I signed my niece up for one of their camps and the twice a week coding classes. I noticed they clean your laptop and mouse after each use and sanitizing the tables and chairs. Everyone is wearing masks and with good distancing. We are so glad that this place is open for kids during this difficult time

    Email confirming the activities

I had my child's 7th bday party at code ninjas today. I took chance bec I wanted something new for the kids. I guess I had set up high expectations but I failed. I was not impressed and very unsatisfied with the service. When I signed up and deposited to schedule the party, I was told it's for 2 hours, the first 30 mins are for food and singing and 90 mins for stem robotics Minecraft. When we arrived, the attendant told me there's going to be 1 hour in the lobby for food. I did not prepare for any other activities bec I thought they will facilitate something for the kids. Such a waste of time. Then another hour spent for stem - there's 3 stations where kids rotate. And last 30 mins for the balloon game Robotics. The during the balloon game, only 9 tables were available bec one got broken and no spare! So the one visitor didn't get to play. We were told she can play tandem with another player which was unfair bec both of them will only get portion of time spent without extension. There were 2 attendants but only one stays with kids. The kids does not have background with computers and robotics, they need assistance. The other Sensei I guess was training Denny, but he was just in the lobby working on his computer and not with the kids :( I hate to make bad reviews bec I want to help business around EG. However, I hope this review will help them improve their services.

I feel welcomed to bring my kid here. My little one loves to come and he definitely learn a lot! The environment is kids friendly, and staffs are very helpful and patient. I strongly recommend this place. It's definitely a great place for kids to have fun and learn problem solving.

I love going here twice a week to do coding. I aspire to be a engineer, so this helps a lot! I am currently going JavaScript and Python. Would recommend

Both my kids love coming here! They can learn coding and making their own video games. This is the new way of learning nowadays, better start them when they are young!

    Birthday party!

We signed up for the 30 minute game building session on a Saturday. Both my kids love it so much that they didn't want to leave! We signed our kids up for the drop in program and we will do the off track camps when the kids are off track as well! They offer parents night out on Fridays!

    Fun!

Awesome place! We joined the Elk Grove location and our child loves it! They keep the kids fully engaged for either a 1/2 day or full day with multiple options of classes. From drop in camps to day camps or summer camps on the most popular programming and topics that are relevant to each age group. Wish this was my idea!! They learn and have fun while building technical and life skills dealing with technology and team building. This gives diverse groups a chance to team build and problem solve in a safe, clean, and fun learning environment. Well definitely sign up for ongoing classes here at the Elk grove location and more summer camps!

I started this program because I was already working at a Dental Office doing front office/…read moreinsurance work but needed the knowledge and background. It was a great experience! It worked with my schedule and gave me the tools I needed to excel at what I do. It is an excellent program!! It is a 10 week program that's financially affordable and you're able to complete even if you have a full time job, I know I did! You will meet with your instructor twice a week, one day you will do your classroom portion and the next day you'll be doing your practical/ lab portion with your classmates. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way, you will be able to find an externship which will help with your experience and in finding a job!

I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. When i am done with the program i may write another review on how it was. Pretty sure it'll be awesome!! :D

Charles Joshua and Lenny were awesome instructors. It gave me confidence that if I was in a survival situation I could survive with very little for prolonged periods of time. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a very challenging week in a wild. They say on the website be ready to suffer and they aren't kidding. It's not for the weak. When you finish, you feel like you walk a little taller.

I expected a hardcore, intense experience with instructors/ drill sergeants that may get mad for asking too many questions and send me out in the wild to fend for myself. That is not what I got (thankfully!). I was met with instructors approachable, eager to teacher, flexible, offering a wealth of knowledge, and genuinely great personalities. Not once did I feel I was a burden despite asking a bunch of questions, actually I was further encouraged. Both water and food were provided as well, as stated. Far from funding for yourself. That said I did walk away with a wealth of knowledge providing me with a greater confidence in a wilderness survival situation if I were to encounter one. We covered shelter making, several ways of fire making, several ways of water purification and collection, and most importantly (I think) preparedness to prevent getting yourself in a survival situation in the first place. For the 3-day course, wilderness 1st aid was also covered. I've been CPR certified for well over a decade. Prior knowledge helped, but wilderness is another ball of wax I came to learn and respect. All in all, great experience

Doing a quick Yelp search, CJ Sewing popped up as one of the top rated alterations establishments in Elk Grove. I immediately scheduled an appointment for the following day. Since I was in such a frenzy, I totally overlooked the instructions in Ms. Jackson's (business owner) appointment confirmation email (the email states that you should bring a long sleeve shirt, a belt, and dress shoes if you're having a suit altered). When I showed up to the establishment, I was warmly greeted by Ms. Jackson and her cute furry friend- Sir Winston. As fate would have it, my suit jacket did not require altering; therefore, the belt and dress shoes that I had on were sufficient. Ms. Jackson is definitely a wealth of knowledge and respectfully shared with me that the slim fit suit pants that I had were not appropriate for my athletic build (slim waist & thick quads). However, she walked me through the alterations that she would make that would complement my physique. On the expected pickup date, Ms. Jackson informed me that she would need additional time and could drop the pants off to me later that afternoon . This was not a problem considering that I dropped the pants off at the last minute. Also, I really appreciated her communication. As promised, Ms. Jackson dropped the pants off and they were a perfect fit. Thank you CJ Sewing!

I tried CJ Sewing because of the positive Yelp reviews, but unfortunately my experience was very…read moredifferent. I brought in my maid-of-honor dress for my sister's destination wedding. The color was discontinued, so I asked about adding a corset back and a hem. I was quoted over $375 for those alterations. When I asked about a first-responder discount (because my fiancé is one), she responded by asking whether he was the one with the dress. The comment felt dismissive of the impact first-responder life has on a whole family. I then asked about a graduate-student discount, and she began asking several personal questions about my education. I even offered to show my student ID, to which she said she was "just trying to make conversation" and that she would take $50 off--but the exchange still felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. She scheduled me to return in two weeks for the first fitting, where I would try on the corset and we would mark the hem. However, when I arrived, the corset wasn't completed. She explained she had difficulty finding a matching back panel and ribbon, which I understand since the color was discontinued. What concerned me was that she hadn't sourced materials ahead of time and didn't offer alternative solutions (such as lace) until I prompted her. She even suggested using fabric from the third layer of my dress for the back panel--something that would clearly be visible in photos--and only agreed it wasn't a good idea after I pointed it out. During the first fitting, I also told her that the corset was pinching my back and I didn't like the way it looked. She said nothing and offered no explanation. I later learned that with a corset, you're supposed to shift your back toward the sides to prevent pinching--something she failed to mention, and possibly didn't know. I had also repeatedly struggled with the straps since my first appointment, and instead of offering to re-sew them, she recommended adhesive. When I asked about simply re-stitching them, she hesitated and commented about my "budget," which felt judgmental and unprofessional. She then quoted $40. Because of the missed deadline, lack of proactive solutions, and overall unprofessional communication, I decided not to continue the alterations and returned to pick up my dress. At pickup, I told her I would pay for the work she had completed and compensate her for her time marking the hem. She initially agreed, but then tried to charge me the full cost of the corset--even though it was unfinished. She also tried to charge me for a hem that was never sewn (just pinned). After going back and forth--and telling her I wasn't there to argue--she charged me $25 for the 30 minutes she spent marking the hem and the partial corset work. I ultimately paid $150 for half a corset and pins she removed. Overall, this was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this business.
