since the newest renovation. There was a recent bad review on Google but we went ahead and tried again anyway. The whole purpose of going is the safety of having a person in front. When we went, there was a big gap in a rope and nobody to scan you. Me and my parties walked right in. Little did we know that the person at the register (which is now in the very front) is supposed to scan you. Brittnei was the one at the register and horribly slow. We had to go up & order 3 different times & each time it was a painful experience. The 3rd time, she had to help ask for some help and a guy in wheelchair and a taller girl with brown hair peeked around the corner trying to assist. In my opinion, they should've just gone to help. We were very excited for an impromptu night at Chuck E Cheese, but my boys were very disappointed that Chuck E did not come out at the time advertised on the sign, and they even had the video countdown but Chuck E did not appear. He was supposed to appear at 7:30. We were told that he would be out for a birthday party at 8:00 and he still didn't appear. One staff member said they cut down on staffing, and another said they had technical difficulties all day. He finally appeared to do a ticket drop at 8:30. I took my baby here for her 4th birthday & I have nothing bad to say! The staff was extremely helpful I think the GM was there not sure but he was a tall black man who made sure we didn't need anything a few times over the party time. Before I even arrived for my party I had called ahead and a lady named Bri answered and was very kind & helpful & had a great attitude! I asked to drop off the balloons sooner than the party time because the party city we were leaving was across the highway & it would've been easier & she made sure to make it less stressful & took them & help them until it was time for the party in the back ! When we got there Madison was the other main young lady helping us, she made sure to check not once or twice but MULTIPLE times which I really appreciated because at some points I didn't need help but others I did so it was nice she kept checking vs. me having to track her down for help. We came 11/06/2022 and the food was quick & delicious as always the kids loved the pizza & cups which are included with the party package. It was easy to book the party online all you need is $50 deposit. Then pay the rest at the party. Overall I was definitely impressed with the staff they all went above & beyond to make sure my baby had a good day. Also this location is very very CLEAN which is good to know especially during these times! The bathrooms are clean everywhere basically it's hard to find anywhere that's a mess. Luckily it wasn't crowded when we booked the party, I'd recommend trying less "popular" times if you want it less crowded. We didn't add the salad bar on but it looked fully stocked & the food there looked good as well. This is my new favorite location in town! This place makes people vomit. Literally. The place is pathetic. We had issues throughout our stay. E.g., when we came in we asked them to clean our table and despite multiple reminders it just never happened. The food was beyond bad (we expect bad from Chuck E Cheese), some of it was simply inedible. The response from staff, indifferent and unapologetic. But, here is the icing on the cake, a kid vomited on the carpet in front of us (not our kid), we reported the problem immediately to management and then waited for 30 minutes for them to clean up while reminding management every five minutes and watching little kids run over it barefoot (kids, don't run barefoot at Chuck E Cheese!). When we raised concerns about the response time to vomit clean up, we were told that everyone was in the back making pizza, so there was no one to clean up.
