Had a birthday party for my 5 year old daughter.. easy party l, great time, wonderful service.

Horrible!!! We came here on a Sunday and it wasn't horribly busy but had a small crowd. The woman at the register seemed to need help. She was talking to herself and we weren't sure if she heard a word we said. It was later proven when we finally got our order. We waited over an hour to get our pizza, we ordered a medium and they gave us a personal pizza. There are not a lot of games to choose from and overall this location is just not worth coming too. We are going to try a couple different locations and hope for a different outcome from this one. read more

Tim was wonderful at the Sam's Circle Chesapeake location. He was very accommodating and was very prompt with set up. He was very organized and was available along with his colleagues when help was needed. Everything was professional, and we had a great experience. I think this place is great! Come in on an early morning or early afternoon and they place is virtually empty leaving all the games, rides, climbing tunnel apparatus freed up for your kid to run rampid ! This is a toddler and big kid friendly place, there are baby changing tables, lots of tables to reserve to eat. Staff is so friendly, attentive & fix games immediately when the game eats your tokens. There are two sections, one side is geared more for toddler & smaller children, the other is for taller bigger children and adults alike. Adults are allowed in the climbing apparatus so you can go with your child if you are worried! This location still uses tokens, go to their website for discounts on tokens!!!! They do accept military discounts as well! Overall best first experience, great pizza, they have a big menu of pizza, salads and other foods! My toddler couldn't get enough of all of the games and loved the prizes! read more

Hubby and I brought our little one here on a Saturday evening for some pizza and games. The lady at the counter was nice and helpful enough to suggest which package to purchase since we don't come often. We ordered the large pizza with 4 soft drinks and 2 cups of coins. I also ordered a 1 trip to the salad bar. The salad with good. The pizza came at a decent time and it was very yummy. It had the perfect amount of cheese and the garlic salt on the crust was to die for! Games. ok so there were many games that were out of order. This was disappointing. There were several games that took our money and either did not start a game, or did not give us tickets. I alerted the guy behind the counter and he immediately called one of the guys to fix it. They did this right on the spot and gave us back our money. Nice. I feel like it could be a bit cleaner, floors near the salad bar was VERY STICKY. I did see someone constantly cleaning the salad bar area and refilling it. One issue with safety. When we left around 8:30pm that night, there was no one at the front to check our stamps. I turned to an employee to wave my arm so he come and check it. I have mixed opinions of this location. My son loves CEC & this is the closest one to us. The pizza is good, but the drink area is ALWAYS disgusting. Besides soda, they only have a nasty fruit punch & DIET lemonade 4 kids to drink. They need better selections. It took 10 mins for someone to take my order & it is completely DEAD in here tonight. I purposely came around 8 pm to avoid a crowd. It's not my favorite place, but my son enjoyed his birthday so I am good. This place definitely needs work in the customer service & cleanliness categories. read more

Came here on a week day with the kiddos, and I've got to say some of staff that was working that Tuesday evening were very unfriendly accept Chuck-E-Cheese himself. The lady that was stamping our hands, was not kid friendly... didnt seem like she liked her job. Instead of telling my nephew nicely to turn his arm around, she said "wrong side, turn it around"... no pls or anything and when it came to my daughters hand... my daughter was giving her the wrong arm, the lady kept saying "other arm, other arm" with a slight attitude. I was about to say something, but instead we turned around and went to Lynnhaven location which is a lot cleaner and bigger with more games to play! TIP: found out this Chuck-E-Cheese is not a Corporate location, they don't accept a lot of the coupons. read more

We just had a wonderful birthday party experience yesterday at this location! First of all, the price point was extremely reasonable. We paid about $200 for a full two hour party with decorations, pizza, drinks, lots of game play for kids, ticket blaster experience, and a cute Chuck E Cheese birthday presentation. We just brought cupcakes and gift bags (so easy!) The party host and hostess were wonderful. We had never had a party here before and they help guide me through it. The host and hostess helped with timing, letting us know what was coming next, and what to be prepared for. We would definitely have a party here again! Thanks so much to the staff. One recommendation I would ask is for there to be an option to TIP the hard working host and hostess! read more

Sloooooooooooooooooooow service. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to come up to the counter to sell us tokens. We were going to buy a dessert to share but decided not to because of how long it took just to have someone at the counter. The guy at the kid check had the most energy and that isn't saying much because he just stood there AHA. So we stayed a little over two hours. This chuck e cheese still has the play area where kids can climb up and around the ceiling. They have animatronics.. that don't move. Womp womp. They took out the little carousel... replaced it with a crappy gun game. I will say this Chuck E Cheeses has a good amount of 'ridey' games for kids... and the dog pounder which is my sons favorite. That's why they get 2 stars instead of 1. Dog pounder works. So the policy at chuck e cheeses is chuck e comes out every 30 minutes to see the kids and get pictures. I'm there for 90 MINUTES and asked multiple times (multiple people, too) when Chuck E was coming out because my son goes ape crap for it. They said every time, 'No idea but probably soon.' Gee. So chuck e came out after TWO HOURS of being there... for less than 2 minutes. He did a walk through and went back in the back. Another worker was telling chuck e he needed to hurry and get back.. kids couldn't even get their picture taken with him. My son was extremely disappointed. So far the only location that has a some what decent chuck e cheese is Hampton (they come out every 30 minutes whether there's 9384038 kids there or 3) and the Western Branch location but even that location I had to ask where he has... but they at least interacted with the children. The inside is a lot smaller than what it appears. Take the drive out to Western Branch instead of stopping here... but the dog pounder is broken and they don't know when it'll be fixed.. if they choose to fix it or pull it instead. read more

We took our two year old daughter here on a Saturday night & the place was trashed. There was trash on the ground everywhere & not many clean tables. We ordered a pizza that took longer than expected after looking around to see that there were not many others waiting for food (so why was ours taking so long). Once we were done eating & took her around to play some games, many were out of tickets. This is where we also noticed more trash littered throughout. Regardless, we did have a good time watching our daughter smile but we will not be back to this location. read more

It's just ok in here. I wouldn't recommend this location, but if you are in the area oh well. Only a few games in here...only a handful work. We barely see chuck e. when we visit here. We actually didn't see him At all today. Hes supposed to come out every half hour. Pizza and drinks are good. Came here on a Friday afternoon when they opened and it was super clean and they check temperatures at the door! They took away the indoor play place but my daughter still had a blast! I love that they have cards now that you can refill to play the games. The manager on duty was super nice and they were constantly cleaning after customers! We will be back! read more

This place isn't as bad as the reviews state. It really isn't that bad at all but keep in mind my daughters did not go in the slide area and we did not try the food and drinks here. I just brought my daughters here to play a few games and go on the rides. While walking into this Chuck E Cheese I was pleasantly surprised to not smell the smell of feet. Now I have been in plenty of those Chuck E Cheeses and it's definitely something you don't want to smell when you first walk in. I'm just counting the minutes when ill be walking out the door. So that's the first thing that surprised me. True there are not a lot of games and rides there but my 1 and 6 year old had a blast. In the end isn't that all that counts and the objective of being there in the first place? In addition, the place was clean and all the rides with the exception of one were working fine. The staff was friendly too. I'll be back to bring my daughters because I'm sure they'll want to come back. This chuckie cheese is sad. Half the games work and the selection of games is terrible. The staff which was barely there, wasn't very helpful. The birthday singing with Chuckie was terrible, barely could hear the audio, the assistant was just mouthing the words so there was nothing for the crowd of kids to yell to. read more

This Chuck E Cheese location is OUTSTANDING!!!! The GF pizza was amazing and fresh, and the bone in buffalo wings were extremely good. The whole place was clean and the staff was polite. You don't normally think of great food when you think of CEC but this location has got it. The game selection was pretty nice as well. We will for sure be back again soon. read more

SKIP IT!! FIND ANOTHER LOCATION! We haven't even received our pizza yet. But the service just ordering it was horrendous. I asked about the military specials and was told by 2 different cashiers and then the manager that I would have to go on the website and find the coupons. THERE IN NO COUPONS, only tells you the military packages. When my husband showed his retired military ID, we were told that it's for active duty only. Only after I referred her to the website, where it says retired military, did she honor the military package. RIDICULOUS!!! read more

We took our daughter to the Sensory Sunday event at this Chuck E. Cheese, and had an absolute wonderful experience! The staff was more than accommodating, and were so helpful in ensuring we enjoyed ourselves. I can only hope every Chuck E. Cheese hosts an event as well as this one does! read more

Went here to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday. Children had fun of course but other issues and concerns are we never saw Chuck E! There were not many options for birthday decorations. I came here with a party of 10, so we ordered 2XL pizza's, and 1 Large pizza. The pizza's came out faster than any other Chuck E Cheese i've been too, which was a great thing because the kids were hungry. The only thing I did not like about my experience at this location is that it's small, bathrooms weren't as clean, and when the kids were "dancing with chuck-e" they blocked the entrance and my party were on the way out. That was such bad timing. It is unprofessional to block an entrance, what happened to fire/safety hazards? Kids will not want to move out the way if something were to happen, they are more focused on Chuck-e. Other than that, the staff was lovely but this location is pretty small and crowded. read more

Now I remember why I don't like celebrating at these type of places...but it was a last minute decision...how the (insert curse word of choice) do you tell the staff three dam times that somebody's child has passed on the slide and they don't even bother to send somebody to clean it. I know they haven't because I'm sitting right in front of the damn thing. That is at the very least trifling.
