This is a huge park with great climbing rocks and structures for those who love to climb. The playground is very nice. There is equipment for adult exercising. There are 4 beautiful baseball fields with restrooms (that were locked because there weren't any games being played. There are extensive concrete sidewalks all over the park. The description indicates a skatepark (which is south of the dog park) but it was a disappointment and very small. (just a few grinding steps) There was a full basketball court and a community center building It's a large, beautiful park with a splash park by the playground. No convenient restrooms were the one negative for us. read more

I brought my granddaughter to Morse Community Park for outdoor fun. There are two sections - one play structure for smaller children(ages 2 - 5), and a larger structure for older children. There are climbing walls, rope climbing nets, slides, and swings. My granddaughter was very entertained and played for quite a while. Even though it wasn't a "hot" day, we should have brought water since there are no drinking fountains. read more

A great park that's more a regional park than a neighborhood park bc of its size. There's 2 big playgrounds, a big basketball court, several baseball field, a dog parks, water spray features, BATHROOMS, and lots of lots of open space (some of which isn't regularly kept up landscape-wise, unfortunately). There's amble parking unless there's a baseball game (or two or three) going on. My kids love this one, and I would too, except it's almost always busy and I feel it's not as safe as smaller parks where I can more easily keep track of them as there are so many kids and adults here and I have to constantly track them with my all-seeing eyes, and so can't just sit back and relax a bit, haha... In the summer time, the water features are super popular for upper 90s and 100+ days. The only downside to this park is probably that CSD doesn't seem to mow down the overgrown grass on the corner of Fire Poppy/Bellaterra. I'm not sure why/how they can leave all that grass uncut as I imagine it's a fire hazard in dry season and just overall an eyesore. I personally prefer the smaller parks nearby like Keema Park, and Jungkeit Park, both of which are less than 1/2 a mile away. I just reviewed those two, go check them out! =P read more

I love this park it's so clean and fun for all ages. I am looking forward to the Sports Center coming soon! I always bring my fur babies to the dog park which has a place for small and large dogs to gather, play and get some exercise. Good park with tons to do. There is a dog park near the parking lot and a water park that operates sometimes during the Summer. I like going here for walks or runs. They have a really nice trail along the park. Then I go play some ball at either the basketball court or at one of the baseball fields. read more

Awesome dog park!!!! The have a great dog park.They have two enclosed sections. One for the small doggies and one for the big doggies. There are a few obstacles to for your dogs to use. A huge beam and some stairs. I went yesterday and one side was getting it's grass cut. Alot of attention has been to the dog park as it highly maintained and clean. There are plastic bags provided in case your lilttle loved one takes a dump. lol. Alot of locals come here and allow their dogs to socialize with each other. There are benches for you sit down but no shade, weak. But no bother. The dogs totally enjoy them selves. And that's all that matters for me. As for the rest of Morse Park, there is a huge playground for children and a water park which is free. Why pay at the Aquatic center on Bruceville. Basketball courts and a skate park is available for the teenagers. This place seems very safe. I totally recommend anyone of any age to go here and enjoy the sun. Morse park is soooo perfect. I've only been to one dog park and it exceeded my expectations. There are two sides to the dog park: small dogs and big dogs. They are fenced areas and the large breed dogs do not come in contact with the small breed dogs unless someone brings in a large dog into the small dog side and vice versa. Make sure when you enter the dog park to unleash your dog so that he won't be pulling you around. All the dogs go pretty crazy, smelling each other you know. Also, watch over your dog! Your dog is your responsibility. Don't expect for other people to be able to handle your companion. My puppy yogi enjoys coming here and interacting with all the dogs. All the dogs are friendly and obedient, which is exactly what I want him to be. I plan on taking him 3-4x here a week although it's about 15 minutes from my house. read more

Went there for the dog park which has separate areas for toy dogs and large dogs which some of the older dog parks don't have. All the dog owners seem to be local regulars and all very friendly. Visited twiceand always saw at least 10 dogs on both sides. For training agility the large dog side has a agility beam. But because the park is so new the tree are small and don't provide much shade while you stay. This park does have everything water park, jogging trail, full court basketball court, baseball fields climbing rocks, and snack shack. I like going for walks here. It's actually a very large park. It made me chuckle that they had a small and big dog park. Depending on the hours of the day or which day...you can catch people training their dogs. I saw someone training 2 little Alaskan Malamute puppies. Most adorable looking things ever. Funny too see walking and being commanded to sit and stay. The pups looked up with the coolest little smiles. Loved it. It's been hottttt lately. The only downfall would be not much shade around. Depending on your work schedule...plan on your walks early mornings or evenings. Carry your water bottle!! read more

This is an excellent park! Splash zone for the kids in the summer, soccer fields, shaded areas, parking lot, basketball court, restrooms, even a small rock climbing section in the jungle gym area. This is a great place to pitch a tent and just chill on a summer day while the kids run around, of even just a small picnic blanket and a good book to read. All the amenities mentioned above are in close proximity to each other, so no long distance treks back and forth! The park itself is pretty massive, from where I usually go (water park) I can see a dog park and baseball diamond in the distance. The splash park is my favorite feature. The kids will play for hours! A nice alternative to paying for other local pools and waterparks. It even has extended hours in the summer. I'm here at 7pm (July 17th) right now and it's still going. Could this be the park of all parks? I'd definitely say so! Surrounded by a sea of suburban tract homes is the gorgeous Morse Community Park. Just when I thought Elk Grove was building nothing but houses and restaurants, a jewel of happiness was made in the midst of it all. With its playground, open water park, baseball field, basketball court, skate park, split dog park, tons of paths to roam on and even more grass to spread a blanket on, how could you not fall in love with this place? It's so clean, spacious and obviously well maintained. I've already started spreading the word about this park and will continue to be a frequent visitor. Dog park review: My friends and I sat on top of the tiny grass hill with Prince Nemo -a chubby, perfectly named Shih Tzu that loves sitting in high places per his human- on Sunday around 7pm. As we sat there watching over about 15 of the Prince's jesters rolling, romping, and tummy-scooting, I couldn't help but notice how well-behaved all of them were (not to mention entertaining). Ok, maybe Lulu (my Westie) was barking a bit too much, but I think she was learning a thing or two from the others about good doggie manners. Not only were the dogs model citizens, the owners did well to keep up the positive vibes by enjoying friendly conversation and keeping the grounds poop-free. Both small and large dog sides are appropriately sized and contain a hill, water fountains, poop bags, benches and young trees that have yet to provide real shade. I've only been to a few dog parks, but I've noticed a common trend- large dog areas always have cooler agility play things! No fair. Here, there's a "dogwalk" (looks like a small bridge), and the small dogs get a board with a hole cut in it. Woohoo? I'll cross my fingers for something a bit more impressive for Lulu to refuse to understand, hahaha. So far, this is my favorite dog park. 2 paws up! read more

I love this park, it has everything for every age range. If you're a sweaty mid-20 something year old guy that wants to bump shoulders with other sweaty mid-20 year old guys, then the basketball court is it for you. If you have 4 young children and cannot afford the $5 fee to the Aquatic center on Bruceville, then the water playground is it for you. If you need a place to enroll your future Barry Bond or Mark Mcguir wannabe, then the four baseball diamonds is it for you. If you're a single person with a dog hoping to meet other single people, then the dog park is it for you. As for me, the reason why I love this place is that its clean, its friendly, and most importantly, it is exactly at the 5-mile marker from my house when I go out for my morning or my evening run. p.s. Morse park has an awesome dog park! I love bringing my girl Kirra here to play with other dogs. This is one of the few parks I've been to that actually supplies pop bags making it easier to pick up after your dog. Morse also separates the small and large dogs which gives you a peace of mind since you don't have to worry as much as to your dog getting hurt or hurting another. The owners that come here are also pretty great. The majority of the time they are respectful and actually keep an eye on their dog, intervening when needed. Few tips if you want to bring your dog to a dog park: 1. When you enter take your dog OFF the leash. Leaving your dog tied up makes it a marker for other dogs and the rough housing turns to fighting pretty quickly. 2. Make sure your dog is spayed/neutered. For one it's the right thing to do. Secondly it decreases the amount of fights. Thirdly if your animal isn't fixed, be prepared for looks of judgement from the other owners. 3. Make sure your dogs shots are all upgraded. Don't assume everyone else's animal is 100% healthy. Plus if your don't isn't vaccinated then you're risking ringing something that can infect the other dogs. 4. Pay attention to your dog. Seriously. If your animal starts humping other pets or becoming more aggressive it needs to be addressed. If you're off in la-la land then your risking other peoples safety as they'll have to intervene with YOUR dog. 5. Last of all, clean up after your dog. I should technically put this under #4 but it's such a pain to see people not do it that making it it's own number. All in all I love this park. It's a great and safe place to bring your dog and get them socialized. :) read more

This is a large public park in Elk Grove. It has lots of play equipment, pavilions, wide open fields, and a decent size water park for the summer heat. You can reserve the park areas for parties/events, but you have to do so by going through the city and paying a fee. People will attempt to put their own reserved signs on the tables and in the pavilions, but these mean nothing. Its first come first serve unless your reserve it ahead of time and pay. If you are having a large party, I suggest you just pay so you're not depressed when someone sleeps overnight in the pavilion to reserve it. However, it is illegal to remain in the park overnight, so there is one option if you need someone removed! read more

What a nice, clean, well-maintained park! We're here for a baseball tournament, and there are 4 fields, all joined together at home plate. There's also a snack bar and restrooms. The bleachers are covered, and there's cement all around, so there's no need for sports chairs and pop-up's. Looks like a nice experience all around. read more

It's close by. We were waiting for this park to open forever! Every stage of construction. We checked it out. Finally! My dog makes a lot of friends here. The large and small dogs can interact without fighting. It's always clean. The waterers are an awesome thing, especially during summer. It's good to see people within the community interacting. I love this park... It is wonderful and am super jealous that it isn't that close to my home and right around the block from my brothers home.. Anyhow, enough of me hating! The park has everything you can think of a dog park, soccer, volleyball, base and basketball, picnic tables, BBQ, playgrounds for the wee ones and older kiddo, there is an awesome water play area for the kids that can accommodate the littlest to the oldest of people, and did I mentioned that the park has clean and full stocked restrooms! Since getting our dog Roxie, we have become regulars at this dog park. If you are looking for a park that is separated for small and large dogs, this is the place for you. The people in both parks are extremely nice and helpful. It is a great place to get your dog socialized and a nice hang out spot for adults as well. I noticed that different dogs comes on different days. Sometime there are only 5 dogs, sometimes there are 30...all depends on the weather. For the most part, people are really nice, but sometime it gets "clique-ish" with the older crowd, you will know who I talking about once you are there. Don't mind them and just enjoy your time there. They mean well, but have a hard time showing it. It is funny how you will remember all of the dogs names, but none of the owners..haha. The rest of the park is just amazing. 1 Full size basketball court, 4 baseball diamonds, 2 skate park areas, plenty of grass, and a bunch of tables for BBQ. The best part of all, there is a water park!! That is the best thing about Elk Grove, there are plenty of great parks to choose one. I am only writing about the dog park. It is a cleaner park than the Elk Grove dog park. I love that they have a separate park for big and small dogs. I really have no complaints about this park. A reason for 4 stars only is because they don't have trees or shades within the dog park itself so if it is a warm day, expect to be in the heat with your dog. Great Park! It is very big, and found SEVERAL Pokèmon here! Pokèmon Go-ers there are lots of Pokemon here, and several Pokestops. Several people were also playing Pokemon Go, and put Lure Modules on the Pokestops, anyways, they have Food Truck Mania and Free Concerts here once a month, and there are lots of nice Elk Grove-ians here. There are baseball fields, soccer fields, a water park to beat the Elk Grove Heat, fitness areas, restrooms, a bocce-ball area, a skate area, green grass, and lots of parking!
