Our first birthday party here. We had a great experience, as everything was taken care of by the staff. And I mean everything! We brought our own cake. My daughter had an awesome time with her friends and family. Raneliza was our host and did a great job keeping everything on time. Also great job by manager Mike for checking on us frequently making sure we were happy. I would definitely recommend coming here to have a party for your kids. Kids love it here. They always accommodate us. They are not as strict here as the Pearl City location. It is a big plus for the kids, but not as much for me. I know the employees here are hosts, and not babysitters, and it's the parents responsibility to discipline their kids. But I really draw the line when an employee tells the kid not to do something, and the adult goes off on this employee, and nobody does anything about it. The employees here don't enjoy their job, and it reflects deeply on their faces. I used to work at Farrell's in the 70's. Gotta balance the environment bettwen fun and environment. Pearl City location is stricter about enforcement of their rules. And their employees show it. Their employees and cast members interact with the adults. I've seen employees challenge kids to a video game and let them win, costumed cast will hug or prank an adult. It maybe a drive to Pearl City. But it's hard to tell your kids not to do something when everybody else is doing it. And when your kids insist on coming here for their birthday. Update: had to raise my star rating a little. Because the kids love it here. So it's a compromise. It's a kids place. Food and coupons are worth looking for. Good value. Overall opinion... Just go there, release the kids, get a corner booth, pizza, coffee and your smartphone. Hide there until your kid is ready to fall asleep for the ride home. Like a Bark Park for kids. Pro tip: look for the midweek coupon and go on a week day I love so many things about this place....the pizza is actually pretty good, the salad bar is ok, and the drinks are refillable. The party's for families are fun. But my favorite part is how they stamp you and you kids when you get in so that no one can steal your kids! The character cast scares the pants off my boys. They are not happy when they come out every so often and I'm constantly watching and looking like a lunatic waving at them like, "no, no, not hi, please don't come over here and hug my kids" We did a birthday party here and it was great. I over ordered, but that's a personal problem. I love that they don't let you bring decorations because that takes so much out of the planning for me, and no clean up??? Yes please and thank you very very very much. You can bring your own cake and they will cut and serve for you and you get the coupon chamber option. The games are hit or miss and will often eat your tokens and/or not give you the tickets you "win" but really, the prizes are not anything to write home about so we just go for the entertainment not for the junk you get with the tickets. Came here for my son's 4th birthday on a Tuesday night. I was expecting a typical dad nightmare at Chuck E. Cheese, but was pleasantly surprised at just how well run this pace was. The manager was a younger guy, not much older than most of the other staff here, but you could tell he was on point with managing the rest of the staff here. The place was immaculately cleaned, the food was really good, and the staff was proactive with making sure the kids were having a good time. The staff actually came to our table and asked if we were celebrating anything and if my son wanted Chuck E Cheese to come out for a birthday celebration. Overall, this is probably the most pleasant experience my family has had at a Chuck E. Cheese. Clean, efficient, and well run, I highly recommend coming here with the family. read more

I have mixed feelings when it comes to Chuck E Cheese's. My sons love it here because of the games and prizes. And I will admit - the food is AWESOME. But if you're thinking of hosting a birthday party here for your child, here are some wise words of advice: 1) confirm, re-confirm, then re-confirm again your reservation - head count, birthday boy/girl's name, etc. I would recommend physically going down there to re-confirm, not just over the phone. 2) expect spotty service. Our server was awesome with setting things up for us, but after our show was over, she was no where to be found, because she was tending to the next party reservation. Had to chase her down to get our water pitcher refilled, to get our check, to get boxes for our leftover food, etc. 3) be familiar with what your party package includes. I almost forgot about the ticket blaster. Lucky my friend reminded me about it when he did, I chased down our server and asked her when the ticket blaster would occur. I have a hunch if I had not asked about it, she would have forgotten about it. Aside from the sub-par service, Chuck E Cheese is a GREAT venue for a kid's birthday party, because there's not much you have to provide except goodie bags and cake (if you are inclined to bring your own). read more

We had a so much fun at this place during our 3 yrs old bday. We got the mega package for 10 kids. That package was the best! The place was decent to throw a bday party. The kids and parents had so much fun. The manager Suzanne was very accommodating. We can see that they were short staff but nonetheless they delivered. Loooove this place. I actually went to the one by Kahala side many moons ago when my daughter at the time made 1 yrs. Old now she has a Son who will be making 7 yrs. I come quite often because that is all my toddler ever wants to go. But I come here enough to notice a few things. Employees here "pretends" to do something just so they don't get in trouble. And it's ridiculous things. Tell me why there has to be 2-3 employees carrying one small tray of pizza and the other one carry a basket of wings? It could have been done by one person! I see all these employees all standing at the game machine playing some games while a few customers are waiting to be helped and no one notices them. Do better! My review is mainly on it during this Covid-19. One day we were craving pizza not just any pizza but Chuck E. Cheese pizza! So we decided to chance it and call to see if they did take out, and they answered the phone and said yes!!! They also do delivery but I think you have to have one of those food delivery apps. We ordered a large pizza which is about $20, and $2.99 for additional toppings. While I went to pick it up, I did see that they were open to the public with kids inside. Maybe like 2 families at most and a lot of games not in service. But when u enter, they take your Temperature at the door. Decided to bring my grandson here as a surprise! This is our first time at this location and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at the size of the place. I like the spaciousness of the gameroom and they have alot of good games for the kids and adults who like play. The party area is a good size too. Oh and they have more tables for families to sit on too. I have to say though that the line to order food and the exitway is way too close to each other. People who are exiting have to walk in the middle of the line. I bought the #1, a medium pizza (one topping), 3 drinks and 30 tokens for $32 and I also bought a large salad separately for $8 (salad bar is a one time trip only). Not bad for $40 and 2 hours. I wish they would lower the prices on the food though. I included a pic of the menu for your convenience. The manager, Mike, is very nice and has a good sense of humor. I like the fact that I see the manager and employees constantly walking around and checking on the guests. Good job. Heads up...Parking is a bear so be prepared to go around in circles for a stall or just park on the street. There is a 2 hour max on the meter so have quarters. Main thing my grandson had a blast! Rating: 3.5 We attended a 7th Birthday Celebration of one of our friend's daughter at Chuck E. Cheese. We rode Uber going there but my friend got $20 ticket because of "overstay" parking for 1.5 hours so better take note of that. It's my first time there. Our friend got the Mega Super Star Party Package. The party was from 10:30am to 12:00pm. There were many tables and chairs for the reserved birthday party. It's a pretty nice venue but the AC was quite low (or just too many people inside). They had goodie bags for the kids and tokens for the kids and the child at heart to use. They also gave free Chuck E. Cheese reusable cups for kids which means.. Free Soda refill for life (or until Chuck E. Cheese is still in operations). You can check their website for their Birthday Party Packages. The staff were ok. Everyone seemed very hardworking but I feel they lack people. Imagine, 4 kids were celebrating their Birthdays that time.. it's was very crowded and only 1 staff per birthday celebrant and their guests. The program flow for the birthday celebrant was fun but it's too short. Program Flow: 1.) Birthday Celebrants were called in front waiting for Chuck E. Cheese 2.) Chuck E. Cheese says hi to the Celebrants and kids 3.) A very quick dance number with Chuck E. Cheese with the Celebrants and kids. Staff were guiding the kids with the dance steps. 4.) Singing happy birthday /Blowing of Bday cake candle of the celebrant - that I wish Chuck E. Cheese mascot was with them but it's not. (By the way, you can bring your own cake) 5.) very quick picture taking with the celebrant and their family with the Chuck E. Cheese cardboard (that I wish it would be better if they had the picture with the Chuck E. Cheese mascot instead) 6.) Very quick Pinayata game 7.) The Celebrant get to choose a friend to come with and go inside this machine for 60 sec to get all the tickets you can get. I forgot whats it called but cool stuff! We had chicken tenders and pizzas for snacks - they were good especially the Super Cauli Crust Pizza. So so love that! They also serve unlimited Lemonades and Soda. I did not try those drinks but my husband said the Lemonades were refreshing but too sweet. They have cool arcade games but mostly for kids from 4-8 years old. It's kind of sad that the items in the redemption booth were really expensive. Like you need to play and have lot's of luck to play in one day just to claim a small plushie. Never thought I'd ever have to write a review for this place because I frequent this place A LOT with my daughter. Today stood out to me, also because we realized that there were new games!!! Yay!! Well today stood out to me because every employee I encountered today was super super friendly. I never notice this from prior visits but I really wish the customer service like today stays consistent. The manager walked around to see if everyone was doing okay, and wow was he very sweet with great customer service skills. The missing one star goes to the lack of consistency with customer service. Like I said, I've been here A LOT!! Today, out of many many visits, just stood out. There HAVE been times I've come across workers with an attitude. We came here for a few times, and always for our kids and their friends. My kids really have a blast, both 4 and 2 years old. For me, I really can't compare this location to any other and personally, the last time I probably was in a Chuck-E-Cheese was when I was there age. It seems that no matter what day or time of day you go, there are a ton of kids. I'm really surprised most of the time, because we always think we are going on the off days or hours where it won't be so crowded. We came here on my son's birthday, and the biggest draw back is the price for what you get. Can't help to compare their $20-30 pizza to other pizza location prices. But really at the end of the day, the smile and fun our kids have is worth it, and that's how Chuck-E-Cheese gets you. I feel the staff is friendly and very helpful and came around often checking on us. They made our experience a good one. Best Chuck E. Cheese I have been to in a while. It's now our every week or so spot! Great games and the staff is some of the best restaurant service folks around. Other CEC's I have been to, the employees just seem to be doing the bare minimum. Not here, they are friendly, courteous and attentive to everyone. A few weeks ago, they accidentally threw out our remaining food on the table, thinking we had left. Initially I was annoyed but then 2 different folks, plus a manager came over and even fired up another pizza, brought us some extra tokens and some cake! I was like wow! We didnt need all of that!!! There is a really sweet and professional young lady with long hair in a white blouse that offered to take photos of my whole family in front of the Christmas tree! There are really adorable blow up characters next to the tall and beautifully decorated tree. What stood out to me was the great customer service. We ordered the pizza, drink and token combo. Our pizza arrived promptly and the employees came by multiple times to ask if we needed anything and if everything was okay. They also helped clean up the table and threw away used plates and napkins while we were there to keep our table clean. I feel like we got better service here than we usually do in a restaurant! 5 stars for service! You should expect to find all your typical Chuck E Cheese games here in better than average conditions. This was my fifth or sixth visit to Chuck E Cheese within the past six months .... my five star may be because we make it a point to never come on holidays or weekends :-) The staff at the door and throughout has been consistently pleasant and professional. This particular time we did a walk in birthday and they went out of their way to make it special :-) :-) :-) they encouraged us to use the long tables, insisted on us letting them come sing when we were ready, and even insisted on providing candles, cake plates, and a server to cut the cake. The staff is beyond AWESOME with their Aloha spirit and I am very appreciative :) even Chuck E went out of his way with the kiddies dancing on stage and being present throughout ! I recently attended a birthday party for my co-worker's daughter. Besides joining in the festivities to celebrate a young girl's 6th birthday, I couldn't help reminiscing of past birthday celebrations I experienced as a child at the former Chuck E. Cheese in Aiea. Ahhh memories...... However, THAT Chuck E. Cheese from my childhood is literally a thing of the past. It seems that their entertainment "stage" has been given an update as there are no mechanical figures turning at 180 degree angles and "singing" (opening and closing their mouths as music plays in the background) to their audience of kids/families. There are now multiple screens/monitors in the front of the party area which feature kids performing/singing/playing instruments to the kid-friendly songs/music. My, my times have changed. Nevertheless, the wide selection of games and play equipment seems to remain intact more or less. One difference I did notice was that there is a apparatus/play area that kids are able to enter and play within. Other notable mentions: Food; Satisfactory. pizza and chicken wings were served. not bad all. There was an abundant supply of plates, forks, and knives. Also, the staff was kind enough to cut the birthday cake and provide smaller plates for this purpose. Drinks. I appreciated that the pitchers dropped off at our table were appropriately labeled...i.e. water, sierra mist, pepsi, diet pepsi etc. Cups, lids, and straws were also readily provided. Service: Our main attendant/server was attentive, friendly, polite, and quite helpful. I certainly appreciated that she was very patient when answering any questions my co-worker had about the party, food, seating, etc. Lastly, I observed her always smiling and she checked up on us throughout our entire visit to make sure things were ok. PARKING: Available in the lot, but on the day I attended this party (Saturday) the lot was VERY crowded. Street parking is also available. Haven't been here in a while, but I must say it was sort of empty for a Saturday afternoon. When you go it's best to use the coupons from the Sunday paper. You get pizza, drinks and tokens. We had pepperoni pizza... there pizza is tasty and has a crispy crust. I think there pizza is delicious! Games... well think of it as a mini DnB. The kids had fun. I believe every game is only one token. Some machines give tickets which you have to insert it into the ticket machine to get a count before you go to the prize counter. I believe we had about 200 tickets and all we got was a bracelet and two rings. To me this is kinda sad... the amount of tickets you get and the prizes they offer and how much tickets you need to get a good prize. I'm sure if you're a Chuck E Cheese fan and go there often you can keep collecting tickets to get a bigger prize. We were invited to a friend's son's birthday at the new Chuck E Cheese in City Square Shopping Center this past weekend. I've heard a few folks speak highly of their pizza, and after trying it, I must say it's REALLY GOOD PIZZA. Who woulda' thought so at such a "commercial" place, right? Particularly (and most importantly) the crust. It's a little salty, but not too much. In a good way. Maybe it's MSG in there, I dunno. But it's good. Nice 'n toasty, and the sauce and toppings are fresh 'n tasty as well. I enjoyed both the Pepperoni and the Super Combo (see photos). That's all I personally ate food-wise (oh except for the cake), as the commotion of the keiki screaming and running around can make eating there actually more of an afterthought. You're really at Chuck E Cheese to watch (and supervise) your kids have fun (well in our case, watch our friend's kids have fun). And they have plenty of games in the arcade room to keep everyone busy, from the keiki to the adults. The party room and arcade area is very spacious and (I think) much bigger than the previous location in Aina Haina Shopping Center (from what I remember). The new City Square location doesn't have the entire animatronic "Chuck E Cheese band" like they had at the Aina Haina location, with now only one animatronic Chuck E Cheese doing its thing at the front "staging" area. Funny and true story about that: my niece went to a birthday party at a Chuck E Cheese in the mainland, and she said some crazy (or on something?) guy there got kicked out because he just stood there in front of the animatronic Chuck E Cheese and started repeatedly yelling "You ruined my life Chuck E Cheese! Ruined it!". LOL! Anyhow, then they have the "live" (suited-up) Chuck E Cheese who comes out and sings Happy Birthday to each party's honoree. The keiki all really get into it. Great family fun place with surprisingly good pizza! So good, they should offer pizza delivery service... Someone knocks on the door and you ask "Who is it?" and the person replies "It's Chuck E. Cheese". To which you open the door and there he is all dressed up as Chuck E Cheese delivering your pizza. LOL! read more

We threw our child's birthday party today and were impressed with the staff! A big mahalo to our server Michelle, I know it wasn't easy serving over 60 guests. She was attentive, professional, and really made things run smoothly. Cleanliness: The games, tables, and restrooms are cleaner than I expected. Games: great variety, including coin games. There's also a play structure towards the back of the space. Food: delicious. we ordered pizzas and appetizer plates wit. Wings, fries and veggies + dip n dots Price : comparable to costs of throwing a bday party elsewhere. Having it here was worth the convenience and our guests (kids, teens and adults) had so much fun! We chose the ultimate package = $31.99 for unlimited games, food, drinks, gift packs, and dip n dots ice cream for child guests. One note: Our party began at 11 am on a Sunday, and this location opens at 11am. When we booked we were told that we could come in 30 min early, but due to miscommunication, we arrived early and waited outside with no way to get in. Thankfully, we were let in 25 min early after explaining to the manager about what one of the staff members told us. This wasn't a typical accommodation so we appreciated his understanding. We had goody bags and wanted to prep the space before guests arrived. The space already had table cloths, cups and plates...no balloons. Overall, I'd recommend this location for parties or a place to take the kids and play. The customer service is what makes this place special, keep up the good work! I was actually impressed with this new location. The dining and entertainment areas were larger than I expected and the food and service were very good. It was also clean and inviting, not dingy and dark like the one in P.C. I only glanced at the menu prices but according to the host of the party, she would've spent just as much at D&B or having a party at her house. That's a good deal, especially if you're like me and don't wanna deal with dishes/cleaning after a house party..plus the kiddies have a lot more fun and room to run around in this place. The pizza and finger sandwiches were fresh and tasty, and the salad bar was just average. The gal helping our party was friendly and helpful, and constantly checked on our table(s). Parking is plentiful, even on a Sunday evening with 4 other birthday parties going on. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to come here for another party (as I have in the past at other locations), and I would recommend it to other parents who may be looking for party options. read more
