This park is a little neighborhood park. My kids play here sometimes. It's an old park, but it's been refreshed here and there and it's been maintained pretty well for the older neighborhood that it's in. It's on the corner of Hardester Dr. and Ardith Dr. Google Map says it's at 8280-8298 Hardester Dr. Here's the link to what it looks like and what it offers from Southgate Recreation & Park District (SRPD). http://www.southgaterecandpark.net/images/stories/pdfs/parks/hardester_park.pdf

Anyways, for being a smaller park, it's actually got a lot to offer. There's picnic area, tennis courts, soccer fields, a playground (of course), and even BBQ (I wouldn't use their grills, not sure how clean they are). The tennis courts are in pretty good shape for being public courts. My kids like the playground here even though it's not as fancy and new sparkly like the ones in Elk Grove. What they do have is SAND, so there's a lot of sand castle building here and they think they're at the beach. Good enough for me!
Fun place, doesn't take much to amuse my kids... or me. ;o) read more
