Glenn Houde was only the second person to serve as Elk Grove Unified School District Superintendent ! During his 15 year tenure as superintendent, one high school and four elementary schools were built ! Plus many innovations were introduced within the school system. Some being ( zero tolerance behavior policies, modular scheduling and students having to take humanities classes). This is one of the nicer parks in the Elk Grove area. Open play area for multi-purpose use, two separate play areas, one for younger children as well as one for older ones. Two shaded structures with picnic tables in both. One half basketball court., two tennis courts, and a walking path lined with beautiful flowers. A well maintained park that offers so much amenities deserves the highest reward !

One of the personal trainers, Ezequiel, treated him with a rude and condescending attitude just for trying to use the fitness equipment that is available to the members. My youngest daughter has also included that Ezequiel has a "stuck up" attitude and when she has asked to use some of the equipment. The perception that she has received was "that it was a problem". Hoping to resolve this professionally, I reported the incident directly to the membership director, Alex, and explicitly requested that the issue be escalated to the Regional General Manager, Rich Novelli. After receiving no response from Rich, I went out of my way to leave him a voicemail message, early evening, on Tuesday, October 27. Earlier in the day on Tuesday, I was surprised when my partner said that he was going to the gym. Sadly, he was approached by Ezequiel and Caleb, Health and Wellness Director. Rather than working to find a solution in making the member "happy", the conversation turned into an argument full of excuses. These two specific trainers are often seen with a cup of coffee or having their phones in hand when providing personal training to a member. Their attention should be on the members they are working with, possibly correcting the members form to prevent injury. In addition, there are visible signs specifically noting that phones were not allowed. It is clear that management here does not care about member experiences, basic customer service or holding their staff accountable. If you expect a respectful workout environment and management that actually responds to paying members, look elsewhere! We are.

On 7/25/26, we wanted to come to the gym to play indoor volleyball because we heard it was their one year anniversary of opening. So they were having free day visit from 2-5pm. Normally $14 for day pass. Went with group of 7 with my boyfriend's family. It most of our first time at the gym expect for two others. The gym seemed nice from the outside and there was plenty of parking. It's also right next to a public park so it was family friendly. The guy working at the front desk explained the special occasion for today and had us scan a QR code to make an account. Pretty easy enough... But then he said that we had to add our physical IDs and pictures did not work. Unfortunately, we had two minors so they didn't have any ID. We explained to them that the two minors were my boyfriend's cousins, but the front desk said that we had to have their legal guardian with them. We were explaining to him that 4 of was were over the age of 18 years old. (2 of us are 30 years old) so we can be the responsible guardians. He basically said that it wasn't allowed. But then a little later, the guy said that if they if the two kids had a school ID that would be sufficient. As we were pulling out the school ID, a lady working on the other side of the desk interrupts us and said that there had a be a DOB on the cards. After taking a long time and some frustration, we left. It was irritating because we just wanted to visit for the one free day but we couldn't even get in over something so small. We even drove 40 minutes away to come all the way here. They didn't even apologize to us about the whole confusion. The whole visit left us with a bad impression and disappointment.

But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10
