We've been fans of Chubby's since their first hole-in-the-wall near the PG Macey's. Every restaurant they open (this is the latest; we came to the grand opening) has consistent quality across the board. My favorites to recommend are the Chubby's Cheesesteak (on the hoagie, not the burger version), Southern Crispy Chicken Sandwich, chicken tenders (thick ranch dressing), and hearty salads. For sides, we like both types of fries, hush puppies, and the scones. Sometimes they have fresh peach cobbler for the shakes (Dairy Queen style of ice cream), which is dreamy, but the banana creme pie shake is a winner, too. read more

I noticed Chubby's was high on the list for favorite burger joints in the state and thought I had to give them a try. I have several favorite burger joints and wanted to see how they stacked up. Must have! Beer battered fries 5 stars - They were more crispy than the other fries. They provided a mountain of fries. American burger - 3ish stars maybe 4 - very basic burger. Overall tasty but nothing to brag about. I wanted to try their basic option to accurately compare two other burger joints in the area. I thought the bun would not hold up well but it did. They have a massive menu and I look forward to trying other options in the future. Hawaiian burger - 4 stars - the teriyaki sauce was over powering. It tasted like a mix between a teriyaki and a barbecue sauce. The one who ordered it ate it quickly with no comments until I asked what she thought. Pepsi is the beverage of choice here. I feel morally obligated to not give a five star review to a place that serves only Pepsi products unless they offer a super Mixology unit that allows for a lot of options. Overall Chubby's has some good vibes about it. The place was clean and the staff friendly. I'm glad they are here in Riverton. We will be back to sample more of the menu. read more

What an amazing little spot for burgers! We were in the mood for a bite to eat and went in to grab some lunch. The service was amazing. They chatted with us and even grabbed some scones for us to try. They seem really intent on making it our new favorite family burger spot. Jalapeño burger was absolutely "to die for"! Solid place to grab a legit traditional burger/fries with a soft buttery bun and good sides selection. This is a fast dining joint- we usually get the bacon blue burger and Jalapeño burger, both are awesome- love the bread and the many various sauce selections they have. The beer battered fries are the way to go IMO because they're crispy/crunchy and well fried, the mac, scone, and banana pudding are great and overall this place is sheer comfort food to the max and feels like a backyard at-home BBQ vibe. My only suggestion is that in the 4xs we've been here, there has been slight inconsistencies- I'd say 2/4 have been really good (burger and fries cooked on point) - incredibly satisfying and pretty memorable in terms of "good" and the other 2xs have been good still but burger was a little more well done than the other 2xs and hardly any fries came with our order. Other than that- for the category this place falls in, it's pretty legit for a comfort style burger and is somewhere we come often. If you're in an area that has a location, worth a try if you want some comfort food. read more

Their beef is from Creekstone Farms, thus it is halal and they are very accommodating of this - cleaning the grills, utensils, etc. Be sure to mention that you would like your burger halal, and they will exclude any pork products as well as prevent any cross-contamination. So I trust my first impressions before I overthink things. Chubby's is just another average, bordering on boring place to have a cheeseburger. The restaurant itself was just sterile and unwelcoming as it comes. The service staff was pleasant and accommodating but you're on your own after your first encounter. An empty towel dispenser on the table that served as napkins was underly impressive. I ordered the Chubby cheeseburger with a side salad with blue cheese. I think the burger was the highlight of my visit. Really a tasty well presented burger. Don't order the side salad cause it's NOT something they'll go down in history for serving. Chubby's is great but.... I was a little disappointed, we stopped in to get a shake. My family ordered 3 shakes just to try them out and see how they were. Well, we will never know, we waited about 30 minutes while we talked at a table, and it was very busy. I'm sure that was the real problem, but we never received our shakes and we ended up leaving and headed next door and purchased shakes from a drive through. I have been going to Chubby's for years. I worked close to their location in Pleasant Grove. I retired so I don't get down that way anymore. I was pleased they opened the location in Riverton. This place was severely disappointing. Ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. First problem, there was NO bacon. Second problem, this sandwich is huge and there is the tiniest amount of ranch. You cannot seriously call this a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. This was my first visit there. The second problem is I decided to give it another chance and went back a few weeks later. I made sure to check my order this time and they forgot my fries. When I told them, they were so inconvenienced and begrudgingly got my order of fries. Now, when I got home, I opened my sandwich (ordered the same sandwich as the first time thinking maybe it was a fluke) and it WAS NOT. Same amount of ranch and 1 half piece of the tiniest bacon. There's quality issues here and customer service issues. I don't see how there's so many positive reviews of this place. I highly doubt I'll be taking a third chance here. read more

We went to Chubby's Cafe yesterday for lunch, it was our first time. We had a large group of us, so we tried many menu items, all of them were very good. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich, I really liked the horseradish mayo and the French fries are the big chunky kind, I liked them, and the fry sauce was great and I usually don't care about fries so it was a nice surprise.
