Built in 2008 this park offers a large playground with swings for the kids, a half basketball court, a covered structure gazebo with BBQ, open play area, and is also connected to walking trails on either side of the park . The only issues that I found were : location of the park was next to a busy intersection ! And parking was limited to street parking only. But over-all this is a lovely community park that offers it neighbors a safe and clean place for the kids to play, and for active adults with their miles of hiking trial. I will definitely be back in warmer weather to take advantage of their walking trials. A park that offers amenities for children and adults deserves a solid "3 Stars !"

Several people were also playing Pokemon Go, and put Lure Modules on the Pokestops, anyways, they have Food Truck Mania and Free Concerts here once a month, and there are lots of nice Elk Grove-ians here. There are baseball fields, soccer fields, a water park to beat the Elk Grove Heat, fitness areas, restrooms, a bocce-ball area, a skate area, green grass, and lots of parking! There are 4 beautiful baseball fields with restrooms (that were locked because there weren't any games being played. There are extensive concrete sidewalks all over the park. The description indicates a skatepark (which is south of the dog park) but it was a disappointment and very small. (just a few grinding steps) There was a full basketball court and a community center building It's a large, beautiful park with a splash park by the playground. No convenient restrooms were the one negative for us.

My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back.

Once they warmed up to it they had a ton of fun! My daughter loved it! She was soaked once we left. You control the water from poles and a circle on one of the palm trees. There were a ton of kids but everyone was well behaved. We went to the playground after and it was really nice as well. Two separate, one for toddlers and one for older kids. More than just a playground I'm just not sure what the other play equipment would be called. Big bathrooms and lots of table to sit and eat. Can't wait til the trees are grown in here, could use a little more shade, but great as it!! Would recommend this park!!

I am surprised the city hasn't done anything because there are a lot of holes/tunnels you could sprain your ankle in. Not so much in the direct walking areas, but a lot around the borders of the playground or near corners of the structures. Kinda a lot of trash. Candy wrappers, nerf darts etc. Some swings were missing, and a slide was blocked and locked off. So hopefully they'll be updating the park soon. Still gave it 4 stars because we enjoyed ourselves, big park with lots of huge trees. Just wish they'd clean it up a bit. But I think it's worth checking out.
