We had such a great time at this indoor play area! They've really thought of everything to make it fun for the kids and relaxing for the parents. There's a separate painting area where little artists can get creative without worrying about the mess. A huge win in my book! I also really appreciated that there's a special zone just for the newly walking toddlers, so they can explore safely without getting accidentally trampled by the bigger kids racing around. Parents aren't forgotten either! There are plenty of tables where you can sit and enjoy the free coffee (yes, FREE!) or feed your kiddo some snacks when they need a break. It's nice not to feel like you're just pacing around the whole time. Another highlight was the costume corner where kids can play dress up -- such a cute touch and it kept them entertained for ages. And of course, the big slide was the ultimate favorite, the kids must have gone down it a hundred times and still weren't ready to leave! Overall, it's the perfect mix of safe, fun, and parent-friendly. We'll definitely be back!

My family enjoyed ourselves immensely here. Probably more catered to younger children. My six year old had some much fun here though I would say he's easily amused and can play for hours on his own. Really nice and welcoming environment. Snacks are a bit on the expensive side but happy to support a small business. Lots of fun and easy place to watch your kid have fun and be creative.

Cute new indoor play center in old Elk Grove! They just opened up this week so we came to check it out, since it was raining outside today. They open at 8am everyday, which is awesome! A lot of kids places don't open until later in the morning but if you're a parent, you know that they're ready to get that energy out first thing in the morning! When we walked in, the lady explained everything to us thoroughly. They have complimentary tea and coffee available for the parents, and even free amenities like wipes and diapers, and phone chargers to use! There are a few tables near the drink area, and a couple of tables and couch in the main play area. If your kid is more independent it's definitely doable to bring your work while they play! Lots of fun play areas and things to do, despite it being a smaller size play center! I thought it was fairly priced for the size of the place. It was $12 for 2 hours and $10 for a sibling. Two hours was plenty of time here. They have a fun glow in the dark room with lights and a slide and a calm Animal Planet type show. They should probably screen the shows though because I walked in at one point and it was showing baby cubs eating a dead zebra... It's a cool concept in the room but not a ton to do, plus it's super dark. The colors and decor are all done really well! And it feels very clean and open, which it should since it's brand new! It'll be interesting to see how they evolve and if they plan to rotate toys or the layout as they're open longer. It was pretty cold inside when we went. They're probably trying to account for body heat which makes sense because I hate when indoor play places are so hot! But since we were one of two families at the time, it was freezing cold so just bring a jacket in case! I provided my feedback to the owner on Instagram and they were super receptive to it. They ask for feedback when they come in so just know that they are open to bad or good, just tell them so they can improve on it and know what people like! Overall great spot, we will definitely be back because it's so close to home. I think I saw on their Instagram you can pay a little more for an all day pass and come as you wish all day! That would be awesome for the weekdays since they're open until 8, which is surprisingly late for a kids play center!

What an adorable play place that's center stage of what used to be our little town, now big City! Think Art Beast (Downtown) meet small town. This was absolutely the best birthday venue for our son's 5th birthday celebration with friends. We can't wait to go back for free play with friends!

This play space is very cute! Cozy and has a lot of different areas to play with. There's an area to jump, climb, and art room, and more. There is an area with tables and chairs for having a snack or other food. They also have tea, novels for the grown-ups to read, and snacks and drinks you can buy. Very well thought out place- great for families and kids.

My boys and I stumbled upon this space while driving around looking for new places to explore -- and what a gem we found! They absolutely LOVED it. They said they felt like they were using more "brain power" as they created their masterpieces, learned about momentum by figuring out how to pass a ball through tubes, and even role-played everything from a supermarket to fine dining. As a parent, I loved seeing them completely screen-free and fully immersed in imaginative play. The space is fun, colorful, and thoughtfully designed to spark creativity and curiosity. Brian was especially warm and welcoming -- he even helped the boys submit their artwork to be featured in the kids' showcase happening in April. Thank you for creating such a magical place for kids to just be kids!

We came for the first time yesterday and my kids loved it! Felt very safe and inviting. Absolutely love the art room. Climbing structure was sturdy and safe. Great choice of costumes. We stopped going to another competitor because it did become overwhelming for my kids and coming here felt very relaxed and not so overstimulating. It's great to keep in mind that kids get overstimulated and I see they have a date coming up next week where they dim the lights and lower the music. A+ for that! Because not only do kids need environments like this so do parents like myself. Btw my kids didn't want to leave. They wanted to spend the night. lol!

I can't say enough good things about space to play! As a parent of a child with ASD, finding a safe and welcoming environment where my child can play and interact comfortably is priceless. The facilities are thoughtfully designed, with sensory-friendly elements that cater perfectly to kids on the spectrum. But what truly sets space to play apart is the owner's Morgan warmth and understanding. From the moment we walked in, we felt like family. The owner took the time to chat with us, learn about our child's needs, and ensure we felt completely at ease. Their dedication to creating an inclusive space for all children shines through in every aspect of the play place. My child had an absolute blast exploring the various play areas, and I couldn't be happier seeing them so engaged and joyful. It's evident that the owner and staff genuinely care about every child who walks through the door, and that's something truly special. Thank you, space to play! for providing such a wonderful experience for families like mine. We'll definitely be back soon! Also it's very clean !

Would this be appropriate for an 11 year old?

I feel that this is best for 2 to 6 year olds. The size of the play equipment and activities are best for little kids.

My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

My kids started playing pickleball, and came to a clinic taught be a coach. It was good times. The courts are nice, they are heavily used according to the wife, as tons of people from all around town come here to play quite competitively in the mornings. Recreational players who are so good, they look like pros to us. Anyways, lots of retired folks and others who come to play because this is a great sport for all. Well, the kids look like they have enjoyed it so far, it looks to be fun. There's 6 courts here and very spacious. Nets look in good condition, courts look good too, the pavement looks a little worn here and there, but I also could tell it's all kept up pretty well. The fence here is good too, so it's pretty secluded, there's some seating w/a couple of tables w/a shaded patio cover right by the courts for resting if not playing. I took a few pictures of the BBQ area so I'd remember how much room there is for future parties, plenty of picnic tables and the water feature/spray park area is nice too. That part won't start till after Memorial Day, according to the wife. It was windy the day we came for pickleball, but I ended up playing a few games too after the clinic ended, and wife and I both had a good workout and it was fun. Must work these old bones or we'll fall apart, haha We'll be back.

Adj: Fantastically Fun!…read more Oasis Community Park, a highly anticipated park that opened several years ago at the corner Knotts and Whitelock Parkway between the newer Walmart on Whitelock and the Elk Grove Auto Mall. My kids really like this park, it's not my favorite as a parent and I'll go into that later, but this park is one of the newest ones in Elk Grove and it's been a good one, even though it's now been open about 3+ years, we've not bored of it at all. We used to come here a lot, but my kids are a bit older now and they're not as into parks anymore, but if we meet up with their friends here and have a "park date," then they're totally up for it b/c there's a lot to do here. First there's a concrete walking trail around the whole park, so parents can walk their dogs or just themselves =P around and keep an eye on their kids at the same time. One side of the park (north side) features an OASIS water spray zone where there's several water shooting from the ground thingamabobs (yup!) as well as some coming out of fake palm trees and animals that are quite powerful and give the kids a fun run for their money as they try to dodge the water OR run across the water features over and over again or jump on them to get super wet. This is great in the hot dry summers in EG. On the south side of the park are several play structures for different age groups. There's climbing ones and sliding down ones, and swings and a small ropes course type structure. I like that there's playgrounds designed for different age groups based on their age appropriate development. So the 1 star knocked off is that as a parent, this park is super spread out and there's not really any shaded areas (there's the general tarp shades over each play structure) w/SEATING for parents to be close to so they can supervise their kids (at least when they're little), the giant gazebo (more details below) is all the way in the middle of the park and the structures are more towards the southern part, so it's harder to watch one's kids especially if each kid wants to play in a different section. So that's a bit of a safety issue and why it's not my favorite park to take my kids to from a parent's POV. Other offerings at Oasis park are great too, to include an exercise equipment section, basketball court, 2 soccer fields that are lighted at night, multiple pickleball courts that are opened and lighted till late like 10p, and a couple of tennis courts too. Then there's also a concrete ping pong table (may need the stronger balls for this), a dog park, a huge gazebo right in the middle of the park that is perfect for parties, with 2 BBQs grills built-in with 8 tables, 2 smaller gazebos with 1 built-in BBQ, all of which are great as a hanging out place for parents and kids alike to cool down after fun in the sun. There's also so much open grass area for free play, volleyball, or just running around, and everything's nicely landscaped and maintained, so there's no lack of fun to be had here. Overall, Oasis Park is an excellent park and definitely one of the best if not the best park in EG!
