Came here on a weekend afternoon and this time, we hit the pickleball courts. I've not even been to this part of the park, could've fooled me, all this time I thought these were tennis courts, haha. Just goes to show how much I know. My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back. read more

Adj: Fantastically Fun! Oasis Community Park, a highly anticipated park that opened several years ago at the corner Knotts and Whitelock Parkway between the newer Walmart on Whitelock and the Elk Grove Auto Mall. My kids really like this park, it's not my favorite as a parent and I'll go into that later, but this park is one of the newest ones in Elk Grove and it's been a good one, even though it's now been open about 3+ years, we've not bored of it at all. We used to come here a lot, but my kids are a bit older now and they're not as into parks anymore, but if we meet up with their friends here and have a "park date," then they're totally up for it b/c there's a lot to do here. First there's a concrete walking trail around the whole park, so parents can walk their dogs or just themselves =P around and keep an eye on their kids at the same time. One side of the park (north side) features an OASIS water spray zone where there's several water shooting from the ground thingamabobs (yup!) as well as some coming out of fake palm trees and animals that are quite powerful and give the kids a fun run for their money as they try to dodge the water OR run across the water features over and over again or jump on them to get super wet. This is great in the hot dry summers in EG. On the south side of the park are several play structures for different age groups. There's climbing ones and sliding down ones, and swings and a small ropes course type structure. I like that there's playgrounds designed for different age groups based on their age appropriate development. So the 1 star knocked off is that as a parent, this park is super spread out and there's not really any shaded areas (there's the general tarp shades over each play structure) w/SEATING for parents to be close to so they can supervise their kids (at least when they're little), the giant gazebo (more details below) is all the way in the middle of the park and the structures are more towards the southern part, so it's harder to watch one's kids especially if each kid wants to play in a different section. So that's a bit of a safety issue and why it's not my favorite park to take my kids to from a parent's POV. Other offerings at Oasis park are great too, to include an exercise equipment section, basketball court, 2 soccer fields that are lighted at night, multiple pickleball courts that are opened and lighted till late like 10p, and a couple of tennis courts too. Then there's also a concrete ping pong table (may need the stronger balls for this), a dog park, a huge gazebo right in the middle of the park that is perfect for parties, with 2 BBQs grills built-in with 8 tables, 2 smaller gazebos with 1 built-in BBQ, all of which are great as a hanging out place for parents and kids alike to cool down after fun in the sun. There's also so much open grass area for free play, volleyball, or just running around, and everything's nicely landscaped and maintained, so there's no lack of fun to be had here. Overall, Oasis Park is an excellent park and definitely one of the best if not the best park in EG! read more

Lovely park in the Elk Grove area and a great place to get your steps in. My husband and I go here often to walk our dog and have picnics in the park. It's clean and a nice open space. There are pickle ball courts, playgrounds, a dog park, and even a rec center. My friend also rented space here for a kid's birthday party with outdoor activities - it was a great location. Plenty of parking in the lot, and you can also park along the side of the park. read more

This park is awesome! I came here to meet a friend with my 17 month old daughter. Her daughter is 2 and we were going specifically for the splash pad. Once they warmed up to it they had a ton of fun! My daughter loved it! She was soaked once we left. You control the water from poles and a circle on one of the palm trees. There were a ton of kids but everyone was well behaved. We went to the playground after and it was really nice as well. Two separate, one for toddlers and one for older kids. More than just a playground I'm just not sure what the other play equipment would be called. Big bathrooms and lots of table to sit and eat. Can't wait til the trees are grown in here, could use a little more shade, but great as it!! Would recommend this park!! read more

Nice spacious new park in Elk Grove! Tucked away in the new home developments here, Oasis Park is a pleasant family park with a variety of amenities. There are pickle ball and tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds for kids, walking trails, and exercise equipment (great pull-up bars). The size of the park is huge so I can't see this park feeling too crowded even if there are a lot of people here. Plenty of curbside neighborhood parking. Everything appeared to be well maintained, clean, and new. Quiet too. read more

Oasis park is large enough for several youth soccer teams to practice on, but don't count on much shade, if any. There's a nice sidewalk around the park for walking, for those that just want to get in a walk. There's are houses along the east side of the park so you will be competing for parking space along that side. I don't think there is parking along the south side. This is one of the newer neighborhoods in Elk Grove, south of Whitlock, and is relatively new to me. read more

There's a great Pickleball court right here in Elk Grove. It's one of the best lights until 10 PM nightly there's a lot of players here. Highly recommend any beginner or qualified player to stop by and play.! read more

Absolutely love this park! I wish I lived near/closer to Elk Grove. They have a huge splash pad, I say it's definitely larger than other ones I've seen in the Sacramento area. Just a lot more water features. Then, they have two large playground areas . One is for the smaller kids and the other older kids with bigger slides (I forgot to take pics). But I just love how they have soooo many obstacles and play equipment for the kids. They have a large covered seating area right in between the splash pad and playground area. Then on the opposite side of the splash pad is more coverts seating. Both are great for hosting parties. There is a bathroom area, flushing toilets, which stocked toilet paper. There were out of soap in the bathroom for washing hands but it's okay, luckily I had wet wipes handy. There is also a large grassy area, primarily for soccer but it wasn't in use for soccer the day I went. Parking lot is plentiful. I didn't have an issue finding a spot and I went in a Sunday around 10am and by the time I least which was 12pm, again there were still plenty of parking spots available. read more

This review is for the dog park only! Like the other review said, there are some aggressive dogs here and the "regulars" group together. People don't pay attention to their dogs bc they're so busy chatting with other folks or on their phones. I used to frequent here but it's gotten too common where people just don't pay attention to their dogs. Go at your own risk but be vigilant to take care of your dog. If you go there, you'll clearly spot out the regulars. Similar to a clique as sad as that sounds read more

We came here on a Saturday. It's in a new construction area so there was a little parking lot and street parking. This park is pretty big and there's a water area. There are some areas you can rent. There is another covered area that's first come first serve. There's not much other shade. There's a lot of open area. Overall good park for little kids. read more

If I could give this park 4.5 stars I would! I'm knocking it simply for sanitation reasons with their restrooms. I'll get to that later. I've always passed this park but never actually got to bring my kids there. Today we did due to a birthday party! It was perfect. There's a variety of things to keep the kids occupied here too. There's the park itself accompanied with a sand area (not a boring sandbox type either), water play/spray area, very large dog park, a cement ping pong table, cement corn holes, various grass areas, and two picnic sites that you can reserve. Always a plus!! We had site A yet walking around to view Site B it looked significantly bigger. FYI. There also may have been more areas and things I didn't catch today! Moving onto restrooms... I can't speak for the men's but women's I was impressed with how well maintained it was for a very busy park. However, upon going into the stall there was no feminine waste bin. YUCK! There was just a pile of TP, feminine product trash, etc. in the corner of the stall. Smelled disgusting. CSD, these are absolutely necessary. Please install ASAP! Parking situation could be better. They have a decent lot yet for this park's size I wish they would've made it with more spaces. Or even have another lot. Aside from the bathroom and parking cons when looking to have future play dates on this side of EG Oasis will be on my list. Let's hope the next time we visit bathrooms will be tended to. read more

Oasis Park, is the premier place to play pickleball if you're ever in the South Sacramento/ Elk Grove area. It's very evident right away that this park and the facilities are brand new: there are six pickleball courts and two tennis courts, a soccer field, a basketball court, a dog park and ample parking for visitors. I started coming here to play tennis, but its clear that pickleball is definitely a regular activity for a good portion of the visitors. The pickleball community here is very tight knit and clear that they are regulars (some come everyday if almost every other day). The lighting is still very new and the courts as well, hardly any cracks and no bad bounces. If you decide to come in the evening, prepare to wait in line till you can get a game, as the overflow waiting area is often very full. If your the type to play drop-in pickleball and you don't have a partner this is the place to be! Skill levels of the players here range from beginners to experts (a few actively compete) in regular pickleball tournaments. Pickleball doesn't have an active team league, like with the USTA and tennis but this location is the main court for the Elk Grove Pickleball Club a paid club of community members who play mainly play here and host regular tournaments and mixers. From what I know the members are active here and they reserve the courts for those special days. On weekdays, most people play here till the lights close at 10pm, so its definitely a place to visit if you're intent on getting skilled at pickleball. On the tennis side, its a lot less crowded and you can definitely get a court right away, just be aware that the pickleball side can be very active/loud, however if that's not an issue, this is a great place for a one on one hitting/coaching session before a big tournament day. Overall this park is a gem of a park for the Elk Grove community, and I'd say one of the places where you can find skilled pickleball players in a public setting. read more

Highlight of this park: Spray Water Park and Dog Park! This park is extremely well maintained. Feels like a very commercial park, it's a flat plain with lots of concrete paths and lots of extremely open grass space (at soccer area). Good for people who want to play frisbee etc when soccer is not in use. Water park area is awesome! It was fun to walk thru there even and feel the cool mist. I see the kids having tons of fun! The other side of kid playground is extremely colorful and new. Such as slides, monkey bar,balance net, spinners, swings, etc I also see one Ping pong table and a mini outdoor chest press gym (for workouts) Large gazebo (shaded area) in the center of the park with 9 benches. This is literally the only shady area! This park lacks tall trees for free shade. Not ideal to picnic and read a book out here on the grass. Dog edition: The dog park is amazing! So clean! Small and large dog section is separated. There is a shaded, cemented gazebo at the center of the park to sit at while watching the dogs. Dogs have the option to play in well-groomed grass or sanded area. Lots of tennis balls and there are dog gym stuff to engage with your dog to try! Awesomeeee read more

This park is hugeeee. Definitely the biggest park I ever been to. Plenty of different play structure. The sand area also very big. Lots of picnic tables. Saw people are having party and block the whole picnic area.so not sure if first time first serve to do party there . Place looks very new. One of the playground has shade but the rest not really. It will be nice if they actually had shades in the whole playground area. If you come during hot time the play structure can be really hot so be careful with it if your kids actually want to play with the rides. They also has water park and lots of different courts to play sports. The water park are pretty big and nice looking like the coconut tree, camel water spray more like oasis theme.Fyi the water smell like chlorine water.went to many different water park and this one actually smells like chlorine. They have like three exercises equipment by the front area but seems like 2 of them are not working. Very far from where we live but definitely worth to check it out ! read more

This is an awesome park. I've played tennis here before with a friend. Today I met another friend and we played pickup pickle ball for over an hour. Everyone was competitive but very respectful. Love coming here for the dog park! Separated small and large park. Lots of space and kept very clean. There are usually balls in the park available to play with your pup. Plenty of seating that is spread out so if you don't want to be social you don't have to. Poop bags available and bathrooms located by the park. 10/10! read more

This park has 6 Pickleball courts and 2 Tennis courts. There is a small and large dog park and a lot of cool options on the playground. There is a nice loop trail that can be used for riding/walking. There is some construction on what looks like to be a recreation center or something. I definitely recommend you check it out. read more

Review for the dog park only! This dog park is gorgeous! It's on the newer side, so very clean and lots of space for dogs to run around. As with most parks, there is a small and large side. I wish I loved this dog park more but I won't be returning for a few reasons. Hoping this will be helpful for other dog owners! - Several aggressive dogs on the large dog side. - Seems to be very pack oriented with the regulars. - Owners not paying attention to their dogs: Some of them are either too busy socializing or on their phones. - A dog took my dog's ball & chewed/destroyed it. The owner (who witnessed this) didn't offer an apology or replacement & instead said "That's what happens when you bring a ball to the dog park." This just reflects some of the type of people who come here. If your dog is on the less aggressive side, and especially a pup please be extra attentive! While this may be a great park for some, it's unfortunately not a fit for us! read more

I had my daughters birthday party here, we did the reservation through csd to guarantee our spot. It was nice because the kids starting out playing on the two playgrounds they have, after cupcakes we took them over to play at the spray park area, which they have a nice spray park. Our friends loved the birthday party so much they threw their daughters party there a few weeks later!
