Water still running at 7pm in July! Take the kids after work!
Sarah W.

This is an excellent park! Splash zone for the kids in the summer, soccer fields, shaded areas, parking lot, basketball court, restrooms, even a small rock climbing section in the jungle gym area. This is a great place to pitch a tent and just chill on a summer day while the kids run around, of even just a small picnic blanket and a good book to read. All the amenities mentioned above are in close proximity to each other, so no long distance treks back and forth! The park itself is pretty massive, from where I usually go (water park) I can see a dog park and baseball diamond in the distance. The splash park is my favorite feature. The kids will play for hours! A nice alternative to paying for other local pools and waterparks. It even has extended hours in the summer. I'm here at 7pm (July 17th) right now and it's still going. The kids love it, I love it. I highly recommend.

Awesome dog park!!!! The have a great dog park. They have two enclosed sections. One for the small doggies and one for the big doggies. There are a few obstacles to for your dogs to use. A huge beam and some stairs. I went yesterday and one side was getting it's grass cut. Alot of attention has been to the dog park as it highly maintained and clean. There are plastic bags provided in case your lilttle loved one takes a dump. lol. Alot of locals come here and allow their dogs to socialize with each other. There are benches for you sit down but no shade, weak. But no bother. The dogs totally enjoy them selves. And that's all that matters for me. As for the rest of Morse Park, there is a huge playground for children and a water park which is free. Why pay at the Aquatic center on Bruceville. Basketball courts and a skate park is available for the teenagers. This place seems very safe. I totally recommend anyone of any age to go here and enjoy the sun. There is something for everyone.

Awesome park in Elk Grove! It's a BIG park with a full basketball court, variety of playgrounds for kids of all sizes, a water park for the hot summer, restrooms, and plenty of shade and seating. The only reason they are short of 5stars is the cleanliness of the restrooms. Could use some updates and lights.

Went there for the dog park which has separate areas for toy dogs and large dogs which some of the older dog parks don't have. All the dog owners seem to be local regulars and all very friendly. Visited twiceand always saw at least 10 dogs on both sides. For training agility the large dog side has a agility beam. But because the park is so new the tree are small and don't provide much shade while you stay. This park does have everything water park, jogging trail, full court basketball court, baseball fields climbing rocks, and snack shack. Seems like a great place with a lot to do for the summer.

I like going for walks here. It's actually a very large park. It made me chuckle that they had a small and big dog park. Depending on the hours of the day or which day...you can catch people training their dogs. I saw someone training 2 little Alaskan Malamute puppies. Most adorable looking things ever. Funny too see walking and being commanded to sit and stay. The pups looked up with the coolest little smiles. Loved it. It's been hottttt lately. The only downfall would be not much shade around. Depending on your work schedule...plan on your walks early mornings or evenings. Carry your water bottle!!

My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

There are pickle ball courts and clean large bathrooms which is a must for little kids. The water spouts come in the summer and kids can play all day here. The best part is they have an annual 4th of July viewing at this park where the community comes out in lawn chairs and just hangs out. This is one of the great parks in Elk Grove.

My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back.

Adj: Fantastically Fun!…read more Oasis Community Park, a highly anticipated park that opened several years ago at the corner Knotts and Whitelock Parkway between the newer Walmart on Whitelock and the Elk Grove Auto Mall. My kids really like this park, it's not my favorite as a parent and I'll go into that later, but this park is one of the newest ones in Elk Grove and it's been a good one, even though it's now been open about 3+ years, we've not bored of it at all. We used to come here a lot, but my kids are a bit older now and they're not as into parks anymore, but if we meet up with their friends here and have a "park date," then they're totally up for it b/c there's a lot to do here. First there's a concrete walking trail around the whole park, so parents can walk their dogs or just themselves =P around and keep an eye on their kids at the same time. One side of the park (north side) features an OASIS water spray zone where there's several water shooting from the ground thingamabobs (yup!) as well as some coming out of fake palm trees and animals that are quite powerful and give the kids a fun run for their money as they try to dodge the water OR run across the water features over and over again or jump on them to get super wet. This is great in the hot dry summers in EG. On the south side of the park are several play structures for different age groups. There's climbing ones and sliding down ones, and swings and a small ropes course type structure. I like that there's playgrounds designed for different age groups based on their age appropriate development. So the 1 star knocked off is that as a parent, this park is super spread out and there's not really any shaded areas (there's the general tarp shades over each play structure) w/SEATING for parents to be close to so they can supervise their kids (at least when they're little), the giant gazebo (more details below) is all the way in the middle of the park and the structures are more towards the southern part, so it's harder to watch one's kids especially if each kid wants to play in a different section. So that's a bit of a safety issue and why it's not my favorite park to take my kids to from a parent's POV. Other offerings at Oasis park are great too, to include an exercise equipment section, basketball court, 2 soccer fields that are lighted at night, multiple pickleball courts that are opened and lighted till late like 10p, and a couple of tennis courts too. Then there's also a concrete ping pong table (may need the stronger balls for this), a dog park, a huge gazebo right in the middle of the park that is perfect for parties, with 2 BBQs grills built-in with 8 tables, 2 smaller gazebos with 1 built-in BBQ, all of which are great as a hanging out place for parents and kids alike to cool down after fun in the sun. There's also so much open grass area for free play, volleyball, or just running around, and everything's nicely landscaped and maintained, so there's no lack of fun to be had here. Overall, Oasis Park is an excellent park and definitely one of the best if not the best park in EG!

This park isn't about playground structures or a ton of built features. It's really about the space. The grassy field is massive, and on weekends you'll usually see soccer teams practicing, families tossing a ball around, or people spreading out blankets for picnics. One of my favorite things when I'm walking my dogs is just seeing people stretched out in the grass enjoying the park. There's something about that scene that makes the whole neighborhood feel calm and connected. The park also sits right along the lake, which gives you beautiful water views on both sides. Every walk feels a little different depending on the light and the season. I've seen swans gliding across the water more than once, and oddly enough I've even spotted koi fish in there too. I've been walking my dogs here daily since the 90s when we first moved to Laguna West, and it's still something I genuinely look forward to every single day. That says a lot about a park. Small moment I love: the summer sunsets here are incredible. When the sun drops over the lake and the sky starts glowing, it turns an everyday dog walk into something that feels pretty special. Helpful tip: If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, bring a blanket and sit closer to the water's edge. The breeze off the lake makes it one of the most peaceful spots in the neighborhood. Some parks are about activities. This one is about slowing down--and after all these years, it still does that perfectly.
