My wife and I were in Mission Beach and we had $20 to use at the arcade, being that it is mostly ticket games that we don't play, we decided to go to the photo booth with Marvel characters. We got it and it takes three pictures of you and we decided on an Avengers one. The picture turned out great, but when we printed it out, there was this big white vertical line down the right side. We brought it up to the lady behind the counter and she said she would get the IT guy. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to finally come around and he goes "It always does that" We expected a refund or something, but nothing. For $5 a picture, what a rip off. If it doesn't work "All the time" how about fixing it and putting an "Out of order" sign on it, so you don't waste $5 on a picture you can't use? Terrible customer service. read more

Horrible service, ok games. I took my kids here recently to play some games and bought a card which you can use to play the games. When the card gets low, you can refill it. I used the card on one of the games but the game was not responding. I tried again and still no response. I decide to go to the counter to see if someone could either take a look at the game or if i could get the credits back. I get to the counter and see 3 or 4 workers just standing there talking, no one acknowledges me. I look around some more and see one worker on the far left helping some customers and another worker on the far right helping some other people. Ok, I'm assuming there's two lines and the 3 or 4 other employees are just taking a break or something. Not a big deal, so i get in the line to the far right. There is one person currently being helped, two teens and then me. The employee finishes with the first customer and then helps the two teens. He finishes with them and when he gets to me he just turns and walks away. He does not say a word, just turns and walks away. A simple "I'll be back in a minute" or even just putting your hand up and saying "gimme a sec" would be totally fine. Instead, no communication, just walks away. I told the group of 3 or 4 people just standing there that I needed assistance and one of them went to refill my card. As i was waiting the guy who was serving the line on the far left came over and asked if I needed help. He was really friendly (he looked Asian or Mexican). Anyways, he's the only reason I'm giving that place two stars instead of one. read more

very sad and disappointed with my experience here today (2/4/22). i told Kevin that one of the machine was broken. Kevin told me to wait while he helped a family pick out prizes. while i waited he helped a little boy, which seemed unfair but no big deal. i turn around and see a couple trying to play the broken machine. so Kevin dead ass looked me straight in the eyes, shrugged his shoulders and said "welp, looks like it's working." the worst part was that i had to convince him to come out from behind the counter to take a closer look. long story short, the machine was broken and i was issued my money back but not before he reminded me that "it only charged you a dollar." read more

To sum up this arcade in it's current state: The games are all broken, overpriced, and its been that way all year. They have maybe 10 2-person games, and only one of them had the ability to play 2 players. Many other games were broken/out of order as well. Of the games that actually worked, which there were few, 2 machines would take my dollar then not do anything. The machines to check tickets on your card were all out of order. Now you finally find a game to take your money and play. Odds are its a huge version of a mobile game which costs a dollar per play though it would be free to download on your phone. It seems Belmont Park as a whole keeps getting better, but this arcade is an exception to that rule. read more

We were so excited to find an arcade but quickly realized this place is staffed with people who just don't care. 1. The games were Dirty!! 2. The fact that we counted at least 7 games that were off or broken just when we walked in 3. We had 5 games take our money but then not work 3.5. After said game Took our money we informed staff who never even attempted to fix any of the game we complained about. 4. While getting $1 back from a broken game I saw a kid walk up to said game, said to the staff " that's the game that's not working you should warn that kid" she shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. I watched that kid put in his card twice and not be able to play and he just walked away. That's $2 they scammed him out of. 5. When I asked 3 of the staff members if there was maintenance to fix the games they said "no we have to" I asked if they had training and they said No. It's obvious this place is fine letting people lose money on broken games and doesn't even want to try to do better. Avoid if you can or expect a frustrating experience. Do Better simply because you can. read more

Took my son and some of his friends to play laser tag and the workers were super friendly and helpful. We went on a week day so it wasn't too crowded. The boys (and dad) all had fun! I took off two stars because each round is only 5 min. If it was 12 min rounds and the price was a little cheaper, we would definitely go more frequently! read more

Prepare yourself, Yelpers. This is a small arcade. Any review should absolutely keep that in mind. Good mix of arcade standards, boardwalk games, and millennial enlarged mobile phone nonsense. All the machines are in pristine condition, which I have to admit is a little surprising considering the location. Everything is done through a prepaid PowerCard that tracks both your dollar and ticket balance. You can save the card across multiple visits if that's your bag, and refilling it is a snap at multiple self-serve kiosks that take cash, card, and bitcoin. Actually, I lied about the bitcoin, but wouldn't that be something? Prizes are your usual carnival garbage, but at least the ticket cost is fair for what you get. I'm ashamed to admit I opted for a fidget spinner with my 1000 tickets; it was either that or a dart gun to mess around with my cat, and I felt like I wanted to sleep easy at night. Some may have a bit of an issue with the price, as almost every game is $1 per play with a few minor games at 50 cents per -- but what can you expect from an arcade connected to a beachfront amusement park with a wooden roller coaster. You're not just paying for the game; you're paying for the experience too. All in all, Lazerblast is a small arcade that really packs a punch. Good for kids and adults. Don't hesitate to give it at least an honest look. read more

Over priced games. Meh! Wished my phone lasted long enough to take pics. But will just explain my experience at LazerBlast. Before you start to play, make sure you check in, and show the cashier about their check-in offer for the $10 for $20 deal... Oh, and can I say excellent customer service. Anyways.............. You will be surrounded by LOTS of kids. Which in my opinion, I feel weirded out, and didn't opt in to play a lot of games. I didn't want to feel rude by taking over a game. Lazerblast Arcade has a lot of games, which was meh, but sure is sorta fun, I guess when you're a kid it is fun or with a child trying to help your child win. But my heart still wins over more at any Dave & Buster's locations. As the name says it, its best to go play Laser Tag over the arcade games. And so is Rock Climbing. Other than that, as everyone has mentioned, the "arcade is ok". Prizes can be bought at Amazon dot com for cheap or at any local supermarket/toy store. ;) Just incase if you didn't know. This place is a kids wonderland! I brought a group of kids ranging 9-13 here for a 9 year old boys birthday party. I booked my party of 10 for the adrenaline party. Which included wrist bands for 10 to do lazer tag, lazer maze, zip line 2 times, sky ropes, miniature golf, and a $5 arcade card( I hope I didn't leave anything out...). We also had a table reserved underneath the roller coaster for 45 minutes. Each kid recieved a hot dog meal, chips, lemonade or flavored lemonade, and a dole frozen dessert. This party package was a great value! The kids loved the Lazer tag and lazer maze so much! They just kept going around and around. The arcade itself was nice, easy to find, and clean. We only found one game that was malfunctioning. The kids won lots of tickets, candy, and prizes! Everyone was very happy. read more

We've been to this arcade a few times and we've always had an absolute blast... That's pretty reasonable as far as moneywise compared to other places... I love it, it has so many surrounding food places and so many other things to do in the area but when we come visit we always spend at least 1 to 2 hours in the arcade!!! read more

Belmont Park is a place that anybody that is visiting San Diego stops at. The Lazerblast Arcade has been there as long as I can remember. I'm not sure when they did their most recent remodel - but it's a nice upgrade. The arcade is filled with games for all kinds of ages and Lazer Tag. The only draw back is the restroom is not located in the arcade - it's a public restroom a brisk walk out the door. Can be a problem when you are 'in the zone' with your favorite game. read more

Purchased this for my 7 year old son and I. You get 2 rides for $15. They staff was friendly and made me not o my feel comfortable but safe. It was something I did not think I would ever do. Its a small arcade yet they have hours of fun games. nd I've never actually tried the laser tag, yet we always have fun playing the games. Good Skee-ball, video games, etc. Very popular with the 6 year old nephew. We like that the staff is always helpful, friendly and patient -- which must be hard to do day after day. So I know I'm an old fogie who is just griping about the way things used to be when she was young, but these games are really over-priced. I'm comparing it to Chuck E Cheese, where everything still costs a single token (less than 25 cents). Here games start at 50 cents and go up from there. There's some nice variety, but the games are *short*. Air hockey ending after 5 points?!?!? Every other place I've ever been goes to 7. Everything is electronic, so you put money on a card and swipe to play. "Tickets" go on the card too, so there's no actual paper to carry around. The system seems to work well enough, and there are machines where you can check your ticket balance. I appreciate that there are prizes starting at just 10 tickets. Sure, it's only little pieces of candy, but that means that kids who don't rack up a lot of tickets can still redeem for something. read more

I have been there for the laser tag. The arena accommodates 16 people per game of 8 mins. Each game costs you $7/person. Also there is $20 unlimited games. They don't issue a report card as issued by other laser tag arenas. This is the only down side. But overall ,we liked it. Perfect weekend getaway for San Diego locals. read more

This was a nice quaint place for a date. It sits right next to the beach and there's a lot of areas to go travel after the arcade. Now Im sure its a standard of arcades now, however to play a game its a 1$. In my book that only give you 20 mins of gameplay if your willing to spend 20 dollars to split between you and your date. This review is for the arcade. We were at the park yesterday and were walking into the arcade with our three year old. Being a three year old and excited it ran into the arcade from the east entrance and tripped over a game with a 2 inch platform that is sticking out in the walkway. He scrapped up his knee and bit the inside of his lip. I tripped over it trying to get to him, also not seeing it. This game being in that location is totally negligent. My husband went to talk to the manager and tell them what happened. Not only did the guy not ask if my son was okay and offer any sort of assistance or compassion, he told my husband they are not responsible for the way the game was made and were not obligated to fix it. While that is true (and we didn't ask him to fix anything) the park is responsible for it's placement in the arcade, or not having some sort of barrier up around the platform so people can't trip over it. Not only this but the manager said "people trip over it all the time" and continued to let us know it's not his problem or that of the parks. I not so kindly let him know that when someone does trip over the game and gets really hurt and sues it will be your problem. I am really disgusted with the lack of concern over your guests safety. read more

Groupon has three $50 power cards for $50. This provided over an hour of entertainment for my five kids. I would do this deal again. Every machine worked great. The tickets are added to the power card as you play so you don't have to hold a ton of paper tickets as you play. We went on a Saturday night and it was really busy but we still able to play any game we wanted without much of a wait. They also have laser tag, $8 per game or $20 for unlimited (we did not try it). Prizes are okay. The machine seem to pay better then most other arcades. read more

My new favorite hobby is laser tag. I'm a grown @$$ woman, and I love laser tag. This was only the 2nd laser tag establishment that I have been to, but it was pretty good. It seemed clean, there is a big robot that shoots your opponent if you can shoot it between the eyes. The rest of the arcade is ok. I had a good time, but serious arcade-goers might not be too impressed. I used the $10 for $20 deal. The staff were very kind and let me buy a game card despite the fact that they were closing in 10 mins. I will definitely return for the laser tag. I'm not ashamed to admit it. read more

This arcade is awesome. I always come down here when I come to San Diego. This is also one of my favorite spots in San Diego. I always come here from LA and walk the boardwalk and go down to the beach. Oh and I rent a bike too. Really fun and great spot! And best of all, parking is abundant! It's always worth the trip! This weekend i took my two kids and their friend down to belmont park after their baseball game. We were mostly doing the rides but decided to check out the arcade. The arcade was amazing, one of the best I've been to. The game selection was great. It was nice to see the classic games from back when i was kid like Galga. Also they were very generous with tickets and the prizes were great. The only downside which almost ruined it was the customer service behind the counter from one employee. My son was asking for a prize very nicely when one of the employees gave him a dirty look and said something along the lines of hurry up. If i remember correctly her name was Sydney or Cindy. Absolute amazing place. Not just this arcade, but the whole atmosphere. Arcade is very clean and very maintained. The best part is the yelp check in. Buy $10 get $10 free. This cuts down the average game price to 50 cents instead of $1.00. I definitely recommend getting it if you want to spend awhile at this arcade. The yelp check in lasts about an hour of arcade play. Lots of new games as well like jersey wheels and space invaders frenzy. Another thing good about this place is that jackpots are much higher than anywhere else. Our daughter had attended a birthday party at the Lazerblast Arcade a couple of years ago, but at the time she couldn't quite work up the courage to ride the zipline. Fast forward to today when we brought her to face her fears before attempting a zip line in Hawaii. She was excited up until the point at which she started climbing the ladder. The fear set in, and she was almost in tears at the top of the platform. When it was her turn to ride, an employee named Jay encouraged her to walk out to the edge. He sat with her and helped her work through her fears for almost 5 minutes. By the time she finally lifted her feet to start the zip there was a crowd cheering for her on the sidewalk below. When she got to the other side she was elated that she had finally done it, and enthusiastically marched back to do it again. Every employee smiled and asked if she had fun or congratulated her for going through with it. Not one person showed any frustration that she took up so much time on the platform. The employees at Lazarblast are an impressive group! It was an important moment for my daughter, and all of the employees that she came in contact with made it ever more special. read more
