The most disgusting CEC I've ever been to. When we got here on a Sunday at 4:15, there are two clean tables. Most of the tables were empty, but none of the workers cleaned off tables so you could sit at a clean table. All you can eat salad bar? Empty...for 45 minutes. When it was filled, it was filled by the cashier. Same cashier had her hair out of a bun. Mind you, pretty hair, but I don't want it in my salad. Also, I prefer people to use gloves when handling money and then going to food. Ticket redemption...please wait. Again, 30 minutes or so of people just standing there waiting. With so many negative reviews, I felt the need to give a review of my positive experience today. My family of 5 arrived shortly after 5:00 pm today. We were immediately greeted by a female employee who let us in after stamping everyone. We were then greeted by an equally friendly male cashier. The place was super clean & there were plenty of empty tables. We haven't been to this location in a while because it was always packed & there was usually trash on the tables so we didn't know if they were occupied or not. I couldn't give a 5 star rating because 2 of the machines took our money (the one that goes up in the air & the sketch picture machine) & the girl at the prize counter did not greet us at all even after I said "hi." read more

Chuck E. Cheese is not there for the food. It is a place you take your kids sit and talk and know that they aren't going to disappear out the door. The party was fine. The kids had soda, pizza, cake, and ice cream. They got to play unlimited games for two hours. There was no mess for me to clean up so I was happy. The hostess was great and very attentive. The soda stayed filled and she kept the party moving. I was surprised this time because the pizza for the adults was actually pretty good. I do like the salad bar. It is pretty good size. Chuck E Cheese's, every parents dream afternoon. Really tho this one in Escondido is clean, well maintained with fun games and helpful staff. I've been to chuckee cheese where the staff looked like they wanted to kill you for asking questions but this staff was friendly and kind. You can see into the kitchen from where I sat to eat and it looked spotless in there as well. I went in today with some family including two kids, and was very disappointed. The service was absolutely terrible. We had to stand in line for about fifteen minutes just to order the pizza and get the game cards, simply because the group ahead of us had about a million questions and the staff didn't bother to open another register until we complained to the manager. There were numerous tables that needed cleaning, and I didn't see one get cleared off the whole time we were there (we cleaned our own in order to sit down.) The food took forever to get to our table (once again, had to complain to get it done). It wasn't even very crowded. We come here often and always have a good experience and still did today however, I was extremely disappointed today when we left that no one was around to check our stamps to make sure we are leaving with our kid. We waited a few minutes like we are supposed to and no one came. So we just left and even when leaving no one stopped us before leaving. So at least I am leaving with my own child. Zach greeted us upon coming in and helped us til the end of our visit and kept the same upbeat attitude and happy persona both times. The parents (guests) had to dish out all the food and pour all the drinks. $800 and 25 kids.... just imagine doing all that stuff in the chaos of chucky cheese all by yourself. SMH...... I ordered the cake from them with a Chucky Cheese edible screen. Literally 5 minutes before the birthday song the overwhelmed employee comes to tell me they do not have the screen and if I would like to just add sprinkles. $800 party and no management oversight .... Balloons. The birthday kid is supposed to get the balloons with this party. The ones he had were not secured properly and flew away into the air conditioning system. They gave me replacements - two of the replacement balloons were flat. $800 dollar party..... When you pay this much money to have this many people attend an event you are absolutely correct to expect the best service - 25 kids, 800 bucks and the party totally sucked. Chuck E Cheese is good and bad. 3 stars seems about fair. I'll start with the good. I think it's great they stamp hands. Always have loved that! To ensure children are leaving with right adults. Safety is so important! Video games have def advanced since from when I was little and their pizza has majorly improved. I wouldn't say it's amazing or anything but it used to be just horrible. What I didn't like that a lot of people might disagree is the card scanning system instead of tokens. I noticed it was a bit difficult for kids to figure out or it wasn't working. The ticket eating machine is super cool and way better than back in the day counting them all but it seems to jam or break easy. Last night 1 or 4 was working. The prizes are really dumb toys that i am sure cost Chuck E Cheese pennies to purchase and costs you a ton of money in game credits. They should really have better prizes with all the money adults put in. But then maybe they wouldn't be as successful as they are now so I guess that's business. read more

Worst experience ever. Do not go if you are a fan of Chucky Cheese. I thought bringing my daughter for a nice lunch and some fun would be a great place to come apparently not. First when my 4 year old thought Chucky would come out after counting down and getting excited, instead the manager just grab a hand full of tickets and threw them on the floor, not Chucky. When I asked can Chucky come out apparently the manager did not like that and literally mad dog me for even suggesting such a thing. So please do yourself a favor and go to the Vista location. My toddler and I have been coming this location for almost a year (about once a week for a couple of hours). The place is clean enough so I don't worry too much about germs, although I make sure to wash and sanitize his hands frequently. Sometimes the staff members are scarce and we wait a while to get help, but always friendly. Sometimes the tickets dispenser is empty, there are games that are temporarily out of service, the buffett is ok, but my toddler always has fun, so we go to this location. We celebrated his 2nd birthday in March and the staff memebers who assisted was were amazing. A couple of months ago they got a handful of new games which was a nice surprise. read more

I bring my grandkids here every time I am in town which is about every 8-10 weeks. Today I am extremely disappointed. As usual, there are issues with some of the machines. Today, the machine attendant seems to have an attitude and it takes over 5 minutes for someone to call him to come and Fix a game. Manager told us it was because of the large party that came in after us (hello, you knew they were coming, that's part of your routine).. . She also said it was not unusual for food to take that long. She didn't seem to care that we were not happy about the long wait and offered nothing to compensate us. Finally got my money back. Other review comments about machines not working properly and Chuck E. not coming out are also true. This location is under staffed and needs some help place was full and think $20-40 a group they could hire a few more. Lines are way to long to get in order food, no ice and no straws. I think its a great place for young kids. There are more games and things they can do here compared to boomers, Belmont park or any other arcade. It's also a token each so you dont have to spend much on games and they can pick a toy for prizes which they love! ( even though those toys are super cheap) it's also small enough that you dont have to be super worried about them getting lost. There are however not a lot of variety of food which isn't so bad because their options are what kids would eat and its good for a quickly meal.
