Soccer World - Snack bar/ gathering area for party

Today, I attended my granddaughter's birthday party at an indoor Soccer Facility called Soccer…read moreWorld. It's a large soccer facility with bleachers for fans and family for soccer games and events. There's a snack bar, which was closed for the party, and an eating area, that was quite tight for a party of 60 when we're eating at the same time, but fortunately, we were able to spread out and use the bleachers when we ran out of table space. This is a great venue for soccer fans and soccer players, especially on very hot days like today, when you can still enjoy where it's cool indoors. All the kids had a great time. Finding the place was quite challenging on map apps, because it got you to the location, but if you didn't know to turn in, and drive clear to the back, past rows of warehouse buildings to the very end, and turn right, you will have trouble finding it.

FREE parking is a plus. Place was packed! The small bleachers seemed to fit a lot of parents and other kids waiting for their turn to play. Food avail at the snack bar were regular snack foods, mostly catered to the Latin community (tacos/churros/mexican coke and candies from Mexico) What I ordered: Churros (2 for $2) Small slushie ($2) Cheese fries ($8) Mexican Coke The employees were super friendly and helpful! Fast service. Clean tables. Bathrooms may need better cleaning but wasn't too bad. Not enough space for parents in the snack bar area, mostly people were standing around and in the way.. I'll be back for soccer games in the future.

This park is not closed and is much "Alive and Open" This park is named after Arnie and Iris Zimbelman . During their many trips to Europe, there was something about Vienna that really captured their hearts. Arnie and Iris noticed that all the small towns had some kind of event where people can par-take in. The love of music was bringing everyone together ! The Zimbelman's were instrumental in creating the "Strauss Festival" here in Elk Grove Park! The park is 5.3 acres in size and built in 1995. It is part of the Cosumnes Community Service District (Laguna). It has an large open play area giving residence room for soccer or youth baseball. Other features of the park are, picnic area with tables, a BBQ, a gazebo for shade, a playground with slides and climbing structures, a 20 car parking lot, a portable restroom, and a jogging/bike trail along Laguna Creek. Got to check-out this bike trail . Let' do this !

The park was clean and well kept. I always go early so it's usually me and maybe one or two other people there running or the guys cutting grass, I'm not sure about how crowded it gets in the evening hours.

It sits squarely in the hood....24th & Fruitridge. The parking situation has got to be the worst ever. No one adheres to the lovely painted lines, and cars are jam packed in there like it's a used car parking lot. My main issue is the referee's. They don't ever seem to have a handle on the games, things get very physical and could potentially escalate. I pay to play soccer and in hopes to have a good time, I sure as hell don't play to have broken bones or continual bruises. I can see this situation becoming very bad, I hope they do something about it soon. Oddly enough, they also have a handball court in here too. No one has ever been playing a game when I'm there, but it houses a great area for the little kids and big kids...aka spectators...to kick the ball around and run around in general! They definitely gave this once steril warehouse facility a great new paint job. Planets, solar system, stars...very outer space looking...but what does outer space have to do with soccer? Absolutely nothing...so random.. However, they have about 7 LG TV's lined up, like you'd see at Best Buy, so its great to catch a sports game while you are playing soccer. Also, don't run late, because you have to check in at the window and get a silly paper bracelet, which validates you playing on the field. Go figure... Hope you don't get lost like Pluto...

It's right next to Helen Carr Castello Elementary School, so there should be quite the foot traffic coming through here, but the times we've been here, it's usually quite empty. PROs: - not crowded, w/nice gazebo with picnic tables - nice play structure for little kids - LOTS of open space - green grassy fields far as the eyes can see (almost) - long paved walkway for strolling through the park. - baseball field for those who play CONs: - not too much featured here, could have more set up like a second play structure would be nice - no bathrooms All in all, a pretty decent little neighborhood park. While no bathroom, I think it's quite centrally located being right off Fire Poppy not too far down when you turn into it from EG Blvd. It gets overlooked, but that also means you can easily plunk yourself here and do a party here w/o competition for space.

I see groups of people have picnics, joga sessions, birthday celebrations from time to time. Overall, a nice small neighborhood park!! Elk Grove has MANY parks in every subdivision areas. My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10
