The slides and bigger kid area is a little more challenging for the pre/toddler. It would have been nice to have a better playground like area for the same aged kids. Great alternative to Kid city, it's more cost effective about $10 cheaper for 1 adults and 1 kid. It's a lot smaller than kid city but it has comparable activities and again it's cheaper. There are three moving rides in the toddler area and a the gym area is really cool it has a trampoline and slides. Front desk staff was so helpful and sweet, I think her name was Guess! Decent place for a visit at only $16 with free entry for an adult to accompany child. Had lots of things to entertain toddlers. Items were fairly well used, but still seemed safe and average condition for use. Unfortunately, some of the toys didn't have accompanying pieces so they were pretty much worthless and should be replaced. I used to really enjoy taking my kids here. It seems they have changed management and they took out so much of the toys that were there. Hardly anything to play with and the floor was not very secure. The padding they don't seem to upkeep was coming up and my kids were tripping over it. Hosted a party for my toddler and we had the best time! Booking was easy. When we arrived, we were promptly met out back and was able to enter with our vendors to setup. We only had 30 minutes to setup but we hustled and got it done! Staff was super flexible with us at the end of our party, giving us leeway to breakdown as they opened the doors to the public. The party package is a buyout deal which made security and comfort for our guests easy peasy. We booked first thing at opening so everything was neat, clean, and ready to be played with. The staff was so pleasant and kind to work with. The untouched areas of the playground like under the trampoline and slide need a very good deep clean but all else was great! This place is the sweet spot for toddlers. Big enough for a 2 hour block and small enough that you don't lose them in the chaos and fun. And they have a Cocomelon playlist which definitely won my kids over. A wonderful place for littles that doesn't break the bank. We're all for it read more

The Funtastic KidZone is a huge indoor playground arena located in the Wai Makai section of Pearlridge Center, nestled between Vans and Sketchers. Towards the front of the KidZone, you'll find a toddler section for ages 1-4. Everything from a whale and a mini merry-go-round to plastic playground structures and kitchen sets abound in the toddler section. Towards the back of the Funtastic KidZone is a structure for older kids. Slides, hammock swings, a trampoline, caterpillar climbing structure... you name it. It is pretty much heaven to my 5-year-old daughter and the other kids enjoying their time at the KidZone. Don't forget to bring socks (a requirement) and water (a necessity for your kid after all their running around), however both can be purchased at the front desk. The Funtastic KidZone costs $15 per kid (free entry for adults). That entrance fee is good for 2 hours, although I'm not sure how well that is monitored. When we went this week I dragged my kid out of there right at the two-hour mark. However, at a birthday party we attended in December we were there for over three hours. The party had officially ended by that time but my daughter and some of her friends continued to stay and play at the KidZone. I would highly recommend throwing a kid's birthday party here based on the amount of fun my daughter and her friends had. When we got there, I mentioned the party to the front desk and they quickly checked my daughter's name off from a list of the party-going guests. Then we were ushered into the area in the back of the KidZone that is allocated to parties. The party space provides tables and chairs and allows food to be brought in from the outside. We had space for all the presents and three tables with multiple chairs for the food and the guests. While we ended up needing to vacate that back section/party room after a couple of hours, the kids used the play structures all afternoon. The only downside I see to the Funtastic KidZone is that the seating isn't great for adults. I'm pretty tall, which meant that in addition to being as uncomfortable as everyone else sitting on the balance beam-looking waiting chairs, so I spent two hours trying to constantly contort my legs so that people could get by me. But it was a small price to pay for my daughter's happiness. read more

It wasn't too busy, but I heard it gets crowded during the weekends and holidays--which is when they enforce the 2 hour time limit. The bigger kid area was fun too! There's a climbing area with slides and trampoline. My kids didn't wanna leave, finally bribed them with a pretzel from across the way. This place was great for having them get their energy out, my kids were passed out as soon as I left the parking lot.. #momwin! It's $15 per child and adults are free, take socks for you and your kids and you can either play with them inside or watch from the bench outside the play gate. It was nice and clean when we went. So this is a new store in Pearlridge Mall, 2nd floor by the movies side as well as sears side. You pay $14.95 per head for your little ones and adults are free. What I love about this place is that, it's safe, entertaining and fun. My little sister came home talking about how fun her day was. There were many things she could do which is surprising because of how small the place is. There is unfortunately no seats to sit on but you can sit along the sides of the play area. Attended a birthday party. I was very skeptical because of COVID. To my surprise, the whole place was closed just for the party guests, which made me feel safe. The kids had a blast. This is the first that I've been there and my kids loved it. There is an area in the back that you can serve your food and host the party. There is a refrigerator, sink, counter and tables. I would still sanitize it before using. I was curious how they sanitize the play area (given it's a big area), so while we were eating, I seen that they wiped down the area with just ONE cloth. So from the outside it's very appealing I would only come for the trampoline and jungle gym area the portion in front is full of filthy toys that have no batteries and are missing all of the components . Obviously kids walk around with toys and play everywhere but the person in front just sits there while the other person works at the register I think resetting or possibly adding the strings to each toy would be helpful because you can't find anything . Not sure if there's any actual cleaning being done everything is dirty. The spinning tree seems fun until you see the dirt just embedded in the equipment. Pretty fun place for 4/5 and younger. Lots of toys and things to climb on. My kid had fun and the bathroom is conveniently located across the way which is a huge plus. I saw this spot a while ago, but I felt my son was a bit young at the time, and didn't want to take him yet. This past week, on Daddy's day off, we spent the day at the mall. Our son is now about to be two years old in just a few short months, so it was time. While I strolled around the mall with my mom and my two month old, Daddy took the little man to have some fun! For about $15 for one child and one adult, for two hours, you can't go wrong. It could cost a few extra dollars if one or both don't have socks though. No shoes allowed, but socks are a must. My son had so much fun! He only lasted a little over an hour though, but so worth it for my husband to have the experience with our little man, and I getting to see all the pictures! LOL. I was a little sketch though at first, due to Covid. But, everyone had to answer a questionnaire, we had to give up our phone numbers and what not, and have temperatures taken before entering. We did go on a holiday (MLKjr Day), so there was a constant line of people going in with their kiddies. But looking in from outside, it didn't really seem too over crowded, so it was not too bad. If it had seemed too crowded, I would have asked my husband and husband to leave. All of the adults had to wear masks, of course. But I would have really like for them to stop atleast every couple of hours to give the place a good sanitizing. I do trust that they do it daily, but I would feel a little more comfortable having it done more often like they do at most other stores. Or, maybe there should be someone else working to spot clean and sanitize throughout the day. (I mean, they totally could have someone doing that, we just didn't see anyone) It seemed like there was only one person on duty, (the person checking everyone in), and she was a little frazzled with it being a holiday and all. Funtastic Kidzone is one of many play places opening up around town in former retail spots. I used to think $15 for 2 hours seemed kinda pricey, but now it seems like a pretty good deal. I visited for the first time recently on a weekday morning, so it wasn't crowded at all. There were a lot more people coming by the time I left (around 1:30), so if you want to avoid crowds, go early. It was nice and clean. There are play centers for toddlers at the front and more of a jungle gym for older kids towards the back. At the back of the location, there are tables for private parties. My 3-year old had a really good time exploring the facility. Adults can go inside all the play areas (don't forget socks for you or the kids). I visited this establishment on a Friday morning when my child's daycare was closed. We were only there for about an hour & a half. Although my child was occupied playing, this place needs a thorough cleaning & daily toy sanitizing. The floors in the play area were dirty although you can only wear socks once inside the play area. Many of the toys were broken. One of the small slides was completely missing & broken off. There was a huge plug was exposed. I had to deter my child away from it. There's so much to do here, from sliding, swinging, cooking in a diner, taking a whale ride and much more! The place is new to pearl ridge. It's located downtown. This indoor play facility doesn't offer as much as larger operations like Keiki Kingdom, Kids City or even Keiki Republic but it's relatively inexpensive and convenient. The toys and play equipment are well worn and the foam flooring is perpetually soiled, even with the dour attendant who walks around with a spray bottle and paper towels doing spot cleaning. The area beneath the trampoline, which is not accessible but which sits in the middle of a play area, is absolutely filthy (see photos). I've taken my daughter here twice while her grandma took her once. This place is like crack cocaine to a tiny being. On her second and third visits my daughter already excitingly recognizes this place and stayed almost two hours on all her visits. She gets all the stimulation she needs for a solid two-three hour nap afterwards. It's $14.95 plus tax per child for two hours. Adults are free. There's a front section for toddlers and a back section for the preschool/elementary kids. I'd say most parents stay with their kids throughout the play areas and are respectful. However, it gets crowded and each time I've come my toddler has been mowed down by older kids in the front section whose parents are no where to be found. I even had a girl (maybe about 6-7 years old) in the toddler section tell me that I need to get off the play kitchen because she was playing with it first (my daughter and I came over because nobody was there) and gave me stink eye and walked away when I told her nobody was here when we came and where was her parents. All in all if you're a kid it's a fun place to be, and we will continue to come although I think the place should have a room monitor for rowdy kids. Took my niece here finally for an aunty & niece day of fun! She had a blast! The employee was super nice and very kid friendly. She was the only person working and kept a positive attitude the entire time (even trying to clean toys up as kids were destroying the place). The toddler section was HUGE with lots to play with or climb/ride on. My niece had tons of fun running around the playhouses and playing with the dollhouse. It was nice to have it fenced in so the little ones couldn't get out. Lots to play with so there wasn't a lot of worry with kids fighting over toys. It wasn't busy today so we got to enjoy the whole place The older kids play area was fun! There's lots to climb on, things to hit, 3 slides, a trampoline and little swings on the bottom. There was also a smaller "slide" in the very back with wooden blocks and a train table with cars/trains. My niece had tons of fun climbing all over that thing! I asked her what the policy was for children and their parents? I followed up with, "Do the parents have to be inside?" She responded with something along the lines of, Yes. At least one parent. We're not a day care. 1) Thank you (to the woman) for the Captain Obvious moment. I KNOW it's not a day care. The words "day care" imply there's warmth or tenderness. What I got from you was flat, rehearsed, annoyed even. I'm sure you've encountered parents who want to leave their children with you. I/We would never have considered leaving them in your supervision. Don't lump us all together. 2) I also asked if watching my kids from outside was okay to do. At the time, I could see a few kids inside, but I didn't see any parents sitting along the wall like they normally do. I thought maybe it was a new pandemic rule. I'm there doing my part to be responsible by asking you, the business, what's okay and not okay to do. You reply, it's a liability thing. I agree, but again you assumed my intent was to dump my kids on you. Your response was cold and un-calculated. 3) Times are tough for everyone. So rather than giving 1 star, I'll bend and give 2. That may not seem like much, but when you can practically count the amount of people in the mall, bad customer service isn't going to help to draw in any patronage. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 3 TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I will explain how the negligence of this business can result in serious injury or death to toddlers. Exposure to toxic chemicals, choking hazards, exposed wires, dangerous items stacked up that can/did fall on children/adults. Let me explain my experience on 7/7/2024 so you can protect your child and bring awareness to this business that should be investigated and shut down: At the time of my visit only one employee was present at the business. She was 16 years old. A minor that was unable (and shouldn't have to) explain the life threatening negligence of this business. When I asked to speak to an adult employee she said that no one was present. She was unable to clearly state a name of a boss or business card or someone for me to contact. She was stationed at the front and was on her phone the entire time I was there. Only looking up when she had to cash a customer out and have them sign a waiver. Absolutely no supervision/attention/cleaning in the actual play area. In the toddler area designated for ages 1-4 multiple broken toys. Choking hazards. Some of the broken items also had metal components that were sharp. The facility is filthy but a container of Lysol wipes were inside a toy oven. A child could have easily opened it and ingested the fatal chemicals/liquids in that container. I took it out of the toddler area and placed it out of reach from children. Wires are hanging above/near the coconut ride in the toddler area. Here is how my experience ended... My son who is under the age of two went to play with a set of mega blocks. I stood there supervising and thank God I was standing over him. A large stack of objects/fixture (about 7-8 feet tall) that was behind us was being shook by an unsupervised older child. Before I could tell the older child to stop shaking it (it wasn't safe) it came tumbling down. I had to physically shield my toddler son with my back as all the objects fell. Taking the full impact of the items falling. As this happened the older child watched in shock. The only employee on the property (16 year old) still on her phone and completely unaware of the lawsuit worthy incident. Despite my screams as the incident was occurring. I picked my son up and went to the front to talk to the employee. Livid and injured I asked the girl why such a tall unsteady item was even there in the first place. Her response was that the kids must have done it. Impossible. It was 7-8 feet high. I know what I saw. Realizing I was speaking to a minor I asked for an adult and she disclosed that there were none. I eventually got a number to call. After speaking to this individual who at first claimed to be the owner then later on admitted wasn't the owner I decided to get an attorney. Yes they make you sign a waiver but that does not excuse negligence. I will also contact other appropriate authorities so this place can be investigated for the safety of other children. I've visited many indoor playgrounds. Keiki Kingdom, Keiki Republic, Gymboree etc. All great. This place is reprehensible. All the 1 star reviews are completely accurate. read more

My granddaughter had her 4th birthday party here. We had the whole place to ourselves which was nice! The kids had a blast and the adults had fun too seeing the kids so excited. We were seated in the back area. Tables were set up. There's a fridge, sink and counter space for the food you bring. The sink area had a slight funky smell I was in the area much. They probably need to really clean and sanitize that corner. There's so many fun things to do and play with. My granddaughter has a fabulous birthday. My only concern is they way they sanitize the entire play area or if it is even done. There are soooo many things the kids touch and play with. I saw the lady wiping the trampoline area down with a cloth (no gloves worn); then moved to wipe down another area with the same cloth. I'm pretty the same cloth was used mostly everywhere which can be cross contamination. Just something to think about. The place is fun though! read more

Out of all the indoor playgrounds on Oahu, this one is by far the worst. The floor mats aren't laying flat and are curling upwards. I've seen multiple kids trip on it. Other portions of the playground are in poor condition. There's only 1 staff member and she's usually manning the front desk. In other words, very poor supervision of the play areas. Yes, parents are supposed to watch their kids but realistically, a lot of them just sit on the side and not pay attention. The play area designated to younger kids is filled with older kids running around knocking over the little ones. Again, no staff enforcement of the rules. As long as you pay entrance, they're happy. I've never seen staff walk around cleaning or sanitizing things. So the place definitely feels dirty and toys placed everywhere, posing as tripping hazards and kids injuring their feet. Last time I was here, a grandma was with her grandson and he was being extremely rough with all the kids. The worker witnessed it all but did nothing. I had to yell at him a few times to leave my daughters alone. After a while, I told the worker and she just kindly asked the grandma to watch her kid. Of course that didn't change anything. I had to complain to the worker again multiple times. Eventually left since nothing was being done. Poor enforcement on the workers, they're too scared to kick out rough kids. Recently, they changed their age policy. Only 6 and under are allowed in. "Due to incidents". That's what happens when you don't kick out/ban the rough kids. That would be a better solution, ban them and that's it. Let the other kids in like my 7 year old daughter Never coming here again. Highly recommend any other indoor playgrounds. Kid City has 2 locations (Kakaako and kapolei). Keiki Republic is in windward. Keiki kingdom is in town. Go to any of these locations and you'll see tons of staff present constantly cleaning and putting things away. You don't get that in kidzone. read more

Pros: -Great diversity of equipment, especially for the younger kids -Air-conditioned location with parking -Decent price Cons: -Small, cramped, so you practically have to step over people. Not ideal for covid ventilation or for regular humans. -There is a sign that says to wear a mask if your kid is sick. Well, there were kids habitually coughing without masks. Why post rules if you aren't going to enforce them? -There is ONE person working the front desk, meaning there is zero enforcement of rules altogether. Kids not following directions and older kids playing/roughhousing in the under 5 zone and no one is there to tell them to stop. -Overall disappointed with the lack of service. read more

I would really prefer if even one of the staff members could check the area, clean, monitor age limits. When it gets crowded which is any weekend, I cannot bring my daughter there. It gets dirty with no one cleaning, and older rowdy kids play on the toddler only areas and no one is monitoring. Obviously this makes it unsafe for my toddler. read more
