I've been a part of this gym essentially when they opened and this is the first gym I've joined. I've explored others, but didn't feel their prices were justified for how dated/dirty the facilities were or for services that I would probably not use. As you can see on the website, it is as low as $64/month if you connect your checking account, and $69/month if you use your credit card. There's a $1 enrollment fee and $5 processing fee (these seem to be one-time charges). There is a $39 enhancement fee which really is an annual fee to help with maintenance of the facility that begins 60 days after your membership begins. I guess in theory if you cancel before the 60 days, you wouldn't have to pay the enhancement fee. I like that this is a monthly membership rather than a yearly membership. Don't think they list it on the website, but you get 2 guest passes/month with your membership. The staff are very friendly and helpful in every way. They always greet members and say bye to them as they walk out. They really try to make an effort to interact with the members and get to know their names, which has been nice. They are also very helpful with getting members registered for classes if they have a hard time with using their Core by Cosumnes app. You can download the app to your phone and sign up for classes pretty easily. Classes are available to sign up 2 weeks in advance/at a time. The facility features two stories. There are 3 large rooms for classes/training (2 are downstairs - one is for personal training and you would have to pay extra for that, and the other downstairs room is REPS). There is the VIBE room which is upstairs next to the weight area. Next to the VIBE room outside, is the deck, which is where they plan to host their cycling classes. Downstairs is their courts, which seem pretty popular. I have not personally used their courts, which are available for basketball and pickleball. You can sign up to use the courts for these purposes. The downstairs area also has a spot where you can purchase clothing, snacks (protein bars), and sports drinks. The food is pretty reasonably priced, but I would probably pass up on the clothing (although I did buy a Junk brand headband, and it is pretty nice). Upstairs has a turfed area which has some mats and equipment for stretching. There are machines for strength training and cardio, weights, and an indoor track (you can oversee the courts). I believe you need 17 laps to make up 1 mile, so while it is repetitive, it is nice to not have to worry about the weather or traffic. I wished they designated a direction for certain days of the week or something (like the UCD ARC - for example, MWF is clockwise and vice versa or whatever), so that people aren't running random directions. Along the track are areas you can pause to stretch. It's nice there are windows to look out of while you run. There are plenty of lockers that are easy to use upstairs and downstairs. There are also cubbies inside of each classroom for your convenience. Each classroom has sanitizer wipes and the instructors will gently remind people to clean their equipment. There is also plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes throughout the gym. There's water stations throughout the facility and ample restrooms. The thing to note about the restrooms is that there are no paper towels, and they use dryers. The facility does not provide towels for working out, so bring your own. As far as classes, most of them are 45 minutes long. I've been to many of them, and here are some brief descriptions: -Zumba - self explanatory -Extreme hip hop step - essentially a step aerobics class, with multiple skill levels incorporated -Vinyasa yoga - yoga but with focus on strength and balance -Core cycle - cycling -Les Mills bodycombat - cardio based on martial arts moves -Les Mills bodypump - strength training but more reps -Les Mills grit strength - HIIT training essentially but for 30 minutes -Les Mills shapes - kind of like pilates and strength training in one class -Core strength - strength training/functional fitness -Core mat pilates - self explanatory Other classes available but haven't been to include Core functional fit, restorative yoga, Core knockout, Core barre...to name some. The instructors are very friendly and approachable. They will encourage you to do what you can and not push too hard if you're not comfortable. They also have virtual classes held in their classrooms that you can sign up for. They advise you get to class about 10-15 minutes ahead of time to set up your equipment. You can easily sign up for classes and drop out. You have to call in to drop out if it's within an hour of the class. Right now there are no penalties for no-shows/cancellations, but they are likely going to enforce that in the future for fairness. I agree the equipment is limited, but often relatively open. Evenings can get pretty busy. Overall, I feel like coming here has been fun and helpful with my fitness goals!

Not a pleasant experience, overly crowded, definitely better alternatives. Additionally workers are not welcoming to guest.

My first time playing pickleball here and the pickleball community was very welcoming and patient with me.

Great gym, awesome staff and childcare…read more The only reason I give 4 stars is sometimes the equipment takes a very long time to get repaired. I still recommend this gym to anyone, especially parents

Apparently, they were sued by THREE counties' DAs years back, so they have a history of predatory practices, but don't take my word for it, read for yourselves: https://bakersfieldnow.com/news/local/in-shape-agrees-to-23m-settlement-with-kern-other-counties-over-consumer-practices Adj: Hazards to Health in Locker room Bond location women's locker room looks to be improving, but deep crevices and tile and grouts in bathroom showers and floors could still use more deep cleaning at least once a year, this is a very high utilization location. The showers are the same, but might've had a deep clean, we've not been here in months, but some noticeable improvements seem to be there in the women's bathroom. But the shower area floors (and the hallways leading to the showers) were soaking wet and truly a safety issue, a major slip and fall hazard which is quite concerning. No staff was seen in the women's locker room at all in the 1.5-2 hours I was there changing, then going to work out and then coming back to shower, etc. Staff at front desk was welcoming, but didn't see any staff cleaning at all, and janitorial staff (assuming there are some at this huge location) can't keep up and/or have not done a thorough job. It's always crowded here regardless of time of day and so the cleanliness is a huge issue. Dropping off the younger one to the kids' club, there was nothing really for him to do since there's no basketball hoop (kids sized or one of those portable ones filled w/sand/water in the bottom) and there's only that indoor play structure/netted cubes thing that he's outgrown, so he ended up reading while we worked out which kind of defeated the purposes for him to go exercise. In the back, there's the swimming pool which certainly is big and there several of them, people do their lap swimming here, and there's a more recreation pool too, so that's another nice feature in the warmer months and those are frequently packed. B/C of this the floor is even more wet in spring through fall months when the pools are open, so maybe more mopping up every couple of hours or for a staff to check or even just leave a mop for members to mop up the wet floor is a good idea so people don't slip and fall in the locker rooms. Overall, some slight improvements since our last visit, but can still use more consistent cleaning and upkeep.

I'm very disappointed with how this club treats its swim team members…read more Although we pay both membership fees and swim team fees, swimmers are not allowed to use club towels, spa facilities, or the adult locker room, even when children are accompanied by adults and under supervision. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members. What is particularly frustrating is that these rules and differences in treatment were not clearly explained at the time of joining or during the sign-up process. Members are not made aware in advance that swimmers may be treated differently or have more restricted access compared to other members. There have also been repeated instances where a female parent has entered the boys' locker room many many times, which raises additional concerns about how locker room access rules are being enforced and managed. I have raised these issues with management, but they have not been addressed in a transparent or satisfactory way. If you are considering joining with children in the swim team, I would strongly recommend asking very specific questions about facility access and how policies are applied before committing.

Hands down, the best gym I have ever had the privilege to work with. I have spent so many years…read moretrying different workout classes at different gyms, trying to find one that really stuck with me, but so many of those classes felt impersonal and disconnected, like they see you as just another client but are not actually interested in helping you reach your goals. Not here! Coaches JB, Jojo, Kendall, and Kai all know you by name here and treat you like family from the get go. I have tried losing weight so many times in the past, to the point where I did really unhealthy things for years to try to get the number on the scale to go down. Then, a few months after I started at this gym, they proposed the challenge to lose 20 pounds in six weeks. I had never lost that much weight ever, let alone in six weeks, but given that I'd already lost 10 pounds since starting at the gym from diet and exercise, I figured it'd be worth a shot. It was HARD. A lifestyle change through and through. Going to the gym 4-5 times a week, getting 10K steps minimum a day, and eating so clean were things I was not used to. But they were with me every step of the way checking on me and my progress. And in the end, I lost 26 pounds in 6 weeks!! I've never been prouder of myself, and I am so thankful to this gym for their support. I think if there's anything that I'd change about this challenge, I would have liked for there to be another metric besides weight that could be used to track progress and constitute a "success" for the challenge. I say this because I saw some of the other people at the gym doing the challenge that were obviously losing inches all over their bodies but were still stressed out because the number on the scale was not reflecting the progress they were seeing. So maybe for future challenges, if there's a way to make it like "20 pounds or X amount of inches lost in six weeks" I think that'd be good. Just a suggestion though! All things considered, the people I spoke to that were stressed about the number were still able to push through and make it in the end. Thank you guys so much for changing my life. I appreciate it more than you know
