Great park for kids to run, climb, and play! The ground squirrels are everywhere... thankfully they seem to dig their holes at the edges of the playground rather than the middle the playground so you don't get sprained ankles from walking around. Lots of benches and trees for parents to relax. The rings and monkey bars seem rather high... and basically at adult height. But everything else was perfect for kiddos. There is a small sandpit at one side of the playground. They also have a toddler area.

We are not locals here but were in town and my toddler wanted to go to park. This was 3 mins away from our appointment so we just stopped by. Definitely a huge no!!! The wooden structure is not maintained and unsafe for kids. We used a swing and it was squeaky. Slides were worn out and there was not even a single kid there. We left after 15 mins. Not coming back! City needs to repair this park soon.

good size park and plenty of street parking. it definitely is a "squirrel park", and is probably a great way to observe and teach your kiddos about them! one boy mention to us today that his family usually brings them nuts and i thought that was cute! this place is different from most parks because everything is mainly of wood and thats cool. reminded me of mckinley but smaller. only thing is i seen some bolts loose on some of things/attachments.

We enjoy coming to Miwok Park, Especially for the squirrels. We bring the squirrels some treats to eat and the kids love it. It's an absolute nice park but I think it has been neglected due to graffiti all over the playground, no swings, one slide has been locked gated for quite a while now. I believe Elk Grove is a nice city to let these parks go neglected like this. City of Elk Grove maybe you can upgrade something here?

I took my daughter here a few weeks ago and there were so many squirrels! There were a ton of baby squirrels also! It was so cute! The playground had trash throughout it because people don't know how to pick up after themselves. And some of the equipment is broken. The park could def use an upgrade

I love this park for my kids, I also used to come here as a kid but it's needs to be cleaned up. Littering and used condoms found. Makes me not want to bring my kids back here. A lot of parents don't go up the castle part so theres no way for them to know that's up there.

Best for... Picnicing..tons of shade. Squirrel chasing... A means for ahalf hour of cost free fun for the kids and dogs. We seen about 15 squirrels in the 20 minutes we were here. Mom and kid play dates..tables and lots of shade for gabbing about nonsense. Reading a book or three.. again tons of shade for laying on a blankie and relaxing. Tennis courts, toddler areas, soccer net and lots of grass and a bathroom. Even in 106 degrees of heat, the almost total shade here makes it bearable. Overall one of my favorite parks for my babies in EG.

My 2 year old son loves this park! And it helps me out because he can release all of his energy here. They have resident squirrels here that are friendly and the park is huge!

Love taking a walk here with my kids. I'm so glad they rebuilt it after the fire. It is a nice playground for my boys to just go and run around safely while I relax.

Squirrel burrows everywhere right where the kids play

THis park is a lot of fun for my daughter, but there are WAY TOO MANY SQUIRRELS running around that it's probably unsanitary.

My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

There are pickle ball courts and clean large bathrooms which is a must for little kids. The water spouts come in the summer and kids can play all day here. CSD keeps the park nice and clean with everything well maintained. The best part is they have an annual 4th of July viewing at this park where the community comes out in lawn chairs and just hangs out. This is one of the great parks in Elk Grove.

I've not even been to…read morethis part of the park, could've fooled me, all this time I thought these were tennis courts, haha. Just goes to show how much I know. My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back.

Adj: Fantastically Fun!…read more Oasis Community Park, a highly anticipated park that opened several years ago at the corner Knotts and Whitelock Parkway between the newer Walmart on Whitelock and the Elk Grove Auto Mall. My kids really like this park, it's not my favorite as a parent and I'll go into that later, but this park is one of the newest ones in Elk Grove and it's been a good one, even though it's now been open about 3+ years, we've not bored of it at all. We used to come here a lot, but my kids are a bit older now and they're not as into parks anymore, but if we meet up with their friends here and have a "park date," then they're totally up for it b/c there's a lot to do here. First there's a concrete walking trail around the whole park, so parents can walk their dogs or just themselves =P around and keep an eye on their kids at the same time. One side of the park (north side) features an OASIS water spray zone where there's several water shooting from the ground thingamabobs (yup!) as well as some coming out of fake palm trees and animals that are quite powerful and give the kids a fun run for their money as they try to dodge the water OR run across the water features over and over again or jump on them to get super wet. This is great in the hot dry summers in EG. On the south side of the park are several play structures for different age groups. There's climbing ones and sliding down ones, and swings and a small ropes course type structure. I like that there's playgrounds designed for different age groups based on their age appropriate development. So the 1 star knocked off is that as a parent, this park is super spread out and there's not really any shaded areas (there's the general tarp shades over each play structure) w/SEATING for parents to be close to so they can supervise their kids (at least when they're little), the giant gazebo (more details below) is all the way in the middle of the park and the structures are more towards the southern part, so it's harder to watch one's kids especially if each kid wants to play in a different section. So that's a bit of a safety issue and why it's not my favorite park to take my kids to from a parent's POV. Other offerings at Oasis park are great too, to include an exercise equipment section, basketball court, 2 soccer fields that are lighted at night, multiple pickleball courts that are opened and lighted till late like 10p, and a couple of tennis courts too. Then there's also a concrete ping pong table (may need the stronger balls for this), a dog park, a huge gazebo right in the middle of the park that is perfect for parties, with 2 BBQs grills built-in with 8 tables, 2 smaller gazebos with 1 built-in BBQ, all of which are great as a hanging out place for parents and kids alike to cool down after fun in the sun. There's also so much open grass area for free play, volleyball, or just running around, and everything's nicely landscaped and maintained, so there's no lack of fun to be had here. Overall, Oasis Park is an excellent park and definitely one of the best if not the best park in EG!
