Good customer service provided by a very friendly staff. We only come here on weekdays because it gets really crowded on the weekends. I recommend eating before or after someplace else. The quality of the pizzas are slightly better than what you would get in the frozen foods aisle at your local supermarket. Just not worth the price. We like coming to this location because almost every visit, Chuck E. makes his appearance and entertains my kid. My family and I always come here for birthdays and we've always been greeted warmly by the staff and the managers. Customer service is usually pretty good until recently. I made a birthday reservation and needed to adjust the start time but when I had called their reservation call center, I was informed I needed to speak to the store manager. I had called the Elk Grove Chuck E Cheese's numerous times all day long and their phone was either busy or it would just ring until it eventually disconnects the call. There was no voicemail. I decided to walk in the store and speak to their manager on duty that day who was an Indian guy. He didn't smile very much nor did him seem nice. I explained to him how I was unable to get through via phone and what I needed to do. He quickly brushed me off by giving me a list of excuses why he wasn't able to answer the phone: "we've been on conference calls", "the senior managers are here" and "we are so busy and have to be out on the floor"...etc. BUT it was a Wednesday and when I was there after 5pm there were not many people at all. I've seen them when they were packed and busy on the weekend and Wednesday was not one of them. In fact it was no where near being busy. I can understand the importance of engaging with customers and being present for the staff, but the way he delivered his response was aggressive and he was very defensive about it. Even though he apologized for the inconvenience it did NOT feel genuine. He was saying "sorry" just to say it. I could still feel the tension from him. I kept my cool because he did help me with what I needed. As I observe him from afar, I could see his demeanor with his female staff (the cashiers) was also not very pleasant. I could see him telling one of the young staff members to come to the cashier with his sharp hand gesture pointing to the machine, as if he was demanding her to do something with the cashier. I couldn't hear what was said but I could see the young girl's face change from smiling to annoyance. I do feel sorry for the staff and I think this manager (who identified himself as Nick) could use some personal development which will hopefully help him with customer service and leadership building. 4/7/19 - I am updating my review to a 1 Star. We celebrated my daughter's birthday on Friday evening 4/5. We bought the Mega package and spent about $500 on everything. My brother and my daughter got in the ticket blaster with a bag. It was supposed to be fun and funny. Our hostess, Ariana, stopped the blaster to have him remove the bag, which was fine. What was NOT fine was she made a false accusation to her manager that my brother hit and slammed her hand when he exit the ticket blaster. We told the manager it absolutely did NOT happen and we have the whole thing recorded on video. My brother NEVER touched her upon entering or exiting the ticket blaster. We offered to show it to the manager but he refused to see the clip. Instead, he wanted us to focus on following the ticket blaster rule and he offered 150 tickets to mend the false claim. By this point, we already had 2 hours of unlimited play and over 7,000 tickets won already. What is another 150 tickets really going to do for us? That was a very weak offer and we declined. In the past, we have tipped our hostesses generously but not this time. We will never come back nor will we recommend this branch to anyone. read more

I prefer arden over this one. Some adults dont keep track of their toddlers and the kids tried to take over while my child was playing her turn. The wings are not worth the price. Went there on a Friday night and it was crowded as hell. There were people smoking weed in the parking lot, SMOKING WEED IN THE THE PARKING LOT OF A CHUCK E CHEESE!! There must've been a party going on because of all the people that were there reeked of weed smh Alot of tables were full of trash, it could've been from the party but I never saw anyone sitting at them. There were a lot of toddler friendly games which I liked but you hardly get tickets for playing anymore. 1-4 tickets a game? Like c'mon how are you suppsed to get anything good with that? I used to love bringing my kids here because it "Was" a good value and the coupons made it even more worth it. However while getting ready for a trip there on 3/10/18, I noticed that the coupons the location was offering included very few points for the cards since they don't do tokens any more. When I arrived there to my surprise they raised the prices for all the combination packages that include pizza, drinks, and card points by at least $4 dollars each. I understand business and things like this happen, but then another shocker. Each of those packages offered less card points than before and they also made every game 20 points on the cards. Therefore you get less points to play with when you purchase the package and the games cost more points each so your force to purchase more points separately. It cost me $63 dollars for two pizzas, 4 drinks, and 900 points. If they offered better coupons or deals, then maybe I would go back, but I think any future visits there will be for games only. read more

This is my first time ever at chuckecheese. It was a good experience. Went here for my friend's kid birthday. We ordered pizza, wings and drinks. Surprisingly the pizzas were really good. Crispy crust and the flavors were great. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, pepperoni, combo, sausage. The wings were salty though. This was the first time I have ever had a Chuck E Cheese party. It felt very rushed. 2 hours doesn't seem long enough. And even though our waitress let us stay a little longer at our table, she cleaned up all the decor and even took away the utensils basket. Didn't feel like a party anymore after that. I don't think I'll be hosting another birthday party there again. Also, prior to the event, the rep who phoned to confirm my party reservation and to figure out what I would like to order, told me I had ordered a different birthday package. Which made me a little irritated since, I had already paid my deposit and had everything set up months before. I ended up speaking with her manager who then told me that my reservation was correct. I really don't like when sh*t ain't in order. Anyways the day of the party, Chuck E Cheese never made it to our table. It would have been great for him to at least acknowledge the birthday celebrant. I know their are other kids there, but it would have been nice if he went to each reserved birthday table. It would make the child feel special and give parents enough time to take photos, especially after paying so much money. Staff was nice and attentive, but the whole experience seemed rushed. Also, I didn't realize until after the party that my guests never received their ice cream dipping dots. I paid for the mega super star package, which is supposed to include ice cream. The birthday favors, balloons, table cloth were nice, but would have been better to include at least one birthday hat. We purchased our own birthday hats and brought in our own cake. For those contemplating hosting a party, I'd just show up early and grab a table. That way, you can spend as much time as you'd like. You can bring your own cake and decorations. Use coupons and sign up for rewards. I signed up my entire family of six and got six one topping personal pizza's! One of the attendies panicked and swipped it off the pizza and one of the workers stepped on it! Thank god it was on the adults pizza only! i usually bring my kids here. but today really set off as to why i will be at a different location from now on. usually the staff are great but the staff that worked during the afternoon shift was terrible today. a female staff member who for some reason was let onto the floor obviously hates her jobs there. big sighs of disappoint every time i saw her filling up a game with more tickets. i had two interactions with her. first time to tell her a game had ran out of tickets and she death stared me and said she will be there. second time we told her about a game and in the middle of us talking she proceeded to roll her eyes (to where you can see her lashes flutter) in our face and sighed so loud you could see it. i dont know who hired this girl but she clearly doesnt like her job. this is an establishment for kids and fun and if you cant act your job then you shouldnt be working there. its clear management hires whoever they can and doesnt take their job as management seriously enough. read more

THis place has a good variety of food, games, and entertainment. THe place is clean, the staff is nice, but the pizza is not the best quality, which is why I only gave 4 stars. Also, there are always some kids who go into the play gym and scream, making it difficult to be in the close vicinity. I appreciate the security coming in and out of the place as well. Got a #3 pizza combo with 2 large pizzas (beware, the large pizzas look like most medium pizzas you might normally buy elsewhere.) 4 drinks and 900 points for the Play Pass for $51.99. Bought a few extra drinks, they are $2.29 for a kids drink and $2.49 for a small drink. They have Pepsi products here, including Diet Mountain Dew & Diet Pepsi, Lipton Tea and it's all you can drink. Also purchased an all you can eat salad bar for $7.49, which is a little overpriced for such a small salad bar. The service wasn't too bad. We had our hands stamped upon entering, ordered our food, and think the pizza and sides were delivered in about 15-20 minutes. Also the tables were being kept cleaned as I sat and waited for daughter while she was playing. Good to come a few times a year, but don't forget the coupons on their website, like I did, it'll help save some money. read more

I don't know why the sudden change. Went here on a Saturday morning at 10am for a birthday party. Party was fine, kids liked it of course, it's chucke cheese. There was this new "hostess" seating people who came in. I didn't need a table because my friend had paid that crazy amount to have the whole shabang for her son. When our time in the back party area was over we didn't have time to open presents. We went to find a table for our very small party so the boy could open presents all the EMPTY tables had reserved tags on them. This hostess, Patty, made sure to let us know that we were not allowed to sit ANYWHERE because those tables were for her walk in guests. Then she allowed us with an attitude like it wasn't her problem he still didn't open his presents. After we did that we were all getting up putting our jackets on and Ms. Patty goes out of her way to let us know again we could not stay. I've never felt like an unwanted paying customer before. We all wanted to stay and buy more tokens for the kids to play because the two hours for the party went really quick but because of her terrible customer service we decided to leave. Awful I will never book a party here again. there was nothing special about reserving a table and paying them to do almost nothing when I could have just sat out at the the other tables , brought in my cake and sang happy birthday. anytime I needed anything from our server I couldn't find her and by the time she did come I either figured it out or forgot what it was I needed because there was so much going on. I didn't know they can book so many birthdays at the same time and I didn't like that because I felt like it took attention away from the birthday boy. While I'm still not really a fan of Chuck E Cheese's because of all of the bad experiences we've had with other locations over the years, this place wasn't that bad. It's newer and cleaner than all the other ones that we've been to. It's not too crowded even on busy days. They've got a lot of games and tables which is always nice. Their salad bar doesn't look disgusting like at the other places. Their pizzas aren't bad and neither are their appetizers. You can even save a ton of money by going online and printing out their coupons. You can even keep using the same coupon until it expires which is great when purchasing meal deals with tokens. The staff was helpful and they really cater to your needs which is not really known at any other Chuck E Cheese. The location is great and the parking is everywhere. We would definitely come back and have come back to this location several times for other birthday parties. We may have one here for one of our younger sons. The place is actually clean which is what really had my mouth drop. The only thing that I would really complain about this place is that there isn't really a little little kid section like I've seen at other locations. I have to say I had not been to this franchise in many years as my last experience was that it was not keeping up with the times games wise and facility wise. You can tell this is a new facility and the staff was very friendly and responsive. We did a walk in birthday party (I had never heard of this but a great idea) where they let us bring in our own cake and presents with no fee. The pizza was ok. It didn't taste as good as a regular pizza place but it was not as bad as it was back in the day. There was a good selection of games and rides for all the children in our party aged 3-18. I would make the suggestion to management that they change their salad bar pricing as regardless of what else you order (I ordered a $50 pizza, drinks, tokens package) it costs almost $7 for a salad. There should be a add on salad option that is reasonably priced. Overall a good experience and the kids had a good time so I would be able to recommend this facility. read more

This place has the worst customer service ever! We thought it would be fun to take my son and his friend here and within minutes of being here, it became apparent that it was a big mistake. They claimed they had loaded our game cards and when it didn't work and we took back to counter, we got a lecture from the cashier/supervisor that we must have lost our cards and that my son picked up someone else's. Let's be real parents, if you hand a child a card that holds all their tokens, the likelihood of them dropping and not guarding it with their lives is unlikely. Anyhow, she continued to reprimand us to the point where I just lost my cool and told her she needed to fix it. She reluctantly put 400 game points on our card when it should have been 450. You'd think by that point she'd just keep her opinions to herself but she continued to lecture. And when I finally had enough and told her to shut it, she had the audacity to tell me she didn't appreciate my tone. Needless to say yelpers skip this place because it's not worth it. a million stars for this chuck e cheese; they saved the day for my daughter's birthday party when the chuck e cheese we booked our party at (arden) was closed unexpectedly due to some things beyond their control the morning of the party. Nick, the manager here not only picked up the phone an hour before they were open, but coordinated our whole party so that it didn't miss a beat, only an hour before our scheduled party time at arden! they were seriously awesome and made the whole thing a success when it could have been a disaster. well, not a disaster, but whatever you'd call finding out the place you booked for your daughter's birthday party was closed and probably not going to open about an hour before a dozen kids were supposed to show up. a major bummer, at least. but that didn't to us! thanks Nick and Elijah! great job; we'll be back for sure. read more

Had my son's 4th birthday there today on June 11th at 10am. We had the megastar package that came with everything except the cake. We literally just showed up with the cake. They did everything. The manager-I forget her name-greeted us, went over our party details, and led us to our reserved table where our attendant Samantha was waiting for us. Everybody, including the adults, had a blast. My little guy was a bit overwhelmed at times but he really enjoyed himself. The two hours we were there was worth every penny spent. Customer service was outstanding. Samantha did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend having a kid's party (too bad they don't have adult parties!!!) here. If you're like me where you don't want to have to do a lot and still have a great party, chuck e cheese's parties are the way to go...and go megastar because EVERYTHING is provided. read more

I ordered the party online, I went in and paid the deposit. The day of the party got there a few hours early to drop off the decorations, come to find out our party was not on the schedule. Nick the manager was GREAT! He made sure the problem was corrected. When I arrived at the party of course the table clothes weren't on the table. mmm ok....I didn't like that everything was "rushed" and there was no individuality with the party such as singing happy birthday, it was done at the same time with all of the other parties. I wasn't ready to sing happy birthday, but was forced to. We didn't have time to open gifts before the next party began. For the LARGE amount ($300+) that you pay, I didn't expect to be rushed.
