    Great picnic tables.
    Janay H.

This is probably the best park in Elk Grove! George Park has something for every age! There are two play structures one designed for younger kids 1-4 years and the other for 4-5 years and up. But in all honestly that didn't matter to my kid as both structures had cool features that he enjoyed. In addition there is also a sand area (that is covered). Bring some sand toys and kids can truly lose track of time playing in that area. If your up to it there is also two exercise areas for the adults. Not sure how busy this area gets but when I attended the park it was fairly empty. I would bring gloves if you plan to use this option as not to sure how hot the bars get from the hot summer sun. One feature that my son really enjoyed was the "zip lining". It took him a few tries as he was scared at first but after he didn't want to leave! This park would be perfect to host birthday parties as there is plenty of Picnic tables that are under the shade. There's also a great amount of grass area to put a pop up tent and bring your own table. I'm not sure if you have to reserve this area through Elk Grove or not so make sure you check before you attempt to host here! Only downside is that this park doesn't have a bathroom so it's a must that the kids go before! Also I would be nice if there was a water fountain especially on hot summer days. Overall my kid and I are huge fans of this park and will surly return!

One of the newest neighborhood parks in the City of Elk Grove, California. This 5 acre park was completed in 2017 and is part of the Cosumnes Parks & Recreation Department. This neighborhood park offers local residence covered picnic area/ full basketball court/ 2 playgrounds / jogging trail / exersice area and large open space . I found it appropriate for the theme of the park to be (Fossils) being located on Fossil Way ! Welcome to Elk Grove ! Enjoy !

Basketball court, two benches, close to that is one part of the exercise area, and a water fountain close by.

A park that's portrait looking when looking above, interesting layout. Basketball courts, exercise areas, trails, and water fountains that are spread around, encourages to be more active. Playgrounds, as with many recently bulit playgrounds in Elk Grove, have a bright, colourful enviroment, many structures are very enjoyable, in particular the zipline, as it gives a cool breeze and a nice view of the playground section of the park along the way to the next point.

    Fun seated zip line thing

A favorite park of ours! A bit of a trek fur us across town but so worth it. The zip line and spinning toys are a hut with my kids. Along with the slide with rollers. There's a smaller kid playground and a larger kid one, along with a sand area. Great covered picnic tables and a large grassy area.

My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

There are pickle ball courts and clean large bathrooms which is a must for little kids. The water spouts come in the summer and kids can play all day here. The best part is they have an annual 4th of July viewing at this park where the community comes out in lawn chairs and just hangs out. This is one of the great parks in Elk Grove.

My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back.

Adj: Fantastically Fun!…read more Oasis Community Park, a highly anticipated park that opened several years ago at the corner Knotts and Whitelock Parkway between the newer Walmart on Whitelock and the Elk Grove Auto Mall. My kids really like this park, it's not my favorite as a parent and I'll go into that later, but this park is one of the newest ones in Elk Grove and it's been a good one, even though it's now been open about 3+ years, we've not bored of it at all. We used to come here a lot, but my kids are a bit older now and they're not as into parks anymore, but if we meet up with their friends here and have a "park date," then they're totally up for it b/c there's a lot to do here. First there's a concrete walking trail around the whole park, so parents can walk their dogs or just themselves =P around and keep an eye on their kids at the same time. One side of the park (north side) features an OASIS water spray zone where there's several water shooting from the ground thingamabobs (yup!) as well as some coming out of fake palm trees and animals that are quite powerful and give the kids a fun run for their money as they try to dodge the water OR run across the water features over and over again or jump on them to get super wet. This is great in the hot dry summers in EG. On the south side of the park are several play structures for different age groups. There's climbing ones and sliding down ones, and swings and a small ropes course type structure. I like that there's playgrounds designed for different age groups based on their age appropriate development. So the 1 star knocked off is that as a parent, this park is super spread out and there's not really any shaded areas (there's the general tarp shades over each play structure) w/SEATING for parents to be close to so they can supervise their kids (at least when they're little), the giant gazebo (more details below) is all the way in the middle of the park and the structures are more towards the southern part, so it's harder to watch one's kids especially if each kid wants to play in a different section. So that's a bit of a safety issue and why it's not my favorite park to take my kids to from a parent's POV. Other offerings at Oasis park are great too, to include an exercise equipment section, basketball court, 2 soccer fields that are lighted at night, multiple pickleball courts that are opened and lighted till late like 10p, and a couple of tennis courts too. Then there's also a concrete ping pong table (may need the stronger balls for this), a dog park, a huge gazebo right in the middle of the park that is perfect for parties, with 2 BBQs grills built-in with 8 tables, 2 smaller gazebos with 1 built-in BBQ, all of which are great as a hanging out place for parents and kids alike to cool down after fun in the sun. There's also so much open grass area for free play, volleyball, or just running around, and everything's nicely landscaped and maintained, so there's no lack of fun to be had here. Overall, Oasis Park is an excellent park and definitely one of the best if not the best park in EG!

I am surprised the city hasn't done anything because there are a lot of holes/tunnels you could sprain your ankle in. Not so much in the direct walking areas, but a lot around the borders of the playground or near corners of the structures. Kinda a lot of trash. Candy wrappers, nerf darts etc. Some swings were missing, and a slide was blocked and locked off. So hopefully they'll be updating the park soon. Still gave it 4 stars because we enjoyed ourselves, big park with lots of huge trees. Just wish they'd clean it up a bit. But I think it's worth checking out.

We ended up leaving after being at the park for only a few minutes because I wasn't too sure how the squirrels would react to my kids and didn't want to risk one of them getting attacked. The park itself also was t very well kept. My kiddos were very disappointed to have to leave so soon.
