This Chuck E. Cheese in Point Loma is an OG location for me. I came here as a kid, and now I'm bringing my kids full circle moment unlocked. We come here from time to time, and this location always delivers. One thing I really appreciate is that they seem to have better prize options compared to other locations. You don't grind tickets just to walk away with disappointment parents know what I'm talking about. Customer service is consistently solid. The workers here are always friendly, patient, and genuinely good with kids, which honestly makes a huge difference. Compared to some other locations, this one definitely stands out in that department. If you're in the neighborhood and you have a pass, this spot is worth it for a family outing. Only downside: parking. Between Chuck E. Cheese and the EOS gym, it can get a little wild with people coming in and out. One of the best Chuck E. Cheese I've been to in a long time. I have a five year-old so it's been a couple years going in multiple cities and states. Lol. This one still has quite a few rides and a trampoline park and obstacle course in place of the ball pit. Lots of games to play for all ages, including adults. What was new is everything is electronic now, including the tickets. I kinda miss the nostalgia of the tickets printing out. Also, there is no more old-school Chucky or the cool creepy robots and band/dancers. Chucky has a new younger vibe and walks around a greet the kids. No other characters. And now there's a big huge TV screen with kids singing instead of the characters. I miss the characters at least it was more entertaining to listen to as adults. Lol. This one had a really great seating, really good food. I was impressed with their pizza and wings, and salad, and they had beer for adults. The staff was friendly, not too attentive, but it was a random day. HE made my son's birthday awesome and he was so cool and funny such a good heart and amazing customer service he is the only reason I will ever come to this location. The outside is sketchy there's a lot of homeless people loitering but the employees are great at watching the doors and keeping the place safe. But that guy was amazing I hope he gets recognized by his boss for being great. If I could I'd promote him to the highest pay. He truly gave me hope for humanity and made my year and my sons. My 4 yr-old grandson had his birthday party here and I was very impressed with the arrangements! My daughter is a very busy mom, and all she did was go online to pay the $50 reservation for the party, choose her package and show up on the day of the party. I was quite worried that she never got in touch with the Chuck E Cheese organizers prior to the event - but I was pleasantly surprised on the actual day that the party was smoothly organized! We arrived and saw that the table and the birthday greeting were already there! The package included unlimited arcade game play for all guests, 2-hr reserved table with party set-up and a live show with the mascot. We ordered the food when we arrived (happy that they don't even charge a minimum), brought our own cake and candies, and the kids had a great time! The Chuck E's I've been to, the managers are in the back and not as helpful. This guy was useful and has a super upbeat laid back personality. Also, he helped my friends kids with the prizes while they were deciding and was not even rushing us at all. Like total chill guy. Thanks man! The next awesome part are the games and rides! I haven't seen so many different games. This must be the largest variety one. Some of the ski balls didn't work. Forgot to notify the front. Oops now you know. I do however miss the carousel. The sponge bob ball train is a favorite I haven't seen at other Chuck E's. Great way to use up points and time card. Chuck e came out twice the few hours we were there. Yes , it's changed a bit like the play climbing zone is no longer free which was a tad disappointing , but it's been updated and that was cool . The games are colorful & vibrant with many options . Food, drinks and snacks were good and fairly priced. Most of all the reason we visited here was a day of wholesome family fun and entertainment for my family & something that would hold the attention of my grandchild . Since this is a place made specifically for kids, and because kids love it here, I have to kind of give a review from their perspective as well. Asking some of the kiddos in the family, they enjoy the games, play area, and the pizza. They have a ton of fun games that kids seem to enjoy. They also have a play area so when kids run out of credits, they can play. They love the pizza, but some of the kiddos in the family like Papa John's or Bronx Pizza a little more. It's probably most kids dream come true to have a birthday party here. They pretty much rate everything 5 across the board. 5 / 5 - Games 5 / 5 - Play area 4 / 5 - Pizza 4.6 / 5 - Overall (based on the feedback I got from kids in the family). From an adult's perspective, I'm glad they created a place that kids love and can have fun at. It can get pricey, the pizza is not the greatest, and this place is sometimes messy. As someone who's worked with kids I can say; the hosts here were not friendly, helpful or welcoming. They even just shut the power off rather than announce they were closing so parents awkwardly had to calm their kids down. My child was literally mid air on the bike ride grinning when she got stuck up there because these empolles have no decorum & no interest in making the ambiance a friendly place because they wanted a to close fast. We went there today for my daughter's birthday party and she had such a great time. The thing that made this amazing for us was that we went on a weeknight! There weren't a lot of people there and my daughter's party was the only one they were hosting at the time. This gave us a sense of relief because of Covid related concerns and access to the games for the kids. Let me just say - the claw game with the balls in the middle was a crowd favorite. The balls were easy for the kids to get, so all of our kids were there and we went home with 20 or more of those rubber spikey balls that kids love to play in. Lupe was our party host and she was terrific. All of our food came out in a timely manner and the kids enjoyed all of it. We went on a Tuesday, which meant we could take advantage of the 2 for $22 deal on pizzas to add a couple to our party package. Chuck E. continues to be a funny part of every kids party. He greets the kids and is kinda awkward, but most of the kids either steer clear of him or run up to get pics with him. All in all, my daughter had an amazing time and that is all that matters. This place has been remodeled. Huge screen no more moving characters. New games and new look. Going in they stamp us (kid and I) then we order food. Pizza, Boneless wings and drinks. We also have a coupon for 2 cards 1 hour unlimited play $53.99. Total is $102. Pizza is great however the 8 nugget of buffalo wings/4 sticks of celery are dry and still cold in the middle. it looks like they just pushed them through the oven no temp control. Pizza was tasty. Some of the games were out of order and ski ball wasn't working like it should. I really don't know what it is gonna take to turn this place around. Customer service was ok. I think there were 2-3 other kids parties being held at the same time. Everyone had a great time! I wanted to personally thank the entire Team working that day: Manager Stephanie, our Personal Party Host Ernalyse (Ernie), Chloe, Victoria, Jeff, whoever cooked our food (= kid culinary god), and whoever was that tall teen quiet guy that was Chuck E. Cheese. Food was great! Plenty of games for the kids! (I think only one of them was broken). Attentive staff (even for a crowded day). Fun atmosphere for kids. Clean- even the bathrooms! Upbeat kids' music playing at a good volume. Plenty of seating. Ample parking. User friendly website. REASONABLE PRICING for a party of FIFTY (50). Cons: Cherry Pepsi was down- my favorite/waaah. If you or your child are sensitive to noise, I think many CECs have sound sensitive hours (I'm not sure what the times are- see their website). This place is loud and proud. Ironically, the volume for the kid's birthday show music was a bit low (The staff had a show for all the kids having a birthday party at that time.) Thank you, Chuck E. Cheese Team! They make an amazing stuffed crust; it's always best when they put garlic seasoning on the crust. They always have someone out front stamping and checking hands so we never have to worry.
