This is going to sound so random, but I haven't been to a "Chuck E Cheese" since it was Showbiz Pizza!!! I remember having all my birthday parties at Showbiz when I was a little kid. And, truth be told, once Chuck took over, I vowed never to go back. It just wouldn't be the same. And to add insult to injury, all the Chucks on the island seem kinda sketch. But fast forward. Kapolei opened it's own Chuck E Cheese a little while back and I have admired it from afar. One night, I had a real hankering for some good pizza - not "fast food" pizza like Domino's, etc...but good pizza. I don't frequent Brick Oven or Round Table because they don't carry beef. And I am a simple pizza eater: beef and onion. Don't knock it till you try it! Anyway, so I figured we should try Chucks. I remembered how yummy Showbiz's pizza was back in the day so I was holding onto hope that, at the very least, they would keep the same tasty pizza. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint!! So we walk in and were immediately greeted. Of course it was busy, but I knew it would be. The place was immaculate! So clean and new still! A major plus. We decided...gasp...to order our food and eat it in there! So we ordered a medium pizza with beef and onion, a small Aloha pizza, an order of breadsticks, and two drinks. It was over $50!!!! That's just crazy talk! For a create-your-own, they charge you for each topping. But in all, that is actually the only downfall. It was amazingly good pizza, just like I remembered, but I also paid for it Their salad bar looked delicious but extremely pricey, especially considering it was NOT all you can eat. But there are unlimited refills on drinks. The entire staff seemed friendly. The manager came and checked on us twice, even cleared our table for us. New location in Kapolei - we had our son's birthday here today. Kiara was our party host and although she seemed slightly novice to the task, she did a really good job! Pizza and drinks came out at the time promised, everyone enjoyed themselves and went home with something earned at the ticket counter. I had to take off one star because my son's name was misspelled. Even though they rectified it, he's 5 and he noticed it was wrong. I watched Richard write it correctly in the book when I made the reservation which means whomever wrote his Birthday Star name tag and hat didn't take the 2 seconds to double check and do it correct the first time. I don't think it was Kiara as the package was handed to her already complete, but I could be wrong. My own name isn't common but it's not entirely unusual either and my name was also misspelled on my parent name tag. The whole point is to be a personalized party experience, I think it's just respectfully important to get the birthday child's name correct for them when they arrive. Additionally, management should film all the blue shirts (supervisors, I presume) when it's time to sing and dance and have them review their facial expressions while they perform. The Chuck E. Cheese that we went to was in Kapolei. First time in a long time I have not been in this new restaurant. At first, I wasn't sure what the employee was doing to take a group picture. And I realize it was our identities that we officially left their restaurant. The restaurant was huge for parties. They had lots of games to keep the children busy. i notice everything was accepted by cards electronically. No coins anymore and tickets. The bathroom was huge and cleaned. The whole area was cleaned and spacious. What also caught my eye. I like the breakdown of the menu selection. i was amaze how fast the food came out. The pizza & cookie dessert were so tasty. One of the better locations I have been in compared to the ones I have been in Cali. Tons of parking in their private lot and the facility is clean, roomy and well air conditioned. The staff was friendly and inviting to their guests of all ages. And surprisingly, the food was pretty good! Pizza and wings were served hot and fresh and was quite tasty. They have awesome combinations that include food, drink and tokens. I had a great time with my three year old nephew. We had our 6 yr-old's birthday party here today. He talked about it for months! My husband and I dreaded the day. I have five boys (3 to 15) and have never said yes to a Chuck E. Cheese party. However, it was a rough year and it's all our son wanted. It turned out to be a SURPRISINGLY stress-free experience for us and it delivered all the fun and excitement our kids wanted. Totally worth it! The service and the pizza were good. We chose the birthday package with the unlimited play cards. 1000% worth it! We scheduled the birthday party at opening time on a weekday. Hosted my nieces birthday party here on Saturday March.2 with a party size of 33 people. The wait to be seated was around 20 minutes. Shortly after we were seated the food was brought out to our table. The package included coins in which we counted personally and were shorted 100 coins! We also opted to buy an additional 300 coins because of the party size and that too was shorted 8 coins. Im not sure how they are dispersing these coins, but had we not counted them we would have been ripped off a total of 108 coins! The server was extremely rude, she did not pay any attention to detail and when asked for red pepper and cheese she pointed and said "its over there" expecting us to go and get it off the employee counter our selves. The drinks were all brought out at room temperature with no ice in them overall she was not personable or professional. The whole time we just felt rushed, she kept asking for my niece to go into the ticket blaster while we were all still eating!!! At this point we went and spoke to a manager about the service we were receiving. The manager came by and assisted with the party, but we still were not offered any form of compensation or apology that was worthy of changing our experience with this place. My niece did not feel special and we left full of regret that so much money was spent on a below average party! I decided to make my 2 years old daughters birthday party here very last minute. I called a week and a half prior to the party. The party person that answered the phone was very helpful and was able to explain to me what all the packages included. I booked the party that day i called and put down a $20 deposit (for the number of people we were having). The day of the party we arrived 15 minutes before, they took us to the back area where the party was located. Our party person was awesome! The food came out quickly and any questions i had she was able to answer it. The only downfall of having a party here is that you only have the table for 90 minutes. After the party is done, you get moved to tables to the side which is fine as well. If you decide to book a party at Chuck E. Cheese make sure your guest arrive on time, my guest didn't. Also our party was on a Saturday in the afternoon so it was really busy. Lots of people in the game room area. Thank you Chuck E. Cheese for making my daughters second birthday memorable. OMG this place is so popular it's packed with children and their parents. It's great that Chuck E Cheese came to the West Side and build such a huge restaurant. The parking lot is also big and offers lots of stalls. Like all Chuck E Cheese locations they have their safety measures which is great. The food menu is the same and the games are pretty much your standard Chuck E Cheese regulars. We went on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed and the noise volume was through the roof. Children were definitely having a blast. Our visit there was for a birthday party. Their party team took care off everything and was awesome. The only down side was you only have your party area for 90 minutes then your whole party is moves to ONE Booth. Went for a birthday party tonight. Super fun!! They have arranged the dining area to allow for social distancing (if that matters to you). The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a salad which was actually pretty good, cheese and pepperoni pizza and chicken nuggets. The pizza was awesome. All the food was pretty good considering you're at a joint for kids. Let me begin by saying that this is by far the best Chuck E Cheese as far as cleanliness and size is concerned. Its brand new, and it outshines all the other locations in that respect. The place is fairly large. It doesn't feel overcrowded, even with the whole West side of the island in there. We celebrated our son's birthday party here recently. I called a couple days ahead to make a reservation. No problems there, or so I thought. I actually called 4 times in two days, the last a few hours beforehand to inquire about cakes. Three different people on the phone all told me the same information: 1. My reservation was from 430-6pm 2. There is no outside food allowed. 3. I could buy a cake there at the time of the party. So you can imagine how my wife felt when they told us they thought we were coming at 630 instead of 430, that our food wasn't ready yet, and that I could have brought my own cake instead of buying theirs. It was a mess right out of the gate. Oh and top of that, my last phone call that I mentioned previously, it was to change from the $15.99 package to the $11.99 package. So after we left and my wife told me how much they charged her, I knew someone messed up. I can understand that these are kids running the show (even the manager was half my age, and I'm fairly young myself), but there is a serious disconnect. I was very specific in what I wanted and I got something totally different. Fortunately for them my son is only 4 and he didn't know the difference. The tried to reconcile with free pizza, and a free birthday cake, but the damage was irreparable. A fun place for a family outing! Came here with my family on a Wednesday (during Summer break) it wasn't too crazy crowded. We came at 11 when they opened and there were already quite a bit of people there. A lot of tables sit at and a very clean establishment. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, a large salad ($8.99 one trip salad bar) and a cookie pizza ($7.99) The pizza is delicious! I love Chuck E. Cheese pizza, it is a little on the greasy side but it's a guilty pleasure! I would say a large pizza could feed a family of 4 of 2 semi hungry adults and if you have 2 kids that will eat 1 slice each lol. It's not super filling so if y'all are big eaters go with the XL or 2 pizzas. The salad bar is a good choice, lots of fresh options and if you are a professional salad stacker (since it's only 1 trip and whatever you can fit in your plate) it makes a really go side salad for 2 adults. I'd say that large salad is a better deal than the small for $5.99, which is a small bowl. The cookie pizza was good but I wouldn't order again. I don't know if it was under cooked but it looked a little paler than the advertised picture and I tasted a little bready/floury to me. Big open lot, free parking. ENVIRONMENT: Much more spacious then other chuck e cheese locations on the islands. Everything is new, and the games are updated. Lots of options for everyone here!! Very clean (which is rare for a place like this) very well maintained. STAFF: Amazing! Usually with any new business everyone is kind of running around like a chicken with their head cut off, not here, the staff is ON IT! Constantly cleaning, fixing, helping, everything!! We were helped by Ryan who was amaze balls!! We were lucky enough to have a large birthday party on a Thursday night, we called in the morning and then boom reserved two very long large tables for the same night. While we were playing games they constantly had employees helping fix games, update paper for the picture taking, just being helpful! Wayyyyy different from other locations on the islands. 2 words sum up this place....Sensory Overload. This Chuck E. Cheese is alot smaller than others we have been to and most of the games are similar to that of Dave and Busters where you drop a coin and push a button, instant gratification. It is loud in here, kids are hyped up on mountain dew. You get the picture. What I do love is that $30 goes a looooooooong way as each machine only requires 1 coin to play (even the little cars and mini carousel) $30 gets you 130 tokens and it was more than plenty for my son AND his friend to play with and we still went home with 20 tokens to use in the future. It is plenty and honestly $20 or $10 worth of tokens would be more than enough for 1 kid. Facility is pretty clean and so were the restrooms. What do you mean no tables? Ooh that's why. We came here because the 6yo saw the sign a couple of weeks ago and of course, I have to keep my promise when I said we'll visit. Being brand new of course, it was busy. When we tried to get a table not surprisedly, there's a wait. Like an hour wait. It worked out because the boy didn't want to eat, he wanted to play. I could swear I got a crick in my neck looking down to watch out for the keikis running around everywhere. Dr Morelli here I come. Read that review right? Well this review can't cover the food because I didn't have a seat to enjoy the meal but they're the standard Chucky Cheese layout. A stage that has long rows of tables in front and the partition to separate the gaming area. And booths scattered here and there. Chuck E has all the modern games and some classics you see everywhere else. There's skee-ball and the one arm bandit machine and all the others. Unlike Lucky Strike Social Honolulu (I know you read that review), the games here reward physical tickets that you have to feed into the ticket counter machine for an accurate count to give to the gift shop for claiming prizes. Someplace in there I feel I should have placed a period. Overall four stars. Place is busy and noisy and it's expected. Parking is easy and spacious. Food not rated in this review. Not quite five because even if they're busy they should clean the tables more often and empty out the trash more frequently. And tell people no camping. I am in love with this new Chuck E Cheese location. It beats Johnny Rockets "and" Fun Factory which are both in Kapolei. Spacious everything! Spacious parking lot. As soon as you enter, the waiting area is super spacious and welcoming. The facility is very clean and cool. I love it that you are able to move freely and happily without bumping into another person like how it is at the Pearlridge location!!! The are so many seats available and they aren't all grouped closely together. The reserved area for birthday celebrations is very nice and big too. The seating is perfect. I love how the stage is divided away from where the seats are at because now all the little kids can jump and dance freely when the characters come out instead of having to fight the tightness of space. A big thing I noticed was that the food just kept coming and coming. That was a big surprise for me because this location is very new so I expected delays with the food, but no damn. Not only did the food come out on time, it was also very delicious, and fulfilling. There is not only enough staff on board but everyone seems to be working. I love that a lot and I hope it stays this way!!! I see managers greeting and interacting with guests, they are asking us how is it going, and that's really good!! I also love it that the characters are out here walking around interacting with the kids and making time to take pictures with the kids- it just enhances the kids' experience here at this location. Week days are the best to go. Not to crowded. Holidays and weekends are really busy so get ready for a bit of a wait for games and food. Some days games are all open, some there's a few broken. But it's the best place for me to take the kids and give them a chance to "be kids" and for mom rest and eat her favorite salad bar and wings. read more

Every other Saturday I bring my children here to enjoy the AC, chicken wings, and the cheap games. Sometimes it'll be crowded but no one hogs the games. Held my daughter's birthday party here and purchased the Mega Fun package. Came with all you can play game passes for 2 hrs, goodie bags, 3 medium pizzas, collectible cups (which you can use for free drinks at future visits), party hats, Dippin dots icecream, time in the ticket blaster for the birthday star, birthday band for the birthday star with all you can play pass on it for 2 hrs, tickets vouchers for the birthday star (I forgot how many tickets but it was a lot), birthday song, table covers and plates. It was very easy to reserve--I reserved the week before for about 17 people. Our party planner Lala was very helpful and my daughter had a blast. We added on a birthday cake which was also good and other food item because the adults were still hungry. The only thing I wish I knew about was that there is a military party package which you had to reserve before our party so we missed out on that. I didn't see it on the flyer and only found out about it because I asked if there was military discount at the party. We were able to hang out at our table after our 2 hrs were up but ended going home because our all you can play pass stopped shortly after that. I'll give this place 4 stars, because my kids enjoy coming often, and it's in a great location! Sometimes, parking can be scarce on the weekends during the evening hours, but that's expected anywhere. The only complaint would be that the prices are RIDICULOUS now, (which is also expected, pandemic kine things), and they are very understaffed. When it's busy, you should be prepared for the weekends. However, I give credit to the worker who was running food tonight in the blue shirt (I think he was a manager?) He was on it. We waited about 40 mins for our food and it was time to go, so we requested a refund, and this gentleman was so apologetic, and even let us take the food anyways plus keep our refund. Went here tonight with my two little ones and all three of us had an amazing time. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner considering the dinner time peak for families. We had the appetizer sampler and specialty pizza. EVERY staff member we interacted with tonight from the door greeter, food/game cashiers, servers, game floor helpers, and the guys making sure the eating areas were constantly cleaned up after, was pleasant and professional. This Friday night crew was on point. The guys that maintained the food distribution and kept the dining area clean and sanitized were hustling! Shout out to them. Had my baby grandaughters 3rd Birthday at the Kapolei location this year. I opted for the 10:30 slot on A Sunday which I feel is the best time as you beat the crowd. For this location please understand that it gets more crowded than any other location in my opinion. By about 11:30 there was a line out the door with a large crowd standing around outside. So opt for early or maybe last party time unless you want it so crowded that you cant really play the games. For the party...i had 8kids and 13 adults, total 21. I did the $11.99 party package for 10 which comes with 10 tokens per person, 15 for the birthday girl/boy and 2 medium pizza's. I bought 200 extra tokens for $40. For the adults I bought 4 large pizzas, 2 appetizer samplers, 2 baskets of fries, 10 drinks, 5 salads. Total bill was $350 * I bought my own dessert, cupcakes and a minnie mouse birthday cake. Our server was Kona, who was a very nice and attentive young man. He was up front in saying he was new, on the job only two weeks, but I have to say I thought he did a good job for only being there 2 weeks! All in all the party went well but here are a few things I would have done different. My cake as you can see in the picture was really nice, however the manner in which it was cut pretty much mangled the whole cake to where I couldn't take the rest home. Kona struggled with cake cutting and serving as he was using a cake server to cut the cake versus a knife, then proceeded to cut it in 4's before trying to slice it in pieces. So that already kind of ruined it then cutting it with a cake server which is not sharp or meant for cutting just mangled it and made it not appetizing to anyone. And he struggled with getting pieces on the plates. I know he meant well, but this is an area that maybe speaks to the training. I would recommend that if you opt to take a cake or have any cake, that you cut and serve it yourself, and take a knife or ask for one. It was hard to watch this poor guy struggle but I felt bad to jump in and take it over although i wish i did so i didn't end up throwing away more than half a cake. One of the large pizzas i ordered later in the party took a long tome to come out and didn't come until everyone had already had dessert. The entertainment here is good but nothing like Pearl City where we had the Birthday last year. It is almost like a really fun show at the Pearl City location. Near the area where the slide is there was a strong smell of poop that just didn't go away up until we left, so i assume someone went somewhere and it wasnt cleaned up. So I would recommend maybe a manager or someone walk around to take notice of this stuff and clean it if for no other reason the smell and sanitary aspect. Positives So with all that said, I like that this location is convenient for those of us who live in Makakilo/Kapolei. I like that it has good parking. The staff are very nice and friendly The food was good and salad bar area clean All pluses! Negatives: The birthday show part is better at Pearl City. Few games broken Some games took coins and did not produce the game. Stepping over DOLLARS to grab a few pennies..... On 5/28/2019, Tuesday my kid had 93 tickets left to get prizes. I saw a pair of funny sunglasses that we could use for an upcoming First Birthday party. The cost was 500 tickets. There was a red sign posted behind the prize counter that ONE CENT = ONE TICKET. I gave the associate $4.10 to cover the 407 ticket deficit. The girl handed me the funny sunglasses Then after a manager (some guy in a blue collared shirt) said I owed 26 CENTS because of TAX??? The red sign behind the counter does not say anything indicating TAX on the purchased tickets. Should I be like those ridiculous people who sue for $1 MILLION on this violation of Consumer Rights? When you let children run businesses, they run it into the ground. Came here to celebrate my nephews first birthday, and let me tell you, THIS WAS THE WORST CHUCK E CHEESE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. We ordered our food at 5:30ish, two pizzas and a sampler patter. Plus the drinks and tokens..it all came out to about 120 dollars worth of food. Received our simple pepperoni pizza 20 min later, but never got our cheese pizza or sampler platter. All while this is going on, I can see employees running around, eating cupcakes in the back, walking around like zombies from the Walking Dead. Not really paying attention to their customers or really anything that's going on in their dining rooms. Finally, 6:20 or so..we still didn't get our apparently tricky to make cheese pizza, the table next to us got there 20 min ago and they have all their food. So I'm pissed, my fiancé's pissed, and our entire family is fuming. If I knew that cheese pizzas were that hard to make, I would have saved them the trouble walked across the street to Pizza Hut and brought it from there. Not like they would have noticed, since they were all too busy dicking around eating cupcakes and basically being millennial teenagers. After a little over an hour, our pizza finally arrived and my family was finally fed. My apologies to the manager on duty who got yelled at but hold your employees accountable. We visited this Kapolei location for the first time on a Wed around 430/5pm. The games are all new and most are different from the Pearl City location, which was very exciting. We spent 2x's as much on games as we usually do. The food was good and parking is plentiful. The waiting area is very large and comfy as well. But with all those things going for them I was kind of bummed with the overall experience. I'm just guessing, but they seem either under staffed or generally overwhelmed at this location. There were a lot less smiles and greetings by staff (maybe 2 smiles, zero greetings - besides the door person). We moved tables a couple times as friends arrived and every table we had to clean off and wipe down ourselves. There was rubbish on the floor throughout the eating and gaming areas. The food took significantly longer to arrive, compared to PC. The poor girl at the prize counter had 2 lines with 5 families in each line, it took a good 15-20mins to get though. Its very hard to find anyone working behind the counter for order foods and exchange tickets for toys.

Celebrated my sons 5th birthday here today. Decided to try this location out since it is the newest location on the island. Our waitress, Kiara was attentive and did a good job bearing with us as we made decisions on what kind of pizza and drinks to get. We ended up with a bunch of pepperoni, cheese, and supreme pizzas for our party. All the pizzas where pretty good and give you that but of nostalgia from eating the same pizza you used to as a child. The staff did a great job making sure our pitchers were full and were very helpful with cleanup. The games are all family friendly and entertaining. They do a great job burning a hole in your pocket but it is what it is. Overall, my son was very happy (when he wasn't being scared of Chuck-E) with the whole party, so that's all that matters to me. read more

So far so good with this Chuck e Cheese. First, there seems to be plenty of parking. Not sure if it's because maybe people don't realize it is open for business or what. We just went to play games so I can't speak for the food. It was nice to see the characters were constantly walking around, greeting & playing with the keiki. read more

My family and I are so happy that a CEC is finally open on the west side, we've been here numerous times since they have opened. The food always taste great and doesn't take very long to come out, I like how when they bring out the food they always check to make sure if I have more coming or if that's the whole order. I like how it doesn't feel so cluttered in this location compared to the ones in Kalihi and pearl city. We've had two walk in birthday parties and has been lucky enough to be able to get the long tables in the front. I seem to notice afternoons and weekends tend to be really busy. They open at 10am and I find it rather odd that they seat everyone that comes in, pretty much all together in one spot, even when their aren't very much people. A few times they did this and when I asked to sit somewhere else they said they have to seat us because it's going to get crowded. I'm one that prefers to not sit in the middle of other big groups when their are other tables a little ways over that Are available. That didn't make sense also because a couple hours later the few people who came in just basically sat wherever they wanted. Other than that, I don't mind because my kids love it here, it's affordable, fun, and safe. The workers at the front are very good at checking and making sure your child leave with the person they came with. read more
