There's parking and a tip is to park under the solar panels. There's plenty of shade all day! The bathrooms are okay. They get the job done. When I went, only 1 out of the 3 soaps were filled and just a heads up, there's no paper towels. The snack bar opened up later in the afternoon by the softball fields when I attended. We were able to set up a nice picnic under shade near the soccer field. Overall, I highly recommend this park. I didn't even get to explore all of it and I cannot wait to come back to do so.

Glenn Houde was only the second person to serve as Elk Grove Unified School District Superintendent ! During his 15 year tenure as superintendent, one high school and four elementary schools were built ! Plus many innovations were introduced within the school system. Some being ( zero tolerance behavior policies, modular scheduling and students having to take humanities classes). This is one of the nicer parks in the Elk Grove area. Open play area for multi-purpose use, two separate play areas, one for younger children as well as one for older ones. Two shaded structures with picnic tables in both. One half basketball court., two tennis courts, and a walking path lined with beautiful flowers. A well maintained park that offers so much amenities deserves the highest reward !

The playground has a dinosaur theme with pre-historic looking fossils and dino footprints embedded in the concrete. We had a good time. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members. What is particularly frustrating is that these rules and differences in treatment were not clearly explained at the time of joining or during the sign-up process. Members are not made aware in advance that swimmers may be treated differently or have more restricted access compared to other members. There have also been repeated instances where a female parent has entered the boys' locker room many many times, which raises additional concerns about how locker room access rules are being enforced and managed. I have raised these issues with management, but they have not been addressed in a transparent or satisfactory way. If you are considering joining with children in the swim team, I would strongly recommend asking very specific questions about facility access and how policies are applied before committing.

Sunday morning: 30+ people waiting for ONE basketball court, while another full court was reserved for volleyball with just one person using it. Scheduling courts by preset sport type instead of actual demand makes zero sense. It leads to overcrowding, frustration, and people walking out. And no, renting a court is not a solution. Members are already paying monthly fees. Being told to pay extra for space that's clearly underused -- especially by a rude staff member -- just makes it worse. Around 11:30 I went to court 3, I saw a lot of people shooting the hoop in 40+ ft up, and that kid was still playing solo there. And the gym still allowed it. What a joke. If you care about actually being able to use the facilities you pay for, think twice before joining.

It's about basic management and understanding demand. When you have overwhelming interest in basketball during peak hours and almost no usage for volleyball, why would the schedule not reflect that? Why not adjust in real time? Why not prioritize based on actual member participation? Instead, members were left standing around, frustrated, wasting their Sunday morning. Many people ended up leaving because the wait was unreasonable. That's not a good experience, especially for a gym that members pay for. It feels like management either doesn't pay attention to what's actually happening on the floor or simply doesn't care enough to make adjustments. If the courts are consistently mismanaged like this, it shows a lack of responsiveness and respect for members' time. If you're thinking about joining this gym -- think twice. If you're a current member who mainly comes to play basketball, be prepared for overcrowding and poor scheduling decisions. It's hard to recommend this place when basic court allocation isn't handled properly. Members deserve better organization, better communication, and better management than this. Honestly, if this continues, it's not worth it. Stay away if court access matters to you.
